- Chapter 36 - An Unexpected Night
Gu Qing calmly released a strong wave of her pheromones to soothe Qi Siyu. In an instant, the scent of red wine and chocolate enveloped the Alpha, saturating the room with the heady blend of their intertwined pheromones.
At the same time, she reached for the inhibitor she’d placed in the nightstand drawer. Thankfully, she had both Alpha and Omega types prepared.
However, just as her hand extended, it was intercepted and pinned down by a burning-hot palm. Qi Siyu’s fingers wrapped tightly around her wrist, as if her hand had been surrounded by a ring of fire.
The heat made Gu Qing’s heart clench.
Frozen in place, she dared not move. Qi Siyu, meanwhile, paid her arm no further attention and single-mindedly focused on her actions.
Maybe once the Alpha completed a mark, it would pass. It was unlikely to be a real rut—probably a pseudo-rut, just like what she herself had experienced.
After all, a genuine Alpha rut is typically triggered only when exposed to deep-heat Omega pheromones, prompting a biological response to satisfy the Omega’s urgent needs.
There was no way Qi Siyu had come into contact with that kind of scent—unless… unless Sun Yingying did something during her visit earlier that night.
That would have to be investigated later. For now, her priority was getting Qi Siyu back to normal.
But Qi Siyu just kept nuzzling, nipping, and licking. There was no sign of escalation, just an endless, desperate attempt to find release.
The worst part was, her movements were growing more frantic and intense, like an animal that couldn’t find a place to vent its instincts.
Gu Qing never imagined she’d find herself in this situation.
“Higher. Lick higher,” Gu Qing ordered, simultaneously withdrawing most of her pheromones, leaving only a concentrated release at the base of her neck—right over her scent gland.
Like luring in a small, wild creature with a treat.
The next second, Qi Siyu let out a small whimper of protest and instinctively latched onto that patch of soft flesh, suckling hard as if trying to draw every last drop of pheromone from it.
Gu Qing gripped the bedsheets with both hands, her knuckles turning white, nearly tearing the fabric. The strength it took to hold back was immense.
“Bite me. Use your canines,” she gritted out.
But Qi Siyu ignored the command, continuing to suck greedily.
Gu Qing clenched her jaw and completely cut off her pheromone flow—nothing left for Qi Siyu to taste. “Bite me. It doesn’t hurt.”
Unable to get any more scent, Qi Siyu began to whimper and rub her face against her neck in frustration. “Want the sweet scent… want the sweet scent…”
“Bite,” Gu Qing repeated, coaxing her gently. She released just the faintest hint of pheromones to tempt her.
“Waaah… I don’t want to bite… it’ll hurt…” Qi Siyu suddenly burst into sobs, crying so hard her whole body trembled.
Tears fell, landing hot against Gu Qing’s skin—hot, then quickly cooling, leaving behind a chill that sent a shiver down her spine.
Gu Qing let out a breathless, disbelieving laugh between gasps. “It won’t hurt. If you bite and inject your pheromones, we’ll both feel better.”
Qi Siyu’s scent teased her senses. Her tongue played at her skin. Even her tears seemed to strike Gu Qing’s heart. And yet, she still refused to mark her, leaving Gu Qing restless and aching.
“It’ll hurt more if you don’t bite,” she coaxed softly, voice gentle and patient.
At last, Qi Siyu hesitantly placed her canines against the gland, clearly reluctant to bite down.
Gu Qing gritted her teeth, releasing another small wave of pheromones as she pulled Qi Siyu closer. “Do it.”
Once the sharp teeth pierced her skin, instinct took over.
Qi Siyu was overwhelmed with pleasure, moaning softly as she clung tightly to Gu Qing, as if trying to merge their bodies into one.
Gu Qing, too, was left dizzy with pleasure—her scalp tingled, her toes curled, and soft, fragmented gasps spilled from between her teeth.
But the Alpha’s aggressive pheromones kept pouring out, unchecked and overwhelming. Gu Qing’s breathing grew louder, her body waking to an even deeper craving—one that stirred from the depths of her soul.
She couldn’t help squeezing her legs together. Compared to most Omegas, Gu Qing had always had a low libido. But even she couldn’t resist this constant flood of Alpha pheromones—day after day, moment after moment.
Even after the marking ended, Qi Siyu wasn’t satisfied. She resumed suckling the gland, utterly intoxicated.
“Enough.” Gu Qing tried to bark the command, but her voice came out breathy and sweet, more like a lover’s invitation than a rebuke.
The sound only made Qi Siyu burn hotter. Her body started to twist and writhe like a water snake, coiling tightly around Gu Qing. Her hands roamed, trailing heat along Gu Qing’s waist and abdomen, setting small fires wherever they touched.
Soft. Even her chest is soft, Gu Qing thought hazily. The realization mortified her—what was she even thinking?
Yet those two small, still-developing peaks rubbed against her back, igniting her nerves. Gu Qing couldn’t take it anymore. She used all her strength to flip them over.
Losing access to her “honey gland,” Qi Siyu pouted, lips trembling like she might cry again. But when she saw Gu Qing’s stormy gray eyes, she froze, entranced.
“So pretty…” she mumbled, leaning in until their noses touched.
Gu Qing immediately regretted the flip. Their heated breaths tangled together. She could see herself reflected in Qi Siyu’s eyes—flushed, full of desire, utterly exposed.
She shut her eyes tight.
But Qi Siyu wasn’t having that. She reached out with two fingers, gently prying at Gu Qing’s eyelids, wanting to see that shimmering night sky again.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Gu Qing quickly located the inhibitor and jabbed it into the back of Qi Siyu’s neck.
Qi Siyu yelped from the sting. Within seconds, the drug took effect. The Alpha passed out instantly.
Her head dropped like a rock—landing right on Gu Qing’s lips.
Their lips met.
Soft.
Gu Qing was stunned for a few seconds. It was her first kiss, technically. But really, it was just lips touching. Nothing to fuss over.
She quickly composed herself, tossed the empty syringe aside, and pushed Qi Siyu to the other side of the bed.
After sitting dazed for a while, she got up, soaked a warm towel, and returned to gently wipe away the sweat and tears from Qi Siyu’s face.
The collar of Qi Siyu’s sleepwear had come loose, exposing the sheen of sweat along her neck and chest.
Should she wipe it?
Gu Qing bit her lip and quickly gave her a basic cleaning.
Then she went into the bathroom for a shower. The sound of water ran for a long time—but there was no heat in it.
When she returned, Qi Siyu was still lying quietly in bed. The sleep aid in the Alpha inhibitor would keep her knocked out for at least another eight hours.
Gu Qing lay down beside her.
She had no idea when this susceptibility phase would finally end.
