- The Junior Sister Isn't Flirtatious At All; It's All Their Fault for Being Too Seductive
- Chapter 70 - The Fluff Enthusiast
Jiang Luoyue looked down at Fuxia. She respected the child’s autonomy. “Is it alright with you?”
Fuxia put on a serious little face. “It is fine, but not for long.”
Upon hearing this, the female cultivator laughed and pulled Fuxia into a tight embrace, nuzzling her soft cheek. “You are so cute, little one!”
Seeing this, other eager cultivators began to swarm around them. However, Fuxia had a bit of a temper. After being held by five different people, she pouted and fussed, demanding to return to Jiang Luoyue’s arms.
“I am Sister Luoyue’s spirit beast,” the little girl grumbled.
The subtext was clear: If you want to hold a spirit beast, go raise your own!
Her reaction drew laughter from the crowd. Jiang Luoyue quickly patted her back to soothe her. Fuxia wasn’t exactly angry, just impatient; she simply didn’t have the social battery to deal with so many people at once.
On the day they set out for the Demon Abyss, cultivators from numerous sects gathered together.
Yun Kaiji of the Xiyun Sect stood at the entrance of the Abyss, leading a group of his sect’s most talented junior brothers and sisters. Yue Wenqiu went over to greet him. Since Jiang Luoyue was surrounded by so many people, she didn’t follow.
Yun Kaiji said something to Yue Wenqiu, then suddenly flashed a smile at her, waving his folding fan. Jiang Luoyue returned a polite smile as a greeting.
Even cultivators from Ziwei Peak had arrived.
“With Luo Xiuping and Senior Brother Li gone, I’m surprised Ziwei Peak hasn’t collapsed yet,” Jiang Luoxing said in astonishment. It was like a family losing its main pillars of support.
“The second senior sister, Liu Ying, is a decent prospect,” Li Changting noted. “Though, compared to you all, she’s still a bit lacking.”
Jiang Luoxing felt a bit sheepish. Originally, he hadn’t even possessed a spiritual root. While Lin Xi and Yue Wenqiu were naturally gifted, their rapid cultivation speed was largely thanks to Jiang Luoyue.
A pity Senior Brother Li can’t experience that yet, Jiang Luoxing thought. He didn’t realize he was looking at Li Changting with a gaze full of pity and a hint of smugness.
Li Changting was baffled. Why is he looking at me like that?
Liu Ying noticed them, her eyes filled with a mix of loss and longing. She had been supporting Ziwei Peak all on her own with no help. During this time, she had endured countless cold glares while acting like a “den mother” to a group of disciples with mediocre talent.
Noticing her gaze, Li Changting turned his head away helplessly. Jiang Luoyue, lacking the memories of her original self, felt no deep connection to the Ziwei Peak cultivators and merely spared Liu Ying a passing glance.
“Eldest Senior Sister, aren’t those our Eldest Senior Brother and Junior Sister Jiang? Have they joined the Dongyue Sect?” a disciple asked.
“Who knows? Why concern ourselves with them?” Liu Ying turned away, no longer wanting to look. “Hurry up and keep up.”
However, Li Changting suddenly appeared before them. “Junior Sister Liu, you shouldn’t let them go in.”
Liu Ying was already at the Golden Core stage, so she could be considered a combatant. But for any disciple below the Golden Core stage, entering the Demon Abyss was essentially a death sentence if they encountered danger.
“Do you want to leave?” Liu Ying turned to the junior brothers and sisters behind her.
They hesitated, not answering directly. It was clear they wanted to leave but were too embarrassed to say so, as they were well aware of their own limitations.
“Why must you force them to come?” Li Changting sighed helplessly, pressing two bottles of pills into Liu Ying’s hand.
Liu Ying pushed them back. “I just want people to know that Ziwei Peak still exists.”
At this moment, she had no desire to see Li Changting or the others. When Jiang Luoyue had mysteriously returned to the sect earlier, the Sect Leader Luo Xiuping and Zhao Ziyuan had vanished. Later, news of Luo Xiuping’s death arrived. Ziwei Peak was a small sect, and since the disciples hadn’t been to the House of Wind and Clouds, they didn’t know what had actually happened that day—they only knew Jiang Luoyue had been present.
Liu Ying assumed Jiang Luoyue had murdered Luo Xiuping.
“You betrayed the sect and murdered the Sect Leader! How do you have the face to act like good people in front of us?” a disciple standing behind Liu Ying shouted angrily.
His voice wasn’t quiet, and he made no effort to hide it. Since cultivators have keen hearing, everyone in the vicinity heard him. Heads turned toward them. Even though they were about to enter the Demon Abyss, a bit of sect drama was always welcome entertainment.
Jiang Luoyue frowned. With a wave of her hand, a surge of spiritual energy pushed the Ziwei Peak group back several steps.
Liu Ying was shocked. She hadn’t expected Jiang Luoyue’s cultivation to be so profound. “What is your current realm?”
There was a massive gap between Golden Core and Soul Transformation, with the Nascent Soul stage in between. Naturally, Liu Ying felt her power was unfathomable.
“Soul Transformation,” Jiang Luoyue said coolly. “In our group, the weakest is at the Nascent Soul stage. You all should go back.”
The onlookers were stunned. They hadn’t realized this female cultivator was so powerful, nor that she could hold the hearts of so many elite men.
Liu Ying felt insulted. “You killed the Sect Leader and stole our resources, and now you use these words to humiliate your former sect mates?”
Jiang Luoyue didn’t feel like dealing with this woman, who was acting like a furious lioness.
“Liu Ying, stop talking nonsense. Things are not as you think,” Li Changting said, grabbing her arm with a frown.
The surrounding cultivators pricked up their ears even further.
“Then what is it? You, a woman, cohabitating with so many men—you actually have the nerve to show your face in public!” Liu Ying was livid. The current Ziwei Peak was impoverished beyond belief, surviving solely on her strength as a Golden Core cultivator.
“We are all following Luoyue of our own free will,” Yue Wenqiu’s refined voice rang out.
Most of the cultivators knew Young Master Wenqiu of the Dongyue Sect. They couldn’t believe even he had been bewitched by this woman. However, looking closely, she was indeed breathtakingly beautiful. Even with a cold, frowning expression, her beauty was peerless.
“Sister has done nothing wrong. If anything, it is we who pestered her, and she had no choice but to soothe us,” Jiang Luoxing added, speaking up for her.
“I’ve stayed in the Demon Realm for too long. I didn’t realize that women of the immortal sects were so loose with their tongues these days,” Lin Xi released his aura. The pressure was so intense that many cultivators present nearly lost their breath.
“Lord Demon King, please don’t be angry!” The soft, milky voice of the little dumpling Fuxia rang out as she grabbed Lin Xi’s hem, advising him in a childish tone.
Jiang Luoyue stifled a laugh. She hadn’t expected this little one to be such a good actress.
Lin Xi’s aura immediately softened. What is this little Black Tortoise doing, calling me ‘Lord Demon King’? I can’t afford to be addressed like that by her!
“What? Even the Demon King is with her?” the cultivators whispered among themselves, clicking their tongues in wonder.
“Is the Demon Realm planning to cooperate with us?”
“It’s not that strange, is it? The Demon race is fairly close to us.”
“Yeah… the goddess I have a crush on is a ‘Fluff Enthusiast.’ She only likes playing with demon cultivators, waaah.”
“A lot of my friends are Fluff Enthusiasts too. Do you think the Demon King’s true form is the softest to touch? Is that why he’s the favorite?”
Jiang Luoyue’s forehead was covered in imaginary black lines. How on earth did this turn into a discussion about being a Fluff Enthusiast?
