Transmigrated into a Classic Dog-Blood Drama as the Scummy Alpha - Chapter 65
When Lin Qinghan woke up that morning, she found herself nestled in a warm embrace. Shen Xian, worried that Lin Qinghan might feel uneasy waking up alone, had skipped her morning run and simply held her quietly, resting with her eyes half closed.
The moment Lin Qinghan stirred, Shen Xian also opened her eyes.
“Morning, Qinghan. Did you sleep well?” she asked gently.
Still in Shen Xian’s arms, Lin Qinghan nodded, slightly embarrassed, and gave Shen Xian a gentle push.
“Go back to your side,” she whispered.
Instead of moving, Shen Xian smiled and leaned in closer to whisper teasingly in her ear, “Qinghan, are you casting me aside now that you’ve used me?”
Her warm breath tickled Lin Qinghan’s ear, and paired with such suggestive words, it was hard not to read too much into it. A blush crept up Lin Qinghan’s cheeks. She pinched Shen Xian’s waist lightly and urged,
“Go quickly—what if Tiantian wakes up? How are we supposed to explain this?”
Just as they were tangled in their quiet bickering, their daughter stirred from her sleep. She blinked her big round eyes and looked at the two adults in confusion.
“Mama, why are you sleeping on Mommy’s side?”
Lin Qinghan’s ears turned bright red from her daughter’s innocent question. She shot Shen Xian a fierce glare. Shen Xian, on the other hand, remained unfazed and calmly explained with a smile,
“Mama sleeps a little messily. I must have rolled over in my sleep. But look at our sweet Tiantian—such a good girl, stayed right in her spot all night.”
Still drowsy, Tiantian nodded dazedly.
Lin Qinghan shoved Shen Xian a few more times before she finally got up, grinning and heading to wash up.
Watching Shen Xian leave with such a happy expression, Lin Qinghan grumbled under her breath,
“What a menace.”

After breakfast, Shen Xian and Lin Qinghan dropped Tiantian off at school and then oversaw the move into their new home. Since they were renting, most of the furniture and appliances were provided by the landlord. They only had a few personal items to bring, and one trip was enough to get everything over.
Shen Xian had already arranged for the place to be professionally cleaned in advance. With just a morning of organizing, the new place was fully set up.
While the two were resting on the couch, Lin Qinghan turned to Shen Xian and asked,
“Is there a temple nearby?”
Shen Xian paused in surprise.
“There should be. Since when did you start believing in that kind of thing?”
Lin Qinghan gave her a light slap.
“It’s because of you! Better to be safe than sorry. Let’s go get some protection charms this afternoon. I just… I can’t shake the worry.”
Shen Xian softened.
“Okay. If it brings you peace of mind, I’ll go with you.”
They ordered takeout for lunch and rested a while. That afternoon, they headed to one of Linhai City’s most well-known temples, Weiming Temple, about ten kilometers from the city center.
As they stood outside the temple gates, Lin Qinghan hesitated. She turned to Shen Xian, biting her lip.
“Shen Xian… do you think something bad might happen to you if you go in? I mean, your situation…”
Shen Xian chuckled.
“I’m not a monster. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”
She had already checked with the system—it confirmed that she was now considered a normal person. As long as she completed her affection-level tasks, she could stay in this world.
Together, they knelt before the statue and bowed. Lin Qinghan’s expression was solemn, quietly muttering a prayer, asking for protection for Shen Xian.
Shen Xian watched her with gentle eyes. The warmth and care Lin Qinghan showed her now was something her past life had never given her.
Lin Qinghan successfully received a charm and carefully tucked the yellow talisman into Shen Xian’s shirt pocket over her heart.
“There. Now I feel safer.”
Shen Xian smiled.
“Then that’s all that matters.”
She took Lin Qinghan’s hand, slowly threading her fingers between hers, interlocking them tightly.
“What are you doing?” Lin Qinghan asked shyly.
“I can’t hold my wife’s hand?” Shen Xian said with a grin.
Lin Qinghan rolled her eyes and gave her a small pinch.
“Honestly, when I found out yesterday that you’re not the original Shen Xian… I was relieved. I kept telling myself I’d moved past everything, but deep down, it still bothered me. But now, I think we really did start from scratch. What happened before—that wasn’t you. I even blamed you at first, but now I see… you were just taking the fall.”
Shen Xian gently swayed their joined hands and whispered,
“It wasn’t unfair. I’m grateful I ended up here. Because of you, Tiantian, and the original Shen Xian parents, this place feels like home. You know, Qinghan, you’re the first person I’ve ever fallen in love with—across both lives.”
A faint blush crept up Lin Qinghan’s ears, and her voice faltered slightly.
“Don’t say weird things like that.”
“It’s the truth. Maybe I’ve liked you all along and just didn’t realize it—kept telling myself we were just good friends, besties even.” Shen Xian laughed at her own words.
Lin Qinghan gave her a playful slap on the thigh and narrowed her eyes.
“Exactly! You were really going to let an Omega make the first move, huh? If I hadn’t kissed you back then, would we still be ‘besties’?”
Shen Xian grinned.
“Probably not. I already liked being around you too much. There was no going back—bestie or not, I was destined to become Mrs. Lin.”
“Don’t be so smug. I haven’t agreed to that yet.”
“I’m working on it, aren’t I?”

Later in the evening, they picked Tiantian up from preschool and brought her to their new home. It was nearly twice as big as the old place, and Tiantian ran around happily exploring.
Shen Xian scooped her up and kissed her cheeks.
“Come on, Tiantian, let’s go see your room.”
Clinging to Shen Xian’s neck, Tiantian bounced her little pigtails as they entered her new room. The sight that greeted her was a cozy little haven: a big bed with bunny-themed sheets and pillowcases in soft pinks, and matching pastel furniture all around.
Shen Xian helped her take off her shoes and lifted her onto the bed. The big bed made her look especially tiny, and Shen Xian even placed a giant teddy bear beside her.
“Tiantian,” Shen Xian said gently, “Most kids your age start learning to sleep by themselves. Do you think you can try?”
Tiantian shook her head.
“I want Mama and Mommy with me.”
“But lots of four-year-olds already sleep on their own. And you’ve got Mr. Bear here to keep you company.”
“But… but Mama has to tell stories so I can sleep.”
“We’ll tell you a story, and once you’re asleep, Mama and Mommy will leave quietly. Is that okay?”
Tiantian hesitated but eventually nodded.
“Okay. I’ll try. If I get scared, I’ll come find you.”
“Deal. You’re my little brave one.”
Shen Xian carried her back into the living room, grinning.
“Qinghan, she agreed! She’ll try sleeping on her own tonight.”
Lin Qinghan blushed a little as she took her daughter into her arms.
“Good. She’ll be in the middle class next year anyway—might as well start learning.”
That night, Tiantian lay in her little bunny-print bed, listening to a bedtime story from Lin Qinghan. Her eyes slowly drooped. Like clockwork, she was already struggling to stay awake by 9:30 and didn’t even make it to the end of the story before falling asleep.
Shen Xian quietly turned on the pink pig nightlight, switched off the main light, and tiptoed out of the room with Lin Qinghan, gently pulling the door halfway closed behind them.
Shen Xian glanced playfully at Lin Qinghan and teased with a smile,
“Now we don’t have to worry about Tiantian catching us doing anything anymore.”
Lin Qinghan’s cheeks flushed instantly. She gave Shen Xian a small shove.
“Don’t talk nonsense. We were just sleeping, that’s all.”
“Alright, alright, I’m talking nonsense again.” Shen Xian grinned as she lifted her side of the blanket and climbed in, patting the space next to her invitingly.
Lin Qinghan avoided looking at her, walked straight to her side of the bed, and lay down with her back to Shen Xian. Shen Xian reached over and turned off the main light, switching on the bedside lamp instead.
Scooting closer, she slipped an arm around Lin Qinghan’s waist and gently pulled her back.
“Qinghan, you’re almost falling off the bed. What are you so afraid of? I’m not a wolf.”
“I-I wasn’t avoiding you,” Lin Qinghan shot back, eyes glaring defensively.
With one swift motion, Shen Xian pulled her into her arms and placed a kiss on the flushed tip of her ear.
“Didn’t you say you wanted to share a room with me before?”
Her heart thudded wildly at the reminder, the blush spreading down her neck.
Shen Xian adjusted her hold on Lin Qinghan, then leaned over, propping herself up on both elbows on either side. Her gaze was soft enough to melt, and her smile curled gently at the corners.
“Since I’m Mrs. Lin now, shouldn’t I be entitled to some wifely benefits?”
Lin Qinghan opened her mouth to protest, but before she could say anything, Shen Xian’s warm lips pressed down on hers. Within seconds, the kiss deepened into something slow and lingering. They stayed locked together for several minutes before Shen Xian finally pulled back, leaving Lin Qinghan breathless beneath her.
She leaned in to kiss the corner of Lin Qinghan’s lips, her voice soft as silk by her ear.
“Mrs. Shen… may I?”
Still shy, Lin Qinghan lifted her head and placed a tender kiss on Shen Xian’s cheek in response. The subtle scent of sweet osmanthus and well tea began to diffuse throughout the room—her pheromone unmistakably blooming.
Encouraged, Shen Xian kissed her again. The fragrance of sweet orange slowly filled the air, tangling intimately with the osmanthus scent. Her dominant pheromone enveloped Lin Qinghan’s and gently caressed it, creating a delicate yet heady aroma in the room. As the air thickened with their scent, their breath grew faster, and the pheromones tangled in a heady, intoxicating blend.
Later, Shen Xian held Lin Qinghan lazily in her arms, planting soft, loving kisses along her nape, right over her gland. Lin Qinghan was thoroughly worn out, only casting her a glance before closing her eyes, but each kiss that landed on her gland still made her body tremble.
Too exhausted to even open her eyes, Lin Qinghan murmured in a hoarse, sleepy voice, sounding uncharacteristically coquettish,
“Shen Xian… enough, I’m so tired… I’m all sweaty, it’s uncomfortable.”
Shen Xian coaxed her gently, brushing her lips against her ear,
“Alright, no more. Just lie still, I’ll get a towel and clean you up.”
She laid Lin Qinghan down gently, slipped on a nightgown, and went to the bathroom. Passing Tiantian’s room, she peeked in. The little girl was lying on her back, fast asleep with her tiny face tilted toward the ceiling. Shen Xian walked in and quietly adjusted the covers before tiptoeing to the bathroom.
By the time Shen Xian returned, Lin Qinghan was already sound asleep. She cleaned her up with the softest touch, tucked her in, then took a quick shower herself before climbing back into bed and gathering Lin Qinghan back into her arms.

As the sky began to lighten, Shen Xian woke up early, thanks to her internal clock. With Lin Qinghan still cuddled in her arms, she couldn’t resist planting light kisses on her ear and cheek. The soft warmth of her body pressed against her made it hard to get up, so Shen Xian simply lay there, watching her.
Eventually, seeing that time was slipping by, Shen Xian pressed a kiss to Lin Qinghan’s lips and gently shook her awake. Lin Qinghan finally opened her eyes slowly.
Still nestled in Shen Xian’s arms, both of them completely bare under the covers, Lin Qinghan’s face flushed instantly. She tried to get up, but Shen Xian had her locked firmly in place.
“Qinghan, you forgot my good morning kiss,” Shen Xian teased, grinning.
In a hurry to find some clothes, Lin Qinghan leaned in and gave her a quick peck, then escaped from her arms and fled to the bathroom.
Shen Xian chuckled softly to herself, amused, but her laughter was cut short when Lin Qinghan’s voice called from the bathroom:
“Shen Xian, come here.”
She walked in, smiling, thinking to herself, Qinghan really is so clingy, and stepped inside.
But Lin Qinghan shot her a sharp glare.
“Stand against the wall. Just look at what you did.”
She pointed to the side of her neck and shoulder, which were dotted with strawberry marks.
Shen Xian obediently leaned against the wall and explained sheepishly,
“I was just… too happy last night. I wasn’t thinking straight.”
“Fine. Then tonight I’m sleeping with Tiantian,” Lin Qinghan huffed as she dabbed concealer onto her neck.
Shen Xian moved closer, feigning pitifulness.
“Don’t be like that, Qinghan. Tiantian finally got used to sleeping on her own. Let’s not disrupt her routine. If you’re mad… then how about you bite me back?”
She tilted her head, offering her neck.
Having been ravished the night before and now covered in hickeys, Lin Qinghan was still angry.
“You think I won’t?” she said—and bit down. Hard.
A few more hickeys bloomed instantly on Shen Xian’s pale neck, pink and obvious.
Shen Xian didn’t get upset. Instead, she looked even more delighted—and made no move to hide them.
When Lin Qinghan finished applying concealer, she glanced up and saw Shen Xian ready to head out.
“Aren’t you going to cover yours?”
Shen Xian smiled as she looked back at her.
“Everyone at work knows I’m married. They’ve all seen you. Isn’t it normal to have a few marks? They’re from my wife—it’s nothing to hide. We’re all adults.”
“You’re impossible,” Lin Qinghan grumbled. “Fine, I’ll do it for you.”
She grabbed her concealer and yanked Shen Xian back in place.
“Chin up.”
Shen Xian smiled and tilted her head up, letting Lin Qinghan work.
“All done.” Lin Qinghan turned away to put the concealer back and headed out to change clothes.
But Shen Xian wrapped her arms around her from behind and murmured in her ear,
“To be honest, I wish everyone knew you’re my wife.”
Lin Qinghan glanced back at her, a small smile tugging at her lips.
“Silly. I didn’t know you were this good at sweet talk before.”
“You’ll know soon enough,” Shen Xian whispered, stealing a kiss to her ear before finally letting go.
