- Which Fierce Alpha Disguises as a Beta to Abduct a Wife?
- Chapter 22 - He and His Bodyguard, Jiang Huaiyan, Are Together
In another private booth at the Summit.
Fang Yanting smashed every liquor bottle on the coffee table in a fit of rage. Alcohol splashed everywhere, and shards of glass sliced into the feet of those nearby. The people in the room screamed, scrambling to escape.
“Who dares to leave? Sit your asses down!” Fang Yanting’s face was distorted with fury. He grabbed the nearest Omega and flung them onto the sofa.
The Omega let out a terrified shriek. Fang Yanting pointed a jagged, broken bottle at the Omega’s face. “Do you look down on me too?”
“No, I don’t…”
“Then why are you running? Everyone, sit back down!” Fang Yanting pointed angrily at the other Omegas who had reached the door. Terrified to resist, they could only sit back down in tears.
Fang Yanting continued his rampage, venting his rage on every corner of the booth. Just moments ago, his family had called him. His engagement had been canceled by the Zhou family.
He had actually been dumped by Zhou Yunqiu. How dared he?
Not only that, but the Fang family had issued an ultimatum: if he didn’t win Zhou Yunqiu back, he didn’t need to bother coming home! That little bitch—how dared he treat him like this?
While he was seething, a sudden knock came at the door. He kicked the door frame and roared, “Get out! Everyone, get the hell out!”
The person outside faltered for a second, then continued to knock. Fang Yanting, incensed, yanked the door open, ready to strike whoever was there.
“I know the real reason Zhou Yunqiu canceled the engagement,” the visitor said hurriedly, his face pale as he noticed Fang Yanting’s aggressive stance.
Fang Yanting’s movement froze. He carefully sized up the man outside. “Xiao Yi? Aren’t you Zhou Yunqiu’s best friend?”
“Not anymore. Let me in to talk?” Xiao Yi glanced inside. Though he was displeased by the scene, he couldn’t speak in the hallway where there were too many prying eyes and ears.
Fang Yanting let him in and slammed the door shut. He sat on the sofa, maliciously pulling a crying Omega into his arms and kissing them several times. “Speak. Quickly.”
“He and his bodyguard, Jiang Huaiyan, are together.”
Fang Yanting snapped his head up, his eyes filled with disbelief.
“I saw it with my own eyes. Your Omega has already been unfaithful with his bodyguard.”
Fang Yanting suddenly recalled the scene he had witnessed that afternoon at the school gates. At the time, he had recognized Zhou Yunqiu’s car by the logo, but since the windows were tinted, he couldn’t see inside. If those two were kissing in there, everything made sense. That was why the window had rolled down so slowly, and why their lips were so red!
So that was it. Zhou Yunqiu actually dared to cuckold him? How dared he!
“Don’t tell anyone I was the one who told you. What you do now is up to you,” Xiao Yi said. He peeked out the door to ensure no one was watching before hurrying out.
The more Fang Yanting thought about it, the angrier he became. He clenched his fists and marched out. Near the first-floor entrance, he spotted Jiang Huaiyan walking ahead. Jiang Huaiyan had an exceptional physique; he stood out like a crane among a flock of chickens, making him very easy to identify.
Fang Yanting rushed up and delivered a kick toward Jiang Huaiyan. Jiang Huaiyan was talking to Duan Mingxu and didn’t notice him in time; unable to dodge, he took the hit squarely.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Duan Mingxu was startled and turned to glare at Fang Yanting.
Fang Yanting grabbed Jiang Huaiyan, attempting to strike again. Jiang Huaiyan caught his fist firmly, twisted his arm, and pinned him to the ground, leaving him unable to move.
“Jiang Huaiyan, you bastard, you dare to sleep with my man? No wonder that little bitch canceled the engagement; it turns out he’s hooked up with you!” Fang Yanting struggled to get up, shouting as he fought.
A cold glint flashed in Jiang Huaiyan’s deep eyes. He applied direct pressure, causing Fang Yanting’s insults to turn into cries of agony. “Ow, ow, ow! Let go of me…”
“Who are you calling a little bitch?” Jiang Huaiyan asked in a frigid tone.
“You’re a fucking bodyguard! You dare lay a hand on me? Do you know who I am?”
“I know. You’re the trash that was kicked out by the Fang family.” Jiang Huaiyan released him and pulled out a tissue to wipe his hands, as if he had touched something filthy.
Fang Yanting scrambled up, backing away several steps in fear, though his mouth remained foul. “It’s Zhou Yunqiu who gave you the courage to hit me, isn’t it? What did he give you?”
“His body? No wonder he canceled the engagement; he’s been trysting with a bodyguard like you.”
“That little bitch must have released his pheromones when he was seducing you. It’s a pity you’re a Beta and can’t smell the stench of his pheromones, otherwise—AH!”
Jiang Huaiyan couldn’t hold back and landed two heavy punches on Fang Yanting. Fang Yanting was dazed by the blows and collapsed on the ground, unable to rise.
Jiang Huaiyan stepped on his face, grinding his heel down. “Zhou Yunqiu and I are perfectly innocent. As for you, don’t you have any idea why he canceled the engagement? I don’t need to count how many Omegas you’ve had on the side. With the way you mess around, it’s only a matter of time before you rot. Zhou Yunqiu was wise to cancel on you.”
“You being dumped wasn’t a mistake at all. Now that you’re no longer his fiancé, if you ever dare to speak like that again or try to harm him, I have every right as his bodyguard to teach trash like you a lesson.”
Fang Yanting lay flat on the ground, not daring to move an inch for fear that Jiang Huaiyan would snap his neck.
“One more warning: don’t go looking for death.” Jiang Huaiyan lifted his foot and turned to leave.
Word of Jiang Huaiyan hitting Fang Yanting quickly reached Zhou Yunqiu’s ears. Zhou Yunqiu was beyond excited. He cares about me this much… surely he must have feelings for me?
He couldn’t wait and immediately dialed Jiang Huaiyan’s number.
“Little Young Master, is there something you need this late?”
“I heard you hit Fang Yanting at the Summit. Why?”
“Are you worried about him?” Jiang Huaiyan asked.
“How could I be? I’m asking why you did it. Is it because you like me a little, and you were standing up for me?” In his heart, Zhou Yunqiu was involuntarily filled with expectation.
But Jiang Huaiyan shattered that hope. “He was disrespectful toward you. I was merely fulfilling my duties as a bodyguard.”
Zhou Yunqiu: “…That’s all?”
“Yes. No matter who it is, if they are disrespectful toward you, I will take action.”
“Jiang Huaiyan, couldn’t you just lie to me?” Zhou Yunqiu bit his lip, his left hand instinctively clutching the area over his heart. For some reason, it felt a little painful there.
“Little Young Master, I am your bodyguard. I cannot lie to you.”
Zhou Yunqiu flew into a rage. “Jiang Huaiyan, you are so annoying! Go to hell!” He promptly hung up the phone.
After hanging up, he felt even worse. He didn’t know why he was like this—he just felt uncomfortable, wanting to go crazy, wanting to torment Jiang Huaiyan. It was a pity the man wasn’t beside him, or he would have certainly given him a hard time!
The next day.
Zhou Yunqiu slept until the sun was high in the sky. When he woke up, there were many missed calls from Fang Yanting. Seeing the caller ID, his mood soured instantly. He had forgotten to block the man last night; he did so immediately now! He hoped to never see him again for the rest of his life.
He washed up and went downstairs. Just as he finished his first meal of the day, he saw Jiang Huaiyan walking in carrying a suitcase.
He ran over in surprise and asked excitedly, “Are you moving in to stay with me?”
