- Which Fierce Alpha Disguises as a Beta to Abduct a Wife?
- Chapter 12 - Feed Me Mouth to Mouth
Jiang Huaiyan: Go to his house? Was he crazy, or had Zhou Yunqiu lost his mind?
“It’s too dark here, I don’t dare stay. I don’t want to go to my big brother’s place either; he’s always lecturing me.” Zhou Yunqiu put on a pitiful act, looking at Jiang Huaiyan with a look of pure grievance. “Going to your house is just right.”
“We can stay at a hotel.” Jiang Huaiyan had no intention of bringing this person home; it was too easy to expose the fact that he was an Alpha there.
“Why won’t you let me go to your house? Do you have something shameful hidden there?” Zhou Yunqiu pouted, acting extremely offended.
“No. It’s just not appropriate.”
“I’m an Omega and even I don’t think it’s inappropriate. You won’t let me go simply because you’re afraid I’ll discover something. You haven’t… hidden a mistress away, have you?”
Just as Jiang Huaiyan was about to explain, his nose suddenly caught the scent of a strange pheromone.
There was someone outside!
He immediately went on full alert, pulling Zhou Yunqiu into a guest room on the first floor. “Don’t make a sound. Lock the door.”
Zhou Yunqiu’s eyes widened. “Someone is here?” He seemed to catch the scent of pheromones as well.
“I’m going to go check.”
“Don’t go! I don’t dare stay here alone.” Zhou Yunqiu didn’t want Jiang Huaiyan to go outside and take risks. He was alone; even if he was a great fighter, what if there were many of them?
“It’s fine. I’m just going out to take a look. Be good, don’t make me worry.” Jiang Huaiyan closed the door and urged him to lock it once more before leaving.
Listening to Jiang Huaiyan’s receding footsteps, Zhou Yunqiu couldn’t stop the fear from creeping back in. The surrounding darkness felt like a physical weight pressing down on his chest. Holding his phone, he squatted in the corner, illuminating his own little corner of the world.
Even though there was light right in front of him, he couldn’t stop the feeling of distress. He desperately wanted to hear Jiang Huaiyan’s voice. He instinctively reached out to call him, but only realized after pulling up the number that the man was just outside the villa. If he called, he might expose Jiang Huaiyan’s position. He quickly put his phone away, forbidding himself from calling.
He put his finger in his mouth again. Between his lips, he tasted the metallic tang of thick blood. He furrowed his brows, forcing himself to redirect his attention. When Jiang Huaiyan wasn’t here yet, when had he bitten his finger? Why didn’t it feel painful then?
Had he really reached such a level of terror?
Jiang Huaiyan. If Jiang Huaiyan wasn’t here, what would happen to me?
Jiang Huaiyan… Jiang Huaiyan…
He kept screaming the name in his heart, using it to alleviate that unbearable feeling of suffocation.
Time passed second by second. Ten minutes went by, and Jiang Huaiyan hadn’t come back inside. Fifteen minutes passed, and he was still gone. Could he have run into danger?
This suspicion made Zhou Yunqiu unable to sit still. Even though he was terrified—so scared that even breathing was difficult—he mustered his courage, pulled open the guest room door, and walked out on shaky legs.
The moment he opened the villa’s front door, several concentrated scents of pheromones slammed into his senses. He collapsed to the floor instantly, breaking into a cold sweat from the discomfort, a pained sound escaping his throat.
Hearing the commotion, Jiang Huaiyan quickly retracted his highly aggressive Alpha pheromones. He scooped Zhou Yunqiu up and bundled him into the car. This brief moment of rescue gave the intruders time to flee.
Seeing that he couldn’t give chase, Jiang Huaiyan got into the car as well, worriedly rubbing Zhou Yunqiu’s face. “Young Master, how are you?”
“I… I feel so sick.” Those pheromones were all extremely aggressive and very hostile toward an Omega like him.
“Take the medicine.” Jiang Huaiyan took two pills used for stabilizing pheromones and brought them to Zhou Yunqiu’s lips.
Zhou Yunqiu was so distressed that even opening his mouth was a struggle.
“Be good, open up,” Jiang Huaiyan coaxed softly.
Hearing that voice, Zhou Yunqiu’s eyelids struggled to open a crack. “You feed me.”
“How am I supposed to feed you if you won’t open your mouth?”
“Feed me mouth-to-mouth. Pry open my teeth, and then… mgh…” Before he could finish his sentence, Jiang Huaiyan had already forcefully shoved the pills into his mouth.
The movement was quite rough.
“You’re so mean,” Zhou Yunqiu’s eyes turned red.
Jiang Huaiyan ignored the little rascal who was trying to push his luck. In a situation like this, the boy was still trying to flirt with him. Zhou Yunqiu hummed twice in dissatisfaction and swallowed the medicine.
Jiang Huaiyan started the car to take Zhou Yunqiu to a hotel. After taking the stabilizer, Zhou Yunqiu recovered before long.
He frowned and asked, “Someone was trying to harm me just now?”
“Yes.”
“I think I smelled a familiar scent.” Having sobered up, Zhou Yunqiu’s memory was excellent. Although the situation had been chaotic and there were many types of pheromones, he had still distinguished that specific scent.
Jiang Huaiyan asked with a guilty conscience, “What scent?”
“Bergamot.” Zhou Yunqiu looked at his profile. “Why would there be bergamot pheromones? That scent is the same as the sachet you gave me last time.”
“Is that so? Unfortunately, I can’t smell it,” Jiang Huaiyan feigned ignorance.
Just now, he had used his pheromones to attack those people, suppressing them outside the villa. But he hadn’t expected Zhou Yunqiu to come out.
“I have to say, that scent is actually quite nice,” Zhou Yunqiu praised seriously.
Jiang Huaiyan: “…” Why does this make me feel inexplicably happy?
“Sigh, why do you have to be a Beta?” Zhou Yunqiu sighed helplessly. After sighing, he looked at Jiang Huaiyan’s face with a look of infatuation. “But then again, it’s a good thing you’re a Beta.”
Jiang Huaiyan’s curiosity was thoroughly piqued. “Why?”
Zhou Yunqiu wore a cheeky expression. “Not telling you.”
Jiang Huaiyan ground his teeth, calling him a little rascal in his head once again.
They soon arrived at the hotel. Zhou Yunqiu refused to get out of the car, glaring at him with a hurt expression. “Why won’t you let me go to your house? Do you hate me that much?”
“No.”
“Then take me to your house.”
“My place is messy; it’s not suitable for you.”
“I don’t mind you.”
“Are you really not going to stay at the hotel?” Jiang Huaiyan looked at him seriously.
“I’m not!”
“Then I’ll take you to the eldest Young Master’s place.” Jiang Huaiyan made a move to restart the car.
Zhou Yunqiu panicked. “No, no, no! I’ll stay at the hotel! I’ll stay, okay?!”
Jiang Huaiyan smiled with satisfaction and got out to open the door for him. Zhou Yunqiu gave him an annoyed glare and quickly hopped out.
This hotel was under the Zhou family’s banner and had their own private suite. Once they reached the room, Zhou Yunqiu wanted to take a shower. Jiang Huaiyan stopped him with a first-aid kit. “Treat the wounds on your hand first.”
Zhou Yunqiu originally wanted to refuse directly, but thinking of what might happen later, he obediently sat on the sofa and held out his blood-stained hand. “Be gentle, okay?”
“Now you feel the pain?”
“Mm-hm, it hurts so much.” Actually, it wasn’t that bad—these minor injuries were nothing to him—but it was necessary to play the victim in advance.
Hearing him say it was painful, Jiang Huaiyan unconsciously softened his touch. While applying the medicine, Zhou Yunqiu gasped exaggeratedly.
Jiang Huaiyan was skeptical. “Does it really hurt that much?” Usually, the boy wouldn’t make a sound if he got a small injury.
Zhou Yunqiu pouted, nodding with red eyes. “It’s killing me.”
Jiang Huaiyan: “…”
After the wounds were treated, Zhou Yunqiu looked at him as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “Now that my fingers are bandaged, I can’t wash myself. You help me.”
