The Film Queen’s Little Bunny Wife - Chapter 43
In the evening, the production team tallied up the scores for the “eating” challenge from the day.
To Tu Jiaojiao’s surprise, Lu Qian took the first place.
Although Ling Hanyan was led around by the young girls for an afternoon of non-stop eating, she still couldn’t surpass Lu Qian.
He had bought fresh fruit and sold it, eating a lot of things along the way some exchanged for fruit, and others bought with the money he earned.
He was very determined to get first place, so he spent all the money he earned, besides the principal that needed to be returned to the production team, on food.
Even as they gathered in the courtyard waiting for the day’s results to be announced, he had a box of rice rolls and a bowl of qingbu liang (sweet soup) next to him.
Ling Hanyan was the second place winner and could move into the resort cabin.
Tu Jiaojiao was very happy with this result because the resort cabins were built right on the beach, facing the sea.
Although they weren’t as luxurious as the suites, their advantage was being a private, standalone wooden house away from the crowds. Once the staff left at night, it would be a small world belonging only to the two of them.
Elder Yin Dengzhu had stayed at the Cat and Board Game Bar until mid-afternoon, when he was invited for tea by a group of aunties who grew up watching his TV dramas. Thus, he got third place and was eligible to stay in the studio apartment.
After seeing the environment of the studio apartment, he remarked with emotion that it resembled a place he had lived in for a year and a half when he was young, making it a valuable opportunity to “reflect on past hardships.”
With the three most comfortable accommodations taken, the remaining two, Dou Tian and Mei Feifei, were nervous and cheered each other on.
“Fourth place, Mei Feifei, moves into the beach tent,” the staff member announced directly, not keeping them in suspense.
Mei Feifei breathed a sigh of relief, righteously grabbing the tent and rejecting Lu Qian’s invitation to share his room.
Her younger brother was always fond of watching drama unfold. Despite knowing each other for so many years, no spark of romance had ever ignited between them.
Yet, there were many fan shippers who insisted on pairing them up. Couldn’t he be a bit more mindful? She would rather sleep on the beach than in his suite.
Realizing she couldn’t get carried away, she cautiously asked Dou Tian, “If you don’t mind, Little Sweet Bean, want to squeeze in with me?”
Unexpectedly, the latter was overjoyed and waved her hand, refusing, “No need! The person in charge of Red Sand Beach said that if I didn’t have a place to stay, I could sleep at the shop tonight. I was so afraid of getting second to last place that I only ate a tiny bit of dinner.”
Tu Jiaojiao, keeping an eye and ear out for everything, heard their conversation and desperately wanted to laugh. She “goo-gooed” and told Ling Hanyan.
Ling Hanyan curled her eyes into a smile and stroked the rabbit’s furry ears.
This serene and beautiful moment was perfectly captured by the camera.
That night, silence settled all around, broken only by the sound of the waves impacting the beach, one after another.
Ling Hanyan turned off the camera, signaling to Tu Jiaojiao that she could transform back into human form.
However, the little rabbit retracted her head, lazily pressed against Little White, and played possum, not moving a muscle.
Ling Hanyan held Tu Jiaojiao’s fluffy paw and asked her in a gentle voice, “Jiaojiao, are you tired?”
“Goo.” Tu Jiaojiao pulled back her paw, letting out a meaningless sound.
“If you’re tired, then let’s go to sleep early,” Ling Hanyan assumed all was fine. If her rabbit was still willing to talk to her, it meant she was okay.
“Goo-goo.” Tu Jiaojiao still let out two meaningless sounds, clearly unwilling to accept that answer.
Her big, black eyes held an emotion that Ling Hanyan couldn’t quite decipher.
“What is it, Jiaojiao?” Trying to get attention multiple times without speaking properly definitely meant something was wrong.
Ling Hanyan decided to put down what she was doing and focus on coaxing her rabbit.
She lay on her side on the bed, holding Tu Jiaojiao close, feeling the soft, warm sensation of the rabbit fur against her lower abdomen, gently stroking Tu Jiaojiao’s neck intermittently.
After a long wait, Tu Jiaojiao finally answered in a soft voice, “A little sad, but I shouldn’t be sad.”
Ling Hanyan had already done so much for her; she shouldn’t feel sad just because Ling Hanyan couldn’t introduce her as something more.
She had already gained things she never dared to dream of before. She shouldn’t be so greedy.
Ling Hanyan felt the rabbit’s emotions turn complex. She leaned over and rubbed her own face against Tu Jiaojiao’s damp nose. “Jiaojiao, can you tell me everything you’re thinking?”
Tu Jiaojiao still shook her head, inwardly feeling that her desire to monopolize Ling Hanyan and ruin her career was becoming despicable.
“I can’t guess. Jiaojiao, if you don’t tell me, I’ll never be able to guess.”
Ling Hanyan stopped her movements and looked down, sounding a little forlorn.
She wasn’t making an excuse; she was merely stating a fact about herself.
Indeed, Tu Jiaojiao understood. Her point of sadness was too subtle; with Ling Hanyan’s reserved nature, she definitely wouldn’t guess.
She organized her words and said, “I… I want to stand by your side with another identity. I don’t want to always be a lucky audience member.”
So that was the reason. Ling Hanyan was relieved and kissed Tu Jiaojiao’s forehead. “We will go public. Didn’t I promise my sister?”
“Mm, I know. I’ll help you take off the sparkles.” Tu Jiaojiao knew the answer, but her emotions had simply gotten the better of her today, causing her sadness.
While playing the board game, she learned that Yanyan had many fans. And given the chance, they might also be willing to do the things she did for Ling Hanyan.
The thought that her identity wasn’t unique and that she might be replaceable without the contract made her start to feel scared.
Now, hearing Ling Hanyan personally give the answer she desired, Tu Jiaojiao felt reassured, and her expression brightened considerably.
She flipped over, refusing to think about the unhappy things.
Tu Jiaojiao used her paws to scratch at the tips of Ling Hanyan’s hair, where several of the sparkly sequins she wore on her cheeks during her performance today were stuck.
She had noticed these sparkles earlier, but she had been preoccupied with her inner sadness and kept herself from touching them.
Now that they had talked things out, she could safely pick off the sparkles.
Ling Hanyan quietly maintained her side-lying posture, making it easy for Tu Jiaojiao to move. A smile she didn’t even realize was there touched her lips.
Knowing Tu Jiaojiao longed for them to go public made her very happy and look forward to that day.
“Are you done?” When Tu Jiaojiao stopped moving, her entire body went soft, and her eyes narrowed into a watery, somewhat dreamy state.
Ling Hanyan looked at her with a dangerous glint in her eyes, her voice unconsciously husky.
“Done.” Tu Jiaojiao rubbed against her arm, her tone returning to its usual vitality.
“Change back, please.” Ling Hanyan leaned over, propping herself up on either side of the rabbit, and kissed Tu Jiaojiao’s forehead.
“Let me hold you. Today on the stage, I saw you from below, and Jiaojiao was so tiny, so cute. If there hadn’t been so many people watching, I definitely would have kissed you.”
Tu Jiaojiao hummed, immediately blushing at the thought of being naked after transforming back.
She raised her two front paws to shield her chest and tightly closed her long lashed eyes.
Swiftly, the white, soft fur receded into the skin, and the fluffy body was no more. In its place was the girl’s smooth skin, delicate face, and everything else, all laid bare for Ling Hanyan to see.
The enlarged body filled the space Ling Hanyan had just created by propping up her arms.
The two tightly embraced each other, feeling the softness against their chests, their bodies turning languid and warm. As they inhaled each other’s scent, their faces gradually flushed.
Perhaps this was a good moment.
“Yanyan…” Thinking this, Tu Jiaojiao called out Ling Hanyan’s name.
Her voice carried an undetectable seductive quality, like a soft feather tickling Ling Hanyan’s ear.
“I… I’m very familiar with your body.” Her eyes were bright, she hooked her legs around Ling Hanyan’s waist, and asked softly, “Are you ready…?”
The young girl’s first invitation occurred, without warning, inside a small cabin by the sea.
With her words, Ling Hanyan’s desire was also inexplicably awakened.
Twenty-eight years of suppression and forgetting were ignited by a small spark named Jiaojiao.
“I want it.”
Ling Hanyan sat up, her actions contradicting her inner self.
She casually re-buttoned the two shirt buttons she had carelessly undone earlier, seemingly trying to prove something with this action.
The sea breeze blew in through the window, making Ling Hanyan’s mind even cooler and calmer. She tightly gripped the bedsheet, striving to suppress herself.
“Wait until we go home, Jiaojiao, don’t rush. Wait until we go home. It’s not safe here.”
Although the production team had said they would give the artists privacy at night after turning off the cameras, Ling Hanyan refused to gamble with her Jiaojiao.
What if the production team decided to spring a surprise check on the rooms at night? Wouldn’t Jiaojiao’s unique delicate moans be heard by others?
The mere thought of this set a blazing fire in Ling Hanyan’s heart.
Her Jiaojiao’s once in a lifetime tenderness should not be casually taken in an insecure environment.
Ling Hanyan wanted to give Tu Jiaojiao the best possible experience, one she could remember for a lifetime.
In a few more days, when the show’s recording was over, they could go home…
By then, she would prepare well.
“Okay.” Tu Jiaojiao was very happy after extending the invitation, but deep down, there was still a thread of fear.
However, she had made thorough psychological preparations; her only fear was the unfamiliar environment and the unknown transition from theory to practice.
It was a good thing Yanyan didn’t follow her lead and act on it, or she would have been mortified.
But! Yanyan’s attitude was a huge problem!
She had just acted like a fish afraid of being caught, quickly putting on her clothes and protecting her.
She wasn’t a monster; why did she have to button up her shirt and not even show her collarbone?
Thinking this, Tu Jiaojiao puffed up with frustration.
The more she thought, the more unfair it seemed. She quietly extended her leg, seemingly accidentally hooking Ling Hanyan’s waist. Feeling that the restraint was sufficient, she called out Ling Hanyan’s name.
In Ling Hanyan’s unsuspecting response, she gave a slight tug.
Ling Hanyan was pulled over unprepared, drawing her close.
“Yanyan, I still want a hug.” Tu Jiaojiao opened her arms with a grin, acting entirely spoiled.
“Silly rabbit, don’t do that move again. What if I accidentally crushed you because I wasn’t ready?” Although she said that, Ling Hanyan still happily reached out and pulled the girl into her embrace.
