The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 81
Chapter 81
“Rabbit, have you eaten dinner?” Lan Yan felt a surge of joy, but she still asked this first.
Even though she was the one who made the request, she now felt a trace of indescribable shyness. Had she not spent plenty of time alone before? Why had she suddenly become so sentimental after the Rabbit had only been gone for a day? Lan Yan attributed everything to the influence of the alcohol. Somehow, she just wanted the Rabbit to accompany her today.
Su Yi’an looked at the heart-stirring face on the screen, her eyes filled with tenderness. “I’ve eaten. If Sister is tired, sleep for a while.”
Before she left, Sister had instructed her to eat first. When she was reporting in at the school earlier, she had picked up a pancake on the way. Being alone, she wasn’t picky about food, nor did she have the time to be. The matter with Madman Wang had to be resolved quickly, or her heart would never be at ease.
Lan Yan felt relieved. She hadn’t slept well last night and was indeed tired. Originally, she had wanted to drink a bit of wine to alleviate her boredom since she couldn’t sleep, but looking at her Rabbit now, she suddenly felt drowsy. After tidying up the dining table, she went to the bedroom and lay down.
“Rabbit, wake me up in half an hour,” Lan Yan said before closing her eyes.
Since the Rabbit had just arrived for registration today, she shouldn’t have much to do. Having the Rabbit accompany her like this made it feel as if she had never left her side. The ever-obedient little Alpha made Lan Yan push her luck, making requests she considered somewhat excessive.
But Su Yi’an didn’t find it excessive at all; she loved watching her Sister and even wished she could stay by her side forever.
When Su Yi’an said she would watch Lan Yan fall asleep, she meant it, ignoring even her subordinates who had come to find her. Only after hearing Lan Yan’s light, steady breathing did she open the door, yet she still didn’t hang up the phone. By now, more than an hour had passed since the appointed time with Madman Wang.
The other party hadn’t rushed her, nor had they demanded she come alone. This was highly unusual, and Su Yi’an couldn’t figure it out. However, she didn’t relax because of it; she still arranged for her own people and notified the police. After all, she was someone with a wife now; she didn’t dare be overconfident and go alone like last time.
“Miss.”
The two men in suits standing outside lowered their heads immediately upon seeing her.
Su Yi’an nodded slightly, deliberately shielding her phone, her voice pressed extremely low. “What’s the situation with Madman Wang?”
The scenery around the Dead Sea was actually beautiful. It was called the Dead Sea because it was extremely dangerous; it was said that anyone who entered either died or went mad. However, the place Madman Wang had invited her to wasn’t the actual Dead Sea, but a small village within its vicinity. That place was actually the safest spot in the entire region, and many people went there for tourism every year. Su Yi’an couldn’t grasp Madman Wang’s intentions, so she had to be extra cautious.
The suited man on the left said, “Nothing unusual. When we went over, we weren’t blocked by Madman Wang’s people. Word is he wants to invite Miss for a trip and discuss a partnership.”
This reason sounded ridiculous; neither Su Yi’an nor her subordinates believed it. However, when Su Yi’an arrived and met Madman Wang, she discovered it was actually true.
Madman Wang’s injuries hadn’t fully healed, and his head was still wrapped in bandages. But seeing Su Yi’an, he acted as if he had forgotten their past unpleasantness. He walked to a mahjong table and sat down. “President Su is here. I heard you got married recently—congratulations. I knew you couldn’t possibly be interested in that trashy woman. Since you’ve been to the capital of the Flower Country, you must know how to play mahjong, right? Shall we play a few rounds?”
Su Yi’an narrowed her eyes and turned to leave. Play mahjong? She didn’t know how to play at all. Madman Wang was talking in circles, and she had no time for his nonsense, nor did she fear whatever tricks he might play—as long as it didn’t involve her Sister.
Madman Wang’s men blocked her path, and Su Yi’an’s men weren’t idle either; the two groups stood in a tense standoff, on the verge of conflict.
“Oh, what’s the rush, President Su? Do you want to go home and accompany your lovely wife? Your relationship is so good, but I wonder… does your wife know what kind of person President Su really is?” Madman Wang stood up with a smile, though it didn’t reach his eyes.
That one sentence made Su Yi’an stop in her tracks. She knew it was a threat.
In the US, although she hadn’t committed any major crimes, she had inevitably offended people in the business world. She was no soft target. The version of her in Sister’s heart likely differed from the reality. She could reveal her true self to Sister on her own terms, but it absolutely could not come from someone else’s mouth—at least, not before she confessed everything.
It could be said that Madman Wang had indeed grasped her weakness this time. She wanted to see exactly what he intended to do. For now, he didn’t seem to have any intention of targeting the Lan family. As long as he didn’t touch her Sister, she still had a shred of patience left for him.
Su Yi’an waved her hand, signaling her subordinates to step back, then turned and sat at the mahjong table, offering a mirthless smile. “Speak plainly.” Calling her back from so far away was definitely about more than just mahjong.
Madman Wang didn’t dare push her too far. His attitude softened as he sat back down beside her, grinning. “I know the matter with that trashy woman isn’t your fault; I was blinded by her too. It’s just, the brothers and I want to build a club in the west of the city recently. Could President Su be generous and let me have that piece of land in the west?”
The west of the city? She didn’t own any land there. Unless… he was talking about the piece in Old Man Su’s hands?
That place was said to be a prime location passed down through generations of the Su family. She didn’t care about the land itself, but getting it from Old Man Su would be difficult. It was supposed to be passed to her eventually, but only on the condition that she married and had children. When Su Yi’an first arrived in this world, she was annoyed by the Zhan Ming situation and had no interest in anyone, so she refused without a second thought.
If she had known she would meet her Sister and face this situation, she would have secured that land no matter what. Now she wouldn’t be so passive. She finally understood why Madman Wang was being so amiable. They didn’t have any deep-seated blood feud; Madman Wang changed women more often than clothes. The previous incidents were likely just for the sake of his so-called “face.”
In the face of absolute profit, how much is “face” worth? Besides, if Madman Wang tried other methods to deal with her, it would be difficult. He was simply taking advantage of the fact that she was hiding her identity from her Sister. He probably wasn’t even sure of Sister’s importance to her, which was why his attitude was so “good.” Madman Wang had indeed become much smarter.
Su Yi’an’s thoughts whirled, but she didn’t show it. In the clean and bright house, it was so quiet that only the sound of breathing remained. The wind blew into the room, making the ceiling light sway. The light fell on Su Yi’an’s face, adding something unreadable to her already sharp eyes.
Seeing Su Yi’an remain silent, Madman Wang’s expression changed slightly, but he still good-naturedly lit a cigarette and handed it to her. “I won’t make you give it to me for free. How about this: you call someone, I’ll call someone, and we’ll play mahjong. If we lose, I’ll give you the land in the north of the city. If we win, you give me the land in the west. Fair, right?”
Fair? Not at all. Madman Wang’s land in the north was basically useless, while the piece he wanted was priceless. Furthermore, Madman Wang was a mahjong expert, while she didn’t know how to play, and none of the people she brought were experts in this field. She was almost certain to lose.
But Madman Wang knew about Sister. She didn’t want this man to tell Sister about her affairs with added embellishments. What if Sister didn’t like the “real” her? What if she wanted a divorce? She couldn’t force her Sister. If Sister was determined to divorce, no matter how much she couldn’t bear it, she would probably let go.
Su Yi’an didn’t want to engage with Madman Wang any further. She rejected the cigarette he offered. “Sorry, I don’t smoke. I’ll consider the matter.”
In all the time she had been with Sister, she hadn’t smoked a single cigarette. When she really craved it, she would only sniff Sister’s pheromone scent or eat some grapes. Her original addiction wasn’t strong, and Sister didn’t like the smell of smoke. If the habit was gone, it was gone. Sister seemed to like children; quitting smoking would be beneficial for having children in the future.
Lately, she and Sister had been so intimate, and her gland seemed to have almost recovered. Could Sister already be carrying their child? Thinking of a plump little baby who looked like Lan Yan, a spark of joy appeared in the depths of Su Yi’an’s heart. She really didn’t like noisy children, but if it were Sister’s, it would be a little princess she would want to hold in the palm of her hand. An extra child meant one more person to pamper Sister with.
Su Yi’an’s hand, resting on a mahjong tile, paused slightly as she drifted off into thought.
“You don’t smoke? Since when did President Su quit?” Madman Wang found this extraordinary. If he remembered correctly, the last time they met, this person had smoked several cigarettes in front of many Omegas, leaving them completely infatuated—including that woman he suspected of betraying him. If she hadn’t always looked at Su Yi’an with such adoration, would he have even suspected them of having an affair?
Su Yi’an had only been in the capital for a short time and had already quit smoking. That was truly interesting. The young President Su, who was invincible in the business world, was actually afraid of her wife. Just thinking about it was hilarious. In their circle, that was a very embarrassing thing. No matter how powerful she was, being afraid of her wife proved she had a weakness. Why should he be wary of her anymore? No wonder she came to the meeting so readily this time; it was all out of concern for the woman at home.
To be honest, that woman was quite impressive. If Su Yi’an hadn’t already claimed her, and if she weren’t in the capital, he would have wanted a taste himself. However, the Su family’s wealth was many times greater than his own. Even so, he preferred not to have a total fallout with her if he could help it. After crawling back from the brink of death last time, Madman Wang had realized that a woman was nothing compared to the reality of money. This time, he was going to make Su Yi’an bleed.
He knew, of course, that the land was still in Old President Su’s hands, but what did that matter to him? He wanted that land, and at most, he would give Su Yi’an a few days’ grace.
“That seems to be none of your business.”
Reminded by Madman Wang, Su Yi’an suddenly remembered an important matter. She beckoned a subordinate and took her phone. The subordinate was tactful and immediately said, “Miss, the Madam hasn’t woken up yet.”
Su Yi’an’s heart settled slightly. She looked at Sister’s sleeping face on the screen, her cold features gradually softening. She found a private corner and whispered, “Sister, time to wake up.”
More than thirty minutes had passed; she was a few minutes late for the time Sister had set. Even though she knew the understanding Sister wouldn’t mind such a small thing, Su Yi’an couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous. The aura of a winning strategist she had when facing Madman Wang vanished instantly. In front of Sister, she was never very confident because she loved her too much; even the slightest breeze made her overthink, leading to a lack of confidence. Out there, she was an Alpha that many Omegas fought to have, but only Sister had entered her heart.
Madman Wang: “…”
The crowd: “…”
This must be a fake President Su. How could her voice be so soft? How could her gaze be so… in short, it felt like no word could describe it. Those who knew her well felt their skin crawl. Was this really the same President Su who had watched, expressionless, as Madman Wang crashed himself into the hospital? Well, perhaps everyone was having a hallucination.
The room fell silent again, which actually made things easier for Su Yi’an. Lan Yan hadn’t woken up. Her phone was likely on a stand, allowing her face to be seen clearly. Lan Yan’s face was slightly flushed from sleep, but judging by her relaxed features, she was sleeping very well. Su Yi’an felt a surge of warmth in her heart and wanted to fly back immediately, hold her Sister, and lie together on the large bed filled with the scent of grapes. She saw this sleeping face every day, yet she felt she could never see it enough. Every time she looked, she was more stunned until the image was etched into her very marrow.
Through the screen, Su Yi’an almost seemed to smell that fresh grape fragrance that had tormented her for many nights. She suddenly felt a “craving” coming on—no, not for a cigarette, but a grape craving. She wanted to eat grapes.
Su Yi’an steadied her mind, shielded the phone, and turned her cold gaze toward the stunned Madman Wang, appearing like a completely different person. “Please bring some grapes over. Thank you!”
It was a perfect illustration of what it meant to have two faces.
Madman Wang snapped out of it, not caring about Su Yi’an’s attitude. He ordered his men to get grapes. He didn’t rush Su Yi’an either; instead, he watched with interest as she turned back to speak to the phone screen. Interesting. It made him want to see for himself just how capable the woman who could turn President Su into this was. Seeing this side of President Su made the trip worthwhile.
The reason Madman Wang was called a madman was because much of his behavior and thinking differed from normal people. Normally, his priority should be securing the land, but Su Yi’an’s performance made him less urgent. His eyes darted around as if he had thought of a good idea, and an unidentifiable smile curled his lips. Madman Wang was two or three years older than Su Yi’an, but he wasn’t ugly; if one ignored his temper and unpredictable style, he was a handsome guy. But that smile made his surrounding subordinates tremble. As the saying goes, when a madman smiles, the earth shakes three times.
Su Yi’an’s entire focus was on Lan Yan, so she didn’t notice. Seeing that Sister showed no signs of waking after she spoke, and fearing she would sleep too much and be unable to sleep at night, she raised her voice slightly: “Sister, it’s time to wake up.”
Perhaps this call worked. Lan Yan woke up slowly and, seeing her little Alpha waiting obediently on the other side of the screen, couldn’t help but smile. “Rabbit, have you been waiting for me to wake up until now?”
The overly honest Rabbit was always so lovable. Even though she knew the little Alpha treated her words as a decree, she still did some things that were more unrestrained than usual. But having the little Alpha pamper her like this… why did it make her so happy?
Lan Yan’s pleasure was plain on her face. She turned on her side, propping her face with one hand. “Since Rabbit is so obedient, how should Sister reward you?” The thin quilt slid down, her clothes slightly open—it was the epitome of laziness and exceptionally charming. She only saw a white wall behind Su Yi’an and thought she was alone, so, using the excuse of having drunk wine, she stopped being formal. After all, Su Yi’an had said earlier that the school had arranged a single room in a hostel for them.
Su Yi’an swallowed with difficulty, unable to say a word. Never mind a reward; as long as it was from Sister, anything was fine—even a punishment. But if she had to name something, she kind of wanted to see Sister wear that rabbit outfit. Everything from last night was still fresh in her mind, and Su Yi’an felt an unbearable itch. But she hadn’t forgotten there were others in the room. To prevent Sister from saying anything else that would disturb her soul, Su Yi’an hurried to say: “Sister, I’m outside now, with some… friends I just met…”
To be honest, she hadn’t expected that waking Sister up would reveal this side of her. They say a short absence is better than a honeymoon. They hadn’t seen each other for several hours, so it seemed normal for Sister to be more intimate with her. She also felt immensely joyful. It was just a bit inappropriate to do it in front of Madman Wang’s gang.
With a click, Lan Yan hung up the phone, her face turning bright red. She covered her face in shame, and only after a long while did she struggle to crawl out of bed. She had finally managed to swallow her pride to tease her Rabbit, only to be seen by a group of people the Rabbit had just met. It was too embarrassing. Would she lose face for the Rabbit? Did those people know the Rabbit had a wife like her?
Lan Yan went to the bathroom, splashed cold water on her face twice, and looked at herself in the mirror, suddenly laughing again. Bad Rabbit, not even giving me a warning beforehand.
Su Yi’an, who had wanted to see her Sister a bit longer and talk to her, was left staring at the hung-up call. “…” She looked exactly like a poor little thing abandoned by her wife; no matter how you looked at it, it was hilarious. Su Yi’an’s subordinates were all shaking with suppressed laughter, but none dared to actually make a sound.
Madman Wang and his group had no such reservations, laughing until tears came out. “Pfft… Rabbit! Hahaha, you’re killing me!” Even Old President Su probably never used such a pet name for her. A married man really was different; a fierce and cold image suddenly became “moe.”
“Come, come, President Rabbit, here are the grapes you wanted. Eat up,” Madman Wang said, handing the grapes his subordinate had brought to Su Yi’an, his voice full of mockery.
The atmosphere, which hadn’t been very tense, suddenly became much more relaxed. The two groups didn’t look like they were there to discuss business at all; instead, it looked more like a gathering of real friends.
Su Yi’an’s face turned cold instantly. She gripped her phone, the veins on her forehead throbbing. Her mood was already bad because she couldn’t see her Sister, and seeing Madman Wang’s face made it even worse. There was no need to drag this out. At worst, she would use the matter of marriage and having a granddaughter to get the land from Old Man Su and give it to Madman Wang. She didn’t want to see this person ever again after today.
The sooner this was resolved, the better. Judging by the way Sister hung up the phone, she might be feeling ashamed and annoyed. She had to go back quickly and coax her Sister properly. What did land matter compared to her Sister? She’d let Madman Wang take the advantage once. In the future, she would have plenty of opportunities to take it back. However, she didn’t want to let Madman Wang off that easily either—who told him to mock her? What was there to mock? People who played with emotions like him would never know the value of true feelings, nor would they know the joy of having a wife who loved them back. She should pity him instead.
Su Yi’an didn’t touch the grapes. She lowered her eyes, her voice cold. “I can give you the land. But what will you give in exchange?”
“So eager?” Madman Wang wasn’t in such a rush for the land anymore. He smiled. “President Su can have whatever she wants. But we can take our time discussing this. Come, come. They say people from the Flower Country like playing mahjong. Since you’ve married into the Flower Country, it wouldn’t be right if you didn’t know how to play. Stay and play with us for a few days; everything else can be negotiated.”
The more Su Yi’an showed she wanted to leave, the more he didn’t want to let her go. So she was afraid of her wife? He had thought of a way to get revenge for being sent to the hospital. This was Madman Wang—he did whatever he thought of and could change his mind at any moment.
He clapped his hands, and his subordinates immediately brought in several extremely seductive Omegas, both male and female. All were young and beautiful, around twenty years old, and their bodies were free of messy pheromones; they could be said to be very clean. However, “clean” referred to their bodies; the looks they gave Su Yi’an were far from pure.
Madman Wang said to the Omegas, “Quickly, go and serve our President Su some grapes.”
Several Omegas lunged forward. The hair on Su Yi’an’s body stood on end. “Get out!”
Never mind that she had a Sister now; even if she didn’t, she didn’t like playing these filthy games. She wasn’t like Madman Wang. And if Sister found out, what would she think? Madman Wang truly was a madman; he was quite good at disgusting people. Fortunately, Su Yi’an’s men knew her temperament well. The moment the Omegas tried to lunge at Su Yi’an, they were restrained.
Madman Wang seemed to have anticipated this. He looked up at a hidden camera and waved his hand dismissively. “President Su is so unromantic; it’s a bit difficult. They really like you. Go down, all of you. After I’ve finished playing mahjong with President Su, come back and help her ‘relax’ her muscles.”
The entire process was like a farce.
