Turns Out Seducing the Movie Queen Can Break the Plot - Chapter 35.1
The night was pitch black, the moonlight lingering lazily.
In the barbecue area, smoke curled upward.
The three people sitting around chatted intermittently until the sound of footsteps interrupted them.
Su Jing returned to Bai Yuetong’s side and sat down. The latter glanced at him out of the corner of her eye.
Ji Mei, noticing his return, immediately fixed her gaze on him, her eyes brimming with unconcealed curiosity. “Teacher Su, what did you and Sister Wen talk about?”
Su Jing’s face was uncharacteristically devoid of a smile as he replied indifferently, “Nothing much.”
“By the way, could it be that Sister Wen confessed to you?” Ji Mei pressed on, unwilling to let it go. “Earlier, she even rejected Jiang Chi, who usually gives in to her 100% for your sake. Honestly, are the rumors online true? Has Sister Wen ever pursued you in private?”
Su Jing sneered inwardly. Reject Jiang Chi for his sake? It was clearly a reluctant choice made just to monopolize Jiang Chi. Faced with Ji Mei’s intense stare, he gave an ambiguous answer. “That’s a private matter. I’d rather not discuss it.”
At this point, Bai Yuetong turned to look at him properly and placed a piece of grilled meat in his bowl.
Once they had eaten their fill, Su Jing was the first to leave his seat. Bai Yuetong waited about thirty seconds before bidding farewell to Jin Jin Yi and Ji Mei, then followed after him.
As soon as she lifted the tent flap, a hand grabbed hers from inside and pulled her in. Before she could react, a rush of breath met her, and a pair of cold lips pressed against hers.
Su Jing’s movements were impatient, his hands roaming restlessly as he kissed her.
Bai Yuetong tried to push him away with force, but he only held her tighter, making her feel as though her waist might snap.
“Let go… the cameras.”
Understanding her concern, Su Jing released her. “Don’t worry, I’ve already covered them. Relax and enjoy.”
Bai Yuetong stopped resisting.
After what felt like an eternity, Bai Yuetong pounded his shoulder. “Enough.”
Su Jing reluctantly let her go, pressing his forehead against her neck and inhaling deeply.
Bai Yuetong allowed him to hold her, catching her breath before speaking. “Brother Su, what’s wrong?”
Su Jing remained silent for nearly a minute before slowly answering, “Wen Wen likes Jiang Chi. What’s more, she’s Jiang Chi’s childhood friend. She knows about my breakup with Jiang Chi and warned me not to bother her anymore.”
“Hah, ridiculous. Why would I bother that woman?”
Bai Yuetong frowned slightly. “Are you giving up on Jiang Chi as a resource?”
“No.” Su Jing sounded utterly confident. “I don’t need to chase her. She’ll come crawling back to me, begging to get back together.”
“Why are you so sure?” Though they couldn’t see each other’s expressions, Bai Yuetong’s voice was sweet and questioning, though her face remained blank.
“That night, she was just too angry after seeing me with you. And today, didn’t you see how she acted? She came up with excuses to get close to me, and even tried to kiss me on the way up the mountain. Though I pushed her away.” Su Jing nuzzled her neck. “Yue Yue, I only want to kiss you.”
Bai Yuetong, who had actually witnessed the entire scene: “…”
Since the start of the show’s recording, she had initially thought Jiang Chi was just angry at Su Jing, playing some game to get his attention. But based on her observations, Jiang Chi wasn’t playing games, she genuinely wanted to distance herself from Su Jing.
As for why Jiang Chi kept acting coquettishly and clingy around Su Jing, with inexplicably stiff body language, and that bizarre apology the other day, even encouraging her to pursue Su Jing. It was worth noting that Jiang Chi had once nearly fought her to the death just to prevent her from “stealing” Su Jing away…
In short, Jiang Chi now gave her an indescribably strange feeling.
Based on her observations, Su Jing definitely wouldn’t be useful in the long run.
Her deer-like eyes dimmed slightly: “Brother Su Jing, did you mean that Wen Wen likes women?”
“Exactly! I truly never expected such a beautiful and outstanding woman to be a pervert. Being a pervert herself is bad enough, but she even wants to corrupt others into becoming perverts too. Jiang Chi has always liked me, how could she suddenly switch to liking women?” Su Jing paused mid-sentence, as if remembering something, then spat out in disgust, “Just thinking about how I used to fawn over her makes me sick.”
“But,” Su Jing raised his head, studying Bai Yuetong seriously, “Yueyue, they say homosexuals are promiscuous, they’ll take anyone. Someone as irresistible as you. Have you considered putting in some effort to make Wen Wen a pawn you can control?”
Bai Yuetong had asked about Wen Wen’s preference for women with this exact thought in mind. Hearing Su Jing voice it so bluntly didn’t surprise her in the slightest. Perhaps she had once genuinely loved this man, but too many situations like this had completely worn away any expectations she had of him.
Now, no matter how shocking his words or how unreasonable his actions, nothing about him could surprise her anymore.
“I don’t think there’s any need to consider it. Right now, the company is throwing me a bone, they plan to push me as their new star next season. But let’s be honest, Jiang Chi practically runs the company single-handedly, and she’s so unpredictable. If she ever gets displeased, she could easily fabricate some excuse to kick me out.”
“But if I had Wen Wen as my backer, everything would be different. I’d have security, which means you’d have security too. What do you think?”
Su Jing felt an inexplicable irritation at how readily Bai Yuetong agreed, even though it had been his suggestion. Shouldn’t she at least ask something like, “Aren’t you reluctant to let me go to someone else?” or “Won’t you be jealous?” or “Don’t you love me anymore?” Yet her explanation was so flawlessly logical that he couldn’t find a single fault in it.
Kindred spirits in misery, they had no choice but to use every means possible to cling to whatever could change their fate.
Su Jing kissed the corner of her lips. “You’re working hard for us, baby. I know how disgusting this must be for you.”
Bai Yuetong smiled faintly and shook her head. Who was he calling disgusting? The most disgusting person in the world was standing right in front of her.
“I know I should have explained things to your mother last time, that was my mistake. But I did it for our future. You understand, don’t you, Yueyue?”
Bai Yuetong nodded.
“I might be a bit more attentive to Jiang Chi during this time to prevent a repeat of last time. I think it’s necessary for me to marry her as soon as possible. I’ve already prepared everything. Once she marries me, within two months, at least half of the Jiang family’s assets will be mine. Baby, don’t get jealous then. I’ll make it up to you later, okay?”
Little did she know she might never live to see that day. She could only rely on herself, Bai Yuetong thought, but obediently replied, “Okay.”
Su Jing: “You’re truly the best, Yue Yue. I love you, Yue Yue.”
In the dry, cramped bathroom, an ambiguous atmosphere swirled as the temperature rose.
Peach-blossom eyes locked onto those dark pupils, hands trailing down Jiang Chi’s spine to her waist, slipping beneath her shirt. Every uttered word seemed like a seductive whisper: “Why aren’t you saying anything? If you stay indifferent like this, this sister will be very disappointed, you know.”
With soft warmth in her arms and body heat seeping through the thin quick-dry fabric, Jiang Chi felt her mind melting. The cool, sandalwood scent unique to Wen Wen enveloped her, and even if she held her breath, it seemed to seep through her pores, reaching her bloodstream and igniting a simmering heat. Her fingers involuntarily clenched the tent fabric behind her.
Jiang Chi wanted to do something but didn’t know what.
Did she want to push her away?
A cacophony of chaotic voices roared in her mind, and Jiang Chi felt as if her head might explode. For a moment, she didn’t even know where she was.
Until a sharp pain pierced her skin.
Her mind snapped back to clarity. Jiang Chi lowered her gaze. “Sister, don’t bite me…”
Wen Wen obliged, releasing her. Gazing at the dazed woman before her, she lightly patted her cheek. “Good girl, enough playing. Go wash up. Sister is tired and wants to rest.”
Jiang Chi blinked twice, her gaze still somewhat dazed when she reopened her eyes. The earlier stimulation had been too intense, and her mind lingered, unwilling to let go.
When she finally regained her senses, a wave of unsatisfied resentment surged within her. She glared resentfully at the woman before her. “Hmph! Bad sister. How can you only give half the candy?”
Wen Wen raised an eyebrow, leaning in close to her ear. “Of course, I can give you the whole candy. But, darling, give me a reason to do so.”
Jiang Chi lowered her eyes, her gaze settling on Wen Wen’s chest. “Sister, what reason do you want?” She reached out to touch, but Wen Wen stepped back before she could.
With two fists’ distance between them, Wen Wen curled her lips slightly. “That’s a question for you to answer, not for me. Or do you admit and accept every reason I give?”
“Sister, can I hear them first?”
Wen Wen shook her head, picking up the towel beside her and placing it in Jiang Chi’s hand. Her beautiful lips uttered only four indifferent words: “Wash up. Get some rest.”
With that, she turned and sat on a low stool with her back to Jiang Chi.
Jiang Chi glanced at that slender, fair back, her throat unconsciously moving as she forced herself to look away and turn on the water.
The conditions on the mountain couldn’t compare to those at home. The so-called bathroom was just a small space partitioned off with fabric in a corner of the tent. The water for washing had to be drawn from an external tap into a bucket before it could be used.
