Chapter 25: I Want To Big Brother’s Large Hands Grip His Hips
Lu Yunchuan had already made up his mind: no matter what, he could not cross the line with his brother. Currently, they had only kissed, so there was still room for redemption. If they went any further, there would be no going back for him and Fu Xici.
He wouldn’t have the face to stay in the Fu family. Even if he didn’t want to leave, he would be forced to.
After some mental preparation on how to reject his brother, he got up to open the door.
Fu Xici stood outside holding his pillow, wearing long-sleeved pajamas. When the door opened, his gaze lingered on Lu Yunchuan’s face for only a few seconds before he pushed past him, walked into the bedroom, silently placed his pillow on the bed, and lay down.
The words Lu Yunchuan had prepared got stuck in his throat. After staring at him for a moment, he had to close the door and ask, “Are you sleeping here tonight?”
Fu Xici simply hummed in response, pulled Lu Yunchuan’s blanket over himself, and closed his eyes.
Seeing that he truly just wanted to sleep, Lu Yunchuan said nothing more. He returned to his desk to finish his problems until past eleven. After tidying his homework and showering, he found Fu Xici already fast asleep.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, he looked at his brother’s face for a long time, his heart full of mixed emotions. He didn’t know how to handle this relationship. No matter how he tried to persuade him, Fu Xici wouldn’t listen. It was the first time he had seen his brother so stubborn and obsessed. He wondered: How much does he actually like me?
Unable to figure it out, he quietly climbed into the other side of the bed, turned off the light, and lay down at a distance, not even daring to pull at the blanket. In the past, he would have crawled into Fu Xici’s arms, but now he didn’t dare.
The Pact for the Future
As Lu Yunchuan lay there thinking about the consequences of their “immoral” bond, Fu Xici suddenly rolled over and pulled him into his arms. Lu Yunchuan froze, holding his breath.
Fu Xici simply tucked him in and murmured sleepily, “Sleep.”
Tucked against his chest, Lu Yunchuan’s heart hammered harder with every beat. He couldn’t distinguish his feelings anymore. Before the confession, everything felt natural. Now, after two kisses, his mindset had shifted. Though his emotional transition was slow, it wasn’t non-existent.
The next morning, Lu Yunchuan woke up to find Fu Xici buttoning his pajamas. He decided to be honest. “Brother… I think it’s better if we’re clear. I’m at the most important stage of my life. Whether I can change my fate depends on this year. I don’t want you to affect me. Give me time—until after the college entrance exams, okay?”
After a long silence, Fu Xici nodded. “Okay.”
Later, Fu Xici sent a WeChat: Just focus on your studies. I won’t be a burden. I said I’d wait, and I can wait a year. Your future is more important than anything. Keep going.
The Parent-Teacher Conference
Half a semester passed peacefully. It was winter, and Beijing was covered in a thick blanket of snow. Lu Yunchuan’s grades had broken into the top ten of his grade.
When the school organized a parent-teacher conference, Lu Yunchuan was in a bind. His father was too busy, and his mother was attending for the other siblings. He messaged Fu Xici, who immediately replied: I’ll go.
At the school, the wealthy parents were busy comparing jewelry and their children’s grades. Lu Yunchuan brought Fu Xici to his seat. Fu Xici, in a black suit with his hair slicked back, looked remarkably like their father.
During the meeting, the teacher, Ms. Liu, praised Lu Yunchuan’s incredible progress. However, a man in the room spoke up mockingly: “Is his throat just sore? Isn’t the eldest Fu son a fool? Everyone knows he can’t speak; what could he possibly have to say?”
Jiang Wangyue, Lu Yunchuan’s adoptive mother, slammed the table and stood up. “Who are you calling a fool? Say it again!” She fiercely defended Fu Xici, forcing the man to apologize.
Fu Xici remained expressionless. He wasn’t there for them; he was there to be a part of Lu Yunchuan’s youth.
The Breaking Point
After school, Lu Yunchuan bought a cake for Fu Xici, feeling guilty about the insults his brother endured. When he got home, Fu Xici was sitting on the sofa.
“Brother, I’m sorry you had to deal with that again,” Lu Yunchuan said, handing him the cake. “Eat something sweet; it’ll make you feel better.”
Fu Xici set the cake aside, pulled Lu Yunchuan onto his lap, and wrapped his arms around him. Lu Yunchuan tried to resist but was held firm. He reached up to lift his brother’s head, only to feel something cold and wet.
Fu Xici was crying.
Lu Yunchuan panicked, wiping the tears away. “I love you, I really do! Don’t cry, I never said I didn’t love you…”
Fu Xici’s eyes were red as he looked at him. Lu Yunchuan’s own eyes welled up. “Does it have to be that kind of love? What happens later? Mom and Dad will never agree…”
Fu Xici pressed his hand against the back of Lu Yunchuan’s neck, pulling him down. “I don’t care.”
“It will be a path of no return,” Lu Yunchuan exhaled heavily.
Fu Xici looked up and kissed him, blocking any further words. This time, Lu Yunchuan didn’t refuse. He responded gently, his heart ready to jump out of his chest. He realized he had finally surrendered to Fu Xici’s pursuit.
His feelings had changed. He wanted to love Fu Xici as a lover.
He straddled Fu Xici’s lap, pinning his brother against the back of the sofa, and whispered: “You can kiss, you can hug, you can touch… but you can’t do ‘it’.”
Fu Xici’s large hands gripped his hips tightly, his eyes filled with obsession. “I want to do it.
