- Chapter 37 - Qi Siyu’s Arrangement
This time, it was Gu Qing who woke up in the early morning. She originally wanted to carry the sleeping Qi Siyu back to her own room.
But she quickly realized—there was no way she could move her. Omegas simply weren’t a match for Alphas when it came to strength.
She had no choice but to try waking her up.
Qi Siyu let out a soft groan, barely opening her eyes. She was clearly still half-asleep, struggling to resist the pull of slumber.
“Let’s go sleep somewhere else,” Gu Qing coaxed her gently.
After a mix of dragging, supporting, and Qi Siyu’s half-cooperation, Gu Qing finally managed to get her back to her own bed.
But just as she turned to leave, her hand was tugged.
Gu Qing turned back and saw that familiar pout. If she didn’t intervene, it would soon be followed by sobbing and tears.
She immediately returned and lay down beside her, softly patting her back in a soothing rhythm.
Only when Qi Siyu had fully fallen asleep did Gu Qing manage to slip away.
Back in her own room, she let out a quiet sigh and closed her eyes to rest.
She couldn’t quite name what she was feeling. In all her plans, she had never imagined things would get this physically intimate between her and Qi Siyu.
But it was fine. Just a small, unexpected incident—nothing more. What’s passed is passed.
The sun had risen high in the sky, its rays streaming in through the window.
A loud knock echoed on her door. When Gu Qing opened it, she was met with a pair of tear-filled, innocent eyes.
Clearly, Qi Siyu’s susceptibility period wasn’t over.
“Don’t leave me,” the Alpha choked out in a trembling voice, eyes red and pitiful to the extreme.
“We’re in the same house. How could I leave you?” Gu Qing said softly as she deftly wiped the Alpha’s face, then took her arm and led her to the breakfast table. “Look, breakfast for two.”
“If I wanted to leave you behind, would I have made you breakfast?”
The not-so-bright Alpha immediately lit up, her lips curling into a bright grin, showing off her sharp canines. “I love you the most, jiejie.”
As she spoke, she couldn’t help leaning in to nuzzle Gu Qing’s shoulder, acting like an oversized, affectionate puppy.
Those canines used for marking really did have a genetic link to dogs, didn’t they?
Gu Qing’s hands paused midair, chopsticks frozen. That “jiejie” startled her—it was sweet, crisp, filled with pure joy and reliance.
Fans often called her that, but when Qi Siyu said it, it felt much more intimate, as if they were truly bonded sisters.
“Eat,” Gu Qing said, ignoring the strange stir in her heart. She didn’t respond to the “jiejie” and simply urged Qi Siyu to eat.
Qi Siyu obeyed, eating obediently.
Meanwhile, Gu Qing checked the show’s official app on her phone. Today’s personal task: go to the children’s amusement park and take photos with the kids.
Director Gao Zhonghai had even messaged her directly, reminding her not to skip it.
Gu Qing replied that she was willing to accept the penalty instead.
But Gao Zhonghai responded that the task had been arranged by Qi Siyu herself. It was designed to reveal Gu Qing’s childhood and family background.
There would be an unruly child no one else could calm—Gu Qing would step in to soothe them, showcasing her skill with children. Then she’d demonstrate some cooking, which would naturally segue into stories of how she took care of her younger brother and managed the household at a young age.
There would also be a teenager who hated studying—Gu Qing would give them some heartfelt advice, leading into the story of how she once had excellent grades in middle school but was forced by her family to drop out and start working.
Qi Siyu had already arranged for people from Gu Qing’s hometown to appear as witnesses—testifying that her parents had favored boys over girls and mistreated her.
As for the future accusations that Gu Qing cut ties with her parents after becoming famous and refused to support them in their old age—those were easy to refute. Just show the bank statements.
Unfortunately, that greedy couple had only ever called her to demand money and hurl abuse, leaving behind no chat logs or textual evidence.
Gu Qing stared blankly at Gao Zhonghai’s message.
So Qi Siyu had arranged all this behind the scenes.
Her emotions were complicated and conflicted.
Even if they were technically separate personalities, they were still part of the same body. She had created this mess, and she would have to clean it up herself.
No room for useless sentimentality.
Gu Qing glanced at Qi Siyu. Sensing the look, Qi Siyu turned her head and beamed at her with a radiant smile.
Gu Qing’s gaze softened a little.
The human brain was such a strange thing. Look how even a susceptibility period could change someone so drastically.
Since Qi Siyu had gone to such lengths, it wouldn’t be right to waste her efforts. After breakfast, Gu Qing brought her along and set off for the amusement park.
Regardless of whether last night’s events had anything to do with Sun Yingying, Gu Qing hoped Gao Zhonghai would keep her far away from them.
So, thankfully, there was no tailing Sun Yingying today.
Once they got back tomorrow, she’d take Qi Siyu to her maternal family’s private hospital for a full checkup.
Half an hour later, Gu Qing and Qi Siyu arrived outside the children’s amusement park.
The town was a tourist destination, so many families were here on vacation. The amusement park was one of the must-visit spots.
It was 10:30 in the morning—peak entry time. The place was filled with excited, chattering kids, bursting with energy.
Qi Siyu, like a curious child herself, looked around eagerly, eyes sparkling with anticipation. “It looks so fun!”
They didn’t take the VIP route. After queuing and scanning their tickets, Gu Qing and Qi Siyu entered the park.
Facing the camera, Gu Qing explained, “The amusement park has 18 themed areas. Today’s task is to visit each one and take a photo with the children there.”
Some viewers in the livestream complained that the task felt too relaxed and didn’t match the tone of Carefree Vacation.
But their voices were drowned out by the flood of excited comments hoping to see “Little Qi” enjoy herself.
Gu Qing caught sight of the complaints but pretended not to notice.
There were nine guests in this show. If someone didn’t like her vibe, they could watch someone else’s stream.
“Let’s start with the Dinosaur Park and ride the dino slides, okay?” Gu Qing looked up at Qi Siyu.
Qi Siyu clapped like a happy seal. “Okay! Let’s go, let’s go!”
The director hadn’t told her the full layout—or maybe he just didn’t want to. He only said to visit all 18 attractions.
Luckily, there were shuttle carts inside the park. Soon, the two arrived at the Dinosaur Park.
In front of them were dozens of giant dinosaurs, all proportionally enlarged. Slides were built along their backs, and inside were maze-like obstacle courses—kids had to answer trivia questions to get through.
Standing there, humans looked tiny by comparison.
Gu Qing took a deep breath. Even small people have their own ways of living.
“Wow, what’s going on over there?” Qi Siyu pointed to a crowd of children gathered in one area. Without waiting for a reply, she grabbed Gu Qing’s wheelchair and dashed over.
The kids were mostly foreign—blond hair, blue eyes.
When they saw Gu Qing in a wheelchair, one child looked at her with sympathy, then warmly invited her to join in the fun.
Once the leader spoke, the rest followed suit, cheerfully welcoming her.
Their voices overlapped in a flurry of foreign languages.
The livestream captured it all.
Lurking haters instantly pounced.
【Doesn’t anyone know Gu Qing is a dropout? No way she understands them lol~】
【What a disgrace to the nation—can’t even speak abroad!】
【What dropout? Our movie queen at least made it to middle school!】
【She dropped out in middle school, so technically primary school is her highest completed education!】
The haters were practically celebrating.
Gu Qing’s fans were furious, fists clenched, ready to leap through the screen for a fight.
But in the next second, Gu Qing responded fluently in a foreign language, chatting effortlessly with the kids.
Everyone laughed happily.
A wave of “HAHAHAHAHA” flooded the chat—the fans were laughing their heads off.
Burned much?
Try again later~
Surrounded by children, Gu Qing gently praised their toys as they eagerly showed them off one by one.
Ironically, Qi Siyu had been the one who dragged Gu Qing over—but now that Gu Qing was smiling and playing so sweetly, Qi Siyu felt… left out.
With a pout, she marched over, grabbed each child by the armpits like pulling radishes, and cleared a path to Gu Qing’s side. Then she threw her arms around the wheelchair and declared possessively, “Mine!”
“Pretty jiejie belongs to everyone!” one little girl retorted fiercely.
“Mine! Mine!” Qi Siyu shouted back, then turned to Gu Qing expectantly—waiting for her to pick a side.
Her mouth was already quivering, as if she’d burst into tears the second she didn’t get her way.
