Turns Out Seducing the Movie Queen Can Break the Plot - Chapter 31.1
[Is this a live broadcast? I don’t think I missed anything? Jiang Chi just keeps throwing herself at people left and right, huh? What, does she think she’s some kind of fluttering moth?]
[Why does it feel like Jiang Chi has a split personality or something.]
[To those saying she went to find Su Jing! Open your eyes wide and see clearly! Who was it that Wen Wen went to find!]
[I saw it clearly with both my eyes, it was Jiang Chi shamelessly throwing herself at her!]
The moment Jiang Chi threw herself into Wen Wen’s arms, Wen Wen could distinctly feel everyone’s eyes focusing on them. Some even whispered among themselves.
“What’s going on?”
“No idea.”
“Why does Jiang Chi seem like a lunatic?”
“Yeah, it’s kind of weird.”
A customer in line raised their voice and asked, “Hey, miss, are you still working or not? I still want a nice braid for photos.”
After scanning the crowd briefly, Wen Wen raised her hand and lightly patted the person clinging to her waist. “Work first. I’ll settle things with you tonight.”
Jiang Chi nuzzled her head against Wen Wen’s chest, refusing to let go, as if she had activated some kind of childish, clingy mode.
“Be good, okay?” Wen Wen pinched her earlobe. “These customers came because of you. You have to take responsibility for them.”
Jiang Chi still didn’t let go, her voice muffled. “Then, will you stay with me, sis?”
Wen Wen really wanted to ask why, if she couldn’t bear to be apart from her, she had still left her side in the first place. But obviously, now wasn’t the time. She simply replied, “Okay.”
Jiang Chi immediately released her, pulling her to the front of the line. She grabbed a small megaphone and announced, “Everyone, to avoid wasting your precious time waiting in line, this gorgeous lady beside me has agreed to join the photographer team!”
“Anyone who wants photos taken by our beautiful sis here, please line up over here!”
Many customers exchanged confused glances, unsure what to make of it.
Just then, two girls stepped out of the line and dashed over to where Jiang Chi had pointed.
“That’s Wen Wen! Even if she makes me look like I’m 1.5 meters tall, I’d still take it!”
“Same! Even if the photo turns out pixelated, I’d still want it!”
“How did I not notice her earlier? She’s literally a hundred times more beautiful in person than on screen!”
Su Jing, who had just finished a photoshoot, walked over to Jiang Chi with a puzzled expression. “What are you up to?”
Jiang Chi glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. She initially didn’t want to respond, but after a second of hesitation, she leaned in and warned, “Don’t ask too many questions. Just focus on making money. But you’re not getting it for free later, you’ll have to split it with me.”
Before she could finish the word “half,” Jiang Chi was abruptly yanked backward, putting a good distance between her and Su Jing.
Stunned, Jiang Chi turned to look at Wen Wen, whose hand was gripping hers. Those beautiful peach-blossom eyes were fixed on her with an intensity as deep as the ocean, sending a chill down her spine.
Jiang Chi cleared her throat, subtly sliding her hand down to lightly scratch Wen Wen’s palm. She quickly told Su Jing, “Just cooperate, that’s all.”
Right then, someone loudly asked, “If this young lady takes the photos, does that still include styling services?”
Jiang Chi immediately responded, “Of course! You can come over now, but once both lines have the same number of people, no more crossing over, okay? Teamwork makes the dream work—maximum efficiency.”
Time slipped by to the sound of camera shutters clicking. After styling the last young woman’s hair, Jiang Chi was about to escort her to Wen Wen’s side when her body suddenly froze, immobilized. Forced to politely ask the visitor to proceed alone, she then turned stiffly toward Su Jing’s station.
The sun dipped westward, its fading light swathed in streaks of evening clouds.
Su Jing was still photographing his final customer, a girl standing against the sunset, arms outstretched in a bold, commanding pose. With a click, the moment was captured.
Jiang Chi stood beside Su Jing, watching him preserve that scene.
After wrapping up with the last guest, Su Jing tilted his head toward Jiang Chi. Before he could speak, a dry tissue dabbed at his temple.
An indescribable feeling stirred in Su Jing’s chest as he silently let her tend to him.
You broke up with me, yet here you are, fussing over me.
Gently wiping the sweat from his brow, Jiang Chi curved her lips into a considerate smile. “Brother Su, you’ve worked hard.”
Su Jing’s pulse quickened. Almost involuntarily, he leaned closer.
Alarm bells rang in Jiang Chi’s mind as his face neared hers. She wanted to push him away, but her body remained rigid, unresponsive even her eyelids began lowering against her will.
Sister! she screamed inwardly, helpless.
As if heaven heard her plea, the invisible grip released the next instant. She shoved the man away with force.
Staggering back, nearly toppling, Su Jing stared at her in stunned disbelief.
Jiang Chi exhaled sharply and turned to find Wen Wen standing precisely 1.5 meters away, dark eyes fixed on her.
Her throat tightened. Hesitating briefly, she took a step toward Wen Wen only for a hand to seize hers.
Looking back, she saw Su Jing’s tender, lovesick smile. “Jiang Jiang,” he suggested, “how about I take some photos of you? The sunset’s perfect now, it’d complement you beautifully.”
Nausea churned in Jiang Chi’s stomach. She opened her mouth to refuse, then paused. A mischievous glint flashed in her obsidian eyes as she grinned. “Sure.”
Wen Wen, still rooted 1.5 meters away, heard every word. Her pinky twitched. Su Jing glanced over, triumph gleaming in his gaze until it froze there. Because the moment Jiang Chi agreed, she immediately spun around and dashed to Wen Wen.
Eyes sparkling, Jiang Chi gazed up at her. “Sister, want to take photos together? He can snap them for us.” Dropping her voice conspiratorially, she added, “He’s not as good as you, but I checked his shots are passable.”
Wen Wen arched a brow at Su Jing before meeting Jiang Chi’s hopeful stare. “You want a picture with me?”
“Mm-hmm!” Jiang Chi nodded eagerly. “Please? We’ve known each other so long but don’t have a single photo together~”
“Before that,” Wen Wen mused, lifting her eyelids languidly toward Su Jing, “shouldn’t we first ask if Mr. Su is willing to photograph us?”
“Teacher Su?” Jiang Chi followed her gaze, feigning innocence. “One person or two, it’s all the same shutter clicks. You wouldn’t be stingy about this, would you?”
Su Jing’s expression froze for a fleeting moment before he smiled and said, “Of course, it would be my honor to take photos for two beautiful ladies.”
“Sis, come on, he already agreed. You have to say yes too,” Jiang Chi clung to her arm, adopting a stance that she wouldn’t let go unless she got her way.
“I’d be delighted to take photos with a beauty too!”
Jiang Chi’s face instantly brightened, and she was about to drag Wen Wen toward a scenic spot when the latter interrupted her.
“However,” Wen Wen paused slightly, narrowing her eyes, “you have to agree to one condition.”
Seeing that look in her eyes, Jiang Chi inexplicably felt a chill down her spine, her heartbeat quickening but more than anything, she felt anticipation. “What condition?”
Wen Wen smiled faintly at Su Jing before leaning close to Jiang Chi’s ear, whispering something unknown.
Watching their intimate exchange, an inexplicable surge of irritation rose in Su Jing’s chest. The veins on the back of his hand gripping the camera bulged. He narrowed his eyes as Jiang Chi’s earlobes visibly turned a faint pink. Whatever condition Wen Wen had proposed seemed to make her both shy and wildly excited, as she nodded eagerly in agreement.
