After Marking The Cold and Aloof Omega Senior - Chapter 2
Fu Yu halted her steps and cautiously asked, “Who’s in there?”
Truth be told, she had already guessed from the voice, and coupled with Xiao Mei’s mention of the “main storyline,” she was even more certain, Qing Yao was inside.
There was no response from within the cave.
Fu Yu asked Xiao Mei silently in her mind: Is Qing Yao in the cave?
[Xiao Mei: Yes, yes! Go in and take a look!]
No way! Fu Yu resisted. Not only did she not move forward, she turned around and started walking back.
Her senses were filled with the fragrance of fragrant snow blossoms. She wanted to escape this scent as quickly as possible because she had discovered something rather troubling, the longer she smelled it, the more her head throbbed.
She was an Alpha, or in this world’s terms, a Leaf Person.
[Xiao Mei: Fu Yu, why are you walking back? Isn’t this the perfect time to win over Qing Yao?]
Fu Yu wanted to curse at her: Is this what you call the main storyline? Telling me to take advantage of someone in a vulnerable state? Are you insane?
While she still had her wits about her, she needed to leave quickly.
But Qing Yao’s scent seemed to envelop her. Even though she had already moved some distance from the cave entrance, she could still smell it clearly.
Her head throbbed more and more, and her body, at some point, had begun to grow feverish. It was almost like she had been drugged with an aphrodisiac.
Just then, Qing Yao’s voice came from the cave again: “Fu Yu.”
Fu Yu’s footsteps faltered, but after a moment’s hesitation, she continued walking as if she hadn’t heard.
Unexpectedly, Qing Yao spoke again immediately: “Come in.”
At these words, Fu Yu’s foot slipped, and she nearly tumbled into the pool. Fortunately, a white silk ribbon flew out from the cave entrance, swiftly wrapping around her waist and pulling her back, preventing her from falling into the water.
However, in the next moment, she almost wished she had fallen into the water. Because, after saving her, the white ribbon didn’t linger for even a moment. Instead, it lifted her into the air, “whooshing” her straight into the cave, and then “thumped” her onto the cold, hard ground.
Her right hand happened to land on a corner of white fabric, the hem of the Feathered Radiance Gown, the attire of the Guiyu Sect’s leader.
Fu Yu followed the Feathered Radiance Gown upward and saw a beautiful face before her.
Qing Yao’s eyes were closed, her long lashes lowered. In her usual demeanor, she was unreadable, her aura cool and detached, always giving off a sense of distance, like a white dream-blooming flower atop the clouds, ethereal and untouchable, to be admired from afar but never profaned.
But now, this dream-blooming flower had appeared in a wild mountain cave. The cave was dim, and she was the only light.
She still wore the Feathered Radiance Gown that symbolized her status, her expression cold and solemn. Yet, her cheeks were tinged with an unusual flush.
This flush resembled blooming peach blossoms, adding a rare touch of spring to her snow-like stillness and coolness.
“Sect Leader, Senior Sister,” Fu Yu murmured, staring at her in a daze.
Qing Yao slowly opened her eyes, her expression as calm as ever. If not for the intense scent of pheromones and the blush on her face, she wouldn’t have seemed like someone in her flowering period at all.
Qing Yao said, “This place is a forbidden area of our sect. How did you get in?”
Fu Yu cursed Xiao Mei silently in her heart, but she couldn’t explain Xiao Mei’s existence to Qing Yao. So, she made up an excuse on the spot: “I couldn’t sleep at night, so I practiced the teleportation spell. And then… I ended up here. I didn’t expect you to be here too, Sect Leader.” As she spoke, she scrambled up from the ground, secretly observing Qing Yao’s expression. Seeing no change in her face, she couldn’t tell whether Qing Yao believed her or not.
But whether she believed it or not didn’t matter, she needed to leave quickly now, because she had discovered that the closer she got to Qing Yao, the more intense the restlessness and impulse within her became.
“Sister You Li mentioned that you are in seclusion, Sister Sect Leader, so I won’t disturb you further.”
After saying this, Fu Yu turned to leave the cave. However, before she had taken more than a few steps, she heard a sudden “sputter” from behind.
Fu Yu paused mid-step, the sound was unmistakably that of someone spitting blood.
She turned back to look and, sure enough, clusters of crimson blossoms had bloomed on the pristine white immortal-feather gown. The scent of blood mingled with pheromones, making her breath catch and her head spin even more.
Fu Yu secretly pinched herself to stay alert and hurried back, asking with concern, “Sister Sect Leader, what’s wrong with you?”
Qing Yao’s lips were still stained with blood, as if she had applied a vivid rouge, lending her an aura of bewitching allure. She shook her head slowly. “It’s nothing, Fu Yu. The scent on you…”
Fu Yu felt a little embarrassed. What scent could it be? She hadn’t been in heat originally, but just now, provoked by Qing Yao’s pheromones, she had involuntarily released her own. It was strange… in her previous life, even if she accidentally caught the scent of an Omega’s pheromones, she would never have been induced into an early heat and released her own. Why was it that now, after only a brief exposure to Qing Yao’s scent, she had…?
She swallowed hard as she stared at Qing Yao’s exquisite lips. “If you’re alright, Sister, I’d better take my leave.”
Qing Yao nodded. “Alright.” But no sooner had she spoken than she fainted, collapsing rather dangerously into Fu Yu’s arms.
Fu Yu froze completely, and what followed was an inexplicable sense of comfort, like the relief of finally drinking water after a day of thirst. Fu Yu understood that this comfort came from the skin-to-skin contact between her body and the flower-like person in her arms.
Fu Yu hadn’t expected that just holding her like this could evoke such a feeling. If they were to go further, wouldn’t the sensation be even more…? What was she thinking? How could she entertain such thoughts? Shameless!
She was utterly terrified, afraid that she might lose control and do something to the future celestial maiden…
Fu Yu anxiously asked Xiao Mei, “What do I do? What do I do?”
Xiao Mei was brimming with excitement: [Only a fool would pass up an opportunity like this!]
Fu Yu: “???”
[Xiao Mei: Don’t worry, the system has privacy protection settings. When you engage in recreational activities, the system will automatically be blocked. I definitely won’t be able to spy on you.]
Fu Yu: “…”
Her senior sister, who was usually so powerful, ethereal, and transcendent, like an immortal descended to earth, was now in her arms, so fragrant and alluring. Restraining herself was proving to be extremely difficult.
Maybe she should just run. After all, this woman was a true powerhouse, destined to ascend and become an immortal one day. She definitely wouldn’t die here.
Sensing her thoughts, Xiao Mei promptly poured cold water on the idea: [You can’t leave, or you’ll die.]
Fu Yu: “Why?”
[Xiao Mei: Because Qing Yao’s pheromones are toxic.]
Fu Yu was shocked: “What?”
[Xiao Mei: Didn’t you know? There is an extremely rare type of person in the world whose pheromones are called ‘Death Aphrodisiac.’ They can induce others into an early heat and are so potent that anyone who catches their scent becomes addicted. If the person leaves the scent before their heat subsides, it’s like consuming poisonous mushrooms, they’ll hallucinate and die inexplicably.]
Fu Yu: “So?”
[Xiao Mei: So, not taking advantage of a bargain makes you a fool.]
Fu Yu: “…”
Their scents intertwined as Fu Yu held Qing Yao, not daring to move an inch, terrified that the slightest misstep might ignite an uncontrollable blaze.
Perhaps a temporary mark could alleviate the suffering.
Sensing Fu Yu’s thoughts, Xiao Mei automatically entered a shielded state.
Her right hand slowly rose, reaching toward the left side of Qing Yao’s neck, where a pale blue Xiangxue flower bud mark had appeared due to her entering the flowering period. Fu Yu knew that all it took was to stain that lofty flower with a touch of worldly desire to make it bloom…
