What to Do If the White Moonlight Omega Falls in Love with Me - Chapter 32
Aside from her irritation, Yan Qingran watched Cha Yuxuan’s expression in the flickering light of the cinema screen. She looked flustered and completely at a loss.
Yan Qingran was worried and wanted to scold her, but she couldn’t bring herself to say anything harsh. Her heart ached for the girl; besides, she was the one who had initiated the invitation to go out.
Finally, she sighed and asked, “Do you still have any strength left?”
“Maybe…” Cha Yuxuan’s face gradually flushed a deep crimson. She tried to move her legs, but a wave of weakness hit her as the heat began to sweep through her body. She took a breath and said with difficulty, “I need you to support me.”
Yan Qingran saw her clenching her teeth. She picked up the bags nearby and supported her as she stood up. Even through the fabric of their clothes, she could feel the scorching heat of the skin beneath.
“Just endure it a little longer.”
Almost half-carrying and half-embracing her, Yan Qingran guided Cha Yuxuan out of the screening hall. However, the overflowing scent of Omega pheromones suddenly triggered her Alpha possessiveness. She unconsciously raised her hand to cover the back of Cha Yuxuan’s neck, feeling the burning heat of the area through her hair and the scent-blocking patch.
Cha Yuxuan felt an irresistible urge to take a few more deep breaths of Yan Qingran’s pheromones. She wanted to press closely against the back of the Senior’s neck, just like the day she differentiated, and lightly nibble on that soft “flesh,” savoring it slowly.
Even though there was a restroom not far from the exit, it took them nearly ten minutes to reach it.
The ventilation fans in the restroom were running at full strength, so there was no unpleasant odor. Yan Qingran scanned the area; there were no empty Omega stalls, so she had no choice but to pull Cha Yuxuan into the Alpha restroom with her.
As soon as she let go, Cha Yuxuan slumped onto the toilet lid. Her body was so hot it felt like she was burning with a 41°C fever. Faint moans escaped her throat, and she struggled to catch her breath, looking as fragile as a porcelain doll.
Yan Qingran felt both pained and guilty. She quickly rummaged through the bag for the suppressants. With trembling hands, she tore open the packaging, biting her lip to suppress the heat rising within her own body. She said in a raspy voice, “Can you do it yourself?”
Cha Yuxuan raised her hand to take the suppressant. Yan Qingran immediately backed up two steps until her back hit the stall door, her own face flushing slightly. This relatively confined space was already filled with the seductive scent of an Omega in heat. The milky sweetness stimulated Yan Qingran’s senses wildly. She couldn’t help but swallow hard, turning her head away from Cha Yuxuan to avoid staring at her in such a vulnerable state.
Cha Yuxuan rolled up her sleeve, her hand shaking as she held the suppressant. Her vision was a blur of red and heat; Yan Qingran, standing right in front of her, was the only source of coolness in her world. However, she maintained her last shred of reason, biting her tongue to stay conscious.
With a muffled groan and the sound of the empty syringe hitting the floor, Yan Qingran finally exhaled. The door handle had been slightly deformed under her grip. Her chest heaved as she glanced at the now much-calmer Cha Yuxuan. She quickly opened the door and left the restroom somewhat abruptly, leaving behind only one sentence: “I’ll wait for you outside.”
Cha Yuxuan leaned weakly against the back of the toilet. She wiped away the physiological tears that had secreted from the injection, a small smile playing on her lips.
Heh, for a moment I thought the Senior was going to lose control…
After all, she had been perfectly aware of Yan Qingran’s small movements, even if she hadn’t reached out to stop them.
Yan Qingran stood at the sink and splashed her face with cold water several times. She pinched her thigh and ran through the corridors between the screening halls a few times until the agitation in her heart finally subsided. Just then, she had almost thought her own heat was going to be induced prematurely.
After the Storm
After Cha Yuxuan cleaned up the mess in the restroom, she walked out slowly with her bag. Upon reuniting, both were preoccupied with their own thoughts and quietly left the cinema. No one spoke first.
Finally, Cha Yuxuan tugged at Yan Qingran’s wrist and whispered, “I’m sorry. I was wrong.”
Yan Qingran remained silent for a moment, resisting the urge to turn and look at her.
Thinking she was truly angry, Cha Yuxuan squeezed Yan Qingran’s right hand in her palm and promised urgently, “Next time I’m in heat, I’ll definitely tell you in advance. I’ll stay in the dorm and won’t go out randomly.”
Yan Qingran wasn’t actually angry. She just didn’t want others to see the girl like this, or to smell the pheromones that belonged only to her. She gave a faint response, pulling her hand from the girl’s palm. “Is it the first day of your heat?”
“Mm-hmm. I felt a bit unwell last night and then I realized.” Cha Yuxuan downplayed the tearing pain she had felt the night before.
Yan Qingran turned to stare at her. “I’m taking you back.”
“No! I don’t want to go back.” Cha Yuxuan looked completely unwilling. She argued, “It’s the weekend, Sister. Is a kid not allowed to go out and play on the weekend? Staying in the dorm is so boring; I can only read or play on my phone.”
Yan Qingran shook her head. “I’ll take you out next weekend instead. Not today.” Her physiology lessons told her that the first day of an Omega’s heat made them not only weak but also very susceptible to illness. Staying home was the best choice.
“I’m not going.” Cha Yuxuan plopped down on a public wooden bench, looking like she couldn’t walk another step. What are you going to do about it?
Yan Qingran turned back to see a bratty kid throwing a tantrum. She shook her head helplessly. “Then what do you want to do?”
Cha Yuxuan counted on her fingers. “It’s true I have no strength, and it’s also true I don’t want to go back to the dorm. As long as I can hang out with the Senior, it’s fine.”
Yan Qingran thought for a moment. “My place? I’ll make you a clear broth hotpot. BBQ isn’t suitable for you right now; it’s too heavy. I’ll take you for BBQ next time.”
Cha Yuxuan nodded like a chick pecking for grain. “Okay!”
Yan Qingran walked over and crouched down with her back to her. “Should I carry you down?”
Cha Yuxuan stared at Yan Qingran’s not-so-broad back, her eyes reddening slightly. She sniffed, hiding her emotions. “Let’s just take the elevator. It’s easier.”
Yan Qingran nodded, stood up, and reached out to her. “That works too. It goes straight to the underground garage.” Cha Yuxuan took her hand and followed closely behind her toward the elevator.
The Supermarket Escapade
While waiting for the elevator, Yan Qingran planned the ingredients they would need for the hotpot. “We’ll have to stop by the supermarket to buy some things. You…”
Cha Yuxuan quickly interrupted, “I’m going with you.” Before Yan Qingran could respond, she added, “Who are you looking down on? I’m not terminally ill. I still have the strength to go shopping.”
Yan Qingran laughed. “We might need to walk through the entire supermarket. Besides the fresh food, we have to buy some snacks.” Of course, she didn’t eat many snacks; they were mostly for a certain “kid” who had just turned eighteen.
Cha Yuxuan straightened her chest. “I can do it!” But she immediately deflated. She grumbled to herself about why even talking took so much effort.
At the supermarket, Yan Qingran grabbed a large shopping cart, but then stopped by a cart with a baby seat and swapped it. By the time they finished buying the hotpot base, vegetables, meatballs, and beef slices, Cha Yuxuan was already regretting her decision. Her legs felt like they weighed a thousand pounds, and her head was groggy.
Yan Qingran pushed the cart next to her with a half-smile. “See? I had a feeling. I specifically chose the cart with a seat.” She patted the miniature seat. “Get in.”
Cha Yuxuan’s eyes widened. Her cheeks puffed out in anger, and she thumped Yan Qingran’s shoulder. “Shut up!”
Yan Qingran laughed and dodged. “Alright, alright.”
After her anger passed, Cha Yuxuan thought about it seriously. She moved the groceries to one side and tried to sit inside the cart, but realized there would be no room for anything else. She sighed, pulled her hoodie over her head, and sat down in the main part of the cart. She felt an instant relief. Even if it was embarrassing, she was doing it—she truly had no strength left. “Just push me to the front and then go buy the rest.”
Yan Qingran’s lips curled up. “Mm. When we pass the snack aisle, just grab whatever you want and hold it in your lap. Based on your weight being under 50kg, this cart won’t collapse.”
“I’m not even fifty! It won’t collapse!” Cha Yuxuan retorted instinctively. But catching the curious stares of people nearby, she wished she could find a black hole to crawl into. “Hurry up, Senior,” she whispered.
Yan Qingran immediately zoomed toward the snack aisle. Together, they raided the snacks before successfully reaching the checkout. Yan Qingran patted her hands. “Alright, get out. I’ll go pay.”
Cha Yuxuan handed the snacks to Yan Qingran and struggled out of the cart. “Don’t you need anything else?”
“No, that’s enough,” Yan Qingran nodded. “The snacks you like are the ones I like.”
Cha Yuxuan was about to reply when she suddenly spotted Yun Qi nearby. She immediately lowered her head and pressed herself against Yan Qingran’s back, clutching the fabric of her shirt. “Hide me!”
She had told Yun Qi she was going home, otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to leave. Running into her here was enough to make her want to disappear.
Yan Qingran moved toward the self-checkout, adjusting to the girl’s footsteps. “Mm?”
Cha Yuxuan saw Yun Qi approaching from the corner of her eye and tensed up. “Don’t say anything.”
Yan Qingran gave a low response and started scanning the items normally. Yun Qi walked over with a smile and glanced at the hotpot base. “Are you making hotpot, Senior?”
“Mm-hmm.”
Yun Qi’s gaze moved to the “tagalong” behind Yan Qingran. She noticed the outfit was identical to what Cha Yuxuan had worn that morning. She wanted to laugh but held it in, teasing, “Is this your kid? Is she this shy around strangers?”
Seeing her smile, Yan Qingran immediately understood. She played along, saying, “Yes. My kid.” As she spoke, she reached back and gently patted Cha Yuxuan’s soft, long hair.
