The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 55
Chapter 55
The local inn was limited, offering only single and double rooms. The eight of them took four double rooms on the second floor. He Xia would share with her girlfriend Zeng Wei, and Lan Yin would share with her aunt, Lan Yan. This left Su Yi’an to stay alone or so everyone thought.
Lan Yin was worried about her aunt’s comfort. “Little Aunt, are you okay staying here? You usually stay in five-star hotels.” Lan Yan frowned slightly but nodded. “It’s fine.” Though she felt uncomfortable thinking about who else had slept in these beds, she wouldn’t act spoiled when everyone else was adapting.
They headed to the riverside for a barbecue. The atmosphere was lively, and the air was cool after the rain. As the group worked together to grill skewers, a savory aroma filled the air. Even the reserved Lan Yan was influenced by the mood and began to try some of the food.
Su Yi’an was busy grilling for Lan Yan when He Xia pulled out a giant iron wok. “I’m making my family’s secret spicy stir-fried chicken! I learned it specifically for my future wife,” He Xia bragged, winking at Zeng Wei.
Su Yi’an flinched as hot oil splattered onto her hand. Lan Yan, sitting right next to her, saw the red mark on Su’s fair skin. Her heart tightened. Lan Yan set down her chopsticks and reached for the tongs. “Let me do it. You eat.”
Su Yi’an quickly wiped her hand. “No, Little Aunt, you eat. I’m not hungry.” She couldn’t bear the thought of Lan Yan getting burned.
One of the students joked, “Senior Su, being considerate is good, but don’t starve yourself! You’ve asked Little Aunt if she’s thirsty or hungry at least five times now.” Another added, “Senior Su is so respectful toward her elders. It’s rare to see a young person so devoted to a senior!”
Lan Yin laughed, agreeing with the “respecting elders” theory.
Respecting… elders? Su Yi’an looked at Lan Yan, feeling caught between a laugh and a cry. She had been trying to hide her feelings, but being labeled as a “pious junior” was a bit much.
Lan Yan’s face stiffened momentarily, but she quickly smoothed it over with a cool smile. “Yes, Student Su is very… respectful. It’s hard to find young people with such ‘heart’ these days.”
Respectful? Lan Yan thought. Respectful enough to leave marks all over my neck and pin me to a sofa? Feeling flustered by her own thoughts, she grabbed a nearby bottle and began to chug.
Su Yi’an watched in horror as her “Sister” downed an entire bottle of beer.
“System,” Su Yi’an whispered urgently. “How is her tolerance? Will she be okay?” Don’t worry, host, the system replied. She actually has a high tolerance and loves to drink. But once she starts, she can’t stop. And her ‘alcohol personality’ is… “Is it bad?” No. She becomes extremely well-behaved. So well-behaved that she’s easily ‘kidnapped.’ You’d better watch out.
Su Yi’an’s eyes lit up. Wait… so if she gets drunk and ‘well-behaved,’ will she wander into my bed? She struggled to hide a devious smile.
Lan Yan didn’t stop at one bottle. She drank everything on the table until her eyes grew misty and her cheeks flushed a charming pink.
“Little Aunt, you’re drinking alcohol, not water!” Lan Yin cried out. She knew that once her aunt started, there was no stopping her until she was drunk.
Lan Yin looked at the dazed, adorable version of her aunt and realized she couldn’t let her stay out in public. There were too many Alphas around, and if Lan Yan’s pheromones acted up, it would be a disaster.
“Senior Su, can you drive Little Aunt back to the inn?” Lan Yin asked. Su Yi’an agreed instantly. This is my chance!
As they walked to the car, Su Yi’an kept a respectful distance to avoid suspicion. Suddenly, Lan Yan stopped and looked back unhappily. “Rabbit… you’re being too slow.”
The crowd burst into laughter. “Haha! Little Aunt is definitely drunk! She’s hallucinating. She’s looking at Senior Su but calling for her ‘Rabbit Aunt’!”
Lan Yin pulled her aunt along, apologizing. “Little Aunt, Rabbit Aunt isn’t here. You’re seeing things.”
But Lan Yan stared intensely at Su Yi’an until Su’s palms sweated. I’m not drunk, Lan Yan thought. Rabbit is just being slow and naughty. I want wine, and I want Rabbit.
On the way back, they witnessed a commotion in the woods. A “trash Alpha” was hitting his wife and child. The woman, in despair, jumped into the river with her child. People rushed to save them, but the sight filled Lan Yan with rage.
“Trash man. Trash Alpha,” Lan Yan hissed, stepping forward to intervene. Lan Yin held her back. “Little Aunt, people are already saving them! You’ve been drinking, you can’t go!”
Su Yi’an, feeling slightly “implicated” by the insult to Alphas, comforted her. “It’s okay, Sister. They’ve been rescued. Not all Alphas are like that.” For example, I would never hurt you. I’d give you my heart on a silver platter.
Lan Yan’s anger faded, replaced by a soft smile. She whispered, “Good Rabbit.”
Lan Yin sighed. “Senior Su, let’s get her back quickly. She’s getting worse.”
Su Yi’an nodded, her heart racing. The ‘Well-Behaved’ Sister is finally coming home with me.
