The Seductive Succubus Always Abandons After Playing (Quick Transmigration) - Chapter 21.2
This was his second move: a show of loyalty to soothe Pei Yingjue. This should be affectionate enough. “Are you willing?” Su Yi asked sincerely.
Pei Yingjue’s breathing grew heavy. Su Yi watched him quietly. Suddenly, Pei Yingjue grabbed his hand, Su Yi smirked, and the bathroom door slammed shut.
When the shower was turned on, warm water cascaded down. Su Yi was pressed into the bathtub and kissed. It was fierce and violent. Pei Yingjue pinched Su Yi’s chin, held his waist, and kissed him until they were both soaked.
It was more intense than ever before, almost rivaling a rut. Su Yi sobbed as he was pressed against a full-length mirror. Between the heat and the cold, he tried to struggle in vain, his small horns clattering against the glass.
“Mmph!”
It came forcefully. Su Yi tried to hide, but his face was turned back, forcing him to meet those eyes in the mirror that were dark to the extreme.
“Did you not say you wanted to see for yourself?” Pei Yingjue grabbed Su Yi’s hand and slid it down the mirror, intending to press it against a certain spot.
“Pei Yingjue!”
Su Yi suddenly arched his back.
The mirror was stained.
Pei Yingjue turned him around and kissed him. “You are beautiful.”
Su Yi shook uncontrollably. On the verge of losing consciousness, he thought he heard Pei Yingjue’s obsessed whisper.
“I love you, Su Yi. I love you.”
Pei Yingjue put down his phone. Outside the coffee shop, a red-haired man approached quickly.
“Welcome, sir. What can I get for you?”
“A latte, sent to that table,” the man said, waving toward Pei Yingjue.
“All right.”
After ordering, the man strode over to Pei Yingjue, sat down abruptly, and grabbed Pei’s water glass, gulping it down.
“Refreshing! You have no idea how long I worked just to get this to you,” Chen Liao said, sliding a small box across the table.
“Thanks. I will work for you for free for a month in return,” Pei Yingjue said, opening the box to inspect its contents.
“That is more like it. I am telling you, though this designer is not famous, his craftsmanship is excellent. He only agreed to polish this because he valued the raw stone. It really is beautiful. Who do you plan to give it to?” Chen Liao raised an eyebrow.
Pei Yingjue closed the lid and tucked it away. “My boyfriend.”
“What!”
Chen Liao choked, coughing as his face turned bright red. He looked at Pei Yingjue in disbelief. “Even someone like you found a partner?”
Pei Yingjue glanced at him. “What do you mean, someone like me?”
“You have the personality of a brick. When you worked for me, so many customers tried to hit on you. At first, you refused them; later, you just acted like a mute. I thought you would be alone forever,” Chen Liao tutted.
“Dealing with them is troublesome,” Pei Yingjue replied.
“And dealing with your partner is not?” Chen Liao teased.
Pei Yingjue did not argue.
“Is your gland healed?” Chen Liao asked. “You have not picked up medicine from me in nearly three months.”
Chen Liao was a miser who only took and never gave, doing any job in the underground market to save money, including reselling medicine. Since they were acquaintances, Pei Yingjue used to get his suppressants from him at a discount.
“It is healed.” Pei Yingjue opened a photo on his phone and pushed it over. “Yesterday’s checkup results.”
The photo showed a diagnostic report stating that Pei Yingjue’s pheromone concentration had stabilized at a normal level.
“Not easy. So, you are going to be a League newcomer soon?” Chen Liao asked.
“Yes. Three departments have sent invitations. I have not chosen yet,” Pei Yingjue said, taking back his phone.
Chen Liao glared at him. “Stop showing off. I am sleep-deprived and prone to violence.”
“Thank you,” Pei Yingjue said suddenly and seriously. “Whether before or now, I would not have reached this point without you.”
Chen Liao froze. He punched Pei Yingjue’s shoulder hard. “What are you saying? You are making me think this is a Hongmen Banquet. Like you are going to arrest me as a tribute after this meal.”
Though he joked, Chen Liao’s voice betrayed a hint of emotion. When he first met Pei Yingjue, the boy was only fourteen or fifteen, unable to afford food and as thin as a monkey. Fearing the boy would starve to death at his doorstep, Chen Liao had risked arrest to give him a job.
After all these years, he looked at Pei Yingjue like a younger brother.
“When will you take me to meet your boyfriend?” Chen Liao changed the subject, afraid he would cry.
Pei Yingjue’s expression softened. “I have not told him about my past yet.”
Chen Liao sensed something. “Is his status high?”
“Yes,” Pei Yingjue answered.
“How high? He cannot be from that family at the auction,” Chen Liao stopped mid-sentence because Pei Yingjue did not deny it. If the partner were a commoner, there would be no reason for Pei Yingjue to hide his past.
Chen Liao felt uneasy. He glanced at Pei Yingjue. “Did he pursue you?”
“Yes.”
Chen Liao felt even worse. Many noble profligates liked to find poor people for a taste of something different under the guise of salvation, only to discard them shortly after.
“He is not that kind of person,” Pei Yingjue said firmly, reading his mind. “He lived with me for a long time in that shabby room you hate.”
Chen Liao paused. He remained anxious, but seeing Pei Yingjue’s resolve, he figured someone as smart as Pei would not be easily fooled.
“Any progress on the jade pendant?” Chen Liao asked.
Pei Yingjue’s expression turned cold. “I do not want to investigate that anymore.”
Chen Liao was stunned. “You are stopping? You worked so hard, pulled so many favors. Why stop now?” He knew Pei’s obsession with that matter was deep.
“It is no longer necessary.”
Knock, knock, knock.
A boy stood outside the glass window. He wore a brown scarf that covered half his face, leaving only his upturned eyes to curve into a smile. Chen Liao recognized that scarf; it was Pei Yingjue’s.
Chen Liao looked back at Pei Yingjue and froze. Usually, Pei Yingjue seemed covered in a layer of mist, but now, the clouds had cleared.
Chen Liao understood. Pei Yingjue was no longer obsessed because his obsession had been replaced by something else.
Su Yi signaled to Pei Yingjue and walked toward the entrance. He had just finished submitting forms at the academy and intended to buy a new dessert on the next street, only to spot Pei Yingjue through the window. He did not recognize the man sitting across from Pei.
Su Yi squinted and walked into the shop. As he reached the table, the man with the buzz cut spoke first.
“I am a beta.”
Su Yi paused, then his expression relaxed.
“This is Chen Liao, my friend,” Pei Yingjue said, standing up to let Su Yi take the inner seat.
Su Yi smiled at Chen Liao. “Hello, I am a friend of Student Pei. I was just passing by.”
Chen Liao gave Pei Yingjue a strange look, as if holding back laughter.
“He is my boyfriend,” Pei Yingjue corrected, his tone slightly displeased as he ushered Su Yi into the seat.
“Wow, and you did not tell me,” Su Yi whispered as he sat down. “I thought he was just another lab colleague.”
“You can tell them I am your boyfriend too,” Pei Yingjue countered.
Su Yi wondered why he was suddenly so willing to be introduced. He took off his scarf and coat as the shop was too warm.
“Drink this?” Pei Yingjue pushed the menu toward Su Yi, pointing at a dessert.
Su Yi’s eyes lit up. “Okay.”
While Pei Yingjue called the waiter, Su Yi leaned toward Chen Liao and mouthed, “What were you talking about?”
Chen Liao glanced at Pei and shook his head, making an X with his fingers. Su Yi pouted and pressed his hands together in a silent plea for information.
Before Chen Liao could respond, a drink was pushed between them, blocking their view of each other.
“Yours,” Pei Yingjue said.
“Hey!” Chen Liao laughed and looked at Su Yi. “You will have to ask him.”
“Fine,” Su Yi said, dejected.
Pei Yingjue looked at him. “Why not ask me?”
Su Yi looked up, his eyes brightening. “Will you tell me?”
Pei Yingjue met his gaze for a moment and said impassively, “No.”
“Hahahaha!” Chen Liao burst out laughing.
After a few more minutes of small talk, Chen Liao left, claiming he was dizzy from overtime. Su Yi and Pei Yingjue were left alone. By the time they walked out, it was dark and the streetlights were on.
“Why did you come out? Does your waist still hurt?” Pei Yingjue reached out to touch him, but Su Yi dodged.
Su Yi glanced at him. “Did you not also avoid bringing me out to meet people?”
There was a hint of jealousy in his voice. Su Yi rarely acted spoiled or threw tantrums. Usually, Pei Yingjue agreed to any request that was not physically harmful. But this time, Pei was keeping a secret for a surprise. He rubbed the bridge of his nose. “It is a secret.”
“Then my coming out is a secret too,” Su Yi retorted.
“Wait a few more days, and then we will exchange secrets,” Pei Yingjue suggested.
Su Yi looked at him quietly. “You have not fulfilled your previous promise yet.”
Pei Yingjue realized Su Yi was referring to the time he promised to tell him about his family. Seeing Pei’s silence, Su Yi was not surprised. He knew Pei would not reveal the inner details easily. However, as a deeply affectionate partner, Su Yi knew he had to act concerned about Pei’s past.
Suddenly, his hand was grasped.
“I grew up in an orphanage.”
Pei Yingjue forced his fingers between Su Yi’s, locking their palms together to share warmth.
“I was adopted at age five,” Pei Yingjue continued, his voice steady. “At the time, adoption came with a 100,000 subsidy. That man only wanted the money. He was a violent drunk. The money ran out quickly, so he found other ways to use people to get more.”
Su Yi’s expression darkened.
“When I was fifteen, he died in a car accident while drunk. I went to the underground market to find work, and Chen Liao took me in. You know the rest. I entered Morristy Academy as a scholarship student, met you three years later, and here we are.”
As for being abandoned or receiving items from his biological family, Pei Yingjue felt those details were no longer important. He squeezed Su Yi’s hand. “Can you trust me again?”
Su Yi stared at him, his grey eyes unreadable. Pei Yingjue bit his lip, worried he had said too much or that Su Yi found the story boring.
“Why did you not tell me then?” Su Yi asked seriously, frowning.
“You were tired that day. It was not a good time for such talk.”
“Was I not your boyfriend then?” Su Yi asked.
“Of course you were.”
“Then you can tell me everything, unless I am no longer your boyfriend,” Su Yi said.
Pei Yingjue tightened his grip. “That will not happen. I promise.”
“That remains to be seen!”
Su Yi tried to pull his hand away, but their fingers were locked too tightly. After several failed attempts, he looked at Pei Yingjue with a cold smile. The man was acting submissive now, but Su Yi knew better.
“Cunning,” Su Yi muttered, eventually shoving both their joined hands into his pocket.
“Su Yi, I want to ask you a question too.” Pei Yingjue looked at him with intense eyes. “When did you first fall for me?”
Pei Yingjue had wanted to ask this for a long time. In Morristy Academy, students of different classes rarely interacted. He had realized that Su Yi was not actually a social butterfly and neither was he. So when did it start?
Su Yi was stunned. He searched his memory to ensure he had not left any clues about his true mission. He concluded this was just a test of his feelings. He buried half his face in his scarf. “Why ask that now? We are outside.”
Pei Yingjue was surprised by Su Yi’s sudden shyness. Usually, Su Yi was bold and decadent. Pei Yingjue softened his voice. “I just thought of it. Can you not answer? If not, then forget it. You are still angry with me anyway.”
Su Yi panicked slightly at Pei’s disappointed look. He had to play the part of the devoted lover.
“How could I be!” Su Yi said quickly. “It was during the League. I saw you and thought you were handsome. Then I realized you were smart and a good person, so I fell for you.”
Pei Yingjue’s face darkened. “Because of my face?”
“Is that not allowed?” Su Yi asked, trying not to laugh at Pei’s jealousy.
“If someone else’s face fits your preference better now, what then?” Pei Yingjue asked coldly.
Su Yi winked. “Then of course I would look at them a few more times.”
Pei Yingjue’s expression changed instantly. His jaw tightened, and his eyes grew dark. He yanked his hand out of Su Yi’s pocket so fast Su Yi could not react.
Pei Yingjue was angry. Even when angry, he still opened the car door for Su Yi and stopped to buy Su Yi’s favorite dessert, but he refused to be intimate. He would not even let Su Yi kiss him.
At the checkout, Su Yi spotted a small square box on the shelf. He glanced at Pei’s cold face and tossed one into the cart. Pei Yingjue saw it but said nothing, moving with practiced efficiency to pay and pack the bags.
Su Yi tried to take a bag from Pei’s right hand. “I will help you.”
“Mhm.”
As Su Yi leaned in to get closer, Pei Yingjue stepped back. Su Yi tried to follow, but a heavy bag was suddenly placed in his hand, making him stumble and miss his chance.
“Is it heavy?” Pei Yingjue asked from a step away.
Su Yi was fuming. Why won’t he let me kiss him! There are only a few days left to eat!
They returned home in a mutual state of pique.
When the lights came on, the items displayed in the living room caught Pei Yingjue’s eye. His pupils contracted, and he froze. Su Yi, not noticing the stop, crashed into Pei’s back. Before he could complain, his wrist was seized with painful force. The grocery bag hit the floor, and fresh pears rolled everywhere.
“You picked this style?”
Pei Yingjue stood with his back to the light, looking like a storm was coming. Su Yi looked past him to see two identical black suits hanging there. He had forgotten to put them away after they were delivered. He had chosen them specifically because they looked like couple’s outfits.
“Yes. Do you not like it?” Su Yi asked, bending down to pick up the pears.
Suddenly, Pei Yingjue grabbed his waist and pinned him against the foyer wall, kissing him fiercely.
“Now I am allowed to kiss you?” Su Yi teased, pressing a finger to Pei’s lips.
Pei Yingjue stared at him with dark, predatory eyes. Since Su Yi would not let him kiss, his hand slid down to Su Yi’s lower back. Su Yi panicked and tried to push him away, but it was too late. He arched his neck with a whimper, and the pear in his hand hit the floor and rolled away.
“Do not,” Su Yi cried out as the pomegranate scent exploded around them.
“Why this style?” Pei Yingjue demanded, his eyes burning. Why was it the same style as the birthday party?
Su Yi smiled despite the intensity. “Do you not like it?”
Pei Yingjue’s breath hitched, and he applied more pressure. Su Yi could no longer hold his stance; his body arched, and he bit his lip until it was red.
Pei Yingjue pulled his hand away and looked at Su Yi’s trembling form. “And the ring your brother gave you?” he asked darkly.
Su Yi laughed. “You are so jealous, Xiao Pei.”
Pei Yingjue’s eyes turned cold, and he pressed his hand against Su Yi’s abdomen. Su Yi began to shake and desperately tried to push Pei’s hand away. “I threw it away! I threw it away! Let go! Mmph.”
Pei Yingjue’s eyes lit up. He pinched Su Yi’s chin and lifted his face. Su Yi’s eyes were watery and red at the edges as he glared at him.
“You really threw it away?” Pei Yingjue searched for any sign of a lie.
Su Yi punched him. “If you are not going to do it, then forget it.”
He tried to jump down, but Pei Yingjue pinned him back. “We will. But first, you have to promise me one thing.”
Pei Yingjue leaned in, his features sharp and wild in the shadows. Su Yi, momentarily dazed by his looks, agreed. It was only when he was pressed against the clothes that Su Yi regretted his impulsiveness.
“Wear it for me,” Pei Yingjue whispered into his ear.
Su Yi turned his head away, tearful. Pei Yingjue’s gaze darkened as he gripped Su Yi’s waist.
“I will wear it! I will wear it!” Su Yi stammered, reaching for the suit.
But Pei Yingjue pulled him back, causing Su Yi to collide with him. Tears finally fell.
“Did you not say we would wear these to meet your parents? Are there parents here now, Yi-Yi?”
Su Yi sobbed, his vision blurring. His only thought was that he must break up with Pei Yingjue. At this rate, he was going to die.
Pei Yingjue lifted Su Yi’s hand, rubbing his fingers against the base of Su Yi’s ring finger. Su Yi was too prone to running away. His words and actions were like a wind that no one could catch.
I must keep him. I must keep him.
As Su Yi had once said, once someone is thoroughly tamed, they would not dare try to leave.
Pei Yingjue leaned down and bit the base of Su Yi’s finger. The unconscious boy jolted. When he finally lifted his hand again, there was a clear, circular bite mark around his ring finger, binding him firmly.
