Cheng Yue was just going out to buy cat food. While passing a fork in the road, a thick fog suddenly rose. Seconds later, he headed home carrying the cat food as usual. But he never expected that after walking past this street, everything would be different.
Every building towered into the clouds, the streets were wide, and the surroundings were incredibly strange. People were walking to and fro on the road; some had rabbit ears on their heads, and some had wolf tails behind them. Cheng Yue, wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts and holding cat food in his hand, was completely out of place with the tech-filled surroundings.
He was so frightened he stopped in his tracks. Looking around, he actually discovered a time projection not far away. The year 2155! Was this a prank, or were his eyes playing tricks on him??
Worst of all, the floating screen of a giant commercial building was broadcasting the news: The new Governor of the Federation has passed the vote and officially took office this month. Next to it was a poster showing the new Governor’s two forms. The man wore a black military uniform, his figure tall and upright, with the brim of his hat pressed very low, only revealing a sharp jawline. However, Cheng Yue’s attention was quickly captured by the animal form next to it. In the picture was a tall, powerful cheetah; its golden pupils were slightly narrow, faintly carrying impatience and indifference.
Cheng Yue froze. This! Isn’t this his family’s “cub” (pet)??
In the year 2135, a high fever swept the globe. A portion of humanity, after several days of high fever, experienced a “reversion” phenomenon, gaining their own animal forms. Even rarer were animals that evolved into humans. Humans or animals possessing these two forms were collectively given a new name: “New Humans.”
Since then, nations integrated and established the Federation. The New Humans leaped above ordinary humans, becoming the rulers of the Federation.
Cheng Yue is very afraid of his cat using its “demi-human” (half-beast) form. Usually, in that situation, he would be “disciplined” quite miserably. The man first unbuckles his belt. Just hearing the sound of the belt buckle makes Cheng Yue’s scalp go numb, wanting to turn and run. But how could he outrun the man? He would only be wrapped around the waist by a tail and tossed onto the bed.
The man likes to stuff his tail into [Cheng Yue’s] mouth, listening to his vague and broken cries. Then, he slowly reprimands him: “You got my tail dirty again.” “Lick it clean.”
