Turns Out Seducing the Movie Queen Can Break the Plot - Chapter 33.2
Wen Wen’s footsteps halted.
“I’m also curious, Jiang Chi, who loved me to the point of madness, will she suddenly change her orientation and fall for a woman? Or will she come back, begging me to reconcile?”
Wen Wen ignored him and walked away, only to hear Su Jing call out leisurely behind her,
“Let’s wait and see.”
Wen Wen didn’t return to the barbecue area and went straight back to the tent.
After Wen Wen and Su Jing left, Jiang Chi waited in her seat for about five minutes. When they still hadn’t returned, she decided to head back to the tent. Just as she stood up, she heard Ji Mei’s sneering voice behind her:
“Now someone should finally see the truth. Clinging to someone every day isn’t as effective as a single word from someone else.”
Jiang Chi had no patience to engage with her and walked away without a word.
Returning to the tent, Jiang Chi sat in the chair for barely two seconds before abruptly standing up, only to sit back down just as quickly.
She leaned her head against the backrest, staring blankly at the ceiling, but the moment she heard the slightest noise outside, she sprang up and dashed to the entrance, yanking open the tent flap, only to find a startled crew member frozen in place, clutching a camera.
The staff member stared at her in alarm. “J-Jiang, is there something you need?”
Jiang Chi’s shoulders slumped in disappointment, and without a word, she turned and retreated back inside.
Collapsing into the chair again, her gaze darted restlessly around the tent. Within seconds, she was back on her feet, pacing back and forth across the empty space.
She peeked outside toward the barbecue area still no sign of her.
How long had it been?
What on earth could they possibly have to talk about for this long.
Every second stretched like an eternity. Jiang Chi bit her fingernails as she paced a few more laps around the tent, nearly dizzying herself before finally rushing outside.
She settled under a large tree near the tent, where the light was bright enough to keep both the barbecue area and the tent entrance in view. In short, the moment Wen Wen returned, she’d spot her immediately.
She waited and waited, until her neck ached from craning but still, no one came.
With a sigh, she propped her chin on her knees, eyelids drooping as she stared at the ground, absentmindedly plucking at the weeds.
Just as the pile of uprooted grass beside her had grown into a small hill, the sound of footsteps crunching on leaves made her lift her head. At the sight of the approaching figure, she nearly leapt up to throw herself forward but something about Wen Wen’s expression made her freeze in place, too hesitant to move.
Truthfully, Wen Wen’s expression wasn’t all that different from usual just slightly subdued, her brows lowered. Yet that alone was enough to make the simmering hostility radiating from her unmistakable.
It was as if she were carrying something volatile, teetering on the edge of explosion.
Jiang Chi slowly rose to her feet, about to ask, What’s wrong? but before she could speak, Wen Wen moved first, lunging forward to shove her into the shadows. In one swift motion, she yanked down the fabric covering Jiang Chi’s shoulder and sank her teeth into the exposed skin.
Sharp teeth pierced tender flesh. Jiang Chi sucked in a sharp breath, voice trembling. “Ah!jiejie, don’t bite, it hurts.”
True enough, Wen Wen released her the next second but before Jiang Chi could even exhale in relief, teeth clamped down on another spot. At the same time, the hem of her clothes was shoved aside, and icy fingers climbed straight to the peak.
The dual assault of sensations sent shivers down Jiang Chi’s spine. Her head fell back against the tree as she gasped, a whimper escaping her lips. “Jiejie this feels so strange.”
All movement halted instantly.
Wen Wen snapped back to awareness, withdrawing her hand, her gaze clearing slightly. Under the dim glow of the overhead lights, she could now clearly see the four rows of teeth marks she’d left on Jiang Chi’s shoulder tiny beads of blood welling up against snow-white skin, the stark contrast like crimson blossoms blooming on untouched snow. A jarring sight.
A testament to how hard she’d bitten.
She wrapped her arms around Jiang Chi’s waist, resting her forehead against her shoulder. “I’m sorry, I was just so angry.”
Her voice trembled uncontrollably.
At this point, Jiang Chi had calmed down considerably. Seeing Wen Wen in such a state, the anger that had been stifling her chest suddenly dissipated, replaced instead by a hint of confusion. “Sister, what’s wrong with you?”
Could it be that she confessed to Su Jing and got rejected?
But she quickly dismissed that thought. If Su Jing had rejected her, why would she take it out on her?
However, another possibility soon occurred to her.
Sure enough, the next second, Wen Wen’s question confirmed her suspicion.
“He said, you two are officially dating. Is that true?”
So, Wen Wen was punishing her because of this.
The person her crush was dating knew the truth yet acted completely unbothered while clinging to her every day, of course she’d be furious.
That damn bastard Su Jing! He actually refused to admit they’d already broken up! Worse, he even told Wen Wen such things!
Wait, shouldn’t she actually be relieved that Su Jing hadn’t told Wen Wen about their breakup? Otherwise, Wen Wen probably wouldn’t be standing in front of her right now.
But what should she say now? Tell Wen Wen the truth?
Would Wen Wen then.
Jiang Chi felt like her brain was a tangled mess of yarn at this moment, impossible to unravel, utterly chaotic.
“Hmm? Is it true? Why aren’t you saying anything?”
“Sister, you once said I’m your ideal type, right?”
“Don’t change the subject. Answer my question.”
“Sister, answer my question first, and then I’ll tell you.”
“Yes, you are my ideal type.”
More than just an ideal type, Wen Wen thought. The one who has always lived in this burning heart is you alone.
“Sister, if you ever date someone, you have to get my approval first, okay?”
Wen Wen’s voice hardened. “Don’t go back on your word.”
“I promise.” Jiang Chi’s tone was sincere. “As long as you agree to this, I’ll tell you right away.”
Wen Wen: “Fine. I’ll definitely get your approval first.”
Not that she needed Jiang Chi’s permission to date she only wanted to date her. If the person herself didn’t agree, who else would she date?
Jiang Chi let out a quiet sigh of relief and confessed, “I did date him before, but we broke up some time ago.”
With that, she held her breath, waiting for Wen Wen’s reaction.
