- The Villain Turned Out to Be a Scummy Omega? [GL]
- Chapter 19 - She Definitely Did It on Purpose
The heavy bass of the party music echoed through the hall, but the crowd had fallen deathly silent. It took a long while before anyone managed to find their voice.
“Song Ziqing… isn’t an Alpha?!”
“But she’s always hung out with Alphas?”
“The Lu family are all elite Alphas, and every single one of them is S-rank. What was her motive for hiding her identity as an Omega just to stay with them?”
“No wonder she’s so beautiful. I always felt her beauty didn’t have that aggressive edge typical of an Alpha!”
“And here I thought I’d actually developed feelings for an Alpha… turns out she wasn’t one!”
“Seriously, an Omega staying right next to those elite Alphas? She probably wanted to use her position to get an advantage. How shameless!” The person saying this instinctively glanced toward Xie Muqing.
Everyone knew the score: any Omega who tried to get close to Lu Qinnian would inevitably be dealt with by Xie Muqing until they fled in terror.
No one expected that Xie Muqing, who never missed her mark, would be fooled by someone right under her nose. The only question now was whether Lu Qinnian knew about Song Ziqing’s identity. If she didn’t, what kind of expression would she have now?
Inside the elevator, Lu Qinnian took a step forward. She reached out, grabbed Song Ziqing’s arm, and yanked her into the lift. With one hand supporting the girl’s limp waist, she sent a sharp kick toward the dazed Yan Hui.
Yan Hui stumbled back, only able to watch as Lu Qinnian pulled the girl into her embrace and pressed the button. Song Ziqing, tossed about by the movement, knit her brows in displeasure and looked up at Lu Qinnian.
The moment the doors closed, Yan Hui snapped out of it and lunged forward, frantically pressing the button, but it was too late. She kicked the wall in a fit of rage. “Lu Qinnian!”
“Lu Qinnian?” Song Ziqing’s face was flushed, her eyes misty as she looked at the person in front of her. She hung from the woman’s arm like a deflated balloon.
Lu Qinnian looked down, her face dark and somber. she reached out to support the girl’s back, pressing her closer into her chest.
Song Ziqing bumped against her shoulder, looking momentarily startled before leaning limply into the embrace. Her hands moved restlessly up Lu Qinnian’s arm, fumbling upward until they reached her shoulder, where her fingers began to toy with a few stray locks of hair.
Lu Qinnian stole a glance at her, then looked at the person nuzzling into the crook of her neck. Those thick pheromones left no doubt that she had fallen into someone’s trap. She didn’t expect Yan Hui to stoop so low as to use such filthy tactics just to get her hands on the girl.
Lu Qinnian only regretted that her kick just now had been too light. This Yan Hui had actually brought her sordid schemes right to the Lu family’s doorstep!
Suddenly, Lu Qinnian froze. A warm, tender palm brushed against her cool neck. Song Ziqing’s fingers were no longer satisfied with playing with hair; they moved to caress her neck, her fingers restlessly tracing the curve of Lu Qinnian’s earlobe.
Lu Qinnian felt her blood surge instantly, her entire body tingling as if struck by an electric current. She had always prided herself on her iron self-control; even those potent S-rank Omega pheromones hadn’t immediately broken her resolve. But this touch… it made her lose control of her own pheromones in an instant.
Song Ziqing leaned in with a satisfied hum, greedily inhaling the scent at the woman’s neck. It was crisp and clean, like the smell of pine and cypress on a snowy peak as the ice began to melt. Song Ziqing found it incredibly soothing; her body, which felt as though ants were crawling over it, received a momentary sense of peace.
This was vastly different from Yan Hui. Although Yan Hui’s pheromones were strong, they hadn’t calmed her. But Lu Qinnian was different; she seemed to settle her spirit instantly.
Song Ziqing looked up, her clear eyes now clouded with an intense desire. Her fair cheeks were flushed, and her cherry-red lips were slightly parted as she gazed at the person before her.
Lu Qinnian’s heart skipped a beat. Her arm, wrapped around the girl, turned stiff. She swallowed hard, staring intently at the person in her arms.
One of Song Ziqing’s hands remained on her neck, while the other moved shamelessly to stroke her waist.
Lu Qinnian shivered again. Song Ziqing watched her with burning eyes, a playful, triumphant smile dancing on her lips. The hand on the woman’s waist grew even more daring, teasing the proud and cold Lu Qinnian.
Perhaps it was because the pheromones were too concentrated in the small space, or perhaps it was because those warm, soft hands were far too skilled at flirting, but Lu Qinnian’s breathing became ragged. She opened her mouth to speak but then lowered her head toward that captivating face.
Their eyes met, separated by a mere breath. Suddenly, Song Ziqing turned away, letting out a soft, limp whimper in her arms. “Niannian… I feel so bad…”
Lu Qinnian: “…”
She did it on purpose! Lu Qinnian’s heart was hammering wildly against her ribs from the provocation. Her remaining shred of logic told her that Song Ziqing was absolutely, intentionally teasing her!
