The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 50
Chapter 50
The sleeping young Alpha looked even more well-behaved than usual. If Lan Yan lifted her head just slightly, she would brush against the girl’s chin. Yet, it was this very “well-behaved” Alpha who had tricked her last night by turning off the alarms.
Although Lan Yan knew it was out of consideration for her rest, she still felt a mix of irritation and heartache. She quietly got up and retrieved the medicine. Su Yi’an was sleeping on her side Lan Yan suspected she had held that pose all night just to keep the medicine off the pillow.
Lan Yan gently applied the cold liquid to the bump on the back of the girl’s head. Su Yi’an’s toes stiffened under the covers; she had woken up the moment Lan Yan moved, but she was too embarrassed to face her after her “deception” the night before.
“You’re awake,” Lan Yan said softly, noticing the girl’s ears turning crimson.
Su Yi’an turned over, face flushed. “Sister, I turned off the alarm because I didn’t want you to be woken up… I’m sorry.”
The coldness in Lan Yan’s heart melted into a sigh. Facing such a thoughtful girl, she couldn’t say a harsh word. “I’m not blaming you. Don’t apologize.”
While Su Yi’an busied herself making a delicious breakfast of steak, eggs, sausages, and hot milk, Lan Yan received a call from her niece, Lan (Lan Yin).
“Little Aunt, I’m coming over now. Can I catch a ride in your car this afternoon? My friend’s car is full.”
Lan Yan panicked. If Lan Yin saw Su Yi’an here this early, the secret would be out. Worse, Lan Yin intended to bring “Senior Su” (Su Yi’an) along in the same car!
Su Yi’an, seeing the situation, quickly showed Lan Yan a text from Lan Yin. Realizing she had to leave to avoid a direct confrontation, Su Yi’an prepared to slip out.
“I’ll go out for a bit and come back once Lan Yin is settled. That way, it looks like I just arrived,” Su Yi’an suggested.
Lan Yan didn’t want her to leave without eating. She quickly packed one portion of the breakfast into a disposable container and handed it to Su Yi’an along with a cup of hot milk. “Eat this while you wait.”
Su Yi’an hesitated. “Lan Yin probably hasn’t eaten yet. Maybe leave this for her?”
Lan Yan’s eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of displeasure crossing her face. Why is she so concerned about my niece? Detecting the change in mood, Su Yi’an immediately corrected herself. “On second thought, she probably already ate. I’ll take it. Thank you, Sister.” She wouldn’t do anything that made her future wife unhappy.
Su Yi’an sat on a stone bench in a secluded grove within the apartment complex, eating her “breakfast of love” while texting Lan Yin: “I happen to be nearby, I’ll be there soon.”
Meanwhile, Lan Yin arrived at the apartment. Seeing the breakfast on the table, she assumed it was made by the mysterious “Rabbit Aunt” (the Alpha she thought her aunt was hiding).
“Little Aunt, isn’t Rabbit Aunt eating?” Lan Yin asked curiously, peeking toward the bedroom.
“She’s not here. She already left,” Lan Yan replied calmly, letting her niece eat Su Yi’an’s portion.
Lan Yin was impressed. To think an Alpha as striking as “Rabbit Aunt” could cook so well! She ate happily, while Lan Yan sat nearby, checking her tablet but actually counting the minutes until Su Yi’an returned.
An hour later, after washing the glass cup (which she decided to keep as a memento since it belonged to her Sister), Su Yi’an bought a box of egg pancakes from a nearby shop to serve as her “alibi” for just arriving.
She knocked on the door. Lan Yan opened it, with Lan Yin standing right behind her.
Seeing the person she had missed for the last sixty minutes, Su Yi’an blurted out out of habit:
“Little Aunt… and Junior Lan Yin.”
