The Pursuit of Love After Divorcing My Cold Omega - Chapter 100
“Yu Kunian, mark me.”
This kiss was more scorching than any that had come before. Song Wenzhi closed her eyes and pressed closer toward Yu Kunian, her entire body nearly collapsing into the Alpha’s embrace as she poured all her strength into this kiss.
Yu Kunian’s hands tightly encircled Song Wenzhi’s waist. This long-awaited kiss caused her instincts to respond rapidly; the familiar embrace, the familiar pheromones—the Alpha had no way of not indulging in it, and even less of a way to avoid falling completely for Song Wenzhi.
Emotions cannot guarantee logic; they are swayed by any single moment.
The atmosphere seemed to begin heating up. Yu Kunian raised her other hand to stroke the Omega’s cheek, the warmth of her fingertips bleeding into Song Wenzhi’s fair skin. Soft strands of hair tangled between her fingers as the kiss gradually deepened.
They were beyond self-control, simply obeying their hearts.
The scents of mint and coconut candy intertwined, and the increasingly intense pheromones filled the entire house, leaving their mark in every corner.
The Alpha lightly bit the Omega’s lips, leaving faint teeth marks that turned a shade of pink moments later. Intermittent gasps escaped their mouths; Song Wenzhi felt deprived of oxygen, able only to let Yu Kunian take the lead.
Greed, possession, and deep-seated passion—Yu Kunian held Song Wenzhi tightly. They exchanged body heat and breath; a misty respiration spilled between their teeth. The Omega half-opened her eyes in a daze, feeling as if the hand at her waist was burning through the fabric of her clothes and onto her skin.
Scalding palms, scalding air.
It wasn’t until they were nearly breathless that they briefly pulled apart. The strength left the Omega’s hands, and in the next moment, she was lifted by Yu Kunian, who held her by the legs. The Alpha tilted her head up, letting soft kisses fall upon the Omega’s collarbone.
Those amber eyes held nothing but smiles and unmasked love.
One hundred percent, unreserved love.
The kisses landing on her neck brought a slight itch. Song Wenzhi lowered her head, looking into the Alpha’s eyes, her voice soft: “Yu Kunian, I love you so much.”
As the words fell, Song Wenzhi’s lips landed on the corner of Yu Kunian’s eye and then slowly moved downward. The Omega piously kissed the Alpha’s cheek; the kiss marks were barely there, yet they left a brand-like heat.
Yu Kunian’s steps were somewhat unsteady, her breathing quickening. Her thumb brushed over Song Wenzhi’s thigh as she moved a few steps to the side, finally placing the Omega in her arms down onto that narrow sofa.
Yu Kunian joined her on the sofa, trapping Song Wenzhi within the span of her arms. The distance between them suddenly became cramped. The Alpha’s breath brushed against Song Wenzhi’s ear; the misty warmth created a ticklish sensation. Song Wenzhi reached out, her hand coming to rest at Yu Kunian’s neck.
The touch was very light, drawing Yu Kunian’s attention.
“Give me a temporary mark.” Song Wenzhi grabbed her collar, making a request of the Alpha. “Yu Kunian, mark me.”
The “forever” she spoke of was once again entrusted by the Omega to Yu Kunian.
The Alpha turned her head, nuzzling her nose against Song Wenzhi’s earlobe. Hearing Song Wenzhi’s words, she quickly replied, “Okay.”
Song Wenzhi was pulled up, her cascading hair brushed aside. The thick scent of coconut candy on the back of her neck almost overwhelmed Yu Kunian. The Alpha first kissed the Omega’s gland before finally marking her.
Their pheromones signed a contract. In this moment, they drowned in each other’s scents, sinking into each other’s love and desire. No one wanted to part again; they would never leave each other.
The Omega gripped Yu Kunian’s arm, her fingertips trembling slightly. They were pressed tightly together through their clothes, the rise and fall of their chests accompanying the rapid heartbeats echoing in their ears. Everything became peaceful.
Yu Kunian sniffed Song Wenzhi’s hair. After the marking ended, dense kisses trailed from the back of her neck down to her chest. The clothes on her shoulder were gently pulled down as the Alpha kissed Song Wenzhi’s shoulder with deep affection, her voice turning somewhat hoarse.
“Zhizhi, I like you… I love you so, so much.” The Alpha was no longer speaking clearly; she was completely led by the Omega.
Her palms moved slowly, her upper body retreating as her thin lips landed on a knee.
Song Wenzhi arched her neck; she could not escape Yu Kunian’s restraint, nor did she wish to.
Her entire body began to turn burning hot, like waves crashing onto a beach.
The tide rose, and then it fell.
Midway through, a phone call from Jiang Qiu interrupted them, but Yu Kunian told her to go back first. Later, under the twilight and then the night sky, the Alpha caressed Song Wenzhi’s back; that pale yellow long dress of the Omega’s had already been draped over the back of the sofa.
By the time they went to shower, Song Wenzhi was half-asleep. Her eyelids felt heavy, and she only felt Yu Kunian supporting her, the Alpha’s hands wandering over her skin.
The narrowness of the sofa was a novel experience. Such close proximity made them both perceive each other’s heat like never before; the possession of pheromones was a mutual marking.
Before falling asleep, Yu Kunian tucked the hair behind Song Wenzhi’s ear. The Alpha seemed to say something, but the Omega didn’t hear it clearly, only catching the word “forever.”
Moonlight spilled onto the windowsill, illuminating the dim night. Such a moment would last until forever.
Neither of them could ever leave the other.
The next day, it was nearly noon when she opened her eyes. Song Wenzhi woke up slowly because of the sunlight. She instinctively raised her hand to shield her eyes; the movement was a bit large, causing Yu Kunian, who was hugging the Omega from behind, to let out an involuntary low hum.
Song Wenzhi’s consciousness returned. She looked down and realized they had actually spent the night on the sofa.
Yu Kunian’s hand was wrapped around her waist, her body pressed against Song Wenzhi’s back. Her warm chest left no room for the cold, and because of the narrow space, there was no gap between them.
“Yu Kunian,” Song Wenzhi spoke first, calling out in a low voice.
The Alpha wasn’t awake yet, but hearing the voice, she tightened her grip. Her soft lips landed on Song Wenzhi’s spine; it seemed unintentional, yet the touch lingered.
The pajamas had been put on by Yu Kunian while she was drowsy last night, but the clothes taken off yesterday were still draped over the sofa. When the Omega looked back and saw them, the memories of last night replayed in her mind, causing her ears and cheeks to flush a deep crimson.
The mint pheromones at the tip of her nose were still very rich. Song Wenzhi slowly turned around to face Yu Kunian. The Alpha’s brow was slightly furrowed; perhaps her gland was uncomfortable. The Omega released her soothing pheromones again. Song Wenzhi used her thumb to smooth out Yu Kunian’s brow, her finger then slowly sliding down the Alpha’s cheek.
When her hand reached the neck, the warm sensation was caught. Yu Kunian opened one eye; seeing Song Wenzhi dazed in front of her, she smiled.
“Good morning, Zhizhi,” Yu Kunian said softly, opening her other eye.
Song Wenzhi glanced at the clock on the wall and said, “It’s ‘Good afternoon’.”
Upon hearing this, Yu Kunian reached for the wristwatch on the table. “You’re late for work, Zhizhi.” After saying this, the Alpha lowered her head to nuzzle Song Wenzhi’s cheek. “Are you still going today?”
Though it was a bit selfish, Yu Kunian truly did not want Song Wenzhi to leave her side for a single step today.
Song Wenzhi cupped her chin. “I’ve already requested time off.”
Yu Kunian asked, “When?”
Song Wenzhi said, “Before I came back yesterday. Yu Kunian, I took a month off.”
“You knew everything?” Yu Kunian understood immediately, her voice deepening.
The Omega nodded. “I was there the whole time.”
Yu Kunian was silent for a moment. She hugged her a bit tighter and lowered her eyes, saying softly, “Zhizhi, I didn’t mean to keep it from you on purpose…”
“I know.” Song Wenzhi held Yu Kunian’s hand. “You don’t need to say anything.”
She understood it all. She knew Yu Kunian’s thoughts and understood her actions. Facing a crisis, they had made the same choice, so no explanation was needed, and there was no blame.
She would love Yu Kunian even more, in every minute and second of the future.
“Until your gland condition is completely better, I will stay with you.” Song Wenzhi met Yu Kunian’s gaze; this was the decision she had made yesterday.
A pheromone disorder was no small matter. An Alpha would constantly need the Omega’s soothing, so Song Wenzhi would not leave her side until Yu Kunian’s gland no longer had any issues.
Yu Kunian’s breath trembled. she had no reason to refuse, and was even more overjoyed by Song Wenzhi’s decision.
She curled her lips. “Zhizhi, does this count as a blessing in disguise?”
Song Wenzhi said, “It counts as caring for a patient.”
The Alpha’s eyes crinkled. Thinking of the scene from yesterday, she asked, “So you knew long ago that I was the private chef cooking for you?”
“I didn’t know at first.”
“Then how did you find out later?”
Song Wenzhi gave a light laugh. “Guess.”
Yu Kunian couldn’t guess. In the past, she had clearly arranged her schedule to be separate from Song Wenzhi’s, only bumping into her by accident yesterday. After thinking seriously for a long time without coming up with an answer, she wanted to ask again, but Song Wenzhi took the wristwatch from her hand and asked, “Why did you install a tracker in here?”
Yu Kunian’s eyes flickered for an instant as she suddenly recalled her thoughts when she was making that gift.
Because she worried about not being able to contact Song Wenzhi in a time of need, she installed a tracker so they could both see each other’s location. It was originally intended as a safeguard, and she hadn’t expected it to be used in that way in the end.
“There was a pair of these watches. The other one, I didn’t have time to give away,” Yu Kunian said softly. “Zhizhi, there won’t be another chance to give it to you.”
The Alpha twisted open the pheromones stored in the watch. A faint scent of coconut candy seemed quite out of place in this room; although it was still the Omega’s pheromones, they weren’t the same.
the one that was broken had already been thrown away.
“I’m sorry, Yu Kunian,” Song Wenzhi’s expression turned sad as she snuggled into Yu Kunian’s embrace and said, “for making you wait so long.”
“No need to apologize, Zhizhi,” Yu Kunian said.
Originally, it was her own issues that led to what happened later; the one who should apologize was never Song Wenzhi. As for the waiting, Yu Kunian believed it was only right. She had prepared herself long ago; no matter how long it took, it would never be Song Wenzhi’s fault.
There would be many more opportunities to give gifts; there was no need to lament that one wristwatch.
There would be better, more suitable ones.
Having said that, Yu Kunian kissed the Omega’s fingertips, as sincere as she had been countless times in the past.
Suddenly remembering yesterday at Xia Weichi’s villa: “Zhizhi, what was it you wanted to tell me before?”
Song Wenzhi pressed her forehead against hers, her voice gentle and earnest:
“Yu Kunian, let’s start over again, starting with dating.”
