Her eyelids grew heavier, and even thinking became a struggle.
Jenny, what exactly are you after?
Yu Ke’s lips moved, but no sound came out. She collapsed into Jenny’s arms, her face resting in Jenny’s palm, as fragmented images flooded her mind.
Before her consciousness faded, her eyes reflected Jenny’s cold, resolute face.
Time rewound, and the woman before her grew younger, her features softening. Her dark eyes held a glimmer of light, gazing at Yu Ke with the pleading look of a small animal.
She appeared to be around ten years old, only reaching Yu Ke’s waist in height, with a bob haircut and an expressionless face, though her eyes always shimmered with light.
This was when Jenny had just arrived in the Ferrari Kingdom, purchased at a high price by the original Yu Ke from an auction, still shackled at the feet.
She stood outside the palace, sweating under the sun.
The original Yu Ke emerged from a room, saw her, and said in surprise, “I told you to wait for me here. At least stand under the eaves to block the sun. How can you be so foolish?”
Jenny gasped nervously, lowering her head. Her lips moved, forming a silent “I’m sorry.”
“Can you not understand me?” Yu Ke frowned. “Do I need to find someone to teach you the common language?”
“I’m… sorry,” Jenny stammered, “I’m sorry…”
“I don’t want to hear your apologies,” Yu Ke said, stepping forward. She hooked a finger under Jenny’s chin, forcing her to look up, and chuckled softly. “I have no other expectations of you. I want you to be smart and sensible. As for apologies, I don’t want to hear them ever again, Jenny. I hope you never make a mistake.”
The light in the girl’s eyes gradually dimmed. She remembered the princess’s words and, from that moment on, poured all her effort into doing everything perfectly.
“You’re about to undergo differentiation, aren’t you, Jenny?” the original Yu Ke stood on the balcony, addressing the beautiful maid kneeling nearby, arranging a chessboard.
By this time, Jenny had begun to exude a feminine charm. As she knelt, the curves of her thighs and hips were particularly alluring. If she continued to develop this way, she would undoubtedly become a captivating female Omega.
The original Yu Ke studied her, set down her wine glass, and said coldly, “Your period hasn’t come this month, has it?”
Jenny paused her task, bowed to her, and replied succinctly, “Yes, it’s been delayed by three days.”
“That’s a precursor to differentiation,” the original Yu Ke said. “Jenny, I don’t want you to differentiate into an Omega.”
Jenny was momentarily taken aback but quickly composed herself and said, “Understood.”
“You are a witch from the Green Water Planet. As far as I know, Omega witches are far less powerful than Alpha witches. If you differentiate into an Omega, it would be an immeasurable loss for me.” The original Yu Ke narrowed her eyes. “Of course, I don’t deny the charm you possess.”
Jenny kept her head lowered, listening to every word Yu Ke said without reacting.
“Take off your clothes and let me see,” the original Yu Ke said, gazing at her with interest. “Come here, let me have a proper look.”
Jenny calmly rose and followed the original Yu Ke’s instructions. First, she removed the apron over her maid uniform and dropped it to the ground. Then, she lifted one arm, unbuttoned her blouse, and let the dress slide down her body, pooling on the floor.
The court attire consisted of five layers from the inside out. Jenny moved without hesitation, but it still took some effort. When only her undergarments remained, she glanced at the original owner’s expression and, seeing no sign of stopping, removed everything.
The original owner gradually grew more interested. She looked Jenny up and down, then beckoned for her to approach, allowing her to touch.
“Your body is perfect,” the original owner chuckled lightly, “but if you remain just an omega, you’ll only be a plaything for others. If I’m in a good mood, I might make you my exclusive. But if I ever marry, I’d have to pass you along to someone else.”
Jenny remained silent, her head lowered. The original owner’s grip was painful, but she showed no sign of discomfort.
“Get dressed and call Robin over. I have no interest in the undifferentiated.”
“Jenny.”
“…”
The original owner’s memories surged like a rising tide, wave after wave, making Yu Ke feel terrible. Her head felt as if it were being torn apart, and her stomach churned violently.
That wasn’t me.
Frustrated, she wished she could tear apart and discard those memories like rags.
She jolted awake, instantly aware of where she was and the situation she faced.
She had been taken to the weapons factory. While the Jingba pirates were out pursuing the frigate, she had attacked the control room and nearly killed Isabelle. At the critical moment, Jenny had ambushed her from behind with a tranquilizer gun!
“Jenny?” Yu Ke sat up, frowning as she looked toward the only spot where light shone in the room.
“You’re awake?” Jenny spoke as sparingly as ever. She sat on a red sofa, dressed simply, her red lips barely moving. “Your Highness.”
Yu Ke stared at Jenny, the original owner’s words echoing in her mind: “If I’m in a good mood, I might make you my exclusive. But if I ever marry, I’d have to pass you along to someone else.”
How despicable.
When those words were spoken, Jenny was still undifferentiated and not yet an adult. In the original owner’s eyes, she was merely a commodity to be priced and sold.
No wonder Jenny had sided with Queen Jiao. Perhaps she had always despised the original owner. If not for the pressure of interests, she might never have worked for her at all.
Yu Ke thought with despair, falling into Jenny’s hands was nothing less than the original owner’s just deserts.
“What’s the situation now?” Yu Ke glanced down at her hands, which were bound to the armrests of the chair, and asked, “Am I still in the weapons factory?”
“You’ve been asleep for a while,” Jenny watched her intently. “The Queen ordered me to find you and retrieve the payment made to the Jingba pirates.”
Yu Ke couldn’t help but laugh. “She might as well sell me off and see how much I’m worth.”
Jenny said nothing.
Yu Ke sneered, “I just remembered, she’s supposed to be my mother, isn’t she?”
Jenny replied, “You are correct.”
“You’ve succeeded, Jenny,” Yu Ke looked at her, chin slightly raised. “You found me. The next step is to hand me over to those pirates. I’m sure the Queen will be very pleased with you.”
Jenny stared at her expressionlessly and said, “Your Highness.”
“Jenny,” Yu Ke’s lips moved slightly, “I’d like some water. Could you please get me a little?”
Jenny rose from the sofa. As Yu Ke heard the sounds of water being poured and heated, she interrupted, “Cold water is fine. I’m quite thirsty.”
Half a minute later, Jenny brought the water cup to her lips, tilting it sideways to let her drink smoothly.
Yu Ke drank eagerly, gulping down the water with a gurgling sound. The water wet her chin, so Jenny set down the cup, took out a clean handkerchief, and wiped around her lips.
“I remember I said before that you’re no longer my maid,” Yu Ke said. “You’re a free person now. You don’t need to call me ‘Your Highness,’ nor do you need to serve me so attentively.”
Jenny looked at her, thought for a moment, and when she spoke, she still addressed her as “Your Highness.”
“Habits are hard to change,” Jenny said. “Handing you over to the Jingba Pirates would bring me no benefit.”
Yu Ke gazed at her and smiled faintly. “Good. You’re starting to think for yourself. That’s a good thing.”
Jenny’s eyes flickered slightly. Yu Ke continued, “What benefits can the Queen offer you? Let me see, if you let me go, what I can offer you in return…”
Jenny hesitated, and Yu Ke raised an eyebrow, whispering, “That 40 billion, most of it is still intact, Jenny. If you’re willing to help me…”
“I’m not interested in money,” Jenny interrupted her.
“I’m not sure what you need, but whatever I can do, I’ll help you. You’re a free person now, aren’t you?”
Jenny didn’t respond.
Yu Ke sighed softly. “Jenny, I’m begging you. I need to get to Lan Xing’s side. I still have very important things to do…”
“Your Highness,” Jenny lowered her eyelids, “have you forgotten something? The time Princess Lan Xing was kidnapped by pirates, it was my plan that took her away.”
Was she reminding Yu Ke not to forget the enmity between her and Lan Xing?
Yu Ke’s expression turned serious, unable to decipher the meaning behind Jenny’s words for a moment.
“Jenny, Lan Xing has never harmed anyone. If you do anything to hurt her, I won’t let you off,” Yu Ke said coldly.
“But you were just begging me,” Jenny stared at her icily. “Your Highness, for this princess, you’ve given up too much. Is it really worth it?”
Yu Ke curved her lips into a smile. “Absolutely worth it.”
“You weren’t like this before,” Jenny paused. “I once read your mind and vaguely… understood your thoughts. But things have gone further and further off track. I feel… I’ve made a grave mistake.”
Yu Ke lazily lifted her eyes to look at her. “Tell me your thoughts, Jenny.”
Jenny pressed her thin lips into a tight line.
Yu Ke said, “You can read minds and see directly into my thoughts, but I know nothing about you. I don’t know what you’re thinking, why you helped me deal with Isabelle, or why you betrayed me at the last moment. I don’t expect you to help me, but I want to advise you, Queen Jiao is not a good person. There’s no need for you to serve her. You can find someone who treats you kindly. With your abilities and talents, you can surely live well.”
Jenny looked at her and sighed imperceptibly.
After a long while, she said something Yu Ke couldn’t comprehend.
“Everything I’ve done has been for you, Your Highness.”
“???”
Yu Ke frowned, looking at the dead-serious Jenny, momentarily speechless.
She understood every word Jenny said, and she understood them put together, but coming from Jenny’s mouth, she truly couldn’t make sense of it.
The two stared at each other in silence. Yu Ke leaned back slightly, her gaze fixed on the ceiling, and said, “Say that again.”
Jenny paused before responding, “Your Highness, everything I have done has been for you.”
Yu Ke truly wished she could crack open Jenny’s head and see what kind of wiring was inside, what kind of thought process would lead someone to say such a thing?
Jenny watched her intently. Under the light, her face was strikingly beautiful, devoid of heavy makeup, with only a touch of crimson on her lips that was enough to stir one’s heart.
“You once said you didn’t want me to differentiate into an Omega, because an Alpha witch holds more value,” Jenny said calmly. “Unfortunately, I made a grave mistake. I intended to use your pheromones to seduce Lan Xing, but unexpectedly… I was influenced by your pheromones and ended up differentiating into an Omega.”
A rich, intoxicating scent suddenly flooded Yu Ke’s senses, making her breath catch.
It was the scent of an Omega’s pheromones, emanating from Jenny.
Jenny raised one arm and undid her top, just as she had in that memory, without any unnecessary movements, presenting herself before Yu Ke.
