The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 90
Chapter 90
August 1st was the birthday of both Su Yi’an and Lan Yin. It was also the day they had invited He Xia and the others to the Lan family estate to celebrate.
Since it was the weekend, Lan Yan didn’t have to work. However, she still woke up at the crack of dawn; she had things to take care of today. The weather outside was perfect—neither too hot nor too cold.
“Rabbit, time to get up.”
Lan Yan gently patted the face snuggled against her neck, pulled back the quilt, and sat up. A pair of arms immediately reached out from behind, locking her in a firm embrace. A voice thick with the laziness of sleep murmured, “Sister, it’s still early. Stay and sleep with me for a little longer.”
Lan Yan stifled a laugh but didn’t push her away. “How did you become such a sleepyhead?”
Actually, she couldn’t blame the little Alpha. Over the last few days, the Alpha’s injury had healed, so whenever they had free time, she would cling to Lan Yan, wanting to get up to mischief. But Lan Yan didn’t know what was wrong—the wine-scented pheromones she usually loved made her feel like vomiting the moment she smelled them now.
Her heart still loved her little Alpha, but she simply couldn’t stand the smell of those pheromones. Her period was also a few days late this month. She knew that some Omegas experienced these symptoms after becoming pregnant, but the problem was that her little Alpha was supposedly sterile. She had only ever been with her little Alpha.
Therefore, Lan Yan suspected there might be an issue with her health. She planned to have Jiang Mu take a look. Jiang Mu was already on his way; it wouldn’t do for her, the host, to still be in bed when he arrived.
“Sister…”
The moment Su Yi’an was fully awakened, her sleepiness vanished. Smelling the grape fragrance in front of her, she had other ideas. Naturally, her hands began to wander.
“Sister, my injury is all better,” Su Yi’an said with a hint of grievance in her voice, though her movements weren’t slow at all. You couldn’t blame her for being impatient; since her identity was exposed, she hadn’t truly “touched” her Sister. Her Sister had promised that they could once her injury healed—she hadn’t said it directly, but Su Yi’an knew that was the meaning.
She didn’t know why, but while her Sister didn’t resist her touch, every time her pheromones were at their strongest and she couldn’t help but want to mark her, her Sister would push her away. It had been like this for several nights in a row, leaving her hanging. She was nearly being driven mad by the frustration. At twenty-two or twenty-three, in the prime of her youth, with a beauty in her arms on a fine morning, who could stand it? Certainly not Su Yi’an.
As the belt of her bathrobe fell away, Lan Yan felt her nape being kissed heavily, followed by a kiss as hot as fire. She actually wanted to be intimate with the little Alpha too, so she didn’t resist and even responded. But the moment she was pressed into the quilt and smelled that wine-scented pheromone, Lan Yan couldn’t hold it back—she let out a dry heave.
Su Yi’an pulled away, looking utterly defeated. She even sniffed her own body. “Sister, do I smell bad? I’m sorry.”
It happened again. People talked about the “seven-year itch,” but they hadn’t even been married a month and her Sister was already starting to find her repulsive? Since getting married, she and her Sister hadn’t bothered to suppress their scents; she usually only smelled of her own pheromones and her Sister’s grapes. She bathed frequently; she couldn’t possibly smell bad. She felt like her Sister just didn’t like her anymore; otherwise, why would she gag every time she touched her?
“Little Crybaby, tell me, is my Sister disgusted by me?” Su Yi’an asked sadly while putting on her clothes.
The System, which had been frequently offline lately and had no idea what had just happened, slowly typed out a question mark. However, it had become much shrewder recently and understood that the Host was depressed because of her wife. It comforted her: “No way. If your Sister were disgusted by you, she wouldn’t have married you. Besides, she loves you so much…”
Su Yi’an was instantly comforted by that last sentence. She had only asked casually and didn’t expect the Crybaby System to help figure out what was wrong with her Sister anyway. She quickly pushed the System to the back of her mind and joyfully brought out the clothes her Sister was to wear today. “Sister, what do you want for breakfast? A sandwich, noodles, or dumplings…?”
System: “…” It truly couldn’t detect things outside of the missions, and it even messed up many things within them, but the Host was being far too dismissive. They had worked together for a long time, and it had even saved up a lot of points for her recently! Looking at Zhan Ming’s progress, it wouldn’t be long before it had to leave the Host. The Host didn’t even know how to cherish it; her eyes were only for her wife. It was simply too much.
Su Yi’an’s expression shifted quickly, but the hint of hurt and sadness in her eyes didn’t escape Lan Yan. After changing into the clothes the little Alpha handed her, Lan Yan finally explained, “Rabbit, I’m not trying to reject you. I just haven’t been feeling well lately. I called Doctor Jiang; he’ll be here shortly.”
She hadn’t wanted to say anything to keep the little Alpha from worrying, but she was also afraid of her overthinking.
Su Yi’an’s face turned pale. “Unwell? Where do you feel unwell, Sister? Why didn’t you tell me sooner? No, Doctor Jiang alone isn’t enough. I’ll call all the family doctors over.” She didn’t distrust Jiang Mu; she just wanted to ensure her Sister was absolutely fine.
“Little Crybaby, check quickly—what’s wrong with Sister’s body? I don’t care how many points it costs!” Su Yi’an remembered the System again.
System: “…Sorry, Host. It’s not a matter of points. Little Crybaby doesn’t have the authority or function to scan her.” It couldn’t track routes accurately, and it certainly couldn’t check Lan Yan’s health. Even for Su Yi’an, it could only sense the basics.
Lan Yan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at Su Yi’an’s nervousness. She had to stop her from calling more people. “Rabbit, it’s nothing major. It’s just that lately, I can’t stand the smell of your pheromones, which is why…” As for the matter of her period, she was too embarrassed to say it, even though they were as intimate as could be.
Su Yi’an froze. So, that was why her Sister had rejected her for several nights? As long as she didn’t hate her, it was fine—but she couldn’t be happy if her Sister was sick. It wasn’t about her own desires; she was genuinely worried about her health. In this ABO world, pheromone issues were a big deal. Her Sister was an Omega and they were lovers; there was no reason she should suddenly be unable to stand her scent when she used to love it.
Su Yi’an still felt uneasy and wanted to call someone. Having missed the key piece of information, even Su Yi’an, who had been researching the ABO world recently, didn’t realize her Sister might be pregnant.
Then, Jiang Mu arrived.
Jiang Mu stared at Su Yi’an with a peculiar look, making a chill run down her spine—just like that time he looked at her before wanting to give her a shot. Su Yi’an quietly hid behind Lan Yan. “Sister is unwell. It has nothing to do with me.” This time, Jiang Mu could forget about finding an excuse to poke her with a needle. Her Sister wasn’t even mad at her; she wasn’t going to let Jiang Mu mess with her like a fool again.
Lan Yan knew the little Alpha had been traumatized by the last injection. She felt sorry for her but also found it a bit funny. She went along with her, completely shielding her body, and said to Jiang Mu, “It really has nothing to do with Rabbit. Speak—what’s the problem?”
The curiosity on Jiang Mu’s face didn’t fade, but he stopped staring at Su Yi’an with that creepy gaze. After sitting on the sofa, he looked at the test results in his hand and said slowly, “Lan Lan, this matter… really was done by your Rabbit.”
After a pause, Jiang Mu added, “Avoid intimacy for the first three months. As for the rest, I assume you two wives know what to do.” Most people knew the basics; he only mentioned it because he didn’t quite trust the little Alpha’s self-control. Jiang Mu knew Lan Yan—since she chose to be with this Alpha, there was no way she would mess around with anyone else. Therefore, this child could only be the little Alpha’s.
What puzzled him was that the little Alpha still showed signs of being sterile. Logically, she shouldn’t have been able to get an Omega pregnant, and certainly not this fast. They had only been married for a short while and she was already expecting. Could it be that Lan Lan and her Alpha were both exceptionally gifted—that even if one was sterile, they could still conceive? There were many things in the world that science couldn’t explain. This was a possibility; after all, everyone’s constitution is different.
Lan Yan was quick to react. Reading between the lines of Jiang Mu’s words and expression, she placed her hand on her lower abdomen in a daze. Her and Rabbit’s child? It would be a lie to say she wasn’t happy—after all, it was a child with the person she loved—but mostly she was shocked. She had thought she and Rabbit would never have children in this lifetime.
Su Yi’an naturally saw Lan Yan’s small movement. With Jiang Mu’s hint being so obvious, she wasn’t a fool either. Her thoughts spun for a second before she realized what was happening. Her Sister’s period hadn’t come lately; how had she not noticed sooner? But… they were having a child!
The smile on Su Yi’an’s face grew wider and wider. Without a second thought, she opened the System Store and used all her points to exchange for a Fetal Protection Pill. She had noticed this pill before—it could resolve all negative reactions for a pregnant woman, allow for a smooth delivery within ten minutes, and reduce labor pain by 90%. It was essentially a miracle drug for any mother. Naturally, the cost was high. She hadn’t had enough points before, but after completing several missions in a row, it was just enough.
Su Yi’an moved incredibly fast, dissolving the pill in water and handing it to Lan Yan: “Sister, have some water first.” The entire process took barely ten seconds; the System didn’t even have time to react. By the time it did, Lan Yan had already finished the half-cup of water. Lan Yan rarely refused anything the little Alpha gave her, and besides, she actually felt a bit thirsty.
System: “…Aren’t you afraid of an accident with the final mission, Host?” The System felt that even a child wasn’t as important as the Host’s life. Furthermore, with modern medicine being so advanced, things usually turned out fine. That pill only reduced pain; spending so many points seemed like a loss.
Su Yi’an wasn’t afraid. The milestone for Zhan Ming’s career was approaching. Besides, she never intended to use points to return to her original world. Her parents there were gone; she had nothing to miss. In this world, however, she had parents, a wife, and now a child. To her, her Sister was the most important. She was more afraid of her Sister being in pain. If spending some points could spare her Sister a lot of suffering, wasn’t that worth it? A machine like the System would never understand that.
“Sister, thank you.” Su Yi’an hugged Lan Yan tightly.
Lan Yan smiled. “Thank me for what? I love children too, Rabbit.”
Seeing the two about to get all lovey-dovey again, Jiang Mu quickly stood up. “Didn’t you say you were going to the estate today? Let’s go.”
