The Villain Turned Out to Be a Scummy Omega? [GL] - Chapter 24
“It’s truly a miracle! The Eldest Miss is actually letting Miss Qingqing stay in her room, and the two of them haven’t come out for ages.”
“I know! In the past, the Eldest Miss would have picked Miss Qingqing up and thrown her out the door! She’d never spend time alone in a room with her.”
“Do you think it’s because Miss Qingqing is an Omega now that she’s being so gentle and considerate?”
“Probably not. Even though the Eldest Miss used to be cold to her, she clearly cared. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have made that bet about the bomb—that was dangerous business.”
“But she’s really being tender now. Do you think, like some people are guessing, that Miss Qingqing is actually the Eldest Miss’s child bride?”
“No more nonsense.” An older servant spoke up, rebuking them. The group of gossiping servants fell silent and dispersed, though one cute girl whispered to her friend, “They do make a good match, though, don’t they?”
“I never realized how beautiful Miss Qingqing was before. Because we thought she was an Alpha, her aura felt too weak, which made it hard to see her beauty. But now that we know she’s an Omega, that soft aura actually makes her features stand out more. She’s stunning.”
Inside the room, Lu Qinnian felt the same way. She was sitting at the foot of the bed, cradling Song Ziqing’s foot in her palms as she carefully applied medicine. It was really just a scrape, but the delicate skin was flushed red, making it a pitiable sight.
She looked up. Song Ziqing was sipping coffee, her lively eyes staring straight at her.
Lu Qinnian’s expression stiffened, and she knit her brows slightly. “Don’t drink coffee on my bed.”
Song Ziqing looked up and pouted. “You’re so mean. Kui-kui and Sister Gege would never say that.”
Lu Qinnian paused. Fine, forget it! If she spilled it, she’d just change the sheets. If the girl felt mistreated and called those two, those two idiots would probably ignore their filming contracts and overseas projects and rush back instantly. That would be even more annoying.
Watching Lu Qinnian as she silently lowered her head to tenderly apply the medicine and bandage her heel, Song Ziqing suddenly felt a strange sensation. As Lu Qinnian’s fingers brushed over her ankle and the top of her foot, that feeling only grew stronger.
“Niannian.”
“Hmm?” Lu Qinnian looked up, appearing confused by the girl’s unease. “What is it?”
“Do you… like me?”
The moment the words left her mouth, Lu Qinnian’s hand—which had been lingering on her ankle and stroking her foot recoiled instantly. She let out an unnatural, cold snort and set the girl’s foot down. Standing up with an icy expression, she shot a glance at the girl sitting on her bed, grinning while holding the hot coffee.
Those big, sparkling eyes were staring directly at her, their gaze making her take a small step back. She swallowed hard, then turned and fled the room like she was escaping a fire.
As the door clicked shut, she threw back a cold sentence: “Get some rest.”
Song Ziqing blinked in confusion. She looked down at the coffee in her hand, rolled her eyes, and mimicked Lu Qinnian by letting out a cold snort and shrugging her shoulders.
“If you don’t like me, just say so. What’s with all the huffing?”
Lu Qinnian stood outside her house, unable to calm down for a long time. She pressed a hand against her racing heart, trying to steady it.
In the past, she had only viewed Song Ziqing as an Alpha with a weak aura, so she thought she was ordinary and never paid her any mind.
But ever since she found out she was an Omega, that “weak” aura had turned into something soft and inviting, making her look incredibly alluring. Especially when she stared with those innocent, sparkling eyes, Lu Qinnian’s calm heart would be thrown into complete chaos in an instant.
Is this just another scheme by this little wolf? Lu Qinnian frowned.
A nearby servant cleaning up took one look at her and quickly shrank back, afraid of provoking her.
Lu Qinnian looked over. “Follow me to clean Song Ziqing’s room.”
The servant jumped and nodded quickly, following along.
The moment she opened the door to Song Ziqing’s room, Lu Qinnian’s face turned grim, and the surrounding temperature plummeted.
The room looked as though it had been ransacked. It was a complete mess; high heels were scattered on the floor, Song Ziqing’s favorite blue scarf was tossed aside, and her limited-edition bags were strewn about with footprints on them.
“What happened here?” Her voice was dangerously low, sounding as if the words were being ground between her teeth.
The servant shivered, not daring to hide a single detail. “Miss Xie helped Miss Qingqing pack that day. We were all outside the door.”
Lu Qinnian’s face was dark. She knew Xie Muqing was petty and couldn’t stand any Omega near her who posed a threat, but she hadn’t realized her pettiness went this far. To be so classless and arrogant as to touch someone in her home!
Lu Qinnian turned and left with a cold face. “There’s no need to tidy the mess. Throw it all away. I’ll buy her new ones.”
The servant froze, then quickly replied, “Yes, Miss.”
Watching Lu Qinnian’s proud, solitary back as she walked away, the servant scratched her head and whispered, “Was the Eldest Miss always this good to Miss Qingqing?”
She hurried inside, looking at the mess of clothes, shoes, and bags. “What was Xie Muqing thinking? This wasn’t packing; this was a home demolition!”
Lu Qinnian intended to head to the office, but then decided to change her clothes. However, with Song Ziqing lying on her bed, it felt strange to go in and change. Even though there was a partition, it felt odd. She sniffed her clothes. “Tsk.”
A servant caught a glimpse of her and looked stunned. Lu Qinnian immediately composed herself and went back into the room to change.
As she pushed the door open, she saw Song Ziqing sitting on the bed on a video call. The screen showed a beautiful woman with short hair who looked very young—Song Ziqing’s mother.
Seeing the mother and daughter chatting happily, Lu Qinnian went straight into the walk-in wardrobe.
Mother Song: “Daughter, who just went in?”
Song Ziqing looked back and shook her head. “No one, you must have seen wrong.”
“Oh…” Mother Song continued giving her daughter advice, mostly warning her to be wary of Alphas. She told her not to have children with them easily, not to let herself be marked, and to be especially careful of the Omegas around those Alphas. She warned that their jealousy was fierce and their schemes were hard to guard against.
Song Ziqing’s head spun as she listened, but she kept nodding in agreement.
Suddenly, Mother Song’s tone shifted, and she lowered her voice. “Daughter, what do you think of those girls in the Lu family?”
Song Ziqing looked up, blinking in confusion.
As someone who had seen it all, Mother Song grinned. “I know them quite well. If we’re talking about compatibility and ability, Lu Qinnian is actually a very good choice.”
Inside the wardrobe, Lu Qinnian was changing. Hearing her own name, her movements slowed. She took a couple of steps back, leaning closer to the door to hear better.
Song Ziqing looked disgusted. “What’s so good about Lu Qinnian?”
“She’s exceptionally capable and an S-rank Alpha. According to your old lady’s knowledge, these ‘wooden’ Alphas are actually the best in bed.”
Lu Qinnian’s eyebrows shot up. For the first time, she wasn’t offended by such a blunt comment; instead, a look of delight crossed her face.
Song Ziqing clicked her tongue. “How can you be so shameless?”
Mother Song let out a hearty laugh. “I’m just worried you’re too naive and will be tricked by some random Alpha. I’m just doing a pure analysis for you.”
“Fine, fine. Go ahead with your analysis,” Song Ziqing said with a curious smile.
Mother Song grinned. “So, Lu Qinnian is the most suitable for marriage and children. She has money and power, and she’ll make sure you’re very ‘comfortable’ in bed.”
“Okay, okay! Next one,” Song Ziqing interrupted quickly.
In the wardrobe, Lu Qinnian’s expression froze. Why does it sound like Song Ziqing doesn’t want to hear it? Does she really hate me that much? Is it because I was too cold to her in the past?
Mother Song continued, “Lu Kui… she’s too artsy and always suppressed by Lu Qinnian, so she doesn’t have much of a say. But she’s very caring and considerate; she’d be good for dating.”
“As for Lu Ge, I really like that kid. She’s a bit of a flirt, but dating her would definitely be fun. She’d take you to experience all sorts of new things.”
Song Ziqing laughed. It wasn’t entirely wrong.
Lu Qinnian was about to open the door and walk out when Mother Song made another startling statement.
“So, the conclusion is: marry Lu Qinnian, date Lu Kui and Lu Ge, and oh—there’s also that girl from the Yan family, Yan Hui. That eldest daughter is truly a masterpiece. You could have an affair with her at the same time. It would be absolutely thrilling.”
Song Ziqing was speechless. “What kind of ‘trashy woman’ manifesto is this?!”
Just then, Mother Song’s expression froze as she looked toward the wardrobe behind her daughter.
Song Ziqing turned around. Lu Qinnian was standing there with a calm expression. She tilted the corners of her mouth into a very “friendly” smile. “I’m going to work now.”
She nodded to the screen. “Goodbye, Auntie.”
It wasn’t until the door clicked shut that Mother Song recovered. “You don’t think she heard that, do you?”
I’m dead! Recalling Lu Qinnian’s “friendly” smile sent a chill down Song Ziqing’s spine. She definitely heard everything!
