- Transmigrated Into a Scummy Alpha Who Stole the Male Lead's Mermaid Fiancée
- Chapter 41 - Bathrobe
Yu Ke would never do such a thing. She was an Alpha, but she wasn’t an animal.
Holding Lan Xing until the initial intensity subsided, she finally released her slowly, her voice low. “I’ll wait until your heat arrives.”
Lan Xing still felt a little reluctant, but Yu Ke stood by her principles, and Lan Xing wouldn’t beg her for a mark again.
Back in the desert, Yu Ke had rather shot herself than mark Lan Xing during her heat. Given Yu Ke’s character, how could she force a mark on Lan Xing when she wasn’t in heat?
Lan Xing submerged herself in the water. She heard Yu Ke get out of the pool, return to the room to shower, and then the hotel staff rang the doorbell, it was the swimsuit Yu Ke had ordered earlier.
After taking her suppressants and changing into a bathrobe, Yu Ke returned to the poolside.
Lan Xing popped her head out of the water like a little animal, calling out sweetly, “Sis!”
As if nothing had happened just moments before.
Yu Ke glanced at her and smiled. “Come here, let’s get you changed into your swimsuit.”
Lan Xing emerged from the water, sniffed Yu Ke, and said with a regretful expression, “Sis, you used suppressants?”
“Of course,” Yu Ke ruffled her fluffy hair. “Stop sniffing, you’re like a little kitten.”
Lan Xing circled around Yu Ke, at most planting a kiss on her cheek. Worried about getting Yu Ke wet, she kept her hands behind her back and said obediently, “Sis, I’m serious, you can mark me next time! I can’t keep waiting forever. What if I never go into heat again?!”
“Problems that can be solved with suppressants are just minor issues,” Yu Ke said with a laugh. “Come on, raise your hands and take off your clothes.”
Lan Xing obediently raised her hands but, realizing what Yu Ke was about to do, immediately turned around to face away from her.
“Afraid of me seeing you?” Yu Ke teased.
Lan Xing lowered her head, her raised hands drooping slightly. She felt like a student who had done something wrong and let out a few muffled whimpers.
“Turn around,” Yu Ke said, one hand resting on her waist as she looked at the back of Lan Xing’s head.
Her tone was unmistakably commanding. Instead of feeling annoyed, Lan Xing felt a surge of shameful delight, she really liked this side of Yu Ke.
Her tail swished underwater as she turned around, head drooping, and muttered, “My arms are getting sore!”
“Almost done, be good,” Yu Ke leaned closer, her hand on Lan Xing’s waist applying slight pressure to tilt her forward, just enough to kiss her forehead.
Lan Xing’s heart exploded like fireworks. The next moment, Yu Ke pulled her shirt up and over her head, tossing it to the ground.
Now, she had nothing covering her.
Yu Ke looked down at her, fingers lightly brushing against her skin. Lan Xing’s body shrank like a mimosa plant, submerging further into the water.
Yu Ke lifted her chin with a finger and chuckled. “This is all it takes? And you want me to force a mark on you?”
Lan Xing’s ears turned bright red. She lowered her head like an angry little animal refusing its owner’s touch.
She buried her face in the water, blowing bubbles with a “glug-glug” sound, while her tail wagged excitedly nonstop.
Yu Ke found her reaction adorable and didn’t push further. When she had touched Lan Xing earlier, the subtle changes under her fingertips suggested Lan Xing had felt it too.
Or perhaps it was safe to assume that Lan Xing really liked her touch.
“Get up, let me help you change,” Yu Ke ruffled her hair gently. “Be good.”
Her hair had grown quite a bit longer. Lan Xing emerged partially from the water, still covering herself with her hands, lips pressed together in clear embarrassment.
“Let go, let me see,” Yu Ke said.
Another command-like sentence, and Lan Xing complied as usual.
Yu Ke helped her put on a pretty bra, examining her as if admiring a piece of artwork, muttering, “Actually, you should probably wear a skirt too…”
“No, no,” Lan Xing quickly protested. “Skirts are so inconvenient in the water!”
Mermaids had scales covering them anyway, so nothing was visible. Wearing a bra was already the biggest concession, most people on Panda Planet swam around naked!
Yu Ke’s gaze drifted downward, and she frowned. “But it’s quite obvious, you know…”
Lan Xing hugged herself nervously, her tail thrashing wildly. “Is it really that obvious?!”
“It really is,” Yu Ke insisted, her eyes fixed on Lan Xing’s tail. “Without a skirt, it’s too easy to see!”
Lan Xing grew flustered and whispered, “But… all the other mermaids are like this!” Her tone carried a mix of dissatisfaction, reluctance, and stubbornness.
Yu Ke had no choice but to say, “Let me touch it. Is it there?”
With hundreds of scales on a mermaid’s body, how could anyone pinpoint the key spot at a glance?
Half-convinced and half-doubting, Lan Xing was coaxed closer by Yu Ke, floating her tail out for inspection.
Yu Ke studied one area for a long time before reaching out to touch it. The moment her fingers brushed against the scales, Lan Xing flinched away with a “swoosh,” her face flushed bright red with embarrassment!
“See, I was right,” Yu Ke said with concern. “It really is too easy to see!”
“That’s only because you already knew where to look,” Lan Xing retorted stubbornly. “Not everyone is like you, able to spot it so easily!”
Yu Ke curved her lips into a smile. “So, am I amazing? I always find it.”
“Yes,” Lan Xing mumbled, nodding reluctantly, still stubbornly adding, “But wearing a skirt is such a hassle…”
“You don’t have to wear one in front of me, but when you go out, you should cover up properly,” Yu Ke coaxed her like a child. Seeing her still unwilling, she pleaded, “Okay, my dear Lan Xing? I can’t stand others staring at your tail all the time. Just listen to me this once. Once you’re in the sea, you don’t have to wear a skirt if you don’t want to, no one will be staring at you there. But on land, you have to listen to me, alright?”
Lan Xing agreed. Yu Ke reached out to hug her, pulling her close, untying her bathrobe and wrapping them both inside it, sharing the same garment.
After nearly two hours of back-and-forth, the phone rang. Hotel staff informed Yu Ke and Lan Xing that the prime minister’s son, Zhang Jun, was on his way to Gana, specifically to receive them.
First of all, why would the prime minister’s son go out of his way to receive them? That alone was baffling.
Secondly, why was the person coming to receive them arriving later than they did? It seemed almost ridiculous that Yu Ke and Lan Xing had to wait for Zhang Jun to show up.
Yu Ke changed into a cool gray shirt and wide-leg trousers. The smooth, silky texture paired with minimalist design suited her aloof, detached demeanor perfectly.
The phone in the room rang again, and the hotel staff kindly reminded, “Mr. Zhang Jun has arrived at the airport. It’s about 60 kilometers to the Gana Hotel, and he should be here in approximately ten minutes.”
Yu Ke wasn’t surprised at all.
The road traffic layout in Gana was meticulously organized, with aerial walkways and low-altitude flight paths operating without interference. Air vehicles and ground transport each had their dedicated routes, eliminating the possibility of traffic jams. Thus, a 60-kilometer journey within the city, paired with top-tier vehicles, could be completed in just ten minutes.
With nothing better to do, Yu Ke pulled up the navigation app and checked the travel times for taking a taxi and riding an electric scooter. The results left her astonished.
“The urban planners here are absolute geniuses. In comparison, Ferrari feels like a backwater!” Yu Ke exclaimed in admiration. “Tomorrow, I’m going to get myself a vehicle and take a spin along the coast.”
“Ferrari doesn’t prioritize urban planning as much as this place does,” Lan Xing chimed in, leaning on her shoulder while munching on some fruit. “Originally, Datianxi was the most prosperous region in the Twin Star System. The country we’re in hasn’t been involved in interstellar conflicts or political infighting for 120 years, making it the most stable environment domestically. With vast territory, abundant resources, and a wealth of natural assets, many investors are eager to invest here. The local government is very welcoming to foreign investors and doesn’t impose overly high barriers. Over time, the local administration has grown increasingly wealthy and has invested heavily in urban planning, which is why we see the city as it is today…”
She became so engrossed in her explanation that Yu Ke couldn’t resist leaning in to kiss the corner of her lips, interrupting her and praising, “My dear Lan Xing, you’re so amazing! You know so much more than I do!”
Lan Xing snapped back to reality, looking a bit embarrassed. “I think I might have been showing off a little…”
“Not at all!” Yu Ke kissed her again. “Teach me more about these things. I still have so much to learn from you.”
She spoke with such sincerity that Lan Xing took it seriously. Just as the two were deep in conversation, the doorbell rang, it was likely Zhang Jun arriving.
