- The Seductive Beauty Sinks Into the Shura Field [Quick Transmigration]
- Chapter 5 - Pitiful and Fragile
Chi Wenqiu, who had just been acting as delicate as a small bird, suddenly gave a forceful push. Caught off guard by the abrupt movement, Qu Jing tumbled to the floor. Before he could scramble back up, a heavy weight, hot as a branding iron, pressed down on him again. His thin lips, poised to shout a reprimand, were smothered by something soft, moist, and incredibly supple. It was far more resilient than jelly.
Realizing what was happening, Qu Jing snapped to his senses. He gripped Chi Wenqiu’s shoulders with a death grip and forcibly shoved him away. Unable to contain himself any longer, he roared, “Is there no end to this! I am not that pervert Qu Sinian. Get the hell away from me!”
He wanted to continue his verbal assault, but as he caught sight of Chi Wenqiu’s state, the words jammed in his throat. Not a single sound could escape.
The man’s soft hair was disheveled, with several black strands clinging to his snowy white cheeks. His face was flushed with a vivid bloom, his eyes were alluring and watery, and his long, low-hanging eyelashes trembled slightly. He wore a loathsome expression of someone completely oblivious to reason, looking as though it did not matter what anyone did to him.
Qu Jing’s gaze swept over his face and instinctively landed on those lips, which were softly exhaling hot breaths. They were as translucent as jade and felt as soft and bouncy as the pudding he loved to eat.
He almost kissed him again. At the critical moment, Qu Jing slammed on the brakes, his expression contorted beyond recognition.
He loathed his own weak will and despised the fact that Chi Wenqiu possessed a face so beautiful it was impossible to heartlessly reject. Qu Jing ground his teeth so hard he nearly shattered them. He was so overwhelmed with shame and rage that he wanted to jump off a building, but before that, he felt like biting through the throat of the seductive creature before him.
With bloodshot eyes, Qu Jing panted heavily. His gaze followed a bead of sweat trickling down Chi Wenqiu’s neck, and when he saw the mottled hickeys beneath the collar, his fury spiked.
Driven to a frenzy and losing all reason, he turned ruthless himself and simply bit down.
Sharp teeth tore through the delicate skin, and a crimson bead of blood immediately surfaced, only to be licked away by his tongue. This was the first time Qu Jing had ever done something so uncouth, yet he instinctively knew how to suck a vivid mark into the skin.
Chi Wenqiu’s face contorted in pain, and he slumped weakly against him.
An adult man weighs over a hundred pounds. Having been teased until his limbs were soft, Qu Jing felt light-headed as he picked Chi Wenqiu up. He laid him flat on the bed and sat at the headboard, staring at Chi Wenqiu’s face in a fit of pique.
The sweat had already evaporated, but the flush showed no sign of fading, and those thin eyebrows remained tightly knitted.
Qu Jing considered throwing him into a cold bath but could not bring himself to abandon him. After a moment of hesitation, he went out to ask a passing maid for the location of Chi Wenqiu’s room.
The maid answered truthfully but then asked in confusion, “Young Master, why is there a wet patch on your trousers?”
“What?” He had not even washed his hands.
Qu Jing realized the water stain had appeared because Chi Wenqiu had been sitting on him. His anger flared anew, and his handsome face twisted in frustration. The maid, startled by his expression, made an excuse and hurried away.
After a quick cold shower, Qu Jing returned to find Chi Wenqiu showing signs of waking up. Standing by the bed, Qu Jing spoke coldly, “Chi Wenqiu, let me tell you something. I am not gay, and I am not falling for your tricks!”
“My apologies.” The butler, appearing once again refined and elegant, offered a polite smile. There was no trace of the heart-stirring, seductive energy from moments ago. Qu Jing began to wonder if he had been daydreaming.
“Chi Wenqiu, is there something wrong with you?”
Chi Wenqiu actually took the question seriously. “If the Young Master thinks I have a problem, then I suppose I do. I will go to the hospital for a full check-up soon.”
“No, do you not remember what just happened?”
Chi Wenqiu maintained his smile. “I only remember accidentally entering the wrong room, and you were kind enough to carry me to the bed to rest. Thank you. Cough, cough!” He coughed twice, tears blurring his eyes once more, making him look even more pitiful.
Qu Jing, who had intended to interrogate him, felt as though he had punched a bale of cotton. The sense of powerlessness was overwhelming.
He was certain he was being toyed with, but he had no proof.
Losing his temper entirely, Qu Jing simply watched as Chi Wenqiu stood up, bowed to him, and left with an awkward gait.
Either Chi Wenqiu was sick or he had taken the wrong medication. Regardless, Qu Jing knew he would be overthinking things until he could not sleep tonight.
“Is he really insane? How do you walk into the wrong room from ten thousand miles away!”
Back in his own room, Chi Wenqiu stopped pretending to be weak. The sickly flush on his face slowly receded. Like a robot without a language module, he stripped off his clothes and stepped into the shower.
The sweat was sticky, and the scent of wine was heavy.
After washing for a full hour, a weary Chi Wenqiu lay on the sofa. Feeling bored, he finally opened his mental communication channel. The system, having been suppressed for too long, began to wail, “Host! Host, you cannot two-time people! I am a firm believer in the one-on-one pure-love trope! Do not make things messy for me, woo-hoo!”
Chi Wenqiu’s tone was mocking as he laughed. “If you had not punished me, would I have gone to find Qu Jing?”
“There was no other way, Host! You rejected the target’s confession again. I am just a tool for delivering instructions. I do not want to see you suffer either.”
Having had no proper rest all day, Chi Wenqiu was about to doze off when he was startled awake by a familiar message notification.
Qu Sinian: “How are you getting along with Xiao Jing?”
Chi Wenqiu stared at the sentence for a full minute. The system asked tremulously, “Host, is the target not supposed to be very possessive of you? Why is he not jealous?”
“Because he authorized it. If he did not want me to go to Qu Jing, someone would have dragged me away long ago. To be honest, if I actually got into a fight with his son, he would probably enjoy it.”
“Ah, why! I thought he liked you!”
“Do not be naive, Xiao Ba. After staying by Qu Sinian’s side for three years, have you still not seen what kind of person he is? Love does not exist. His daily tenderness is just a manifestation of his possessiveness. To him, I am nothing more than a toy to be discarded at will. My only purpose is his amusement. It would not be surprising if he handed me over to Qu Jing eventually.”
“Heavens, how could this be!”
Chi Wenqiu picked up his phone and replied: “Thanks to you, our relationship has become even worse.”
The other party sent a voice message. Chi Wenqiu did not want to play it, so he converted it to text: “Haha, in that case, I will help you two get closer. Xiao Jing starts school in two days. You will be responsible for taking him there. Focus on serving him daily, and just make sure he does not let it interfere with his studies.”
Chi Wenqiu ignored the message, tossed his phone aside, and fell into a deep sleep.
He was tired. Truly, deeply tired.
In the morning, Qu Jing headed downstairs with messy bed-head hair.
Butler Wu was busy setting the dining table. Qu Jing scanned the various servants in the grand hall, but that elegant figure was nowhere to be seen.
His throat tightened as he sat in the chair Butler Wu pulled out for him.
The old man said with a chuckle, “Do not worry, Young Master. While Butler Chi is away, I will be here to look after your daily needs.”
“Where did he go?”
“Away on business for a few days.” Seeing Qu Jing’s confused look, the old man smiled and added, “He should be back the day after tomorrow to take you to school.”
“I do not need him to take me!” Qu Jing immediately put on a look of disgust.
“Of course. You may also request my services instead.”
“Who told him to take me? My dad?”
“Yes.”
“Forget it then. Just do what he says, or he will claim I am being disrespectful again.”
Qu Jing ate his food in large gulps, but his mind kept drifting back to Chi Wenqiu’s seductive, beautiful face from the night before. It was like a ripe peach that would leak sweet juice the moment you poked it.
The term stepmother became associated with him. The sense of taboo surged. He would have to deal with Chi Wenqiu in the future. As for how they would deal with each other, that would depend on his mood.
“Ah, no!”
The car shook violently, and a few broken gasps could be heard.
Five minutes later, the commotion gradually subsided.
An exhausted Chi Wenqiu leaned against the man’s marble-firm arm, his breathing slow and long. A satisfied Qu Sinian pulled him tightly into his embrace. It was only in these brief moments after the act that he could appreciate Chi Wenqiu’s true personality.
Impatient, refusing to communicate, like a child who refused to get out of bed, his face was written all over with loathing.
Qu Sinian remembered yesterday, when he had ordered Chi Wenqiu to register their marriage. The other man had immediately shown a small, resistant reaction. He did not know who Chi Wenqiu was saving himself for, but a jealous Qu Sinian had pinned him down and used him for a long time. Even today, Chi Wenqiu was still acting a bit moody.
“Host! Host, stop going against the target’s wishes! Just agree already!”
“Why is there a bite mark on you that does not belong to me? Who did it? Answer me.” A dense, gnawing pain came from the back of his neck as Qu Sinian ground his teeth against the skin. Chi Wenqiu tried to pull away, but the arm around his waist was as tight as a python.
“Mm, it hurts.” He had not cried out in pain for so long, so why was he crying out now?
A thin, hazy mist gathered in the beautiful Chi Wenqiu’s eyes, making his dark pupils look like glass beads. Qu Sinian stared at his face for a long time before slowly using his tongue to lick away a tear that was about to fall.
“So beautiful. My little pet, the way you are always secretly trying to fight me is so alluring. But I really dislike your evasiveness. Why not just open your heart and say it directly? I can provide you with anything, can I not? Both in bed and out of it.” The man lowered his head, his touch as light as a feather as it brushed against Chi Wenqiu’s collarbone, leaving a mark on the snowy white skin that was already a mess of indulgence.
Looking into his eyes, a cold light flashed in the depths of Chi Wenqiu’s gaze. He suddenly grabbed Qu Sinian’s face and kissed him heavily.
The car began to shake once again.
