The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 58
Fortunately, the kitten hadn’t run far. When Qin Huai found it, it was quietly lying in a corner outside the cafeteria, its head lazily resting on its paws.
A small, weak kitten is most capable of capturing a soft spot in the heart. The kitten was already surrounded by a couple. The long haired Omega among them was half squatting, gently stroking the kitten’s head with one hand.
“It’s so cute,” the long haired Omega’s face was beaming with a bright smile. When her mouth curved up, her eyes turned into crescent moons. “Should we adopt one too?”
“The school doesn’t allow pets,” the Alpha curled his index finger and tucked the Omega’s loose long hair behind her ear, coaxing her tenderly, “We’ll move out after graduation, and you can have whatever cat you want.”
“You only know how to make empty promises,” the Omega’s eyes showed disappointment, and she didn’t look happy.
The Alpha patiently continued to coax her, “Baby, don’t be unhappy. How about this, I’ll take you to a cat café tonight, okay?”
“Okay.” With that, the Omega’s face regained its earlier smile, and she leaned in to lightly kiss the Alpha’s cheek. “Thank you, darling.”
Qin Huai stood quietly a short distance away, watching the couple. The sun was strong and glaring. She wasn’t afraid of the sun, but she instinctively squinted her eyes, watching the couple get up and leave.
As Qin Huai walked towards the pavilion with the sausage and the kitten in her arms, the sight of the couple’s interaction flashed in her mind.
Such a delicate, intimate way of getting along was something she had never experienced in any of her romantic relationships.
Before dating Lin Qiu, the other person had packaged herself as a gentle and understanding Alpha, someone seemingly capable of handling any situation with ease. After they got together, to maintain this persona, she tirelessly kept up the act.
Qin Huai was engrossed in experiments, focused only on her research project. When Lin Qiu occasionally hugged her, she would frown and avoid it.
Before starting this abnormal relationship with Shen Zhi, Shen Zhi had also always approached her, with three parts teasing and seven parts seriousness. But after this abnormal relationship began, it seemed there were no truly warm memories.
She didn’t know how to name this relationship, but she knew that from beginning to end, it only consisted of wet entanglement and the skin to skin warmth when they embraced.
This relationship should also be coming to an end.
Qin Huai walked up to the pavilion, tried mimicking a cat’s meow a few times, but didn’t see the cat. So she squatted down and continued to search for the cat in the bushes around the pavilion.
That cat was actually very naughty, always liking to use its claws to scratch Qin Huai’s fingers, but it was also particularly good at acting cute. The force of its scratches was never strong, like a massage. It was through its repeated acts of affection that Qin Huai began to hold the cat dear in her heart.
From breaking up with Lin Qiu to discovering her pheromone amnesia, quite a few things happened in between, causing her to gradually forget the cat’s existence. Now that she remembered it, Qin Huai was determined to find it and confirm its safety.
The pavilion was near the school’s artificial lake, surrounded by tall shrubs and grass. Qin Huai didn’t miss any detail and finally spotted an orange figure in a secluded corner by the artificial lake.
A look of joy crossed Qin Huai’s face, and she quickened her steps towards it, only to stop less than half a meter away.
She still held the sausage, half-opened. It was the only food the cat really liked. Whenever it saw her with it, it would always come closer on all fours and lift its front paws to beg her for it.
But now, the cat’s eyes were closed, its orange fur was matted and sticky, and its limbs lay rigidly on the ground.
At that moment, Qin Huai felt something in her heart drop and smash on the ground, leaving behind a mess.
Shen Zhi was organizing documents in the evening when her phone on the desk suddenly vibrated a few times.
She rubbed her eyes, feeling slightly fatigued, and picked up the phone to look.
【Qin Huai: Where are you?】
Shen Zhi raised an eyebrow, a little surprised, and after a moment’s hesitation, her fingers began to tap on the keyboard.
【Shen Xiaozhi: I’m at the rented apartment.】
【Qin Huai: I’m coming over.】
Shen Zhi looked at Qin Huai’s reply with a little surprise, the fatigue on her face instantly swept away by those four words. She stood up from the desk and began to tidy the bedroom.
Just after Shen Zhi tidied the room, the wind suddenly began to pick up outside the window, making the tree branches rustle. Shen Zhi guessed it was going to rain and was about to send a message reminding Qin Huai to bring an umbrella when a knock came at the door.
Shen Zhi turned off her phone, deliberately restraining the smile on her lips, and walked to the entrance to open the door.
“Why today” The door was violently pushed open by the Omega outside, then slammed shut with a “bang.” Before Shen Zhi could finish her sentence, her back was shoved against the wall by the Omega.
A flurry of dense kisses rained down. Shen Zhi could hardly believe that Qin Huai had initiated this. After a few seconds of (a short pause of astonishment), she reacted and took control, wrapping her arms around the Omega’s slender shoulders.
The sound of the wind was accompanied by the sound of kissing. Shen Zhi’s clothes were pulled down to her shoulders, exposing a stretch of her beautiful upper arm.
She wasn’t sure who had turned off the light, or perhaps Qin Huai had accidentally hit the switch when she pushed Shen Zhi. In the pitch black of the night, they embraced intimately.
When they separated, both their mouths were stained with moisture, indistinguishable as to whose wetness or whose redness.
“Huai Huai, what’s wrong with you today?” Shen Zhi ran one hand through Qin Huai’s hair, gently rubbing her fingertips against the scalp.
The numbness on Qin Huai’s lips hadn’t faded yet. Now, being massaged on her scalp, she comfortably narrowed her eyes. “Nothing.”
The room was filled with the sweet scent of oranges, the smell of the Omega’s pheromones. Shen Zhi’s hand slid down from the back of Qin Huai’s head to her nape. That area was smooth, and the most precious spot of the Omega did not have an inhibitor patch on it as usual.
“Huai Huai, what does this mean?” Shen Zhi sensed the pheromones in the air and knew the Omega in front of her had deliberately released them.
Qin Huai’s pheromones were like an invisible barrier to Alphas, preventing any Alpha from entering a period of estrus (rut), but if an Alpha were to launch a pheromone attack on her, it would cause the Omega in front of them to enter heat.
Qin Huai lowered her head. After Shen Zhi finished speaking, she tilted her neck back and kissed her throat, saying with half-closed eyes, “Aren’t you curious what it feels like to do it with me in heat?”
Shen Zhi remained silent, just staring at her quietly.
After Qin Huai finished speaking, she pulled her head back half a step, kissing her way from the Alpha’s collarbone down to her chest. “Then don’t suppress your pheromones, and mark me.”
As soon as the words left her mouth, the orange scent in the air grew heavier. Shen Zhi neither said yes nor no, but after the Omega spoke, she bit into the side of Qin Huai’s neck.
The scent of sandalwood aggressively surged over, like an invisible sack firmly wrapping around the person.
Qin Huai felt her body go from taut to soft, and her clothes go from dry to damp. She hovered on the edge of losing her mind, then was dominated by desire, her mind filled only with the Alpha in front of her.
Qin Huai did not lose the ability to think normally during this heat like she had before. On the contrary, she was very clear-headed and knew exactly what she was doing the entire time.
“Sister, want to try being tied up?” Shen Zhi whispered in Qin Huai’s ear.
Qin Huai didn’t speak, just looked at her quietly. Shen Zhi took this as consent, so she casually tore a strip from a piece of clothing and, without asking, tied it around Qin Huai’s wrists.
Having her hands and feet bound meant losing control over her body, regardless of what happened.
Qin Huai turned her eyes away, staring elsewhere.
Shen Zhi repeated these words in Qin Huai’s ear. When she noticed the Omega trying to escape, she would continue talking in her ear until Qin Huai couldn’t bear it anymore, and only then would she stop.
Afterwards, the smell in the room was intense, a mix of pheromones and other scents. After Shen Zhi changed the sheets, she lay on the bed, waiting for Qin Huai to emerge from the bathroom after her shower.
She lay in bed, resting her arm on the pillow, looking at the ceiling, her lips curving into a smile that she couldn’t suppress.
That matter was about to show results. Once there was an outcome, she would tell Qin Huai.
Just as Shen Zhi was thinking this, the phone on the bedside table vibrated twice. She casually turned her wrist, picked up the phone, and looked at it.
An unknown number had sent her a folder.
Shen Zhi immediately sat up in bed, leaning against the headboard, and carefully read the files. The content wasn’t extensive, but because it was interconnected and involved Qin Huai, Shen Zhi involuntarily slowed down.
After reviewing the contents, the smile on her lips reappeared. She replied simply and then turned off the screen.
【Shen Zhi: Well done. Keep tracking it.】
Shen Zhi wasn’t concerned with the reply from the other side. She was just waiting for Qin Huai to come out so she could tell her about the matter she had been preparing. That day at the hotel, she had seen Qin Huai chatting with those people alongside her mother. Although she didn’t know what they were talking about, Qin Huai’s constrained appearance seemed out of place in that setting. At that time, she thought, if she had the ability to find out, Qin Huai wouldn’t have to deal with strangers.
Hard work pays off. It wasn’t in vain that she “sold her looks” to get information from that Omega.
While Shen Zhi was contemplating, the bathroom door opened, and Qin Huai walked out with damp hair. She was only wrapped in a bath towel, her body bare. Her pale skin showed the clear outline of her bones, making her appear thin.
“Huai Huai, let me blow dry your hair,” Shen Zhi sat up in bed and leaned over the edge.
Qin Huai shook her head and abruptly pulled off the bath towel. “No need.”
Her thin body was exposed to the air. There was barely any flesh on her, and even her ribs were clearly visible under her armpits.
Qin Huai looked down, her wet eyelashes concealing much of her emotion. She used the damp towel to slowly dry her body, then casually tossed it on the floor.
Clothes were scattered on the floor. Qin Huai bent down to pick up her bra. The narrow straps pressed against her collarbone, sliding down the smooth line of her shoulder. She tried to fasten the back hooks with her hands behind her back but couldn’t seem to do it.
“Why are you getting dressed so late?” Shen Zhi asked.
Perhaps her wrists were tired, Qin Huai paused to rest, then resumed her previous action.
Shen Zhi watched clearly from behind. The hooks were either fastened incorrectly or not at all, sometimes accidentally poking into Qin Huai’s fingertips.
These situations had never happened before. Qin Huai had long arms and legs; fastening a bra clasp was never an issue for her.
So Shen Zhi watched with extra care. When she saw the Omega giving up on herself, attempting to tear off the bra, she took over the task. “Let me do it.”
With that simple sentence, the Omega relaxed her wrist.
Shen Zhi knelt on the bed, a smile appearing on her cheeks, her dimples subtly showing. She inhaled the faint sandalwood scent on the Omega, and in a remarkably good mood, she said, “Huai Huai, I have something to tell you.”
The Omega had her back to her, her shoulder blades tightening at those words.
Shen Zhi, however, thought she had tightened the strap, so she unfastened the previous hooks and re-hooked a different set.
“Let me speak first,” the Omega’s back was particularly beautiful, though a little too thin, lacking much flesh.
Shen Zhi didn’t mind who spoke first. After fastening the bra, she rested her hands on her sides, kneeling on the soft sheets, her dimples shallowly indenting.
Qin Huai turned around, looking straight into the Alpha’s eyes. The movement was particularly submissive, like a trained puppy waiting for its master’s command.
Qin Huai lowered her gaze, her eyelashes downcast. Shen Zhi lifted her chin with her right index finger, examining her carefully. No one spoke, only the gentle patter of rain outside the window.
The chill in the air gradually intensified.
After a long time, Qin Huai let go, lowered her eyelashes, and spoke as casually as always, her tone as light as white paper blown by the wind, “Let’s break up.”
