The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 50
When Qin Huai woke up, her body felt an unprecedented tightness.
The fresh scent of orange and the cold, solemn scent of sandalwood intertwined, scattering into every corner of the room. The light from outside the window was faint, and the clothes casually tossed onto the wooden floor had become hopelessly wrinkled after a night of being pressed.
Qin Huai struggled to stretch out her arm, wanting to reach the phone on the bedside table to check the time. As her arm emerged from the white duvet, it was immediately enveloped by another, slightly larger hand, accompanied by the alpha’s husky voice, “Sleep some more.”
“I have a meeting this afternoon,” Qin Huai rejected the suggestion without thinking.
The exchange meeting was scheduled for around three o’clock in the afternoon. Since it was an academic conference, for people at the top, even some insignificant small habits could determine their attitude.
Qin Huai had originally planned to get up at nine, organize the necessary materials, have lunch, and then put on some simple makeup before heading out.
But everything was disrupted by Shen Zhi.
The young alpha’s energy was simply too much compared to an omega’s. Even though she had slept in the same bed with Shen Zhi so many times, Qin Huai always felt thoroughly exhausted.
“No,” Shen Zhi refused with her eyes closed, her hands tightly wrapped around Qin Huai’s waist. “I want to sleep with you a little longer.”
“I’ll count to three,” Qin Huai was too lazy to argue with her and started counting down immediately. “Three.”
Shen Zhi’s head rested on Qin Huai’s chest, not moving.
“Two.”
Shen Zhi’s legs hooked over Qin Huai’s, her thigh occasionally brushing against Qin Huai’s skin.
Qin Huai closed her eyes. One hand pressed against Shen Zhi’s shoulder, and as she counted out “One,” her hands attempted to peel this clingy adhesive off of herself.
The alpha, who had just seemed drowsy, suddenly exerted force in her waist, flipped over, and pinned Qin Huai beneath her.
There was no sleepiness in her eyes; when her eye corners lifted, her gaze was excessively clear. She leaned down, her hands controlling Qin Huai’s arms above her head, and as she lowered her head, her long hair was lazy and casual.
“Sister, are you really going to abandon me?” The alpha spoke, her eyes staring straight into Qin Huai’s, with an overflowing sense of grievance when her eyelids drooped.
Qin Huai knew perfectly well the alpha on top of her was acting, yet she just couldn’t push her away.
The force with which the alpha controlled her arms wasn’t even that great.
It was her own lack of resolve.
Qin Huai sighed silently in her heart and offered a pale explanation, “No, the exchange meeting is in the afternoon. I need to prepare now, otherwise”
Before she finished speaking, her lips were kissed by the alpha.
More accurately, it was a touch rather than a kiss, as the contact was extremely innocent and clean, so much so that Qin Huai actually thought of the word ‘pure’ in that moment.
After the kiss, the alpha obediently got off Qin Huai, kneeling neatly by Qin Huai’s waist. “Sister, you have to work hard, or what will happen if you can’t afford to keep me?”
Such a statement of vulnerability sounded somewhat unreal coming from Shen Zhi’s mouth.
The alpha was wearing a tank top and sports shorts. There were scattered red marks on her collarbone, and the exposed back of her neck and arms also bore red scratches.
It looked suggestive just by looking at it.
Qin Huai had never encountered an alpha with so much dramatic flair. Having been thoroughly tormented, she had no choice but to say dismissively, “So, you should be more generous.”
Shen Zhi: “?”
Qin Huai threw back the covers and got out of bed. Even though the marks on her own body were equally obvious, the words that came out of her mouth made it sound like she was the one in control. “Otherwise, if Sister runs out of food, she can only sell you off.”
Shen Zhi: “!”
“You can’t!”
Qin Huai rubbed her trapezius muscle with one hand; the soreness was relieved somewhat. “Why not?”
“Secondhand goods aren’t valuable. I’m only willing to follow the original owner.”
Qin Huai: “.”
After a quick wash and changing her clothes, it was already eleven o’clock. Qin Huai sat down on the long sofa that came with the room and opened her laptop.
The sound of washing could faintly be heard from the bathroom. Qin Huai crossed her legs, her finger occasionally gliding over the mouse.
Just as Qin Huai confirmed the materials were correct and was about to close up to go for lunch, the WeChat notification suddenly rang.
It was a WeChat message from Han Yishuang.
Qin Huai glanced towards the bathroom. After a moment of hesitation, she decided to answer it.
“Junior, want to go out for lunch together?” Han Yishuang asked.
“No,” Qin Huai closed her laptop and refused. After saying it, she felt her reply might have been too abrupt, so she uncharacteristically explained, “I’m not very hungry.”
Han Yishuang seemed not to notice Qin Huai’s unusual behavior, letting out a burst of laughter. “I’m at your room door.”
Qin Huai: “?”
A crisp knock on the door sounded at the opportune moment.
Han Yishuang: “Open up, I brought food to come find you.”
