After Marking The Cold and Aloof Omega Senior - Chapter 3
A night had passed, and the sky was now fully bright, with even a few rays of sunlight filtering into the cave.
There was no food nearby, so Fu Yu decided to go find something to eat. Before leaving, she glanced at Qing Yao, who was sleeping soundly against a smooth, flat rock, revealing a section of fair neck adorned with a blue fragrant snow blossom.
Last night, that flower had bloomed in its fullest glory, but now, everything had returned to calm, the petals once again closing in.
“Ah…” Fu Yu sighed as she looked at the flower, thinking she must find some nourishing food for her senior sister. After such an event, the flower spirit was at its most vulnerable.
Recalling the events of the previous night, Fu Yu’s emotions were deeply conflicted.
She never expected, truly never expected, that her usually ethereal, otherworldly senior sister could have such a passionate side.
After Qing Yao had fainted last night, Fu Yu had managed to suppress the restlessness within her and stepped out of the cave, only to be abruptly dragged back by Qing Yao, who had suddenly awakened and bound her with a white silk ribbon.
What followed was a complete transformation of the usually aloof, moon-on-high senior sister.
Her face remained as serene as ever, but her eyes held a hint of desire, something Fu Yu had never seen in Qing Yao before.
With those desire-laden eyes fixed on her, Qing Yao slowly drew closer.
Her scorching breath brushed against Fu Yu’s neck like a feather’s touch, stirring a faint itch that ignited flames across her entire body.
“Se…Senior Sister, we can’t do this.”
Qing Yao didn’t respond, only lingering near her neck. Fu Yu tried to pull back, but bound by the white silk, she couldn’t move at all.
Already bewitched by Qing Yao’s pheromones, Fu Yu was utterly defenseless against this.
She was, after all, only human.
Each loop of the silk ribbon tightened around her reason, weaving a cocoon of desire. Powerless, she was trapped within it, hovering between life and death.
“Senior Sister…”
Gentle caresses, lingering touches, the fragrance spreading…
…
Fu Yu closed her eyes, pulling herself out of the unbearable memories of the previous night. What met her gaze was still that celestial senior sister, her feathered robe of flowing light neatly arranged, something Fu Yu had helped her with afterward. Now, Qing Yao was completely different from the night before, so much so that Fu Yu almost wondered if it had all been a dream.
Enough! she couldn’t keep looking at her. It was time to fetch food.
Fu Yu arrived at the sect’s kitchen. The morning meal hour had already passed, and the sect only served food at designated times. The fare wasn’t ordinary mortal food but made from various spiritual plants, which helped purify impurities and enhance cultivation for practitioners.
Crouching low, she crept toward the stove. The head cook, Senior Sister Yun Tai, was dozing in a rocking chair not far away. With her naturally yellow hair and love for wearing entirely green dresses, Fu Yu thought she resembled a blooming rapeseed flower, no wonder her name was Yun Tai.
Sect rules forbade eating outside meal times; violators would be punished with a month of kitchen duty and a fine of two hundred spirit stones. Fu Yu’s original self was an insignificant nobody in the sect, her money pouch emptier than her face. Even after Fu Yu transmigrated, she hadn’t yet found a way to earn money, so her purse remained just as barren.
Spotting several stacks of buns on the stove, she stealthily tucked a few into the front of her robe. After searching a bit more, she noticed a pot of Clear Breeze Jade Dew on the table next to Senior Sister Yun Tai. Her eyes lit up, and she crept over, intending to take the entire pot.
Fearing that Yun Tai might wake up, Fu Yu didn’t watch her step and accidentally kicked the shoes Yun Tai had left on the floor. Stumbling, she lost her balance and nearly fell right on top of Yun Tai.
Fortunately, she managed to steady herself just in time.
Patting her chest, she inwardly praised her own stability…
But before she could finish her relief, Yun Tai, as if guided by some unseen force, chose that exact moment to turn over, her foot hooking neatly around Fu Yu’s calf.
Fu Yu lost her balance completely and tumbled toward Yun Tai.
In a panic, she braced her hands on the armrests of the rocking chair, suspending herself just above Yun Tai. Staring at Yun Tai’s face so close to hers, she unconsciously held her breath.
This was terrible, what if Senior Sister Yun Tai woke up now?
Unfortunately, Yun Tai did indeed open her eyes at that moment.
What followed was a long, bewildered stare between the two of them.
Fu Yu: It’s over, it’s over. I’m about to be caught red-handed stealing food. My money pouch…
Yun Tai, still groggy from sleep, took a moment to process the situation but soon realized that the youngest junior sister of their sect was somehow looming over her.
Blinking slowly, Yun Tai thought: Judging by the way little junior sister is positioned, according to the usual romance novels, this looks exactly like a secret admirer trying to steal a kiss.
Horrified by the thought, Yun Tai exclaimed, “Little junior sister, what are you doing?”
Fu Yu blurted out the first excuse that came to mind: “Senior Sister Yun Tai… Senior Sister You Li sent me to ask if I could borrow a jar of Breeze and Dew from you.”
Yun Tai and You Li were famously close, so close they could share underwear and often slept side by side. In her panic, Fu Yu decided to throw Senior Sister You Li under the bus.
Yun Tai: So, she failed at stealing a kiss and is too embarrassed to admit it, resorting to this kind of excuse. You Li just took a jar of Breeze and Dew this morning.
Both now standing, Yun Tai instinctively kept her distance from Fu Yu, eyeing her warily.
Fu Yu: Oh no, Senior Sister Yun Tai definitely didn’t buy my excuse. Look at that disgusted expression.
Hoping to win Yun Tai over, Fu Yu took a cheerful step forward, trying to close the distance and plead her case.
Seeing her approach, Yun Tai quickly retreated another step: What is little junior sister doing? Is she still not giving up?
Fu Yu said ingratiatingly, “Senior Sister Yun Tai, I know you’ve figured it out. I won’t hide it from you, just this once.” She held up a finger for emphasis. “Just once. Please say yes, okay?”
Yun Tai panicked: “You didn’t succeed earlier, and now you’re trying again while I’m awake?”
Fu Yu smiled: “It’s all because I’m so greedy. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely make it up to you in the future.”
Yun Tai: “Gr… greedy? And you come to me because you’re greedy?”
Fu Yu replied matter-of-factly, “If I’m greedy, who else would I go to but you?”
“If I’m greedy, who else would I go to but you…” The words echoed in Yun Tai’s mind twice, and with each repetition, she felt the urge to throttle her little junior sister. Unfortunately, years ago, while training down the mountain, she had suffered severe injuries and lost all her cultivation. She couldn’t even fight a regular mortal, let alone her junior sister. If little junior sister decided to force the issue, would her innocence remain intact?
Wait… little junior sister is a Leaf Person. I’m a Leaf Person too. What’s there to “force”? But… I’ve always told everyone I’m a Flower Person.
Yun Tai hesitated, torn: Should I tell little junior sister that I’m also a Leaf Person?
“Forget it, I can’t win in a fight anyway. It’s just a kiss, right? We’re all Ye people, a little smooch won’t cost me a limb. Might as well think of it as being nudged by a pig’s snout.”
Rapeseed made up her mind, closed her eyes, and struck a pose of heroic resignation. “Fine, go ahead. But remember, just once!”
Floating Jade hadn’t expected Senior Sister Rapeseed to agree so readily. Overjoyed, she quickly snatched the Clear Breeze Jade Dew from the table. “Thank you, Senior Sister! I’ll definitely make it up to you someday!”
With that, she bolted like a whirlwind, clutching her ill-gotten gains. Oh, her sect leader senior sister, she’d be back soon.
Rapeseed waited with her eyes shut for a long time, but the promised kiss from her junior sister never came. Cautiously, she cracked one eye open, the kitchen was empty. Where had her junior sister gone? Why had she disappeared? No kiss? But she’d already agreed! Well, this was a one-time-only opportunity. If her junior sister didn’t treasure it, there wouldn’t be another chance.
Rapeseed let out a long sigh of relief and settled back into the rocking chair. She reached for the teapot, intending to calm her nerves with a sip of her carefully brewed Clear Breeze Jade Dew, only to grasp at empty air.
Huh? Where’s the pot?
Meanwhile, Floating Jade rushed back to the cave with the buns and Clear Breeze Jade Dew, only to find the large rock where Qing Yao had leaned that morning now vacant.
Just as she began wondering where Qing Yao had gone, Xiao Mei, who had been silent all night, suddenly cried out: [Floating Jade, watch out!]
Immediately, an intense killing intent surged toward her from behind.
Floating Jade turned around to see a sword glare shooting toward her. She dodged sideways, and only then did she recognize the attacker, it was Qing Yao herself.
