Transmigrated Into a Scummy Alpha Who Stole the Male Lead's Mermaid Fiancée - Chapter 40
The brief journey to Colonial Planet 356 had come to an end. The Princess once again set sail, returning to Interstellar Route 210 and continuing its course toward Datianxi.
However, the matter concerning Isabelle was far from over. Instead, it felt as if they had discovered a massive iceberg, with countless secrets still buried beneath, waiting to be uncovered.
The children who had boarded the ship gradually grew familiar with the crew. Their favorite, by far, was Li Jian’an. Whenever they spotted him, they would eagerly approach, calling him “Uncle Li” and often helping him by serving tea or water. When he was resting in bed, some would even peel fruit for him.
Lan Zhen made no effort to hide her disdain for children. Whenever she encountered them in the lounge, she would immediately shoo them away. If she came across their toys, she would crush them underfoot without hesitation, even six-year-old Kemi was no exception.
Before long, the children began to treat Lan Zhen like a bully, scurrying away at the sight of her as quickly as rabbits. Even Xiao Nan, who was often seen with Lan Zhen, was someone they dared not approach.
After being injected with the serum by Isabelle, Lan Xing remained unable to revert to her human form. Unable to walk upright, she confined herself to her room, refusing to see anyone except Yu Ke.
Yu Ke was the busiest person on the ship. Not only did she have to care for Lan Xing, but she also had to pilot the spacecraft, monitor the conditions along their route in real time, and ensure the proper functioning of all internal systems.
Because of these circumstances, the approachable Li Jian’an became the de facto leader of the children aboard the ship. This beta male had finally discovered a shining aspect of himself, somewhat making up for the setbacks he had faced on Colonial Planet 356.
On the third day of their journey, the Princess entered the orbit of Datianxi and began negotiating with ground control for landing permission.
The environment of this planet closely resembled that of Earth, though its diameter was twice as large. Datianxi had no unified governing body; instead, seven major nations each occupied a continent, ruling independently.
From the very beginning, Lan Zhen had opposed taking Interstellar Route 210. Yet now, she took the initiative to negotiate with the nations on the ground. Thanks to her efforts, three of the seven countries on Datianxi agreed to welcome them amicably.
In the end, they chose Hongxi, a tropical nation, and entered through its southern coastal city, Gana.
During customs clearance, the Hongxi government requested that Yu Ke and her companions present their identification documents for verification.
Upon disembarking, Yu Ke arranged for a wheelchair to be brought over. She carried Lan Xing and settled her into the wheelchair, then pushed her down the ramp.
Lan Xing, who suffered from social anxiety, felt extremely uncomfortable being wheeled around in public. She couldn’t shake the feeling that all eyes were on her.
To cope, she covered herself completely. She bundled her tail with a large hair tie, draped an oversized scarf over her head, and wrapped it around her face so tightly that not even her eyes were visible.
When the inspector addressed her, she only responded with nods or shakes of her head. When necessary, she relied on Yu Ke to speak on her behalf.
“Identity confirmed: Princess Lan Xing of Panda Planet. Cleared for entry!” the inspector announced with a beaming smile.
Hearing this, Lan Xing finally relaxed and continued covering herself with the scarf, looking at first glance like a hunched, half-paralyzed old woman in her eighties or nineties.
After the adults passed through, the local staff requested a quarantine inspection for the group of children from the colonial planet.
“They’ve never been to any dangerous cities, and their living environment has been extremely isolated. It’s impossible for them to carry dangerous pathogens,” Li Jian’an explained to the inspector.
“I’m sorry, sir, but they have no identification documents,” the inspector insisted. “According to our country’s quarantine regulations, they are classified as unidentified high-risk individuals. They must undergo strict quarantine inspections and be isolated for seven days at the point of entry before they can be released. During these seven days, we will prepare temporary identification documents for them. Please cooperate with our work.”
Li Jian’an frowned. “They’re just a group of children who can’t even take care of themselves. How do you plan to isolate them, and how will you ensure their safety?”
The inspector had no choice but to say, “Sir, we have specialized caretakers for this. It’s policy, so please cooperate.”
Lan Zhen interjected quietly, “They’re issuing temporary identification documents in just seven days. You should be grateful for the local government’s lenient policies. Or do you want to bring them in illegally?”
Li Jian’an grumbled, “I was just asking about the policy. I have no intention of defying the local government.”
“When you fled the Kingdom of Ferrari, you should have thought about where you could go afterward,” Lan Zhen snorted lightly. “If it weren’t for my negotiations, our ship would’ve been seized by the local government the moment we landed!”
“I acknowledge that your negotiations must have played a significant role,” Yu Ke remarked casually. “But we’re also well aware that the Red Creek government has always been a neutral interstellar entity, and their relationship with Ferrari has been lukewarm at best in recent years. They had no reason to detain us.”
“Is that so?” Li Jian’an said sarcastically. “The Third Princess’s words almost had me convinced. I thought we all owed her a great debt and should kneel down to kowtow in gratitude.”
Yu Ke glanced at him. “I didn’t realize you had a sense of humor.”
The two of them continued their mocking remarks, leaving Lan Zhen fuming. “Who says I didn’t play a role? Is it so hard to admit my public relations skills?!”
“Not at all,” Yu Ke replied with a fake smile. “Your Highness, the Third Princess, since you’ve brought it up, perhaps you could use your excellent public relations skills to persuade this inspector to let these children pass?”
“Yes, yes,” Li Jian’an chimed in cheerfully. “Show us, so Captain Yu Ke can learn a thing or two!”
Fully aware she was being set up, Lan Zhen still had no choice but to pull out her phone. “…Let me make a call.”
Half an hour later, the entire group was cleared and even checked into the Gana Interstellar Hotel. The elevator ascended to the 201st floor, where a presidential suite with a massive terrace and swimming pool awaited them.
“This place is reserved for royalty. They originally planned to assign just one room for me, but I told them it wasn’t enough, so they immediately arranged five presidential suites,” Lan Zhen said smugly, glancing at Yu Ke. “Could you have managed that?”
Here we go again, the strange competitive drive between Alphas.
“If it were me, I’d probably end up sleeping on the streets with Princess Lan Xing,” Yu Ke said. “Staying in a presidential suite is something I never even dreamed of!”
Lan Xing, sitting in her wheelchair, nodded vigorously like an old lady.
Whatever Yu Ke said was right, even if it meant sleeping on the streets with her, it would surely be an incredibly fun experience!
Lan Zhen eyed them both suspiciously. “Really? You’re that incompetent?”
“Of course,” Yu Ke replied with a smile. “It’s only thanks to Third Princess’s good fortune that we didn’t end up sleeping on the streets.”
Lan Zhen remained half-convinced, but her vanity wasn’t fully satisfied. She said coldly, “When you’re out and about in the future, remember to drop my name. It opens doors and makes things easier.”
“Naturally!”
Lan Zhen had nothing more to say. After settling everyone in and giving Yu Ke a few more instructions, she swaggered back to her own room.
Yu Ke no longer felt awkward. Pushing Lan Xing’s wheelchair and having the hotel staff handle their luggage, she openly moved into Lan Xing’s room.
Standing on the 201st floor of the penthouse, they gazed through the glass at the breathtaking view of Gana spread out below.
The city was meticulously planned, built along the coast with skyscrapers arranged in an orderly yet varied layout. Sky bridges connected different buildings, distinct from vehicle-only routes, creating a road network that was intricate, complex, and highly efficient.
To the north, an observation deck offered a panoramic view of the entire city, while the southern end featured a luxurious swimming pool. Half-indoor and half-outdoor, the pool stretched a full hundred meters, with a deep end over three meters deep. The water was crystal clear and maintained at a constant temperature. Even Yu Ke felt tempted by the sight of it, let alone Lan Xing.
Lan Xing tossed aside her old-lady shawl, turned her head, and looked at Yu Ke with sparkling eyes. “Sister! Carry me!”
“Let’s get you into a swimsuit first,” Yu Ke said affectionately. “You can’t go into the water wearing fabric like that. It wouldn’t be proper if someone saw.”
“Just throw me in first,” Lan Xing pleaded, tugging at Yu Ke’s hand and shaking her wrist. “Sister, I want to go in now. I’m so parched!”
Yu Ke frowned. “No…”
“Just for a little while. I don’t have a swimsuit anyway,” Lan Xing insisted, using her tail to prop herself up in the wheelchair. She turned and clung to Yu Ke’s waist like a child throwing a tantrum, burying her face in Yu Ke’s chest. “Sister, just let me play for a bit…”
She always loved nestling against Yu Ke, who, being flat-chested, often felt taken advantage of but could never resist.
Yu Ke curved her lips into a smile, lifted Lan Xing from the wheelchair, cleared her throat, and said, “When I said no, I meant I can’t just throw you in. What if you get hurt? Go slowly, hold onto me tightly. Yes, like that, tighter. You’re too slippery; I can’t get a good grip…”
“Is this okay?” Lan Xing wrapped her arms around Yu Ke’s neck, hanging onto her completely.
“Good.” Supporting Lan Xing’s tail with her hands, Yu Ke took off her shoes and approached the pool. She bent down gently and lowered Lan Xing into the water.
The moment Lan Xing touched the water, she seemed to come alive. With a light flick of her tail, she could swim far and wide.
Yu Ke moved the tea and snacks outside, making them accessible for Lan Xing when she returned to the edge.
She then called the hotel to ask if they could send up two swimsuits.
“Of course,” the staff member at Gana Hotel said gently. “Please provide the size you need, and I’ll select one for you and bring it upstairs.”
Yu Ke glanced at Lan Xing in the water and hesitated before saying, “D… or maybe E.”
“Um, the largest size we have is 80D. I’m not sure if that will fit…”
“Hold on, let me check.” Yu Ke muted the microphone and walked barefoot to the edge of the pool with her phone, calling out, “Lan Xing.”
There was movement in the distant water as Lan Xing swiftly turned and swam back, her tail shimmering like a galaxy beneath the surface. She emerged, smiling, and said, “Sis, I’m here!”
Yu Ke looked down at her and froze for a moment.
Lan Xing’s top was completely soaked and clung tightly to her body. As she surfaced, her body swayed slightly, and Yu Ke’s heart trembled along with it.
Even after seeing it many times, she was still captivated by Lan Xing’s perfect curves. She stood there dazed for a moment, almost forgetting what she had wanted to ask.
Lan Xing swam to the edge of the pool and, seeing Yu Ke’s dazed expression, playfully splashed water at her. Only then did Yu Ke snap out of it and say, “I had something to ask you earlier.”
“And then?”
“I forgot,” Yu Ke said, lowering her head and noticing her phone call was still active. “Oh, I remember now. I wanted to ask you about your size…”
Lan Xing couldn’t help but laugh, gesturing as she said, “Sis, you look a bit silly like this! I’m an H, but I can wear a slightly smaller swimsuit!”
Yu Ke: “…”
An H… just two sizes larger than an E.
How ridiculous that she had thought Lan Xing was a D! Good thing she had confirmed it with her.
Yu Ke picked up her phone, lowered her head, and couldn’t help but sneak another glance at Lan Xing’s chest. Her breath hitched slightly.
They were both women, and she had the same features, so why did Lan Xing’s hold such an irresistible allure?
Yu Ke didn’t know what expression she was making. She felt a bit warm and stepped farther away to continue her conversation with the hotel staff. After hanging up, she explained the situation to Lan Xing.
“I asked the hotel to bring up a swimsuit, but they don’t have one in your size. They’ll need to order it,” Yu Ke said, sitting on a beach chair and taking a sip of tea. She glanced at Lan Xing and added nonchalantly, “I didn’t expect you to be an H.”
Lan Xing propped herself up on the edge of the pool, sipping her drink through a straw. Her golden hair cascaded over her shoulders, and her cheeks puffed out as she slowly swallowed a large gulp of juice. With a hint of pride, she said, “I know your size, sis, even your shoe size! But you didn’t know mine!”
Yu Ke leaned back in her chair, running her hands through her hair and pushing it back. Her slightly curled bangs fell to either side, exuding a mature, French-style charm. She raised the corners of her eyes slightly, a faint smile playing on her lips, and said, “So, what should we do about it?”
What should they do?
Lan Xing didn’t know either.
She stared straight at Yu Ke, grinning foolishly, then sank into the water until only half her head was above the surface, breathing lightly.
Yu Ke continued to watch her, her voice sultry and gentle. “Tell me, what should we do?”
“I don’t know. I feel so hot, sis,” Lan Xing said before diving underwater and blowing a stream of bubbles. After a while, she resurfaced and said, “Sis, I think I can smell your pheromones…”
Yu Ke raised her hand to touch her gland, which was indeed reacting.
In most cases, an Alpha would go into heat stimulated by an Omega’s pheromones, typically on a weekly cycle. However, Lan Xing hadn’t entered her heat cycle for a long time, and Yu Ke hadn’t detected any pheromones released by her. The reason Yu Ke was releasing her own pheromones was likely because she was stimulated by Lan Xing’s physique.
If she merely wanted to interact with Lan Xing, there would be no need for her to release pheromones, unless she intended to mark her.
But marking an Omega not in heat is a painful and cruel experience for the Omega.
Yu Ke felt extremely awkward. Restraining herself, she whispered, “Sorry… I wasn’t paying attention.”
It was quiet behind her. Yu Ke glanced back but didn’t see Lan Xing. Unsure, she called out, “Baby?”
There was still no movement in the water. Yu Ke stood up, barefoot at the edge of the pool, and called again, “Lan Xing, where are you?”
Suddenly, a force tugged at her feet. Yu Ke stumbled forward and splashed into the water with a “plop.” She was pulled by someone and felt an incredibly smooth, soft body. That soft figure drew closer, embracing her tightly, pressing against her completely. As the water rippled, it felt as if she were floating weightlessly in space, dancing a graceful ballet.
Her body moved freely in the water, her waist held by her “dance partner,” and her lips sealed. Yu Ke opened her eyes and met a pair of beautiful sapphire-like eyes, filled with a hint of panic and shyness.
It was a cunning little mermaid!
With a splash, Yu Ke and Lan Xing surfaced. Just as Lan Xing released her, Yu Ke suddenly lunged forward like a madwoman, clutching Lan Xing tightly, her hands frantically exploring her waist with intense force, as if trying to meld their bodies into one.
She rested her chin on Lan Xing’s shoulder, panting, her tongue pressed against a sharp tooth. Her body remained motionless, only holding Lan Xing tightly.
Her teeth trembled faintly, chattering softly.
She wanted Lan Xing’s pheromones.
Now, immediately.
“It’s okay, mark me, sister.” Lan Xing’s voice, like melted honey, poured into her already boiling blood.
