The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 54
Chapter 54
The group of eight, all wearing their animal-patterned masks, strolled through the village. The local pace of life was slow and carefree. He Xia and the others chatted excitedly about retiring to such a place one day, opening a small shop, and raising children.
Lan Yan wore an off-white casual outfit that made her look much younger, allowing her to blend in perfectly with the students. As they turned onto a country lane, they were greeted by a vibrant sea of crimson flowers. The scent was strong, but manageable through their masks.
“It’s so beautiful! He Xia, quick, take photos of us!” Zeng Wei pulled Lan Yin and the other girls into the flower sea.
He Xia took the camera from Zeng Wei’s bag but warned them, “I’m terrible at photography. If you look ugly, don’t blame me!” After a few clicks, Zeng Wei checked the screen and shrieked. He Xia had managed to turn a group of tall, elegant girls into short, dark figures with their eyes closed.
“I’ll do it,” Su Yi’an volunteered, seizing the opportunity to get a photo of her “Sister.”
“Senior Su, have you studied photography?” Zeng Wei asked, curious. Su Yi’an shook her head. She hadn’t studied it formally, but even her picky friend Chen Zhi praised her shots. He Xia happily handed over the camera, eager to escape Zeng Wei’s wrath.
Su Yi’an was a natural. She directed the group, but her eyes were constantly searching for Lan Yan. “Do you want singles, pairs, or a group shot?” “Group shot first!” He Xia shouted.
While the others were getting ready, Su Yi’an caught Lan Yan off guard. Click. She captured a candid shot of Lan Yan looking at the camera with a rare, soft tenderness, her dark hair fluttering in the wind.
When the girls saw the photos, they gasped. “Senior Su! These are amazing! Look at this one of Little Aunt she looks so beautiful!” “Senior Su, please take more of us like this!” The girls crowded around Su Yi’an, some even playfully leaning into her.
Su Yi’an felt a chill. She noticed Lan Yan had taken off her mask, her lips pressed into a thin line. Is she unhappy because I took a candid photo, or because these Omegas are surrounding me? Jealousy? Su Yi’an felt a secret spark of joy at the thought. She quickly backed away from the other girls to maintain her “loyalty” to the person she was under contract with.
Finally, it was time for the photos Su Yi’an really wanted. Lan Yin approached Lan Yan. “Little Aunt, let’s take a few together.” After they finished, Lan Yin turned to Su Yi’an. “Senior Su, let me take some for you. You’ve worked so hard.”
Su Yi’an handed over the camera. This was her chance. She walked over to Lan Yan. “Little Aunt…” she began, hoping to invite her for a photo. But before she could finish, a few other girls pushed her aside. “Senior Su, take one with us first! Smile!”
Lan Yan watched from the sidelines as Su Yi’an was dragged away. Her eyes narrowed. “You guys go ahead,” she said coolly, staying put.
Su Yi’an’s smile became increasingly forced. She hated being touched by others, but she didn’t want to be rude. She kept glancing at Lan Yan. Sensing the girl’s distress and hidden hope, Lan Yan finally stepped closer.
“Little Aunt, let’s take one together,” Su Yi’an said, her heart hammering against her ribs. She was so nervous her “fake smile” vanished, replaced by an intense, serious expression.
Lan Yan found the girl’s stiff, red-faced earnestness adorable. She smiled and nodded. “Move closer!” Lan Yin shouted from behind the lens. “Senior Su, smile! Like you did before!”
Su Yi’an stepped closer to Lan Yan. The air was thick with the scent of flowers and Lan Yan’s cooling mint pheromones. Seeing Su Yi’an so paralyzed by nerves, Lan Yan reached out and gently took the Alpha’s hand.
At that touch, the chaos in Su Yi’an’s mind vanished. They looked at each other, the world around them fading away. Click. Lan Yin captured the moment. The photo looked less like a casual trip and more like a wedding portrait two people who looked as if they were the only ones left on earth.
The group eventually finished their photoshoot and headed toward the second inn. The atmosphere had shifted; Lan Yan was more relaxed, even laughing along with the students’ jokes.
Su Yi’an walked beside her. Occasionally, their hands would “accidentally” brush against each other. Every time they did, Su Yi’an’s heart skipped a beat. It felt like they were having a secret affair right in front of everyone.
As they approached the new inn, Su Yi’an’s hand felt as hot as her blushing face.
