The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 67
Chapter 67
Half an hour later, breakfast was finished. Lan Yan had to get to the company early today, so she didn’t linger. After tidying up the dishes, she returned to the bedroom to apply her makeup and prepare to head out.
Her body felt refreshed, likely because the little Alpha had carried her to take a bath afterward, so there was no need to wash again now.
However, as she faced the vanity mirror and saw the large patches of marks on her neck that no amount of powder could conceal, Lan Yan couldn’t help but feel embarrassed and annoyed.
“Rabbit” had been far too reckless. With so many marks left on her neck, how was she supposed to go out?
The temperature today remained high, and the sun was even fiercer than in recent days. Lan Yan usually wore a thin blouse to the office, but today, even a blouse seemed unable to hide these traces.
As she was agonizing over it, Lan Yan turned around and saw the little Alpha leaning against the doorframe, gazing at her affectionately. Her heart warmed, and she gave her a slightly reproachful glare. She then turned toward the closet, found a silk scarf, and wrapped it around her neck, stopping only when the marks were completely hidden.
Su Yi’an, who had just finished hanging the laundry and bedsheets, followed her in. Suddenly receiving such a glare, she didn’t understand what had happened. Seeing her Sister putting on a silk scarf, she instinctively looked at the scorching sun outside and blurted out, “Sister, isn’t it hot?”
Lan Yan’s breath hitched. After a long pause, she squeezed out a single word through gritted teeth: “Hot.”
If it weren’t for the “good deeds” the Rabbit had done, would she be wearing a silk scarf in such heat? She shouldn’t have indulged her so much last night; then she wouldn’t be questioned with such an innocent tone, nor would she have to worry about being discovered.
The trace of resentment on Lan Yan’s face was quite obvious. Su Yi’an finally realized what was wrong. She rubbed her nose awkwardly, her face flushing, and walked up behind Lan Yan to whisper an apology: “Sorry, Sister. I’ll be more careful in the future.”
Last night, she had been swept away by emotion and acted mostly on instinct. Though she always reminded herself to be considerate of her Sister, there were moments when she lost her sanity, and leaving marks wasn’t entirely within her control.
As a novice driver on her first time on the road, she couldn’t achieve perfection—who could blame her when her Sister was so alluring? Besides, when such things are suppressed for too long, it’s easy to lose control.
Su Yi’an’s obedient demeanor successfully pleased Lan Yan. She couldn’t help but chuckle, and the trace of irritation in her heart vanished completely.
After laughing for a while, she glanced sideways at Su Yi’an and teased rarely, “You’re already thinking about a ‘future’? Rabbit, you’re quite greedy.”
Although the Rabbit wasn’t like other Alphas who lived solely for desire and only cared for themselves, she shared a common trait with them in this matter: she had no sense of moderation.
To be honest, by the end of last night, Lan Yan had actually become a little afraid of her. Fortunately, the Rabbit was always attentive to her emotions; seeing her truly unable to endure more, she had obediently stopped. Lan Yan even suspected that if she hadn’t begged for mercy, the Rabbit might have continued until this morning.
Young people’s stamina was certainly no joke.
Thinking of the shameful words she had blurted out, Lan Yan’s smile stiffened, and her ears and neck turned beet red.
When the two were together, the air was always thick and syrupy, like honey sweet and clinging.
Su Yi’an was dazed by her Sister’s smile. Her breathing deepened, and she tentatively reached out to hug the woman in front of her: “Sister…”
Hearing her Sister call her “Rabbit” so affectionately and joke with her made Su Yi’an feel that the name “Rabbit” was the most beautiful in the world. And she wanted to be even closer to this version of her Sister.
Just a little closer.
Her voice carried a scorching heat that seared Lan Yan’s heart.
“Mhm,” Lan Yan responded.
“Sister.”
Lan Yan’s indulgence emboldened Su Yi’an. She tightened her arms, pulling Lan Yan completely into her embrace. Her hot breath brushed against Lan Yan’s ear.
An affectionate Rabbit carried an inherent temptation. Lan Yan could hardly stand the tickling sensation; she tilted her head slightly, which inadvertently delivered her right to Su Yi’an’s lips.
The silk scarf she had just tied slipped into Su Yi’an’s hand. Dense kisses traveled from her neck to her lips. Lan Yan involuntarily closed her eyes.
This unique heat turned their brains to mush, leaving them unable to think of anything but each other.
It wasn’t until Lan Yan felt herself being placed on the dressing table and a coolness hit her chest that she snapped back to reality. She pressed against the little Alpha’s shoulders: “Don’t, Rabbit.”
She had a morning meeting and couldn’t afford any more delays. Furthermore, last night had been enough; she physically couldn’t handle any more right now.
“I’m sorry, Sister.”
Su Yi’an reluctantly pulled her lips away and retied the silk scarf for Lan Yan.
Having tasted that sensation, no matter how much she tried to restrain herself, she wanted more the moment she touched her Sister. Actually, initially, she only meant to give a hug, or perhaps a kiss at most. She hadn’t expected her Sister to be so gentle and not even attempt to stop her, nearly causing her to make a “mistake” in the morning.
Besides, “morning fire” burned brighter than usual, and the current Lan Yan was more bewitching than ever. A Sister who had blossomed was fundamentally different from one who hadn’t.
Su Yi’an’s look of disappointment was witnessed by Lan Yan. She stepped down from the dressing table, looked away from the little Alpha, and said softly, “Go to school for your classes first. Later… come back and help massage my foot injury.”
She didn’t say it explicitly, but saying even this much was a significant breakthrough for her. Both knew exactly what would happen after the “foot massage.”
Lan Yan didn’t dislike it; on the contrary, she delighted in it. She loved the feeling of being covered in the little Alpha’s wine-scented pheromones and being held in the palm of her hand—it was just a bit exhausting. However, she didn’t want to see the little Alpha disappointed; if the girl wasn’t happy, she couldn’t be happy either. That was why she indulged her.
As long as it’s not too much, Lan Yan thought.
Su Yi’an’s eyes lit up with joy. “I’ll drive you to the office first.”
She knew her Sister was having difficulty walking; she had noticed her gait was very unnatural just now. Lan Yan smiled slightly and let her have her way.
The office was only a ten-minute walk away, and driving actually took longer due to the route, but she was willing to take the long way today. First, she really didn’t want to walk, and second, she wanted to spend more time with the little Alpha.
This clingy Rabbit reminded her very much of her cat, Xiao Bai.
Thinking of Xiao Bai, Lan Yan’s expression stiffened. Toward the end of last night, she hadn’t been able to stop herself from making a sound, which startled Xiao Bai into jumping onto the bed. She had fainted afterward and didn’t remember where the cat went.
Lan Yan looked over at the cat bed; it was empty. Her brow furrowed tightly.
Su Yi’an had originally wanted to offer to apply her lipstick, but noticing her gaze, she quickly said, “Sister, Xiao Bai is in the outside bathroom.”
That annoying little thing had interrupted them last night, so she had carried it to the outer bathroom. When she checked on it earlier, the cat glared at her like an enemy, likely thinking she was bullying its owner, and nearly scratched her face. She was afraid the little thing would disturb her Sister’s rest, so she hadn’t let it out. It was probably sleeping now.
Lan Yan looked puzzled. “Why is Xiao Bai in the outside bathroom?”
Xiao Bai usually never went there. No wonder the house felt so quiet this morning. Usually, after being away for two days, the cat would be clinging to her the most. Perhaps if she hadn’t been with the little Alpha last night, Xiao Bai would have slept with her.
Su Yi’an coughed lightly. “I carried him there. Sister, he was… interrupting us.”
The last part was whispered, but it made Lan Yan’s hand tremble, nearly dropping her lipstick.
“Mhm, I see,” Lan Yan tried to stay composed, though her voice was slightly husky.
That honey-like thickness returned to the air; it felt as if a single look would lead to another kiss.
Su Yi’an reached out and slowly took the lipstick from Lan Yan’s hand. Her voice was deep: “Let me help you.”
Lan Yan’s heart skipped a beat. For a moment, she forgot to answer. By the time she regained her senses, the little Alpha was already seriously applying the color to her lips.
In normal times, this would be ordinary, but Lan Yan had never let anyone else apply her lipstick. Moreover, they were so close—close enough to smell the lingering pheromones, see the girl’s fair skin, long lashes, and soulful eyes. It felt as if one more inch would lead to a kiss on those pink, kissable lips.
The little Alpha wore no makeup yet looked better than almost anyone. If she looked this good natural, she would be stunning with it. Recalling how she looked at the Zhang family dinner, Lan Yan suddenly wanted to hide her away from the world.
To be her “Rabbit” alone.
Lan Yan didn’t know why she thought of that. When Su Yi’an pulled the lipstick away, she blinked.
“Sister…” Su Yi’an leaned in suddenly. “I really want to kiss you.” But she quickly backed away. “A pity you just put on lipstick.”
This cat-and-mouse teasing left Lan Yan’s heart itching. She felt her throat go dry, even though they had just kissed a minute ago. Looking at the “obedient” Rabbit in front of her, Lan Yan steeled herself, suddenly pulled her close, and bit a hard kiss onto her neck. Seeing the red lip print on that white skin, she finally felt satisfied.
Last night, she should have returned the favor by giving the girl “strawberries” on her neck; why should she be the only one embarrassed? A lipstick mark would do for now.
“Go wait outside,” Lan Yan said after the kiss, resuming her indifferent facade, her voice dropping a few degrees. She touched up her lipstick, looking every bit the domineering CEO.
Su Yi’an covered her neck in shock and instinctively obeyed. It wasn’t until she walked out of the bedroom in a daze that she realized what had happened, and a foolish grin broke across her face.
Sister actually kissed her voluntarily…
She wanted to keep this lip print. She remembered there were band-aids in the TV cabinet. Su Yi’an found one and, using the TV screen as a mirror, carefully covered the red mark. With this mark, she felt she could be happy all day.
When Lan Yan finished her makeup and grabbed her bag, she walked out to see the little Alpha crouching by the TV like a puppy, taping a band-aid over her neck. She couldn’t help but want to laugh.
She hadn’t used much force; at most, there was a faint lipstick stain. Was she using a band-aid to “preserve” the kiss? How could there be such a pure and silly Rabbit… But didn’t the band-aid just make it more obvious?
Then again, weren’t they both trying to hide the obvious? Lan Yan lightly touched the silk scarf around her neck, her smile deepening. Her dull, mechanical life had become vibrant because of the little Alpha.
She didn’t disturb Su Yi’an, instead thoughtfully stepping back a few paces. Once the girl stood up, Lan Yan walked out as if she hadn’t seen anything. She took out a small bottle of Lian Xiang (scent-concealer) and handed it to Su Yi’an. “Spray this on.”
Not only was she covered in the Alpha’s scent, but the Alpha was covered in hers. Previously, Su Yi’an’s glands were damaged and couldn’t hold a scent, but lately, her pheromones had become stronger. After the “complete marking” last night, Lan Yan’s scent was now on the Alpha. As long as the girl didn’t feel unwell, Lan Yan didn’t mind.
However, a student couldn’t afford Lian Xiang. He Xia and the others likely knew her original scent; using this might lead people to suspect she was being “sponsored” by an older woman. Well, Lan Yan was that older woman. But they weren’t in a sponsorship deal anymore; they were in a proper relationship. The contract was void—or at least, it was void because Lan Yan said so. She would still give her money, but as a gift to a girlfriend.
Lan Yan mused for a moment and said, “This is scent concealer. If your classmates ask, say I gave it to you and that Dr. Jiang told you to use it.”
She didn’t want their relationship known to the students yet; she didn’t want Su Yi’an living under judgmental eyes. Furthermore, she wasn’t ready to tell her niece, Lan Yin, because she hadn’t figured out how to explain that she had essentially “seduced” her niece’s classmate.
If she brought her home, her family would likely push for marriage. She was nearly thirty, while Su Yi’an was only in her early twenties and still in school. Marriage might be too early for the girl. Besides, they couldn’t have children anyway, so the timing of a legal document didn’t matter as much as their feelings.
Thinking of this, Lan Yan felt a flicker of worry—worry about her own aging and worry that the little Alpha might eventually be tempted by the outside world.
“Mhm.” Su Yi’an didn’t refuse and sprayed the concealer. A person as dignified as her Sister naturally wouldn’t want her private life on display. Su Yi’an didn’t mind, as long as she knew her Sister belonged to her.
Thinking of children, Su Yi’an remembered something important. After putting the bottle in her bag, she hesitated. “Sister…” Her fingers clenched her palms; she was clearly very nervous.
Lan Yan, who was changing her shoes, looked up. “What is it?”
Su Yi’an’s face turned red. She gritted her teeth and blurted out, “Should we… prepare some Alpha birth control pills?”
Since they were now in a relationship, that “activity” would happen again sooner or later. She felt her own self-restraint wasn’t great, and her glands were recovering faster than expected. She was afraid of an accident before her Sister was ready. She had considered buying them secretly but feared a repeat of the last misunderstanding.
The memory of the “complete marking” flashed through Lan Yan’s mind. Her face flushed, then turned pale. Is the little Alpha still imagining children? Su Yi’an was sterile; they would never have children.
Afraid of hurting her Rabbit, Lan Yan said tactfully, “Those pills are bad for the body. No need to prepare them. If it happens, we’ll get married and have the baby.” It wouldn’t happen anyway; she trusted Dr. Jiang’s diagnosis. Though she secretly wished she could have a child with the little Alpha… her heart felt heavy.
Su Yi’an was incredulous. “Really, Sister? My glands… I feel they’ve improved lately. If it happens, you’re really willing to marry me?” All she could think about was marriage.
“Mhm.” Lan Yan nodded firmly. She assumed this was just the little Alpha’s wishful thinking. Dr. Jiang had said stronger pheromones didn’t necessarily mean the glands were healed. As for marriage, she was willing regardless. She wanted to bring this obedient Rabbit home, too.
“Sister…” Su Yi’an still felt it was surreal and wanted to explain further.
Lan Yan felt a surge of pity. she took Su Yi’an’s hand and said softly, “It’s alright. I know you can do it, and I meant what I said.”
The inability to have children when one wanted them was a lasting pain. Dr. Jiang hadn’t stated the diagnosis as absolute on Lan Yan’s orders, and she hadn’t realized Su Yi’an had taken that sliver of hope so much to heart. That must be why she hadn’t seemed sad—she was holding onto a miracle. Lan Yan wanted to suggest adoption later, but seeing the girl so happy, she couldn’t bring herself to break the illusion.
“Mhm.” Su Yi’an hugged her tightly. “Sister, I like you.” Because she didn’t want her taking harmful medicine, her Sister was willing to go this far for her. She was so happy. She hoped her Sister would get pregnant soon so they could marry. She looked toward Lan Yan’s flat stomach with a gaze of intense longing.
Lan Yan blushed again. Checking the time, she patted Su Yi’an’s back. “I know. We’re running late, let’s go.”
She knew she liked her; the little Alpha had said it many times today. She liked her too, but if they kept being this clingy, she would be late for her meeting. A “sweet rabbit” turning into a “clining rabbit” was a sweet burden. No wonder employees loved to stick with their lovers after work. If she didn’t have to work, she would stay with the Rabbit too.
Su Yi’an wasn’t truly clingy; it was just a moment of overwhelming emotion. She let go obediently and took Lan Yan’s bag. “Sister, let me.” She held Lan Yan’s hand tightly all the way to the parking garage.
Su Yi’an drove very steadily. Perhaps because her hands had been “overused” last night, they felt a bit sluggish, so she drove slightly slower than usual, arriving at the office just on time.
“Goodbye, Sister.”
After Lan Yan got out, Su Yi’an watched her enter before driving to the underground lot. She didn’t plan to take the car to campus.
When Lan Yan entered the lobby, the area fell silent for a moment. Once she stepped into the executive elevator, the gossip exploded.
“Oh my god, President Lan is wearing a scarf today? In this heat?” “Didn’t you notice she came by car? She’s been walking lately. I bet the person driving is that little Alpha from the group chat!” “Hehe, President Lan looks a bit unsteady today. Must have been a wild night.” “Definitely. You hit the nail on the head.” “I wonder who that Alpha is, to be able to take down an Omega like President Lan.”
Lan Yan knew none of this, and Su Yi’an knew even less. When she returned to school, He Xia was in the dorm. Seeing her, He Xia angrily showed her a photo on her phone.
“Which brat took this ambiguous photo of you and my Little Aunt? They even wrote a whole essay saying you two are a couple! It makes me so mad! Little Su, look at this, isn’t it ridiculous?”
Su Yi’an looked over. It was a photo of her picking a leaf off her Sister’s hair on a stone bridge at Mount Miao. Honestly? It was a very well-taken photo.
