- The Junior Sister Isn't Flirtatious At All; It's All Their Fault for Being Too Seductive
- Chapter 43 - Sincere to Every Man!
Jiang Luoyue wasn’t lying—she was sincere toward every man she went to bed with. As long as the love was real in the moment, why worry about how many pieces her heart was divided into?
Of course, Yue Wenqiu had been an accident; their relationship had already been established by the time she transmigrated into this body.
After soaking in the spiritual spring, Jiang Luoyue felt her body had indeed recovered. As she dressed, she noticed the lingering, reluctant look in Gu Wangfeng’s eyes.
“I’ll see you out,” Gu Wangfeng said, a faint smile playing on his lips, though his gaze was incredibly complex.
Jiang Luoyue hugged him, nestling into his embrace. “Mm. I’m going now.”
She was truly grateful to Gu Wangfeng. He had pulled her into his realm specifically to heal her, then sent her back immediately so as not to waste any of her time.
When Jiang Luoyue’s spirit returned to her body, she tested her fingers by moving them. Sensing the movement, Yue Wenqiu immediately leaned in.
“Luoyue, you’re awake! How do you feel? I tried to give you your medicine, but you couldn’t swallow it,” Yue Wenqiu said anxiously, placing his hand against her forehead.
“I feel much better,” Jiang Luoyue replied.
Yue Wenqiu found it hard to believe. Only yesterday, she had been deathly pale, immobile, and deep in a coma.
Jiang Luoyue stammered out an explanation. “Well, you know Gu Wangfeng is in the Taixu Realm… he pulled my spirit inside last night, and we… well, I’m healed now.”
Yue Wenqiu understood instantly.
Jiang Luoyue peeked at him cautiously, but when she saw he wasn’t angry, she breathed a sigh of relief. In truth, Yue Wenqiu felt somewhat fortunate. He was glad Luoyue had the fortune of being with Gu Wangfeng; otherwise, there was no telling how long it would have taken for her to recover from that backlash.
“If only he could leave the Taixu Realm,” Yue Wenqiu sighed. If that were possible, Jiang Luoyue would suffer much less hardship.
However, the story of Gu Wangfeng was well-known throughout the cultivation world. When he became the youngest Great Ascension cultivator in history, everyone had rejoiced—until the prophecy of fate was revealed. It was said that the moment he left the Taixu Realm would be the moment the world began to crumble. Because of that prophecy and his Heart-Eating Curse, Gu Wangfeng remained sequestered in the Taixu Realm, never daring to appear.
“Are we still going to the Fengman Pavilion auction?” Jiang Luoyue asked.
“If you want to go, we’ll go,” Yue Wenqiu said tenderly, stroking her face. “We’ll have a look; perhaps we’ll find some treasures.”
Jiang Luoyue nodded and climbed out of bed. Yue Wenqiu quickly brought her clothes, helping her dress layer by layer. Being pampered like a small child made her feel slightly embarrassed.
“You recovered too quickly, which might arouse suspicion. It’s best if only you, I, and Luoxing know the truth. Seven-Star Grass is precious, so it’s still worth keeping some as a backup,” Yue Wenqiu added. “I’ll go tell Jiang Luoxing to bring some food.”
Jiang Luoyue nodded and sat obediently at the dining table.
In the kitchen, Jiang Luoxing was busy cooking. He hadn’t known exactly when Jiang Luoyue would wake up, but cultivators could use spiritual energy or warming artifacts to keep food fresh. He had prepared the meal so his sister could eat whenever she was ready.
Furthermore, he had a gluttonous little turtle to feed.
The Cracked-Shell Turtle was perched on his shoulder, eyes glued to the delicacies in the pot, drool practically dripping onto his clothes. Jiang Luoxing grumbled under his breath while the little turtle apologized piteously. It couldn’t be helped—this was its first time leaving the secret realm, and it had no idea the outside world had such delicious things.
Since Jiang Luoxing used spiritual rice, plants, and beast meat, the food was not only full of flavor but also bursting with spiritual energy. The turtle simply couldn’t help itself. If it weren’t for the fact that Jiang Luoyue had nearly died to save this little creature, Jiang Luoxing’s temper wouldn’t be this restrained. He felt like he was on the verge of losing it and smashing the turtle against the floor.
“Luoyue is awake. Bring the food over,” Yue Wenqiu called out from the kitchen doorway. He never entered the kitchen himself; since Jiang Luoxing was the designated chef, he didn’t plan on trying to win Luoyue over through cooking. Having delivered the message, Yue Wenqiu waited to help carry the dishes.
The little turtle chirped, “Big Sister is awake! That’s great!”
“Are you sure you aren’t just happy because it’s time to eat?” Jiang Luoxing laughed as he saw the turtle splay its limbs and wag its tail.
“No! I really was worried about her!” the turtle argued, standing up like a falsely accused suspect and pointing a tiny claw in protest.
“If you’re hungry, let’s go eat,” Yue Wenqiu said, poking the turtle’s shell before walking off with two plates of food.
Jiang Luoyue sat waiting for her meal. When she saw them enter, she beamed, her cute dimples appearing on her cheeks.
The little turtle immediately lunged toward her. “Sister, it’s so good that you’re awake! Waaa, Sister, I was so scared!”
Its childish, high-pitched wails echoed through the room. Jiang Luoyue patted it with a mix of helplessness and amusement. “I’m fine now. Let’s eat.”
“Sister, how did you get well so fast?” Jiang Luoxing asked, puzzled. Yesterday, the Xiyun Sect Alchemist had said her condition was grave.
Yue Wenqiu cut in quickly, “Gu Wangfeng helped.”
The little turtle looked back and forth between Jiang Luoyue and Yue Wenqiu, wondering who this “Gu Wangfeng” was. Jiang Luoxing, however, understood immediately.
Yue Wenqiu caught the turtle’s confused gaze and placed a piece of fish in front of it. Although Jiang Luoyue liked the creature, they hadn’t formed a contract yet, so Yue Wenqiu didn’t fully trust it.
“Thank you!” The little turtle took a deep breath before devouring the fish, smacking its beak loudly. “So delicious! So delicious!”
“Your table manners are hideous,” Jiang Luoxing grumbled.
The turtle looked up, dazed. It looked at Jiang Luoxing, then at Jiang Luoyue. “Then how am I supposed to eat to look good?”
It had always eaten this way; was there really a “good” or “bad” way to eat? The turtle asked with such earnestness that it seemed ready to treat this as a serious character flaw to be corrected.
Seeing its dazed expression, Jiang Luoyue found it incredibly adorable. “It’s fine. Eat however you like. Just try to go a bit slower so you don’t choke.”
“Oh, okay,” the turtle nodded obediently.
“Wait a second!” Jiang Luoyue suddenly set her chopsticks down with a clack. She knew she had forgotten something, and it just hit her. “Where is my Eldest Senior Brother?”
“Why didn’t anyone call him?” She looked at Yue Wenqiu and Jiang Luoxing.
“He’s refining pills and told us not to disturb him,” Jiang Luoxing said, blinking innocently. “Besides, cultivators can take Inedia Pills; one pill lasts two or three days.”
To a cultivator, eating was optional, but since Jiang Luoxing’s ingredients were rich in spiritual energy—far superior to the impure food of the mortal world—even Yue Wenqiu ate every meal.
“Let’s save some for him,” Yue Wenqiu suggested.
Jiang Luoyue nodded, thinking to herself how thoughtful Yue Wenqiu was.
Jiang Luoxing, however, was speechless. Is this guy really going to gain Sister’s favor that easily? He sat there in silence, quietly fuming.
