- The Top-Tier School Hunk Has Been Targeted by the Cold CEO
- Chapter 10 - Quite Good Luck
Lin Heng noticed his gaze and smiled triumphantly.
“How about it? I told you that waist is top-tier, did I not?”
Bai Yang did not answer. He only asked in a cold voice, “This video, where did it come from?”
Lin Heng replied, “I planted a mole in the dining bar next door to keep track of the competitors’ movements at all times.”
In their line of work, freshness is everything. Whatever new or interesting gimmick appears, they have to keep up with it immediately.
Bai Yang’s gaze darkened slightly. He raised his glass, finished his drink in one gulp, and then picked up his jacket and stood up.
Lin Heng did not react in time and asked blankly, “Where are you going?”
Bai Yang said indifferently, “I am hungry. I am going to the dining bar next door to get something to eat.”
Lin Heng: “???”
Even though he ran a bar, it was not as if he could not provide a bite to eat. However, Lin Heng soon seemed to realize something and quickly stood up to follow.
“Old Bai, if you like what you see, just say so. I am your brother and would not compete with you, so why act so mysterious?”
In the internet age, the speed of information transmission always exceeds one’s imagination.
It was just a video of less than a minute, but in a short half hour, it had attracted a large number of customers to the dining bar. Most of them were people already hanging out on that street; being close by, they flocked in after seeing the video.
At first, Yan Xun was able to continue being a dancing waiter. But seeing that every seat in the dining bar was occupied, the owner personally found him.
“Xiao Yan, look. So many customers came just to see you. If we can capture this wave of traffic, our restaurant’s reputation will definitely take off.”
The owner winked at Brother Liu, who took over the conversation to persuade him.
“The boss’s idea is, can you participate in the next round of the card mission activity?”
Fearing that Yan Xun would not agree, the owner simply threw out the bait. “If you participate, I will increase your bonus by two thousand. How about it?”
Under a heavy reward, there will surely be a brave soul. Sure enough, as soon as the owner spoke, Yan Xun began to waver.
This card mission activity had three rounds every night, and two rounds had already been carried out. Yan Xun had also observed that the missions his colleagues drew were indeed not difficult: singing, dancing, or mimicking a cat. In short, there was no physical contact with the customers. It was indeed just a small game to liven up the atmosphere, just as Brother Liu had said.
Thinking of this, Yan Xun finally agreed.
After the owner left, Yan Xun asked, “Brother Liu, what is the most intense mission in this game?” He had to see where the limit was.
Brother Liu thought for a moment. “The most intense one should be sitting in a guest’s lap to drink a cross-cupped wine?”
Cross-cupped wine? What era was this? How tacky! The owner’s taste was truly hard to describe.
However, Yan Xun thought about that scene. If it were a pretty girl, he might be able to accept it, but he feared the customer would not be willing. But if it were a male guest, Yan Xun shuddered. That would be quite creepy. He did not dare think about it!
Brother Liu said, “Do not worry. There are a hundred small mission cards; it is not that easy to draw that one.”
As it turned out, the law of how things develop is that whatever you fear most is exactly what will happen.
Amidst the cheers of all the customers, Yan Xun magnificently drew that one-percent probability mission card.
Mission: Drink a cross-cupped wine with the 365th customer to enter tonight. You must sit in their lap to drink!
As the host finished reading the mission content, the electronic screen began to quickly replay the video footage of the entrance.
“362, 363, 364!” The host shouted the numbers loudly, and the customers followed along frantically. The atmosphere was heated, and the mood was tense.
Until the screen stopped and the host shouted excitedly, “It is this lucky customer! Number 365!”
When a tall, long-legged silhouette appeared on the screen, the originally noisy scene fell deathly silent. For no other reason than this number 365 who just walked in was far too handsome!
After three seconds of silence, when the screams erupted again, the volume was far louder than before.
Amidst the deafening screams, Yan Xun was the only one who was completely stunned. When he saw that number 365 was a man, he was so scared that his vision went dark. But looking closely, he felt the person looked familiar. Looking again, what a coincidence, it was an acquaintance.
Bai Yang!
If it were him, then this mission was in the bag! Yan Xun breathed a sigh of relief imperceptibly. He could not accept sitting on a strange man’s lap to drink, but if it was sitting on his buddy’s lap for a drink, it did not matter.
Usually in the dorm, let alone cross-cupped wine, when they got drunk at parties, those idiots might even hug and peck each other on the cheek. Between brothers, what did this bit of playing around matter?
The lights soon found Bai Yang, who was leaning lazily against a sofa in the corner. He was playing with a lighter in his hand, his face expressionless as he looked into the distance. Across the crowd, his gaze met Yan Xun’s for a fleeting moment.
Lin Heng, sitting beside Bai Yang, furrowed his brows. Others did not know, but he was well aware. Bai Yang detested these things that actively clung to him, especially in front of so many people; he would never be willing to be the center of attention. Bringing Bai Yang out today was to help him relax, not to annoy him. If this man were truly provoked, let alone this bar, even Lin Heng might not be able to handle the fallout.
Seeing Yan Xun walking over with a wine glass amidst the crowd’s cheering, Lin Heng prepared to stand up and stop him.
“Sit down,” Bai Yang said nonchalantly, his voice carrying a hint of chill.
Lin Heng was startled, hesitated for a moment, and then sat back down gloomily.
Yan Xun walked up to Bai Yang with the wine glass, bowed slightly, and asked with a smile, “Brother, can I have a drink with you?”
As he spoke, Yan Xun secretly winked at Bai Yang. Who knew that Bai Yang would act as if he had not seen it, instead staring at him with a cold gaze.
His reaction made Yan Xun start to feel anxious. No way, the last time he saw Bai Yang, was he not quite easy to talk to? Why did he seem like a different person now, with a cold, distant attitude that kept people a thousand miles away?
Just as Yan Xun’s eyes were about to twitch from winking so much, Bai Yang spoke. He looked up at Yan Xun and asked with a half-smile, “You certainly are quite enthusiastic.”
Yan Xun: “???”
What was the situation? What did Bai Yang mean?
Before he could figure it out, he saw Bai Yang raise his hand and grab his wrist. With a slight pull, he dragged him into his lap. Yan Xun fell onto Bai Yang and felt a bit of an itch near his ear.
In the next second, he heard Bai Yang say in a lowered voice, “Is this how you usually do your part-time jobs?”
Yan Xun was stunned.
Bai Yang’s tone became increasingly gloomy. “To complete a mission, you can casually sit in a strange man’s lap and drink cross-cupped wine with him?”
Without waiting for Yan Xun to answer, the hand that originally held his wrist slid naturally to his waist.
Bai Yang asked coldly, “Did you not say that men with men is disgusting? What, for money, it is no longer disgusting?”
