The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 66
Chapter 66
Lan Yan’s hand rested on Su Yi’an, and the two were so close that when Su Yi’an turned around, only a finger’s width separated them, their breaths intertwining.
The scorching breath on her face was like a bolt of lightning, instantly waking the dazed Lan Yan. Right, I was supposed to be asleep when I hugged the little Alpha. How could I have answered her question so naturally? The cool breeze blowing into the room could not disperse the heat in her heart. Lan Yan’s eyelashes trembled as she panicked, unsure whether to open her eyes or continue faking sleep.
The temperature under the covers rose steadily. The little Alpha she was holding felt like a furnace, so hot that Lan Yan wanted to withdraw her hand.
“Sister…”
Su Yi’an pressed down on Lan Yan’s hand as she tried to pull away. Her head leaned closer, and her voice became incredibly deep. If Lan Yan had opened her eyes, she would have seen that the fire in Su Yi’an’s eyes was terrifyingly bright.
Heat—it was too hot. Fine sweat seeped from their touching skin. The ache in her neck and the intertwining pheromones caused Su Yi’an’s eyes to glaze over for a moment. In that instant, she pinned Lan Yan’s hand down, flipped over to press her down, and brought her lips closer and closer to her neck.
Lan Yan could feel the hands holding her trembling, as if the Alpha were extremely nervous or on the verge of losing control. Her racing heart felt like it would jump out of her chest. Lan Yan felt like a thirsty fish, struggling but weak; at this moment, she even felt a flicker of fear. It wasn’t fear of the little Alpha, but an Omega’s instinctive fear, like a premonition of what was to come.
Outside, the wind grew stronger, brewing a storm. The flowers and grass by the road swayed, unable to withstand the pressure even before it truly began. What happened outside had nothing to do with those inside. Both were drenched in sweat, and their silk nightgowns had become loose and disheveled. Lan Yan could no longer sleep, and she couldn’t even pretend; she felt like she was being melted by the little Alpha. She wanted to drink water again. Unconsciously licking her lips, she opened her eyes to say something, only to see her “obedient rabbit” transformed into a “fierce rabbit,” with a look in her eyes as if she wanted to devour her.
Lan Yan didn’t realize that in Su Yi’an’s eyes, she looked like a carrot finally found by a starving rabbit. Su Yi’an felt she could no longer endure it. After being disturbed by pheromones all night, she kissed Lan Yan’s lips, intoxicated, yet also half-hoping her Sister would slap her awake. If she had misread the situation and acted against her Sister’s will, she deserved a beating. But if she hadn’t, it meant her Sister cared for her, and their relationship could move forward.
Perhaps now, only her Sister could snap her out of it. Although she suspected her Sister was also overwhelmed by the pheromones, pheromones were a part of her Sister, a part of the emotions between Alphas and Omegas in this world, weren’t they? Wasn’t the reason she could sign the agreement and stay by her Sister’s side because of those pheromones? In this novel, the setting of pheromones was extremely unfair to Omegas, but at this moment, Su Yi’an felt grateful for it. Without the pheromones and the agreement, her Sister would have been even harder to approach. She might have been disqualified based on age alone.
“Sister…”
The low voice lingered in her ear. Lan Yan was momentarily dazed. She helplessly raised her hand to push away the person exerting such strong pressure, but realizing this was the “Rabbit” she liked, she changed the push into an embrace. She didn’t refuse; she closed her eyes again, signaling silent consent.
Su Yi’an completely lost her reason, kissing urgently yet retaining a trace of tenderness. Gradually, the room filled with the scent of two pheromones—intertwining, separating, and merging again. Even the automatic ventilation fan couldn’t fully clear the air.
Crash— the rain began to pour outside, drowning out all the subtle sounds within the room. The rain lasted all night.
At 7:00 AM, sunlight filled the room, illuminating the mess. The air after the rain was fresh, but the room still held the lingering, mellow fragrance of wine. A jade-white hand reached out from the quilt. Su Yi’an propped herself up on one arm, looking at her Sister, whose face was flushed and whose eyes held a hint of the charm that comes after a storm. Su Yi’an had barely slept, yet she looked radiant—or rather, “triumphant” would be more fitting.
She had “obtained” her Sister. This progress far exceeded her expectations; she was dying of happiness. Her Sister tasted even better than she had imagined, and in her youthful vigor, she had been too greedy last night, exhausting her. Thinking of this, Su Yi’an’s smile stiffened into concern as she gently brushed her fingertips over Lan Yan’s tired brow.
Wait… I completely marked her last night. Could there be a baby? In this world, one usually takes medicine beforehand if they don’t want children. Both Alphas and Omegas can take it; the side effects aren’t huge, but they aren’t small either. While she would be happy to have her Sister’s child, she didn’t know if Lan Yan actually liked children. Then again, my glands aren’t fully healed, so the pheromone concentration might be too low to cause pregnancy, right? But Omegas are so fertile—could it happen in one night? Especially since we didn’t just do it once…
Lost in thought, Su Yi’an’s touch on Lan Yan’s brow grew slightly heavy. The sleeping Lan Yan stirred, showing signs of waking. Su Yi’an immediately held her breath, her eyes falling on the marks on Lan Yan’s neck, her face turning crimson. Sister is waking up! What should I say? Was she satisfied? Will she regret last night? What are her feelings for me now?
Lan Yan’s face, with traces of tears and restrained emotion, flashed through her mind. Su Yi’an felt her pheromones beginning to spiral out of control again, her heart feeling more and more anxious about gain and loss. Before “getting” her, she could still endure; after succeeding, it felt even harder to restrain herself.
However, the things Su Yi’an worried about didn’t happen. Lan Yan didn’t wake up; she was exhausted. She simply rolled over, murmured something, and went back to sleep. Su Yi’an quickly withdrew her hand. She didn’t hear what was said, so she leaned in to listen, but Lan Yan was silent. Not wanting to disturb her further, Su Yi’an quietly got out of bed, changed into clean clothes, washed up, put on her “White Rabbit” apron, and went into the kitchen to prepare a delicious breakfast.
Half an hour later, Lan Yan was woken by her alarm. She had an important morning meeting. She hadn’t expected to have a wild night with the little Alpha and slightly regretted listening to Jiang Mu’s advice to “provoke” the youthful girl. It wasn’t that she regretted the act itself, but her eyelids were heavy, and her waist and legs ached. She didn’t want to get up. Moreover, the meeting required standing for at least ten minutes; she doubted she could manage five in her current state. Youthful stamina is truly incomparable to someone approaching thirty.
It’s all the Rabbit’s fault for being so insatiable… and my own for indulging her, losing myself in her whispers of “Sister.”
When the alarm rang a second time, Lan Yan forced her eyes open. Sunlight hit her face, making her feel like a lifetime had passed. She had really been with the little Alpha last night. Every fragment was etched in her mind, and the scent of wine seemed to linger on her skin.
Finding the spot beside her empty and cold, Lan Yan’s flush faded into a pale sadness. She felt a hollow sense of loss. Where did she go? Even though she was embarrassed to face her, the Alpha’s absence made her heart feel empty. She almost felt like crying; even though she knew her Rabbit wasn’t the type to “eat and run,” she couldn’t help but think the worst.
But she remained logical. Lan Yan endured the physical discomfort and climbed out of bed. She didn’t expect to be so unsteady; her feet felt like they were stepping on clouds. She nearly fell back onto the bed, but managed to steady herself against the nightstand. In doing so, she accidentally knocked over the glass of water Su Yi’an had given her last night. She had been so thirsty she drank three times; one can only imagine the intensity of what happened.
The glass shattered on the floor with a crisp sound. Su Yi’an, hesitating outside the door, heard the noise and rushed in. She froze at the sight of her Sister—standing there without clothes—and her face turned a deep red. Did she break the glass because she’s angry about last night?
“Sister… are you hurt?” Su Yi’an stammered, head bowed.
“Get out,” Lan Yan said sharply, instinctively covering herself and realizing her state.
“Okay,” Su Yi’an replied, her voice sounding wounded as she turned to leave.
Hiding back under the covers, Lan Yan realized she had been too harsh. “I… I’m fine. I just accidentally broke the cup. Sweep up the shards, be careful not to hurt yourself.”
Su Yi’an revived instantly. Seeing her in the apron, Lan Yan realized she was making breakfast. Last night was consensual; how could she blame her? She was just embarrassed. If she was angry at anything, it was the little Alpha’s lack of moderation.
Su Yi’an swept up the glass quickly. Seeing her happiness, Lan Yan felt a spark of joy too. Being with an Alpha isn’t as bad as I thought, Lan Yan mused, as long as that Alpha is my Rabbit. She remembered the “I like you” whispered in her ear last night. When did she start liking me? Before or after me? Perhaps we liked each other without knowing…
After Su Yi’an left the room, Lan Yan got up again. She changed quickly, stripped the bed, and walked out with the dirty laundry, only to run into Su Yi’an. The tenderness in Su Yi’an’s eyes was undeniable. Lan Yan felt a surge of pleasure. Being liked is a wonderful thing, provided I like the person back.
“Sister, are you washing the sheets?” Su Yi’an offered to take them. “I’ll do it. Go wash up and eat.”
“I’ll do it,” Lan Yan said firmly, gripping the sheets. She didn’t want the little Alpha to see the stains. It was a matter of dignity.
“Aren’t you tired, Sister?” Su Yi’an persisted.
Lan Yan’s waist throbbed again, but she wouldn’t let go. “I’m not tired. I’ll wash them.” She just wanted to hand-wash that one specific spot before putting the rest in the machine.
Su Yi’an gave in and watched her walk to the bathroom, concerned by her gait. She says she’s not tired, but look at how she’s walking… I really was too greedy last night. She wanted to carry her Sister to the sofa, but she knew Lan Yan was proud.
Lan Yan finished and sat at the table. Breakfast was a nourishing porridge—extremely thoughtful. They ate in silence until Su Yi’an suddenly looked up.
“Sister, I will take responsibility for you. I… I like you.”
Lan Yan nearly choked. She knew Su Yi’an meant it purely; for her, “responsibility” was love.
“Sister, can you be my girlfriend? Not the ‘agreement’ kind,” Su Yi’an continued. She wanted to be with her Sister openly. If Lan Yan had feelings for her, she wouldn’t suppress her own anymore. She even wanted to marry her, but didn’t want to push too fast.
Lan Yan nodded gently. “Mhm.”
Su Yi’an’s heart soared. She leaned in closer, cautiously asking, “Then, can I…”
Lan Yan instinctively closed her eyes, expecting a kiss. Instead, the Alpha whispered, “…drive Sister to work?”
Lan Yan opened her eyes and nodded with dignity, feeling a bit silly for her own expectation. “You can.”
“Thank you, Sister,” Su Yi’an’s warm breath tickled her ear. Then she continued, “Sister, I also want to… cook for you every day.”
She wanted to occupy every part of Lan Yan’s life.
“Okay,” Lan Yan replied. The words made her heart throb more than any kiss.
