The White Moonlight Omega Has Amnesia and Always Tries to Seduce Me - Chapter 37
The white gauze curtain in front of the bay window was lifted high by the wind, making the room light flicker between bright and dim.
Qin Huai’s lower back was unexpectedly pushed by the alpha, and her body leaned forward into the room. Just as she was losing her balance and about to fall onto the good quality wool carpet, her wrist was tightly grasped by a large hand the next second.
In a dizzying spin, she was pressed against the bed by the alpha.
The large bed, which was two meters wide, was as soft as cotton, and the dark green bedding was so rich it seemed to drip with water. The omega’s knees rested on the edge of the bed, her calves dangling powerlessly. Her wrist was controlled by the alpha’s large hand, with blue veins spreading across her pale skin, appearing fragile and helpless.
Qin Huai’s usually indifferent face was rarely startled, and she tried to forcefully pull her wrist away, “Shen Zhi, let go of me.”
Alphas possess inherent advantages in certain matters. They don’t need special learning or explanation, because instinct drives the body to do certain things, such as possessing their own omega and leaving their scent on their omega.
Shen Zhi straddled Qin Huai’s thighs, burying her nose in her neck to take a light sniff, “Senior, what did you mean today?”
She was not driven by the heat period, nor had she completely lost her mind. This was the first time Qin Huai was physically overpowered by an alpha while fully awake. She was used to being in control of everything, with a demeanor of having things well in hand, and rarely found herself at the mercy of others like this.
A trace of embarrassment flashed across Qin Huai’s face, and she knitted her brows, “Get off me.”
The sandalwood pheromone slowly diffused, not fiercely, but like a shaking body of water.
Shen Zhi’s palm covered Qin Huai’s cold jawline, “Senior, that shirt doesn’t have your scent anymore. Give me a new one, okay?”
The alpha curved her lips, and the dimples on her cheeks made her look innocent and childish. Qin Huai stared at the dimples, her thoughts wandering, when did she give her a shirt?
“Last time during your heat, you were at my place.” Shen Zhi explained for her, and the hand on her jawline ran into her hair.
With just a few words of reminder from the alpha, Qin Huai immediately snapped back to the realization. Her last heat coincided with Shen Zhi’s sensitive period. Her clothes were a mess and couldn’t be worn, so she had to temporarily borrow one, and her original one was left at Shen Zhi’s house because of the hasty trip to the hospital.
Alphas in their sensitive period are impulsive, highly possessive, and their bodies feel like they are on fire, needing release. Qin Huai didn’t dare imagine how the alpha endured it back then, right after a temporary mark.
“Sister, that shirt can’t be worn anymore, I’ll buy you a new one, okay?” The alpha said while pulling down one side of Qin Huai’s collar, her eyes practically glued to it.
“No need.” The straight line of her shoulder shivered slightly due to the sudden cold air, Qin Huai said coldly, “Get off me first.”
“Senior, you’ve already entered my room. Everything here belongs to me, including you.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the alpha’s lips pressed onto Qin Huai’s shoulder, her soft tongue licking the skin there. The sound of liquid in her mouth smacked in the quiet room. Qin Huai felt like she was burning. When the alpha kissed her, half of her body suddenly went soft, and the calves hanging over the edge of the bed tingled.
A red mark appeared on the clean shoulder. Upon closer inspection, the mark was still glistening with ambiguous moisture.
The omega half-closed her eyes, turning her head to the other side. Shen Zhi’s lips touched the neckline and jawline, which were tightly strained, appearing cold and pure in the air.
Shen Zhi found the sight tempting, and as her lips were about to touch closer, she asked quietly, “Do you like me?”
No one answered.
The alpha plunged in, her voice hoarse and stubborn, “Do you like me?”
“Do you like me?”
The repeated questions finally made Qin Huai open her eyes. Her eyes were long and narrow, her eyelids thin and showing calmness, but now the corners of her eyes were red, hinting at an almost imperceptible impulse.
“No.” Qin Huai answered with wet lips.
The alpha’s head, buried in her neck, paused slightly, then she let out a low laugh, “No, you do like me.”
“If you don’t like me, why did you come to my house?”
“If you don’t like me, why were you nervous when you met my parents?”
“Admit it, you like me.”
With that, Shen Zhi pecked Qin Huai’s lips, “I like you.”
Shen Zhi usually wore a smiling face, her words three parts true and seven parts false, and Qin Huai never knew whether to believe her. But at this moment, hearing her say she liked her, her heart seemed to skip a beat. Her lips moved, her eyelashes drooped, and only the hand gripping the bedding finally loosened.
Just as Shen Zhi was about to lean in, the tightly closed bedroom door suddenly opened from the outside.
“Huaihuai, I”
The voice stopped abruptly, and Zhou Yue stood frozen, disbelievingly.
On the messy large bed, her daughter was kneeling on the omega’s waist, her face buried deep in the omega’s neck. Hearing the noise, Zhou Yue saw the alpha pulling Qin Huai’s upper body into her chest, the action filled with strong possessiveness.
Zhou Yue’s face immediately fell, and she glared fiercely at her daughter, “Come out with me.”
Then, the door slammed shut with a “bang.”
Shen Zhi sighed in relief, gently placing Qin Huai back on the bed, and with a mischievous streak, released all her pheromones. The sandalwood scent in the room surged like a tide.
“Stay here and wait for me.” Shen Zhi kissed Qin Huai’s forehead, “I’m going to talk to my mom.”
The confusion in Qin Huai’s eyes had long since dissipated, and her gaze returned to its usual calmness.
In the study on the second floor, as Shen Zhi opened the door, a book slapped against her body.
“Shen Zhi, you’re becoming more and more outrageous!” Zhou Yue’s face lacked its usual gentleness, and her tone was sharp.
Shen Zhi casually picked up the fallen book, looking lazy, “Who told you to enter my room without knocking?”
“Is that the issue with knocking?”
Zhou Yue’s study was filled with cabinets full of books, and even the desk was piled high. The alpha threw the book carelessly onto the top of a stack of books, leaned her waist against the desk edge, and rapped her knuckles on the desktop, “Yes, it is. Her marriage can only be with me, her children can only be mine, and whatever she wants to do, I’ll let her.”
Shen Zhi’s movements and tone were playful, but her eyes alone were firm. Zhou Yue sighed a long breath and sat in her chair, “Even if you two have a childhood engagement, it shouldn’t be so fast. Huaihuai still needs to go to school.”
“Whatever she wants.” Shen Zhi felt something was wrong mid-sentence, she frowned, resting her palm on the stack of books, and asked, “Mom, did you just say childhood engagement? Us?”
“Didn’t your dad tell you?” Zhou Yue took a sip of hot tea, her voice softening slightly, “You and Huaihuai were engaged when you were little.”
Shen Zhi: “?”
Zhou Yue glanced at her, placed the teacup on the desk, and said unhurriedly, “I have a very good relationship with Qin Huai’s mother. We agreed that if we gave birth to an Alpha and an Omega, we would engage them and become in-laws later. Although arranged marriages are not common now, I’m quite happy to see that the person you brought back is Qin Huai.”
Never having considered this possibility, Shen Zhi’s eyes widened, and the smile on her face was impossible to suppress, “Thank you, Mom, for picking a wife for me in advance.”
“How are you so sure Huaihuai will definitely marry you?”
Shen Zhi’s eyes curved up, and a shallow dimple appeared on her cheek. She said firmly, “She will. It’s better if she marries me, but if she has an alpha she likes, then I won’t get married either, and I’ll just watch her live her life.”
When Shen Zhi returned to the room, the joy in her heart was still impossible to hide.
In their recent interactions over the past few days, she was increasingly certain that Qin Huai liked her, or at least was a little moved. Just like that intentional reminder in the lab last time, Qin Huai simply couldn’t get past her own mental barrier.
She now only wanted to rush over and tell Qin Huai the whole truth.
She can kiss her. She can hug her.
No need to suppress and restrain.
Shen Zhi stood at the door of the room, took a deep breath, and then pushed the door open.
The area below the center of the large bed was slightly sunken, and the dark green bedding was pressed with ambiguous wrinkles. The person who should have been lying on the bed was now sitting on the bay window, barefoot and hugging her knees. The light outside the window was very bright, hitting the omega’s face and making her skin appear even paler. Her chin rested on her forearm, and she stared out the window.
Even hearing the sound, Qin Huai remained still.
Shen Zhi walked to the bay window, rested one leg on the ledge, and said with joy in her tone, “Huaihuai, “I”
Her words were interrupted directly by the omega.
Qin Huai blinked very slowly, her dark eyelashes casting a faint shadow under her eyelids, “We should keep our distance from now on.”
“Why?”
Qin Huai raised her chin, the line of her jawbone tensed and indifferent, “You have a fiancée.”
In the sunlight, Shen Zhi’s eyes narrowed slightly, then she raised her hand and pinched Qin Huai’s chin, “So what? We can have an affair.”
