What to Do If the White Moonlight Omega Falls in Love with Me - Chapter 12
Yan Qingran?
Senior Yan truly had so many pursuers; they seemed to be everywhere.
Cha Yuxuan could not help but purse her lips.
Su Meng glanced at Na Liangcai. “What does it matter to you who I pursue?”
Na Liangcai turned his head away petulantly. “Humph. I am just warning the little junior not to be snatched away by a Red Wolf like you.”
“No need for you to worry.” Su Meng gave him a polite smile that carried a hint of warning, then continued her conversation with Cha Yuxuan. “Shall we add each other on WeChat?”
Cha Yuxuan replied obediently. “Mhm. I will scan you, Senior.”
“Alright.”
Cha Yuxuan took out her phone, tapped the screen, and aimed her camera at the QR code on Su Meng’s phone.
“Hey, scan mine too while you are at it. My name is Na Liangcai. It is a pleasure to meet you.” A large palm holding a small-screen phone ignored Su Meng’s eye-roll and thrust itself in front of Cha Yuxuan.
After sending the friend request to Su Meng, Cha Yuxuan immediately scanned his as well. “Sure.”
As an Alpha-in-training with a broad social circle, she was quite enthusiastic about making friends, especially with technical experts like these two who knew photography.
By the time they finished adding each other, it was eight-fifty. The hall was essentially full, and the recruitment video for Q University began playing on the screen.
Na Liangcai adjusted the angle of the video camera and turned around. “I should tell the little junior beforehand. Once the ceremony starts, we cannot chat near the photography area. It is a live broadcast, so the sound will be picked up.”
“Okay, Senior. I promise not to make a sound. Don’t worry.” Cha Yuxuan slid her right index finger across her lips in a zipping motion.
Su Meng was responsible for still photography. She scanned the hall. “No rush. It has not started yet; we can chat for a bit.”
“Oh, by the way,” Na Liangcai rested his chin in his hand, “Junior, should you consider joining our College Student Union? There are many benefits.”
The College Student Union? Yan Qingran was also in the Student Union. That suggested there were probably even more high-quality talents there, Cha Yuxuan thought to herself.
“Our newly appointed President, Yan Qingran, is a great beauty. When you registered yesterday, she should have been…” At this point, Na Liangcai turned to ask Su Meng, “Right?”
“Mhm. She was in charge of the Architecture Department side. Little junior, you are in Architecture too, right?” When Yan Qingran was mentioned, Su Meng’s eyes briefly flickered with a hint of loneliness, but she quickly adjusted.
So she was even the President.
Cha Yuxuan blinked. “Yes. I saw Senior Yan yesterday.”
She had even added her on WeChat and eaten dinner with her.
Na Liangcai asked, “What was your impression?”
Impression?
Cha Yuxuan thought for a moment. “I feel like she is a very good person. She is beautiful and has a good personality.”
Su Meng added with a sigh, “She just refuses to blossom.”
“Hahaha!” Na Liangcai was somewhat surprised. “Junior, it is quite rare that you did not feel stage fright when you first met Yan Qingran.”
Why would I have stage fright? Cha Yuxuan looked at him.
Na Liangcai seemed to guess what she wanted to ask, so he continued. “She just has that kind of powerful aura. She feels like someone you should not mess with. Combined with being very pretty, talking very little, and rarely smiling, people are often too afraid to look at her or strike up a conversation. She feels a bit aloof. That was my first impression of her.”
“Oh, I see.” Cha Yuxuan nodded.
Su Meng stared at the floor in front of her feet. “Actually, I felt much the same, but with more admiration. When you are with her, you invisibly feel that she is very capable and reliable. She is a very charismatic person.”
“Exactly, exactly.” Na Liangcai agreed. “Yan Qingran has a natural leadership quality when handling matters. She considers things comprehensively in a way that makes people believe in her.”
When Cha Yuxuan first saw Yan Qingran, she did not feel her aura was overwhelming. She only felt that this Alpha was exceptionally beautiful and perfectly matched her aesthetic preferences. Now that they had spent some time together, Cha Yuxuan could indeed appreciate the aspects Su Meng and Na Liangcai mentioned; she was a walking charisma machine.
“Yes. Senior Yan is indeed a hidden treasure.” The kind you would want to hide away but could not bear to, Cha Yuxuan thought.
At that moment, the subject of the conversation, Yan Qingran, was on the phone with her grandfather.
“No need. The house I am living in now is quite fine.”
If Yan Qingran had known that covering for Zhuang Wei would cause this much trouble, she definitely would not have done it. Yan Zhao felt that since Yan Qingran and Zhuang Wei were living together, her current small apartment was surely insufficient. Therefore, he wanted her to move to a larger place.
“Is it too small? It might be inconvenient. Grandpa asked Secretary Wang to look at several apartments near the school. The decor is quite nice and the locations are excellent; it would be convenient for your classes.”
Yan Qingran was silent for a while. “I will ask Zhuang Wei and get back to you.”
Yan Zhao repeatedly expressed his desire to arrange a large house for her. If she refused multiple times, it would be inappropriate. Besides, since Zhuang Wei caused this mess, it was better to let him handle the weight of it.
Hearing her agree, Yan Zhao’s tone softened considerably. “Mhm. You two discuss it. I will send you the apartment information in a bit.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up, Yan Qingran decided to talk to Zhuang Wei. They should talk in person, because she wanted to know his attitude toward their engagement and how to continue the lie they told her grandfather. These were all quite important.
“Hello? Are you free now? I have something to discuss with you.”
“I am free. However, I am no longer at the hospital. We can pick a place to meet.”
“Fine. You choose the location.”
“Then let it be Klein Cafe in District Seven. I will arrive around ten o’clock.”
“Mhm.”
Why was she suddenly concerned about an engagement she had never cared much about? Yan Qingran did not know why herself; perhaps it was just because it had come up so much over the past two days.
Opening ceremonies were always dull and vague. Cha Yuxuan could not help but let out her fourth yawn. The professor on stage was still talking at length, but most students below had their heads down, either playing on their phones or sleeping.
When the ceremony finally ended, Cha Yuxuan grabbed her backpack and prepared to bolt. Su Meng caught her backpack strap and stopped her. “Junior, don’t leave in such a hurry. Let’s take a group photo.”
Cha Yuxuan quickly returned to her spot. “Oh, okay.” Taking a photo should be quick, and her roommates were still waiting for her at the cafeteria.
Su Meng pulled her along for several photos and even used her camera to take full-body shots, promising to send them over after editing. Na Liangcai had finished packing his equipment, but Su Meng had not invited him for a photo. He blinked and pointed at himself. “What about me?”
Before Cha Yuxuan could answer, Su Meng cut him off. “Look at how sturdy you are. Are you suitable for taking photos with us petite girls?”
Having said that, Su Meng quickly turned to Cha Yuxuan to add, “Of course, the little junior is not ‘petite’ exactly; she is lean and strong.” She felt that Alphas generally did not like being called weak, even female Alphas.
“I…” Na Liangcai pointed at his 1.9-meter-tall frame. “This is the standard build for a male Alpha, okay? I just have a bit more muscle.”
Bickering aside, the two eventually pulled Cha Yuxuan in for a few group photos. If they ended up together, it would certainly be lively, Cha Yuxuan thought.
Cha Yuxuan could not help but think of Yan Qingran. What kind of Omega would an Alpha like her prefer? Someone petite and delicate, someone passionate and outgoing, or someone with a stunning figure? None of them seemed to quite match her. Cha Yuxuan could not imagine who would be able to handle Yan Qingran’s style.
That afternoon, after hearing that Cha Yuxuan had met two more seniors, Jiang Xiaoping and the others insisted they sit together for the afternoon meeting. Furthermore, they wanted to go early to find good seats. Cha Yuxuan naturally agreed.
They arrived at the lecture hall twenty minutes early. It was very quiet inside, with only a few people scattered about. Since it was an internal college meeting, there were no assigned seats.
Yan Na asked her roommates in a low voice, “Where should we sit?”
Cha Yuxuan thought for a second. “If you want to see the two seniors I met this morning, sit in the front row. They will definitely come to take photos.”
Jiang Xiaoping also wanted to sit in the front. “Let’s sit in the front. Based on my experience, that is where the big shots are.”
Bai Hang was actually a bit of a homebody and somewhat introverted, preferring the back row. “Sitting in the front is fine too.” She did not particularly want to expand her social circle, but living in a dorm required some adaptation to the group’s habits.
Yan Na found an ideal spot that was not too conspicuous but close enough. “How about the second row?”
“Sounds good.”
The four sat in the middle section of the second row, with Cha Yuxuan sitting by the aisle.
Jiang Xiaoping scrolled through her phone. “I heard we start military training tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?” Cha Yuxuan’s pupils dilated slightly. “That fast?”
Jiang Xiaoping showed them some photos. “Mhm. Someone saw staff moving our military training uniforms, and others said they saw groups of instructors in the cafeteria. It is reasonable to suspect it starts tomorrow.”
As she spoke, a commotion came from the entrance of the lecture hall. The four instinctively turned their gaze toward the door.
Na Liangcai entered carrying a large sack of items, followed by two other boys carrying another sack. Su Meng came in last, holding several sets of training uniforms in plastic bags labeled with names, with a camera hanging around her neck.
Jiang Xiaoping immediately spotted the uniforms. She looked at her roommates as if to say, See? I told you so.
The sound of footsteps did not stop. They were crisp and rhythmic, approaching from the distance.
Yan Qingran walked in gracefully, carrying a stack of A4 papers and wearing a pair of gold-rimmed glasses with a chain. Her outfit was no longer a stiff shirt and trousers; she wore a printed white t-shirt paired with black pencil pants and a pair of Martin boots that made her legs look exceptionally long.
“Na Liangcai, unpack all the uniforms and count them. If there are not enough, go back and get more immediately.”
