What to Do If the White Moonlight Omega Falls in Love with Me - Chapter 13
Jiang Xiaoping craned her neck to look toward the front. “Wow, I see Yan Qingran again. She really is so beautiful!”
Yan Na nodded in agreement. “And her outfit today is a bit cool. I am totally into it.”
Cha Yuxuan’s gaze was fixed on the gold-rimmed glasses with a chain resting on the bridge of Yan Qingran’s nose. It gave her a somewhat scholarly air, but more than that, it felt like…
“A refined scoundrel.”
Bai Hang voiced the exact feeling Cha Yuxuan had in her heart. “I mean the vibe she gives off, not her as a person. It is just perfect and suits her very well.”
Cha Yuxuan curled her lips into a smile. “It is hard to disagree with that.”
Yan Qingran placed a large stack of A4 papers on the chairs of the observer seats on both sides of the lecture hall. She divided them into three stacks and raised her hand to call Su Meng over for help. The two huddled together and discussed things in low voices. Once everything was clear, Yan Qingran turned and left the lecture hall.
She left so soon.
Cha Yuxuan stared at the door where Yan Qingran had exited with a sense of regret.
Su Meng leaned over to weigh the three stacks of paper. She stood up and let out a sigh; there was so much. She turned to scan the newly arrived freshmen in the hall and happened to lock eyes with Cha Yuxuan, who was looking her way.
It is the little junior from this morning. Time to find a laborer, she thought with a mischievous smile.
Cha Yuxuan saw Su Meng smiling at her and smiled back, completely unaware that she was about to be recruited for work.
Su Meng walked over to Cha Yuxuan with light steps and leaned against the back of the seat in the front row. “Hello. You arrived so early.”
Cha Yuxuan answered honestly. “Mhm. Since I arrived late this morning and did not have a seat, I learned my lesson and came early this afternoon.”
“That makes sense.” Su Meng nodded, then changed her tone. “Are you free right now? I would like to ask you for a favor. It will not interfere with your meeting later.”
Cha Yuxuan blinked. “Sure.”
“Follow me.”
Su Meng led Cha Yuxuan to the three stacks of paper. “These are the documents you will need for the meeting later. What we need to do now is staple these three pages together.”
As she spoke, she took three pages in order, aligned them according to the corner marks, and handed them to Cha Yuxuan. “Here.”
Cha Yuxuan looked over the three pages in her hand. “How should I staple them? With a stapler?”
“Mhm.” Su Meng leaned in close to her, tilting her head to point at the document in her hand. “Just staple the upper left corner.”
A faint scent of lychee drifted over.
“Okay.”
Cha Yuxuan’s earlobes felt a bit warm. She took a small, shy step back and looked left and right but could not find a stapler.
“Are you looking for the stapler?” Su Meng smiled playfully. “Yan Qingran went to get it. She will be back in a moment.”
“Mhm.”
Cha Yuxuan held the three pages, not daring to move an inch, just standing there awkwardly.
Su Meng chuckled. “You can look at the content. It is the training program for your class.”
“Mhm, mhm.”
Cha Yuxuan looked down at the paper, and the strands of hair by her face fell forward naturally.
This Alpha junior is so obedient, even though she is dressed like a rebel.
Su Meng could not resist reaching out to brush the hair away from her face, carefully tucking it behind her ear.
“Holy crap!”
In the distance, Bai Hang saw this scene and could not help but slap her thigh, startling the two people next to her.
Jiang Xiaoping looked at her indignant face and asked curiously, “What is wrong?”
Bai Hang pointed at the backs of Cha Yuxuan and Su Meng huddled together. “How can they be like that? That is way too intimate.”
Wooo, Senior Yan, the house is in danger! Come back quickly!
“Ah?” Yan Na leaned over to join the discussion. “How is it intimate?”
Bai Hang wore a mask of pain. “That Omega Senior is intentionally flirting with our little Cos. She just touched her face.” Her heart was screaming in resistance: You two have no future; Cha Yuxuan can only belong to Yan Qingran.
“Holy crap!”
Jiang Xiaoping and Yan Na looked at each other with excitement and shared a relieved smile.
“Our Cos’s spring has arrived! Maybe she will be the first one in our dorm to escape the single life.”
“Yeah, they look quite good together. That Senior looks very gentle.”
“Mhm. And the Senior probably knows how to dote on people. Cos is lucky.”
As the two of them chattered about how well-matched they were, Bai Hang chose to close her ears and eyes. It was better not to listen or look. She stood firmly on the side of the “Cha-Yan” ship and would not retreat a single step.
When Yan Qingran returned with the stapler, she happened to see the scene of Su Meng and Cha Yuxuan sticking close together.
Why is she here? And why are they so close?
Yan Qingran frowned slightly. Holding the stapler and a box of staples, she gradually approached the two.
“Ah, Senior Yan is back. Let’s start stapling.”
Cha Yuxuan moved away from Su Meng with a sense of relief, standing not far from Yan Qingran.
Su Meng raised an eyebrow and explained. “The quantity is a bit large, so I asked the little junior to help.”
“Mhm.” Yan Qingran walked between the two with her low-pressure aura. “We only have one stapler for the three of us. Let’s divide the work. Su Meng will be responsible for picking up the three pages in order. Cha Yuxuan will be responsible for stacking them neatly and handing them to my stapler. I will do the final step. How does that sound?”
“Sounds good.”
Cha Yuxuan quickly stacked the papers in her hand, looking ready for action. Su Meng naturally had no objections either.
Yan Qingran looked around. “Let’s go to that table over there. The chairs are too low.”
The three moved to their new station and began the task. Cha Yuxuan placed the neatly stacked papers into the mouth of the stapler, carefully moving them a few times to adjust the position.
Yan Qingran held the stapler and looked. “Keep your hands a bit further away. Be careful not to hurt yourself.”
Cha Yuxuan quickly moved her hands. “Oh, okay.”
A4 paper was only so large, and Yan Qingran felt as though she might prick the girl’s hand. She had to tilt her head and look from another angle to confirm she would not hit her before pressing down, then placed the stapled paper aside.
“Is it ready?”
Su Meng, holding three pages, pressed up against Cha Yuxuan from behind. Her arm rested on Cha Yuxuan’s shoulder, her eyes full of smiles, and her figure was quite curvaceous.
Cha Yuxuan was startled, but with the table in front of her, she had nowhere to retreat. She had to take the paper from Su Meng’s hand with a bit of stiffness. “It’s ready.”
Omegas… why are they so scary?
Yan Qingran glanced at the two and was about to speak.
Na Liangcai walked over with steady steps and patted her shoulder. “Finished counting. A total of 415 sets. Is that enough?”
Yan Qingran thought for a moment. There were 207 freshmen this year, so two sets per person meant one extra set. “It’s enough.”
“OK.” Na Liangcai looked at them and the A4 papers on the table. “Do you need help here?”
“What do you think?” Su Meng snapped back before Yan Qingran could answer.
Na Liangcai squeezed out a smile. “Fine. I’m leaving. Good luck, everyone.”
Cha Yuxuan continued to hand the papers toward the stapler, and Su Meng continued to stand close to Cha Yuxuan to provide the sheets. Yan Qingran’s lips pressed together, the corners of her eyes sharpening into a piercing upward slant. “Su Meng, can you move over that way a little?”
Why?
Su Meng looked up at her in confusion, but upon meeting her gaze, she couldn’t help but rein in her boldness and consciously moved aside.
Caught in the middle, Cha Yuxuan was beyond grateful to Yan Qingran. She blinked frantically at her and added a silly, grateful smile.
I just can’t stand seeing some seniors bullying a little junior, Yan Qingran explained to herself in her mind. However, she didn’t dare look at Cha Yuxuan’s expression a second time; she looked like a goofy Husky that had wandered out in a human skin.
The three continued stapling the documents. Everything went smoothly after that and was finished before the meeting began.
Yan Qingran tidied up the stapled freshman training programs and said to Cha Yuxuan, “Thank you for your hard work. You can go back and rest now.”
Cha Yuxuan smiled. “It wasn’t hard work, hee-hee. Let’s have dinner together next time we are free.”
Yan Qingran also let the corner of her mouth hook up. “Alright. I will treat you next time, especially if you join our Student Union.”
Cha Yuxuan gasped. “Wow, really? Then I must work hard to pass the interview and strive to work with you, Senior.”
Yan Qingran encouraged her. “The interview is actually quite simple. You can definitely pass.”
After all, since I am the lead interviewer, wouldn’t it be easy to go easy on you?
Cha Yuxuan was quite confident in herself. “Then I’ll thank you in advance for the dinner, Senior.”
“You’re welcome.”
Yan Qingran organized the training programs in her hand with a pleasant mood. Su Meng, standing nearby, suddenly felt like an outsider who couldn’t get a word in.
After Cha Yuxuan returned to her seat, she was inevitably interrogated by her roommates.
“Cos, let me ask you something.” Jiang Xiaoping stared at her with a grin. “Did that Omega Senior just now have feelings for you?”
“Which one? Su Meng?” Cha Yuxuan frowned. To be honest, she didn’t like that type; they were too clingy and made her feel uncomfortable.
“Yes, exactly. The one with the great figure and the super gentle smile.” Jiang Xiaoping and Yan Na both looked at her expectantly.
Cha Yuxuan thought about it and decided to be direct. “I don’t have any feelings for her.”
Bai Hang, who had been silent, clapped her hands. “I knew it! How could you possibly like someone like her?”
The other three in the dorm turned their gaze toward her. Cha Yuxuan also wanted to know why Bai Hang knew she didn’t like that type.
“Eh, just a guess. Sixth sense. Don’t look at me like that.” Under the pressure of six large eyes, Bai Hang naturally didn’t dare speak her inner thoughts. She had actually “locked” Yan Qingran and Cha Yuxuan together since the first time she saw them; the pair was just too well-matched. An AA relationship was even more exciting.
Jiang Xiaoping rolled her eyes at her and continued to discuss private matters with Cha Yuxuan. “Then what kind do you like? Your sisters will help you find someone.”
Yan Na also raised her hand to encourage her. “Right! The hope of our dorm escaping singlehood rests on you.”
“Well!” Cha Yuxuan thought seriously for a long time. “They shouldn’t be too clingy. The scent of their pheromones shouldn’t be too strong. They should be a bit tall, at least reaching my eyebrows. And they should have good features and a decent personality. Actually, the most important thing is that we have to get along well.”
