- Chapter 15 - A Scheming Female
Why Do You Not Try Pleasing Me?
On the day the Sixth Fleet landed, Sirius appeared at the starship docking bay.
The Zerg possess eleven fleets across three star systems. The Central System, being the military and political heart, is guarded by three fleets, while the other two systems have two each.
There is also a roving fleet for emergencies that lives in deep space year round. Every year, three fleets rotate for patrol duty, a process that lasts about a month. Assignments swap every ten years; this time, the Sixth Fleet would be stationed at the Central Star for a ten year term.
Sirius did not suppress his mental power. That subtle ripple allowed the military females to easily identify his status.
The hatch had opened, but the military females who were supposed to disembark dared not move. They crowded at the exit, staring blankly at Sirius. None dared to step forward and inquire, fearing he was a high ranking male sent by the Council to supervise them. For a moment, the scene was awkward.
Sirius gave them a faint smile.
The crowd instantly erupted into a buzz. Without a doubt, the Sirius before them was an S rank male. To a group of S, SS, and even SSS rank females, he was the most ideal partner for mating.
“What is all this noise?”
“Did we travel all the way to the Central Star just so you could go into heat at the sight of a male?”
A cold voice and a stern tone cut through the air. A tall, robust military female exuded a powerful aura as he spoke, walking through the crowd that instinctively parted to form a path. He stepped off the starship, bent his right arm over his left chest, and gave Sirius a composed salute.
“Greetings, my Lord. I am the Captain of the Sixth Fleet. May I ask who you are?”
The Captain.
Sirius’s brow twitched slightly as he studied the man more closely.
Unlike Lex, who was recognized by the Mainframe, the War Mainframe had not chosen this man during the selection for the Sixth Fleet’s next captain. However, something strange had happened to the chosen candidate. The day before the competition, he was found lying in the bed of an S rank male for no apparent reason.
He was late for the match. Consequently, this Captain won by default. It remained the War Mainframe’s only recorded error.
Undoubtedly, he was the prime suspect.
However, the Zerg cared nothing for sentiment, only results. Since he won, he was the Captain. Judging by the behavior of the Sixth Fleet’s soldiers, his prestige was not low.
“I am here to find you, Captain Victor.”
Victor did not speak. He merely stared at Sirius with his somewhat eerie, heterochromatic eyes. Sirius felt as though he were being watched by a venomous snake in a dark corner. Yet, Sirius showed no change in expression, simply repeating his words.
“I want to speak with you in private, Captain Victor.”
He emphasized his tone. The female before him narrowed his eyes, seemingly feeling his authority was being challenged. If it were anyone else, he could simply ignore them, but Sirius was a male, a high ranking one at that. He could not afford to offend him.
Who knew what those males were up to? They had been eyeing military power for a long time.
Thus, Victor smiled. “Very well, my Lord.”
To allow the soldiers to pack in peace, Victor led Sirius to a small nearby grove.
The Zerg liked warm, humid places with vegetation. Therefore, any place inhabited by bugs was bound to have trees and flowers; the military camp was no exception.
The two bugs walked one after the other into the quiet depths of the woods. Sirius stopped before a massive tree so large that a dozen bugs holding hands could not encircle it. “This spot will do.”
“My Lord, are you saying?”
Victor clearly had no idea what this strange male wanted to do, but Sirius had no intention of explaining. What he was about to do was a notification, not a request.
“Stand to the side. We will talk in a moment.”
Sirius took an automatic saw out of his brooch. Under the confused gaze of the female, he automatically carved out a simple tree hollow. Prepared as always, he pulled out a bed and placed it inside the hollow.
He sat on the bed, looking at the guarded Victor outside. “What, do you not dare to come in? Or is it because you know the War Mainframe did not select you, and you are the weakest of all captains, so you are afraid to be alone with me?”
The tree was massive, and the hollow Sirius had made was large. The sparse sunlight from outside could not penetrate it, making the interior dark and gloomy. Sitting within, Sirius took on an eerie aura.
Victor sneered and stepped into the hollow. “I am indeed the weakest one, but who can help it if my luck is good?”
“Actually, that is not quite right. It should be said that he was the lucky one to be favored by an S rank male. In that sense, I should be the unlucky one. But looking at you, my Lord, it seems my luck is about to change.”
He gave the bed Sirius had produced an ambiguous look and sat down on his own. His hand circled the back of Sirius’s hand as he breathed suggestively into Sirius’s ear. “May I ask your name, my Lord?”
He was flirting with him.
Sirius’s expression darkened. He grabbed Victor’s wrist, yanked him backward, and flipped him over, pinning him facedown onto the bed.
It was remarkably easy.
Victor let out a surprised wow.
“You are impressive, my Lord! So, what do you plan to do to me now?”
He was completely unafraid.
What gave him such confidence?
Perhaps he felt that, as a military female, he could easily flip Sirius off him and thus his life was not in danger. Or perhaps he felt that even if Sirius did something to him, like forcing a mating, it would actually be a benefit.
Reproduction, reproduction, reproduction!
This was the most important matter for the Zerg. No female could resist the temptation. Perhaps it was instilled in them by that high and mighty Creator?
Ha, what a merciful Insect Mother, to leave her creations to rot in a closed valley.
Sirius leaned down, pressing against Victor’s back, and gripped the back of his neck. “What do you want me to do to you? Do you want me to mate with you?”
His tail hook wrapped around Victor’s waist, slowly sliding downward.
“Let me think. I recall hearing that you are to marry a B rank male. What, can you be satisfied with only a B rank male?”
The flexible tail hook was ruthless, tightening in front of Victor’s lower body. Victor gripped the bedsheets, gritting his teeth as he tilted his head back defiantly. “What, because I am getting married, you do not dare to continue, my Lord? You are actually afraid of a low level male.”
He was deliberately provoking Sirius, wanting him to proceed.
He succeeded, but not because of the provocation. It was because of his slight against Cyril.
“Do you think I do not dare to kill you?” Sirius was angry, yet he could feel an unprecedented calmness.
He suppressed his temper, raised the female’s hands above his head, and reached toward the side of the bed. He actually pulled out two sturdy iron chains. Victor instinctively struggled, but when Sirius’s expression turned cold, he froze in place. The male easily snapped the shackles onto his wrists.
In such unexpected moments, mental power was very useful. This was the leverage males used to resist much stronger military females. If the Mainframe did not intervene, they could ensure mutual destruction.
Coming back to his senses, Victor’s face was deathly pale. He was pinned beneath Sirius and tried to struggle silently.
“It is useless. These were specially made for females. You know, we are always very good at certain things.”
For instance, bedroom toys.
“Ha,” Victor chuckled.
“Very well, my Lord. Now that I am trapped by you, what are you going to do to me?”
Even now, he was not nervous. He even turned his head and raised an eyebrow at Sirius.
Sirius chuckled, gently stroking the hair of the female beneath him. “What, do you think that because other high ranking males look down on you, I will favor you and give you an egg?”
Victor’s expression changed.
“The previous competition was within the last ten year term, was it not? You calculated against your own kind so ruthlessly. They say you are the most scheming female. Not only are high ranking males unwilling to marry you, but even the soldiers under your command do not truly respect you.”
“I saw it. Those soldiers fear you but do not admire you. Let me guess, is it because your former rival is still in the Sixth Fleet and holds a significant position, supported by an S rank male, making things difficult for you?”
“That is why you need to build a relationship with an S rank male. And you were very lucky to find a kind bug who is equally ambitious, also moving to the Central Star, and even willing to give you a young male. So, you gladly accepted.”
Sirius leaned in closer, whispering into Victor’s ear. The devilish whisper shattered his composure instantly. Hatred flooded his eyes. It was clear that if Sirius had not bound him, he would have struck back without hesitation.
Unfortunately, Sirius gave him no opportunity.
“Have you said enough? So what if that is the case? Are you going to report me?”
“Do not make me laugh. It was a mutual agreement, and I…”
Mutual agreement.
“Go on, why have you stopped talking?” Sirius’s voice was cold and sharp. His arm constricted around Victor’s throat from the front. With his vital point suppressed, the female instinctively fell silent, his hostility fading.
“What is it you want, my Lord? We should never have met before.”
Sirius did not answer the second question. He simply continued to rub his hand against the man’s neck as if he could tighten his grip at any moment. Victor remained in a state of constant tension.
“I built this treehouse and specifically put a bed here. Should you not have guessed what I want to do?”
“Victor, you are well aware that being with a male whose rank is too low carries a high risk of losing control and causing him to break. Yet you still agreed to an alliance with a B rank male. Is it not just because you want a cub?”
Sirius bit Victor’s earlobe from behind. As he whispered, Victor’s defenses crumbled. Sirius successfully removed the man’s lower garments.
“High ranking males either reject you or want to control you. A rank males are not only hard to match with, but they will not accommodate you. You would find it difficult to conceive, and they can attack you with mental power during those times, just as I am doing. Low ranking males will not take the risk of being with you. So, when faced with a B rank male that was so hard to obtain, you could only agree without hesitation.”
“But now, since I am here, why do you not try pleasing me?”
As he spoke, Victor completely gave up his resistance. Propped up by his arms and lying beneath Sirius, he turned his face and tilted his head back forcefully, responding to Sirius’s intense kiss.
Heaven knew how much Victor actually craved a male.
He was already over a hundred years old. The Zerg lifespan is about two hundred years. From reaching adulthood in his teens, leaving school in his twenties, up until one hundred and eighty is the peak period. He could even be considered young and promising.
But who knew? He was still a virgin who had never experienced anything.
