The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 66
“Slap!”
The crisp sound was especially loud in the living room. The Alpha’s left cheek quickly flushed with a thin layer of red. Her appearance was already somewhat heroic, and this faint mark didn’t add any delicate vulnerability to her; instead, it made her look a bit like a ruffian.
Shen Zhi suddenly let out a laugh, the red mark on her face stretching with the movement, “Your strength is so small, like a little kitten grinding its teeth.”
Forced to sit on Shen Zhi’s lap, Qin Huai didn’t resist, because resistance would have been pointless anyway. She lowered her eyes, her black lashes resting on her pale skin, and her thin lips parted slightly, “Then you also won’t be able to do anything.”
With that, Qin Huai pressed hard with her toe and quickly kicked Shen Zhi in the ankle.
Shen Zhi hissed and leaned back slightly, “Are you so fond of being physical now?”
“You have to deal with a scoundrel using a scoundrel’s method.” Qin Huai planted her toes on the floor and stood up from Shen Zhi’s legs. “If I remember correctly, I only recently suggested that we break up. What exactly are you doing now? Harassment?”
The Omega slightly lowered her chin, looking down from above, her slender back held perfectly straight, as if only this could maintain her dignity. But only she knew that her legs, hidden by her trousers, were subtly trembling.
Shen Zhi leaned back on the sofa, pondered for a moment, then tilted her beautiful face upwards, “I don’t think so. Our relationship has been completely controlled by you from beginning to end. Don’t you think that’s very unfair to me?”
Qin Huai hadn’t had much contact with young Alphas like her, but she had heard a lot about them. They possessed a delicate sort of rigidity, believing that dating meant being together permanently, unwilling to break up, almost treating it like marriage. But in reality, dating was just a process of trial and error; if your personalities fit, you take the relationship further, and if not, you break up.
Yet, Shen Zhi’s behavior clearly amounted to clinging to her.
Qin Huai didn’t want to waste another word. She looked down and tidied her clothes, which had been messed up by the Alpha’s hands. Her tone was devoid of emotion, “If you want fairness, go home and cry to your parents. I’m not responsible for that.”
After smoothing out her clothes, Qin Huai finally looked up, “If you’re hungry, order takeout yourself. I really don’t have time to play games with you. I’m leaving now.”
Having said that, Qin Huai turned and walked away without hesitation. She felt she was truly insane for wasting so much time talking nonsense with a child. Qin Huai composed herself and took her first step forward, when the Alpha’s lazy voice came from behind her.
“If you dare to take one more step forward, I’ll post on the forum.”
Qin Huai’s steps halted.
“I’ve already decided on the post content. I’ll say that the senior assistant student used her position for personal gain and coerced her junior schoolmate.” Shen Zhi propped one leg up on the sofa, her voice light and airy.
“Oh.” It would be easy to throw mud like that, especially given Qin Huai’s unique status. But Qin Huai didn’t take it to heart. Her tone was the same as usual, showing no other distinction, “Then I’ll reply to the thread, saying that I’ve slept with many Alphas, and all their skills were”
Qin Huai paused, seemingly trying to pique the Alpha’s interest, “very bad.”
Just one sentence was enough to provoke the young Alpha, who, despite being semi crippled, jumped up from the sofa and grabbed Qin Huai’s hand, “Who are you saying has bad skills?”
Shen Zhi’s face instantly lost its previous smugness, her expression utterly spectacular. Especially as she approached Qin Huai to grab her wrist, the pheromones on her body expanded further.
The sandalwood scent in the air was much stronger than before.
Qin Huai secretly thought, This is bad. Alphas in their rut are impulsive, competitive, and highly aggressive, and the Alpha before her was like a sleeping beast suddenly awakened, its actions carrying a sense of uneasy probing toward the outside world.
Qin Huai knew that it was best not to speak at this moment.
But the Alpha was being petty, “Are my skills bad? Qin Huai, you need to explain clearly to me. Otherwise, don’t leave this door today. We’ll keep trying until you say you’re satisfied.”
Qin Huai still said nothing.
Shen Zhi exerted force on her wrist, pulling the Omega to face her, “Qin Huai, talk to me.”
“Whether your skills are good or bad is irrelevant to me now,” Qin Huai’s lips moved, a flash of urgency crossing her face, “Let go of me, I need to leave.”
“Where are you going?” Shen Zhi gripped the Omega’s slender wrist. “It’s my rut right now, and you are my Omega. Are you not planning to stay with me?”
“What madness are you indulging in?” Qin Huai raised her voice.
Shen Zhi’s previously sharp eyes suddenly dimmed, the corners of her eyes drooping slightly. Her round eyes widened slightly, seeming both incredulous and a little wronged, “You’re yelling at me?”
Qin Huai: “?”
“Jiejie (Sister/Older Sister).” Shen Zhi pressed her lips together, which made her eyes look bigger and sadder, “My foot really hurts.”
In the end, Qin Huai didn’t know if it was out of pity or some other reason that she stayed. The sandalwood scent in the air was carefully managed by its owner, not missing any place it should touch.
Qin Huai’s clothes had a faint hint of sandalwood, the scent mild and rich, not overwhelming. She was locked in the bedroom, the door secured from the outside.
And the Alpha who locked her was still in the living room waiting for food.
About half an hour later, Qin Huai closed her eyes and heard footsteps approaching, followed by the sound of the lock clicking. She opened her eyes, and the next second, the door opened from the outside.
“Jiejie, I bought some food.” Shen Zhi placed the meal on the nightstand. “Get up and eat quickly.”
Qin Huai closed her eyes and pulled the blanket over her body, “Just leave it there.”
“You haven’t eaten lunch yet.” Shen Zhi looked at the Omega buried under the dark blanket, a faint smile playing on her lips. Qin Huai in this state carried a strong domestic feeling, something only she could witness. “Get up quickly. I’ll feed you.”
Qin Huai opened her eyes in the darkness. Due to the lack of ventilation, her voice sounded listless, “No need.”
“Yes, there is.” Shen Zhi pulled back the corner of the blanket. Qin Huai, hiding under the covers, was still wearing the clothes she came in, her neatly styled hair a mess. “You must be uncomfortable wearing these, Jiejie. Let me get you a fresh set of clothes.”
Qin Huai didn’t have much fuss about her clothing, mostly favoring loose-fitting athletic wear. Today she was wearing a simple long-sleeved shirt and trousers, so she wasn’t necessarily uncomfortable under the blanket, just a little stuffy.
But none of these were major issues. Qin Huai tucked the long hair at her temples behind her ear, sat up on the bed, and said, “No need. I don’t want to eat, and I don’t want to change.”
Qin Huai’s original intention was that she didn’t have an appetite to eat, and wasn’t hot enough to change. But for some reason, the Alpha either deliberately misinterpreted her or had another motive. She stood up from the bed and pulled open the closet, “If Jiejie doesn’t want to eat, it must be because this food isn’t good.”
The wooden closet opened with a “swoosh,” followed by the sound of clothes being pushed aside.
Qin Huai sat up, one leg bent and the other straight, leaning against the headboard, quietly watching the Alpha’s back.
Compared to her, Shen Zhi’s muscles were very firm, especially when she had just taken off her messy clothes and changed into a tank top and sweatpants. Her shoulder and neck lines were smooth, her upper arm muscles tight, and particularly from behind, the black tank top outlined the beautiful lines of her shoulder blades, looking incredibly sexy.
Qin Huai watched for a long time, blinking occasionally.
“Don’t search anymore,” Qin Huai said, trying to stop her. “You know very well that even if I put on your clothes, I can’t be your Omega.”
Half the closet blocked her view, and Qin Huai didn’t know if Shen Zhi had paused, but she must have, because the Alpha’s exposed upper arm muscles were no longer moving.
Qin Huai continued, “Find a new Omega to like. We really aren’t compatible.”
“We are compatible.” After a long silence, Shen Zhi’s voice came across deep and low, stubbornly and desperately trying to prove something. “I can”
At this point, Shen Zhi’s voice suddenly stopped.
Qin Huai rested her hands on the pillow, smelling the pheromones in the air, her body exceptionally relaxed, “See? Even you don’t know what to say.”
Silence flowed out like a handful of water between her fingers.
“You’re still a child; you don’t know how to love someone,” Qin Huai said. “Things you find interesting and fun might not appeal to me, and things you find novel might bore me. This difference in age brings a lack of synchronicity.”
“Shen Zhi, I’m older than you, and these are things I should tell you.”
“If we part ways amicably now, maybe we can still say hello or share a meal if we meet in the future. But if we let things get ugly, you know my temper.”
The clothes in the closet were a mess. Shen Zhi raised her eyes, and the black-painted cabinet in front of her suddenly became blurry.
Shen Zhi stared at that spot, pressing her lips together again and again. But what good was suppressing it for so long? She still couldn’t stop the stinging in her nose.
It was precisely because she understood Qin Huai, and knew her temper, that she knew what Qin Huai’s bottom lines were. The previous talk of breaking up, no matter how much she pestered, Qin Huai could treat it like humoring a child. But now that the conversation had reached this point, she knew that Qin Huai wouldn’t coddle her anymore.
The person she had liked for so long was going to leave her.
Just thinking about it made her chest feel like it had been soaked in a sour, fizzy drink. But more than this pain, Shen Zhi was actually more afraid that Qin Huai would regret it.
Regret knowing her.
If she took a step back, maybe she could still see her back, but what if she didn’t even have the right to see her back?
Shen Zhi was suddenly afraid. She was afraid of Qin Huai blurting out the words, “I regret knowing you,” which would be worse than killing her.
After a long silence, just when Qin Huai thought Shen Zhi was about to say something else, the Alpha’s voice came out dry and rough from under the blanket, “Fine.”
Qin Huai looked up at her.
“Then can you promise to stay with me for a few more days?” Shen Zhi finally found her voice, seizing that thread and continuing to speak word by word, “Until my foot gets better.”
“I won’t bother you ever again.”
