“I was just afraid of making you worry. You are already dealing with this framing incident here, so you must be in a bad mood. If I told you what happened to me on top of that, it would only add to your anxiety. I wanted to wait until we got back in a few days to tell you.”

With every sentence Jiang Ningxun spoke, Song Shidu moved an inch closer. Jiang Ningxun slowly reclined onto the bed until he was completely pinned beneath the other man. Unable to withstand the intensity of that predatory gaze, he tilted his head slightly. “I, I am finished speaking. I am perfectly fine now.”

The man above him said nothing.

Jiang Ningxun felt uneasy and kept glancing at him. “Ahem, I have explained everything. I am really not hiding anything else.”

He thought Song Shidu would be unhappy or even angry, but instead, the man collapsed onto him like he was hugging a giant plush doll. His voice was muffled. “I regret going on this business trip. Baby, I am not going away anymore. I will just stay by your side, okay?”

Hearing this, Jiang Ningxun’s heart softened instantly. He feigned dissatisfaction. “Do you still remember that you are a wolf? This level of clinginess is too much!”

Jiang Ningxun lay on the bed like a lamb awaiting slaughter, speaking weakly. “I, that, I still need some more time before I can do that.”
