“I did mention to you before that I plan to attend the wedding in the Kingdom of Ferrari,” Zhenzhen said with an elegant smile. “You should be asking me in what capacity I received the invitation.”

Yu Ke recalled that she had indeed said so, but Yu Ke had never cared much about the wedding and hadn’t paid it much mind.

Seeing Yu Ke’s surprised expression, Zhenzhen laughed and said, “Lan Xing is my sister. I watched the rescue livestream, you really went all out to save her!”

Yu Ke was taken aback. Lan Zhen, holding onto the handsome male Omega beside her, teased, “What’s the matter? Don’t I look like a princess?”

“You are elegant,” Yu Ke snapped back to reality, a slight smile curling at the corner of her lips. “A true princess.”

And a beautiful mermaid princess at that, an Alpha with an extraordinary presence.

Yu Ke couldn’t help but marvel at how small the world was, to run into Lan Xing’s sister here of all places.

Noticing the change in her expression, Lan Zhen flashed a triumphant smile and handed her a glass of lemon water, saying gracefully, “You didn’t think I’d strike up a conversation with you for no reason, did you?”

“I thought you were trying to seduce me,” Yu Ke admitted bluntly, taking the lemon water and setting it aside. “To be honest, I almost fell for it.”

“Really? I don’t believe you,” Lan Zhen said, dismissing the male Omega beside her with a meaningful smile. “I saw that livestream. For my sister Lan Xing, you were willing to do anything. Someone so deeply in love, how could you possibly fall for my tricks?”

Yu Ke sighed helplessly. “It seems half the galaxy knows about my feelings for Lan Xing now.”

Lan Zhen pondered for a moment. “So, is that why you left the Kingdom of Ferrari?”

“I couldn’t stay there and keep making a fool of myself,” Yu Ke replied, lowering her gaze.

“What do you mean, making a fool of yourself? You were the hero saving the beauty, you were incredible,” Lan Zhen said cheerfully. “If I were you, I wouldn’t slink away at a time like this. I’d go back and snatch Lan Xing away for a runaway marriage!”

Yu Ke gave a self-deprecating laugh. “I don’t have that kind of ability.”

“Not necessarily,” Lan Zhen countered.

Yu Ke’s smile faded as she looked at her, hesitating to speak further.

Lan Zhen said leisurely, “Running away at a time like this will only make Lan Xing heartbroken for the rest of her life.”

“She won’t be,” Yu Ke murmured after a pause. “Why don’t you tell me instead, why are you encouraging me to crash the wedding? What’s in it for you?”

Lan Zhen laughed heartily, her deep blue eyes narrowing as she raised her glass. “What could I possibly gain? I just enjoy watching the drama.”

Yu Ke sensed something off in her words but couldn’t pinpoint it right away. Her intuition told her that Lan Zhen knew some of Lan Xing’s secrets.

But Yu Ke didn’t press further. Instead, she asked about Lan Zhen’s upcoming plans, wished her well, and left.

After returning to the spaceship and sleeping through the night, Yu Ke was awakened the next day by Li Jian’an, who informed her that Xiao Nan had gotten into trouble.

When Yu Ke saw Xiao Nan again, she was disheveled and distressed, held firmly by a tall, imposing Alpha.

Xiao Nan was strikingly beautiful, with innocent, lively brown eyes that usually evoked sympathy, which was why Li Jian’an had brought her aboard the spaceship in the first place.

But now, her eyes were swollen, her expression defeated. Her clothes were torn, her skin marked with rough scratches, and she was chained by the neck like livestock.

“Is this your maid?” the male Alpha asked with clear hostility.

“How could this happen?” Yu Ke was absolutely furious. “Why are you treating her like this?”

“She seduced a married man, violating interstellar law,” the man declared arrogantly. “If it were just an ordinary person, it might be overlooked, but she actually set her sights on our manager. The manager’s wife caught her in the act and demanded she face the strictest legal consequences.”

Yu Ke looked at Xiao Nan, utterly incredulous.

Xiao Nan appeared utterly defeated, her eyes vacant as she murmured, “I’m sorry…”

Though Yu Ke knew this Omega was troublesome, she never imagined she’d cause such serious trouble.

Fuming, Yu Ke commanded the Alpha, “Release her! She’s a citizen of the Ferrari Kingdom and deserves your respect!”

The man nodded. “Since she’s a citizen of the Ferrari Kingdom, she must be punished according to Ferrari law. Seducing a married man is no different from prostitution. For an offense of this severity, she should be imprisoned for at least a year or two.”

“What kind of ridiculous law is that?” Yu Ke stepped forward, snatched the chain from the man’s hand, and demanded he unlock it. “Did you witness her seducing anyone? Do you have evidence? How can you treat a woman like this? All I see in you is barbarism and rudeness!”

“Madam,” the man said sternly, “we have evidence of her seducing our manager, the manager’s own testimony!”

Yu Ke turned to Xiao Nan, frowning as she asked, “Why did you do this?”

Xiao Nan hung her head, crying uncontrollably.
