- The Junior Sister Isn't Flirtatious At All; It's All Their Fault for Being Too Seductive
- Chapter 75 - The Puppet
Li Changting gave a bitter smile. “What does it matter? It’s already a reality. But Junior Sister… I am very happy.”
“So many of us entered the secret realm and got separated. To think that the person who found me was you… I’m glad I can see you one last time before I die.” Li Changting forced a pale, weak smile.
Hearing his words, Jiang Luoyue’s heart tightened suddenly. She had often sensed Senior Brother Li’s gaze lingering on her, but since he never made it obvious, she had feared she was simply being vain.
“Junior Sister, I like you… but fortunately, it’s just me liking you. There are others by your side to keep you company, so you won’t have to suffer the pain of a permanent parting. I only hope… that you find another powerful Alchemist to be with you…”
Li Changting’s head slumped after he finished speaking, though he hadn’t closed his eyes yet. He just looked up at his Junior Sister, feeling incredibly exhausted.
“Who wants another Alchemist? I only want you alive.” Jiang Luoyue used her sword to cut her palm and raised her hand to cover his mouth.
Jiang Luoyue’s essence blood could facilitate rapid recovery. In truth, Dual Cultivation would be even more effective, but given Li Changting’s current state… he wasn’t exactly up for it.
Li Changting, having had his head tilted back and his mouth covered so suddenly, was forced to swallow her blood. He began to cough violently, nearly choking.
“Jun… Junior Sister…” Li Changting’s eyes widened in shock, not understanding why she would do such a thing.
Jiang Luoyue frowned. “Shut up.”
Li Changting obediently fell silent. After consuming her blood, he truly felt the spiritual qi within his body slowly returning, and the agonizing pain in his dantian began to dissipate.
“Host, that’s enough, that’s enough,” the system’s voice interrupted. “He’s heavily injured; he can’t handle too much of your blood at once. You can wait until he recovers a bit, then proceed with the dual cultivation…”
As the system spoke, its tone became noticeably more suggestive. Jiang Luoyue nodded inwardly. “I know.” She was truly starting to find Luan Yao a bit much to handle.
Jiang Luoyue removed her hand from his mouth, wiped the blood from her palm, and took a Hemostasis Pill before feeding a Yuan-Nourishing Pill to Li Changting.
“Do you feel any better?” she asked, crouching beside him with concern.
“Much better,” Li Changting replied. He closed his eyes to feel the spiritual energy flowing through his body; remarkably, his damaged spiritual root was slowly knitting itself back together. He had no idea his Junior Sister’s blood possessed such miraculous properties.
“Junior Sister…” He looked at her in astonishment.
“Didn’t you just say you liked me?” Jiang Luoyue asked with a mischievous smile.
Li Changting lowered his head, not daring to look at her. His face flushed a deep crimson. He had only dared to reveal his heart because he thought he was at death’s door; remembering it now, he felt mortified.
“Junior Sister… I…” He stammered, too embarrassed to speak.
“Answer my question.” Jiang Luoyue suppressed a laugh; her Eldest Senior Brother looked rather adorable when he was flustered.
“I do… I do like you, Junior Sister,” he finally answered, nodding slowly.
“Then do you want your body to recover even faster?” Jiang Luoyue pressed.
“No, Junior Sister, I can’t drink any more of your blood.” Thinking she was going to feed him more, he waved his hands in a frantic refusal.
Jiang Luoyue pressed her hands onto his shoulders, making him even more nervous. “Junior Sister…”
She slowly leaned in closer. Li Changting watched her face enlarge in his vision, his entire body freezing up like an ice block, not daring to move an inch. They were so close he could feel the warmth of her breath on his skin. He felt as though his face was about to catch fire.
“What… what are you doing?” Before he could process his surprise, he stiffened completely.
Jiang Luoyue’s kiss landed on the corner of his lips. After a brief, fleeting taste, she pulled back, only to find him standing there like a wooden statue—or rather, like a cat that had frozen after a sudden shock.
Jiang Luoyue let out a soft laugh. The sound snapped Li Changting back to his senses, his face turning so red it practically smoked.
“Jun… Junior Sister,” he muttered bashfully.
Jiang Luoyue continued to smile sweetly. While Li Changting was still intoxicated by her smile, she reached out and grasped him (…) in a certain place. A sharp jolt of electricity seemed to shoot through his entire body.
“Junior Sister! You… you shouldn’t…” Terrified, Li Changting grabbed her hand.
“Senior Brother, why do you only ever call me ‘Junior Sister’? It makes you look silly,” she said playfully. He turned his face away in shyness.
“Senior Brother, can’t you be a bit more brave? I’m the girl, and I’ve already gone this far. Do I have to keep taking the lead?” Her voice was like a demon’s temptation, and she blinked her innocent eyes at him.
Li Changting began to wonder if the woman before him was a demon from the illusion meant to bewitch his soul, but at this point, he didn’t want to hesitate anymore. If this was an illusion, it meant his recovery was fake anyway. If he was going to die regardless, it was better to die after being with her…
Though, it would be quite embarrassing to tell others. While other cultivators died fighting for treasures or under heavenly tribulations, he would die under a woman’s skirt—and do so quite willingly.
Li Changting cupped her face and kissed her earnestly, while his other hand began to fumble with his own robes.
“Why aren’t you undressing me?” Jiang Luoyue watched him strip himself bare while leaving her clothes untouched, a smirk on her face.
He flushed. “In a moment.” He reached out with trembling hands.
It was as natural as a fish in water, as blissful as ascending a celestial mountain. Li Changting, still suspecting this was a dream before his death, cherished every second of the encounter. His kisses were forceful yet reverent, as if he wanted to knead Jiang Luoyue into his very soul so he would remember her in the next life.
Afterward, both fell into a deep, exhausted sleep. Jiang Luoyue’s energy was completely spent, and Luan Yao had even given her a warning. But before she could question why the system had been “spectating,” she blacked out. Li Changting remained unconscious as his body focused all its resources on healing.
Luan Yao, being a remnant consciousness rather than a true machine, couldn’t stand the sight of the two of them lying there uncovered, so she managed to clothe them both.
“Sigh, I’m just a leftover shard of consciousness, and yet I have to help you get dressed,” Luan Yao grumbled quietly.
Jiang Luoyue woke up first, only to find herself lying in a proper bed. Li Changting was on a couch nearby, his chest rising and falling steadily.
He’s still breathing. She breathed a sigh of relief.
She scanned her surroundings. Dark purple curtains hung from the windows, giving the room an elegant feel. As she stepped out of bed, someone entered. A woman holding a tray stood before her, her face devoid of expression. There was a bowl of medicine on the tray.
“What is this?” Jiang Luoyue asked warily.
The woman remained silent and motionless. When Jiang Luoyue tried to walk past her, the woman mirrored her movements, blocking her path perfectly. Seeing the lack of emotion in the woman’s eyes, Jiang Luoyue finally realized—this woman was a soulless puppet.
