The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 82
Chapter 82
To an Alpha, being told they had “married into” a family—as Madman Wang put it—was a direct insult.
However, Su Yi’an acted as if she hadn’t heard it. She simply checked the time and stood up, having no intention of continuing this farce with him. “There’s no need for mahjong. I’ll give you the land. We’ll trade it for your plot in the north of the city; I won’t ask for anything else.”
As for whether that land would still hold any value once it was in his hands, that wasn’t her concern. She had only come to this meeting to keep him steady and prevent him from acting out during her planned timeframe. Once her plan was in motion, this man would no longer be a threat.
Having said her piece, Su Yi’an casually picked up a grape, popped it into her mouth, and bit down. The sweet and sour juice made her eyes narrow with pleasure.
“Miss, the people have been rescued,” one of her men whispered as she reached the door.
“Mmh.” Su Yi’an waved a hand to her subordinates. “Give the contract to President Wang. Oh, and take care of all the cameras in here.”
Did he really think she didn’t know what he was trying to do by throwing those Omegas at her? It was genuinely disgusting. The clashing scents of various pheromones had clung to her clothes; it was foul, and she wanted to get home and shower as soon as possible.
Her effortless, easy-going demeanor caused Madman Wang’s expression to shift. He knew this version of Su Yi’an all too well—it was just like the time with the car race. She had known he’d tampered with the vehicle, yet she sat in it without changing her expression. In the end, he was the one who ended up in the hospital.
To this day, he couldn’t figure out where he had slipped up. He had even suspected his own inner circle and purged a large number of his people. Was that ‘afraid of her wife’ act just a performance?
Did she distract me just to save that little bitch? Are they actually having an affair?
The more Madman Wang thought, the angrier he became. When Su Yi’an’s subordinate handed him the contract, he lunged to his feet. “Bring up that little bitch who betrayed me!”
He wasn’t sure which Omega Su Yi’an actually liked. So, in addition to threatening her with revealing her true identity to that Lan woman, he had brought every Omega she had ever been in contact with—including his ex-girlfriend. He had planned to make the girl suffer in front of Su Yi’an, but he’d forgotten in the heat of the moment. Now, he felt he had been played.
As the sole daughter of the Su family, why would she lack Omegas? Hiding her identity and traveling so far for a fraudulent marriage was likely just for a thrill. Perhaps the one she really wanted to save was that ex-girlfriend.
Madman Wang, who lived a life of debauchery, assumed everyone else was exactly like him. He glared at Su Yi’an. “Did you do this on purpose?”
Su Yi’an’s lips curled into a natural smile. “No.”
On purpose? No. She truly loved her Sister. Everything Sister instructed her to do had to be done perfectly. Compared to waking her Sister up on time, what was Madman Wang? In the eyes of a paranoid, arrogant man like Wang, the truth often seemed more blurred than a lie, didn’t it?
Madman Wang didn’t believe a word of it. In his view, if Su Yi’an truly loved that woman, she would never flaunt the relationship and hand him leverage. He was convinced he’d been cheated. He was fuming, his previous relaxed “mahjong” persona replaced by a frantic rage—especially when his men informed him that all the Omegas had been taken by Su Yi’an’s people, and that the government had just prohibited any construction on the western land plot.
He tore the contract to shreds. “Good… good! You are truly the great President Su!”
His face turned a sickly shade of green as he slumped back into his chair. He had targeted that land to make money; if nothing could be built there, it was worthless. It was worth even less than the “trash” land he owned in the north. No wonder she agreed so readily. He had thought he was being subtle, and that Su Yi’an hadn’t noticed the Omegas he brought.
“Mmh,” Su Yi’an replied without a hint of modesty. She gestured to her subordinate. “Give President Wang another copy of the contract.”
Omegas who fell into Madman Wang’s hands rarely had a good end. She hadn’t intended to care about their lives, but since the matter involved her, she couldn’t just ignore it. By mixing truth with lies, she kept Madman Wang guessing. Didn’t he always think his ex-girlfriend and I were involved?
“Su Yi’an, don’t push me too far!” Looking at the contract being offered again, Madman Wang’s bandaged head began to throb. Preparing two copies of the contract meant this was premeditated. It was laughable; he had been toyed with like a fool. If he signed this today, wouldn’t he be jumping into a fire pit with his eyes wide open?
“Pushing you too far?” Su Yi’an’s voice remained level, but her eyes turned colder. “How is this pushing it? I’ve been following your requests the whole time. You wanted the land, I agreed to give it. What more do you want?”
“However, I should remind you, President Wang—if you walk the night path too often, you’re bound to run into a ghost.” With that parting shot, she walked out.
The moment she had entered the room and realized she couldn’t use her mental power, she knew exactly what Madman Wang was up to. She hadn’t involved the police because the rescued Omegas hadn’t been physically harmed yet—they had been invited under the guise of a “trip.” She also feared that some might turn on her and blow the situation out of proportion.
Madman Wang didn’t want a scandal, and neither did she. Su Yi’an always worked with a plan; the only variable was her Sister. She didn’t want to use business-world tactics against her. Thus, she was plagued by insecurity and anxiety.
The sound of Madman Wang collapsing and the shouts of his men echoed behind her. Su Yi’an didn’t stop. A chilling smile touched her face. She had actually intended to give him the land after her men reported his obsession with it. Unfortunately, he didn’t dare take it. That wasn’t her problem anymore; it saved her the trouble of finding an excuse to ask Old Man Su for it.
Now, Madman Wang would likely never touch that land again. She heard his injuries were severe and he shouldn’t get too angry. What a pity, she thought with mocking sympathy. I hope he doesn’t actually go crazy; I still have a few ‘gifts’ to send him.
Well, he shouldn’t have tried to offend my Sister.
On the road, she saw an ambulance speeding toward the small town, which made her mood even better. Her subordinate was driving, and the privacy partition was up. Su Yi’an took out her phone and started a video call with Lan Yan. Only twenty minutes had passed since their last call.
The time difference wasn’t huge—it was night for both of them, though it was 9:00 PM for Su Yi’an and just after 7:00 PM for Lan Yan. Lan Yan had taken a short nap and looked much refreshed. She was pretending to watch TV, but her mind was on the embarrassing moment from earlier. She kept glancing at her phone. Would a reserved girl like my Rabbit be feeling shy too?
She had no idea that her “shy Rabbit” had just sent a suspected lunatic to the hospital.
When the phone rang, Lan Yan’s heart skipped a beat. She hesitated for a few seconds before answering. “Rabbit… aren’t you playing with your friends?” she asked absentmindedly, looking at the dark background behind Su Yi’an.
She was still embarrassed. She hadn’t expected that even while out with friends, the Rabbit would remember her instruction and wake her up exactly thirty minutes later. It had been a casual remark, yet the Rabbit took it to heart. Lan Yan felt a mix of laughter and tenderness.
“Friends?” Su Yi’an dazed out at the sight of her smile. It took her a moment to realize “friend” referred to Madman Wang.
“Sister, he made fun of my name, so I broke up with him,” Su Yi’an said with a hint of a pout, seeking comfort.
To her surprise, Lan Yan’s flushed face turned pale. “I won’t call you Rabbit anymore.” She realized the cute, soft name might not suit an Alpha and could lead to her being mocked by peers. She felt she hadn’t been thoughtful enough.
“No… Sister, I was joking!” Su Yi’an panicked. “I love that name. It’s just that he’s a lunatic with no taste. Actually, I stopped playing with him because he has a character problem.”
She hadn’t expected a joke to make her Sister overthink. At first, the name made her shy, but now she cherished this term of endearment. Most people would kill for such a nickname; how could she not like it?
Seeing her desperation to explain, Lan Yan believed her. She knew Su Yi’an wouldn’t lie about this. Her expression softened. “If he’s a lunatic, it’s best to stay away. Rabbit, aren’t you back at the hostel yet? The nights there aren’t as safe as the capital. Go back and rest early.”
“Mmh.” Su Yi’an nodded obediently. After a long hesitation, she said, “Sister, I want to go back tomorrow. I have something… I want to tell you in person.”
The incident with Madman Wang made her realize she couldn’t delay the confession any longer. Whether she lived or died, there needed to be a resolution. Surely, Sister wouldn’t be so heartless as to throw her away? Today’s business was cleaned up and wouldn’t leak, but for some reason, her heart was racing. Whenever she wasn’t with her Sister, she felt frantic.
Lan Yan’s expression grew serious. Instead of scolding her for not studying, she asked patiently, “Is it very important?”
Su Yi’an nodded solemnly. “Very important, Sister.”
Lan Yan looked into the little Alpha’s eyes for a moment. “Fine. Come home.”
The Rabbit wouldn’t lie about this, but she couldn’t guess what she wanted to say. The unreadable look in the Rabbit’s eyes made her own heart start to race with unease.
