The Seductive Succubus Always Abandons After Playing (Quick Transmigration) - Chapter 19
“Miss Xu, can we talk now?”
Su Yi closed the door and looked at Xu Jiao, who had already dropped her charming facade. After a long day of maintaining their public personas, both of them were exhausted; it had been more taxing than attending a noble banquet.
“Thank you.” Xu Jiao poured a cup of tea and pushed it toward him. “I am grateful you came today and played along with this act. I have booked a table for dinner tonight—just the two of us—as a token of my gratitude.”
Su Yi sat across from Xu Jiao and waved his hand dismissively. “No thanks, someone is waiting for me at home for dinner.”
Xu Jiao raised an eyebrow slightly. “You have a lover?”
“Yes,” Su Yi admitted candidly. “I will need you to keep that a secret; my brother is not exactly thrilled about it.”
Hearing this, Xu Jiao’s expression shifted twice before she could not help but let out a low laugh. “Well, it seems our two families are truly alike.”
“Every family has its own cross to bear?” Su Yi joked.
Xu Jiao chuckled and shook her head as the atmosphere between them softened. “That bastard does not know his place. Two days ago, he actually went to the company to demand a shop I have my eye on from my father. He had the nerve to claim that since I am an Omega, a shop is useless to me and the family property will be his sooner or later anyway.”
“Did you give it to him?” Su Yi looked at her.
Xu Jiao sneered. “Of course not. Does he even deserve it?”
Su Yi nodded in agreement. “He certainly does not.” The idea of an illegitimate son openly demanding family assets from the only daughter was simply idiotic.
“Alright, we are even,” Xu Jiao suddenly said.
Su Yi paused for a moment before realizing she was reciprocating his honesty about having a lover. “I have to keep your secret too?”
“Up to you,” Xu Jiao said, picking up her teacup. “But regarding the matters between us, I would not suggest telling him. If he has a good family background, it might be fine, but if his background is poor, it could bring him trouble.”
Xu Jiao was not worried about Su Yi’s lover being a gossip; smart people do not choose fools as partners. She was more concerned that if the lover got hurt, Su Yi might terminate their deal.
“Of course, if you are willing to give me his information, I can send some people to keep an eye on things and ensure that idiot does not get within half a step of him,” Xu Jiao offered sincerely.
Su Yi shook his head. “No need, my brother is watching over him.”
Given Su Yi’s brother’s methods, Su Yi suspected that even the house Pei Yingjue was looking for was probably a Su family property. While Pei Yingjue was receiving treatment, nothing would happen to him. Xu Jiao glanced at him with surprise but did not press further.
“Since you helped me put on such a show but will not do me the honor of having dinner, is there nothing else you want?”
“You make me sound like a saint.”
Xu Jiao looked up to see Su Yi taking out his phone. He hesitated for a moment before sliding it over. “This is our team’s project. I would like you to take a look.”
Hearing this, Xu Jiao set down her teacup and looked at the dense text. She scanned it briefly, her expression shifting from serious to slightly surprised. “Do you have a detailed project proposal?”
“I do,” Su Yi replied immediately.
“Send me a copy. This project is quite good. Did you come up with it?” Xu Jiao glanced at the screen a few more times before pushing the phone back.
Su Yi put his phone away. “No, it was made by a member of my team. He is in charge of planning, and I am in charge of promotion. Currently, our team’s support ranking is third, which is not safe.”
“I will give you an answer after I read the proposal,” Xu Jiao did not agree immediately. “If it is suitable, I will support you in the name of the Xu family. It also happens to align with our deal.”
The top three projects in the league were generally those the Alliance intended to promote, so support could, to an extent, influence the development of one’s own family.
“Alright.” Su Yi had no objections.
“I will not be participating in the upcoming activities; there are things at home I need to handle.” Xu Jiao looked at Su Yi teasingly. “Besides, the longer I stay, the more trouble it causes you, right?”
Su Yi rubbed his temples. “It has already started. But the fault is mine for not telling him in advance.”
Seeing Su Yi’s troubled look, Xu Jiao could not help but laugh. “Alright, since you do not plan on coming to my banquet, I will not hold you up any longer.”
“Great. I will head out then. See you another day.”
Su Yi walked out of the room and sent a message first.
[Su Yi: I am off-campus. Did you see the post?] [Su Yi: I am coming back now. Listen to my explanation, A-Jue.]
Su Yi hurried downstairs. Before getting into the car, he checked his messages again; Pei Yingjue had not replied. “Tsk.” Su Yi frowned slightly. “777, check the HE progress.”
“003, it has dropped to 70%.”
Su Yi took a deep breath. “I know.”
At the time, he was not sure if he could reach an agreement with Xu Jiao, nor was he sure if she would allow him to disclose the matter. Plus, Pei Yingjue usually spent his time buried in experiments and did not check the forums often, so Su Yi figured it would not be too late to tell him after everything was settled. He had not expected Pei Yingjue to find out first, or that he would lose his temper.
Su Yi drove faster. He sped all the way, but his phone remained silent. When Su Yi parked and picked up his phone, his heart sank. Given Pei Yingjue’s personality, if he were angry, he should be paying more attention to his messages. The silent treatment did not seem like his style. Could he be that furious? But was Pei Yingjue the type of person to let anger override his reason? Moreover, Su Yi had spent the drive reflecting on his behavior with Xu Jiao; there had not been anything inappropriate.
Normally, Pei Yingjue would wait for him to come home to ask for details. Su Yi pulled out his key and inserted it into the lock, his thoughts racing. They were in a critical period; he did not want suspicion to grow between him and Pei Yingjue so soon. He turned the key twice.
The door clicked. Just as the door opened a crack, a hand with distinct knuckles suddenly reached out. Su Yi’s wrist was grabbed violently, and he was yanked inside as the door swung open and slammed shut.
“A-Jue! Ugh!”
The moment Su Yi entered the room, he was hit by a flood of overwhelming pheromones that made his legs go weak. He nearly fell to his knees, but the hand pinning him did not care. It forced him against the wall in the entryway. Immediately after, his collar was pulled down. Su Yi froze. A firm chest pressed tightly against his back; he could feel Pei Yingjue’s burning gaze and his scorching breath.
Pei Yingjue was in his rut. No wonder he was acting so out of character today.
Before Su Yi could even catch his breath, his gland was pressed down. Almost instinctively, his tail slipped out without warning, hitting Pei Yingjue with a smack. Fortunately, to hide his non-human identity, this virtual world would mask scenes and sensations that should not exist.
“Pei Yingjue,” Su Yi panted, calling out to the man behind him. He had been marked by Pei Yingjue so many times, and their compatibility was so high, that he had almost entirely lost his Alpha resistance to his pheromones. He was even adapting, showing physiological reactions usually reserved for Omegas.
“You have the scent of someone else on you. It is filthy.”
A voice colder than ever before fell word by word. A large hand completely covered Su Yi’s gland, pressing it firmly into his palm. Su Yi arched his back, but his legs were forced straight by a knee pressing into the back of his own. Dense pleasure and overwhelming pressure hit him all at once without giving him time to adjust, making the corners of his eyes turn red. What a Succubus hated most was being neglected.
“Baby, let me explain. It is not like the posts say! Ah!”
The hand on his gland was removed. Pei Yingjue leaned down and bit into Su Yi’s gland, once again cutting off his words.
“Su Yi, you said you liked me.”
“Of course, baby, of course I like you. Let go first, do not bite,” Su Yi tried to coax him.
“If you like me, why can I not bite?”
Pei Yingjue frowned at those words and clenched his teeth slightly. Su Yi, unable to react, could only tilt his neck back and let out a sob-like gasp. Seemingly satisfied with Su Yi’s reaction, Pei Yingjue bit a few more times, like a puppy who had found a favorite toy and kept it in its mouth. Meanwhile, one hand slid down to stroke Su Yi’s back, waist, and abdomen. He nibbled and teased like this, repeatedly refusing to give Su Yi a quick release.
“Pei Yingjue, you bastard.” Su Yi felt like he was drowning in this sea of pheromones. He pressed himself hard against the door, his eyes long since revealing their original purple color, which he could not hide even if he tried. After being busy for nearly three months without a single meal, now that it was right at his lips, he was being teased. No Succubus could maintain their form under these conditions.
To hell with explanations; he had to eat his fill first.
Su Yi hardened his heart and suddenly turned his head to look at Pei Yingjue. His tone was shaky, but his words carried a sense of ruthlessness and desperation. “Pei Yingjue, you better have the guts to screw me to death right now; let me die on your bed. Otherwise, the moment you let go, do not even think about catching my shadow again. I will be with whoever I want, and it is none of your business! Pei Yingjue, you better submit me right now!”
The moment the words left his mouth, Su Yi regretted them. Pei Yingjue stopped. His roaming hand retracted, and even his teeth left the gland. His pheromones suddenly became sharp and piercing, making it hard for Su Yi to breathe. Beyond that, Su Yi’s body trembled uncontrollably. He belatedly realized that this was an S-class Alpha; Pei Yingjue had been holding back his pheromones until now.
The moment Su Yi’s Succubus horns were forced out, he looked back and met Pei Yingjue’s eyes. Those clear eyes were staring at him quietly. There was no anger, no desire; just a dark, heavy gaze. Pei Yingjue suddenly reached out. Su Yi instinctively flinched, but when he saw the palm still covered in tiny glass shards and dried blood, his pupils shrank. Then, that wounded hand pressed harshly against Su Yi’s lips, rubbing with enough force to cause stinging pain and tiny scratches.
“Su Yi, are you breaking up with me?”
Pei Yingjue carefully wiped Su Yi’s lips until they were swollen and moist. He looked down at Su Yi’s flushed cheeks and watery eyes. He was going to pin Su Yi to the bed once and for all. Without waiting for Su Yi to answer, he slid his hand down to grip his jaw and kissed him violently. It was a fierce kiss, tasting of iron.
Clothes were scattered from the entryway to the bedside. Su Yi was suddenly thrown onto the bed, and while he was still seeing stars, Pei Yingjue pressed down on him. It was like being tossed about at sea, shaken by the waves. With tears blurring his vision, Su Yi—a Succubus for many years—cried for the first time in his life because there was too much food.
“It is too much, I do not want any more, A-Jue. I really do not want any more!” Su Yi sobbed, his wings pressed hard into the bedding. He tried to reach out and hold Pei Yingjue, to act spoiled and beg for mercy. But a hot hand, slick with sweat and moisture, pressed against his belly, and Su Yi was left speechless.
“Yi-Yi, Alphas can also get pregnant,” Pei Yingjue murmured as he suddenly leaned down. With a child, Su Yi would not leave him. Su Yi’s pupils contracted, his purple eyes losing focus. He tilted his head back as if on the brink of death, his short horns hitting the headboard. With a thud, tears fell like broken strings, and Su Yi completely lost his voice.
Three days straight.
When Pei Yingjue was conscious, Su Yi was dazed. When Su Yi was conscious, no matter how he explained, he was quickly dragged back into a stupor. Over and over again.
The morning light was blocked by the curtains, leaving the room in darkness. The person on the bed slept fitfully, brows knitted tightly, the purple-bruised hickeys on his neck looking somewhat terrifying. Pei Yingjue sat by the bed, his gaze darkening as it fell on Su Yi’s swollen eyes. An Alpha in rut is never sane, and after losing reason, they are no different from beasts. Crazy fragments of memory flashed through his mind; in every one, Su Yi’s tears never stopped.
Su Yi was too beautiful, and too good at attracting people. Friends, his own brother—who knew how many people were eyeing him. Better to lock him up.
“Tsk.” Pei Yingjue rubbed his temples hard. Even after taking suppressants, the rut was not over, and improper thoughts kept surfacing. He could not take away Su Yi’s freedom. Pei Yingjue reached out to touch Su Yi’s eye. The sleeping man flinched violently, and Pei Yingjue’s hand froze in mid-air.
He inevitably thought of Su Yi’s provocation. He had been pushed to the limit. It was his own fault for being irrational and insane. Actually, after waking up, Pei Yingjue had pieced together the truth from Su Yi’s fragmented explanations. When Su Yi could not take it anymore, he had confessed everything, crying and shouting. Su Yi and the Xu family were just putting on an act for a deal; it was fake. He should not have treated him so harshly, even going so far as wanting to imprison him and trying to keep him with a child; it was madness.
Pei Yingjue tightened his jaw, closed his eyes, and buried his face in his hands. He had forced Su Yi like that. Would Su Yi break up with him? Even if they separated, he could not blame Su Yi. It was his own fault.
“A-Jue, your pheromones are getting strange. It is making me feel uncomfortable.”
A raspy, out-of-tune voice sounded. Pei Yingjue snapped his head up to see Su Yi’s somewhat dazed gaze. He did not know when Su Yi had woken up. He had wrapped himself in the quilt like a cocoon, hiding half his face and leaving only his eyes to blink at him. Su Yi had not actually been sleeping very deeply because he was too full, and the room was filled with Pei Yingjue’s pheromones, which kept drawing him in. It was only when the pheromones became bitter that he was unable to continue his light nap.
“Where does it hurt?”
Hearing this, Pei Yingjue immediately retracted his pheromones. He stood up and moved to the bedside, alert and wanting to check on Su Yi, but his hand stopped in mid-air again. Could he still touch Su Yi now?
Su Yi whimpered and wriggled under the covers for a bit before fully waking up and meeting his gaze. Seeing the clarity in Su Yi’s eyes, Pei Yingjue’s body tensed, and his heart leaped into his throat. He looked away. “I am sorry. If you are uncomfortable, let us go to the hospital.”
Suddenly, Su Yi reached out from under the quilt. Pei Yingjue originally intended to dodge, but when he saw the blue bruises on the fair skin, he stopped abruptly and closed his eyes. But the hand did not slap him as expected. Instead, it hooked around his neck and pulled him down forcefully. The moment their lips touched, Pei Yingjue opened his eyes to see Su Yi’s grey eyes. His teeth were pried open; Su Yi gave him no chance to refuse as he took complete control of the kiss.
When the kiss ended, Su Yi squinted his eyes contentedly. “I do not feel uncomfortable anymore.”
Pei Yingjue looked at him in a daze. “You…”
Was he still holding a grudge? Su Yi looked at the stunned man, feeling uncharacteristically guilty. He really had just been too hungry for food, so he had spoken a bit drastically. Pei Yingjue could not have actually taken it seriously, right?
“Kiss me again.”
As Su Yi spoke, he tilted his head up and affectionately rubbed against Pei Yingjue’s lips. But he could not sustain it for long; his arms were sore and his waist ached, so he started whimpering again. Pei Yingjue instinctively supported Su Yi’s back and sat on the bed to let Su Yi rest on his lap, leaning down to kiss him. Finally, having had enough, Su Yi felt completely comfortable and finally had the energy to do something else.
He grabbed Pei Yingjue’s hand. The glass shards he had seen earlier were gone, and some of the wounds had even begun to scab, feeling rough to the touch. Su Yi watched, tracing the wounds with his fingertip. It tickled, and Pei Yingjue watched him quietly, suddenly unsure of what to do.
“I’m sorry.”
Pei Yingjue’s gaze faltered. Su Yi continued, “Because I wasn’t sure if the deal needed to be kept confidential at the time, I kept it from you. I’m sorry.”
“But I didn’t cheat on you, and I’m not joining the Xu family through marriage; we’re just getting what we each need. An illegitimate son popped up out of nowhere in her family and started eyeing their assets, so Xu Jiaogu wanted to use the engagement to smoke him out. I agreed because the old man has been watching me, trying to force a marriage between me and Xu Jiaogu.”
Pei Yingjue suddenly grabbed Su Yi’s fingers. Su Yi looked up at his anxious expression and let out a low laugh. “That’s why I made the deal with her. My father just wants the Su and Xu families to be on good terms anyway, so this should satisfy him. Besides, I showed Xu Jiaogu the project proposal, and she’s quite interested.”
“Right, where’s my phone? I want to see if she replied.”
As Su Yi reached out for his phone, his wrist was caught. He looked up to find Pei Yingjue leaning down to kiss his forehead. Su Yi froze.
The lips pressed against his forehead were trembling.
“I’m sorry.”
Pei Yingjue’s trembling eyelashes were reflected in Su Yi’s gray eyes.
“I shouldn’t have doubted you, distrusted you, or refused to listen to your explanation, and I certainly shouldn’t have forced you. I’m sorry, Su Yi.” Pei Yingjue counted out his offenses one by one. “I am not a qualified boyfriend. I’m sorry.”
How could he have doubted Su Yi?
While the other was working tirelessly for the project, he had forced himself upon him without a word.
Su Yi arched an eyebrow and grabbed Pei Yingjue’s wrist in return.
“Are you planning to abandon me and the child?”
Pei Yingjue’s eyes snapped up. He saw Su Yi clearly pulling his hand under the covers, pressing it against his flat abdomen.
“It was you who said last night, no, the day before yesterday, that you wanted to get me pregnant. Are you saying you’re abandoning us now?” Su Yi pursed his lips, looking incredibly aggrieved.
The veins on Pei Yingjue’s forehead throbbed. He tried to pull his hand back, but Su Yi refused to let go, pressing down with both hands to keep Pei Yingjue’s palm firmly against his smooth skin.
This bold and suggestive move instantly scattered Pei Yingjue’s guilt and self-reproach to the winds.
Is this person really not trying to seduce me on purpose?
Sensing the gradually spreading pheromones, Su Yi curled his lips into a smile, his fingers idly tapping the back of Pei Yingjue’s hand.
“Of course you can doubt me. Not only can you doubt me, but you should also ask me directly.”
“Ask me what my relationship with Xu Jiaogu is, instead of beating around the bush to ask where I am. Pei Yingjue, am I still your boyfriend? You didn’t even dare to ask that.”
“Coward,” Su Yi criticized with a pout.
Pei Yingjue looked at Su Yi, his eyes trembling slightly.
“Then, will you leave me?” Pei Yingjue asked.
“Of course not.”
Su Yi’s answer was decisive and swift.
It felt like an unbreakable vow, slamming heavily into Pei Yingjue’s heart, making his very soul ache.
Selfishly, he didn’t want to let Su Yi go.
Ever.
Pei Yingjue allowed his rationality to sink away.
Suddenly, he leaned down, and Su Yi closed his eyes.
It was a tender, delicate kiss. Amidst the soft sounds of the kiss, Su Yi slowly moved his restraining hand downward. When Pei Yingjue opened his eyes, he saw a pair of mischievous eyes smiling back at him.
“Let’s do it again.”
Su Yi pulled back slightly, their lips still touching, and whispered enticingly, “Your rut isn’t over yet.”
“Let’s do it again, Pei Yingjue.”
Pei Yingjue’s breath hitched. Unable to hold back any longer, he kissed him back fiercely.
This person is definitely seducing me on purpose.
By the time the two finally had a moment of peace, it was already evening.
Nestled in Pei Yingjue’s arms, Su Yi finally got hold of his phone, which was overflowing with messages. He first opened the chat with Xu Jiaogu.
[Xu Jiaogu: The project is good.]
This was a message from two days ago. Xu Jiaogu had also sent a picture showing their team’s support ranking. Thanks to the Xu family’s backing, they had jumped straight to first place.
Su Yi tilted his head to look at Pei Yingjue and gave a small huff.
He looked like he was fishing for praise.
However, Pei Yingjue’s gaze moved past him to the screen. Xu Jiaogu had sent a new message. He reached out and scrolled up.
[Xu Jiaogu: It seems I really did cause you quite a bit of trouble. I’m grateful your lover didn’t delete me.]
At the end was a teasing emoji of a cat covering its mouth.
Pei Yingjue looked at Su Yi. He hadn’t expected Su Yi to have mentioned him and their relationship to others.
Su Yi didn’t think much of it and replied naturally.
[Su Yi: Caught him during his rut.]
[Su Yi: Thanks. I’ll treat you to dinner another day.]
He followed the local custom and replied with a “cat wishing a happy new year” emoji.
Feeling something soft against his cheek, Su Yi turned his head and found Pei Yingjue kissing him.
“I’m sorry,” Pei Yingjue said in a muffled voice. He had been too possessive of Su Yi.
“Well then, Student Pei, there is now an opportunity for redemption. Do you want it?” Su Yi closed his phone and spoke with feigned mystery.
“What opportunity?” Pei Yingjue asked.
“I want to have seafood congee.”
“Just that?” Pei Yingjue turned his head to ask.
“Yes.”
“Okay.”
Pei Yingjue kissed him for a while longer before getting up to leave.
Only after watching him walk into the kitchen did Su Yi lean back against the headboard, his expression fading into a neutral calm.
“What is the current Happy Ending probability?” Su Yi asked 777 in his mind.
[Current Happy Ending: 85 percent. It went up by 5 percent!] 777 was shocked.
Su Yi breathed a sigh of relief.
It seemed that as long as they finished the project, healed his glands, and joined the Alliance, they would be close to the ending.
Ding!
The phone screen lit up. Su Yi looked down; it was a message from Su Yi.
[Su Yi: Come to the company tomorrow. Come alone.]
Su Yi raised an eyebrow. What’s going on?
[003, the Happy Ending probability dropped to 75 percent. Not only that, the Bad Ending probability rose to 55 percent.]
Su Yi frowned suddenly. Since he had been with Pei Yingjue, the Bad Ending probability had stabilized around 30 percent. Why had it spiked so much without warning?
He looked at the message from Su Yi, and his heart sank.
He had to go to the company tomorrow.
In the kitchen.
Pei Yingjue received a call from Su Qing. He didn’t answer immediately; instead, he glanced back. Seeing Su Yi looking down at his phone, he closed the kitchen door before taking the call.
He wanted to be sure of the facts before telling Su Yi.
“Hello, Senior.”
“Little Pei, about that matter you asked me to look into, the old man finally remembered today.”
Pei Yingjue gripped his phone tightly. “What did he say?”
Su Qing seemed to be outside; the sound of the wind was audible.
“The old man said that piece of jade was auctioned off before the Su family’s second child was born, that is, before Su Yi was born. Our Su family is on good terms with the Su family, so the old man wanted to get a special gift for them. After winning the jade, he specifically found a master to carve a pair of jade pieces and sent them to the Su family.”
“The jade pieces were meant for each of the two children. Su Yi should have one. Are you trying to secretly surprise Su Yi?” Su Qing joked with a laugh.
Pei Yingjue was in no mood to respond. The room was warm, but he felt as if he had plunged into an ice cellar in an instant.
“Senior, are you sure the jade was sent to the Su family?”
When Pei Yingjue spoke, he suddenly realized his voice sounded foreign, as if it were coming from thousands of miles away.
Could Senior have made a mistake? How could it be the Su family? Why the Su family?
“Of course. The old man still has a hand-drawn sketch and a signature from the master. Shall I send it for you to see?”
Su Qing’s words completely shattered Pei Yingjue’s last bit of hope.
He was silent for a long time before replying in a hoarse voice, “Please do, Senior.”
The call ended, seemingly taking Pei Yingjue’s soul with it. The pot was boiling over, steam filling the kitchen and blurring the glass.
Why the Su family? Why Su Yi?
Pei Yingjue looked up through the glass toward the bedroom. For some reason, Su Yi also looked up at that moment, and their eyes met. Su Yi’s eyes crinkled into a smile as he curled his lips at him, a lovely, beautiful smile.
But Pei Yingjue felt that the smile was very far away, as distant as the horizon.
If it was Su Yi, then what did they count as now?
