The CEO Omega’s 'Soft Rice' Alpha - Chapter 26
Chapter 26
“Let’s go, let’s go! Best Actress Chen Zhi’s new movie just came out. It’s high-paced with great reviews.”
“Chen Zhi is our favorite star. I heard she’s coming to the capital in a few days—I’m so excited! Why don’t you two seniors join us? We haven’t seen Senior Su much lately.”
The girls approached with their usual enthusiasm. Since the night Su Yi’an had been taken away by Lan Yan, they had tried to visit her twice but missed her both times.
He Xia was more than willing to go, but she was tactful this time. Instead of dragging Su Yi’an along, she nudged her and said, “I’ll go with the juniors. Your Senior Su is… ‘booked’ for tonight.”
“Oh? Is that so? Well then…”
“In that case, we wish Senior Su a fun night!”
“Next time, bring her along to watch a movie with us.”
Although they knew this day would come, the girls couldn’t help but feel a bit dejected that it happened so fast. Still, they offered their blessings generously.
It was a simple comment, but Su Yi’an’s mind couldn’t help but wander. A flush crept onto her face. “Thank you!”
A fun night? It all depended on Sister Grape. As long as she was with her, Su Yi’an was happy doing anything.
As the group split up, Su Yi’an planned to head back to the dorm to shower and change. Even though she had showered recently and only smelled faintly of medicine, she wanted to look her best. However, before she could take two steps, a familiar car pulled up. The horn honked, and Jiang Mu poked his head out of the window.
“Get in, quick!” His voice was laced with urgency.
Su Yi’an didn’t know Jiang Mu well; their only link was Lan Yan. For him to be this frantic, something must have happened to her. Perhaps that’s why Lan Yan had uncharacteristically messaged her to come over.
Su Yi’an’s pupils contracted. She hopped into the passenger seat without a second thought. “What’s wrong?”
“Lan Lan was set up. Her pheromones are out of control,” Jiang Mu said, flooring the accelerator. “She was still conscious earlier, and I thought I could stabilize her, but the situation has worsened. She desperately needs an Alpha’s pheromones. That’s why I came for you.”
“Is she at home? Is she okay alone? What do I need to do?” Su Yi’an asked frantically.
At a red light, Jiang Mu handed her a bottle of pills and some water. “I gave her some medicine before I left; it should hold her until we get there. Don’t worry too much. These pills will temporarily counteract your sterilization and stimulate your pheromones. Take two. They last for half an hour—should be enough.”
His expression was grim. Su Yi’an was terrified, but she forced herself to stay calm and swallowed the pills.
Ten minutes later, Jiang Mu smelled a rich wine fragrance filling the car. He pulled over, tossed her the keys, and urged: “Go! Don’t keep her waiting. Call me when she’s lucid. And… forget it…”
As an Omega, he knew the upcoming scene wasn’t for him to witness. Given Lan Yan’s pride, she might actually want to kill him if he stayed. He wanted to tell Su Yi’an that a temporary marking would suffice to soothe her, but pheromone entanglement wasn’t something you could just stop on a whim unless you had incredible willpower.
I just hope this little Alpha knows how to be gentle, he thought. But the medicine only lasts thirty minutes. Even if she loses her head, she won’t be able to hurt Lan Lan too much.
Jiang Mu popped two watermelon candies into his mouth and ordered takeout. It was after 6:00 PM and he was starving. He doubted the “little Alpha” would have the energy to cook for them tonight.
Su Yi’an grabbed the keys and sprinted to the building. In the elevator, her heart hammered against her ribs, and her breath grew heavy. Her palms were sweating, making the keys slick. She was worried, yes, but also filled with an unspeakable, hidden joy.
As she opened the front door, she hesitated for a split second. Did I forget something?
But the thought vanished as a wave of grape fragrance hit her. It was coming from the bedroom, thick and sweet, making it hard for her brain to stay 100% rational. Saving Sister Grape was all that mattered.
She pushed open the slightly ajar bedroom door.
The sight of black and white nearly made her heart stop.
“Sister…” Su Yi’an whispered, swallowing hard. She didn’t dare move, afraid to break the spell of the scene before her.
On the black bed, Lan Yan’s dark hair was splayed out like silk. Her face was flushed, her lips parted, and her eyes were unfocused, like someone deeply intoxicated. Her clothes were in disarray, barely hanging off her arms, revealing patches of snow-white skin that contrasted sharply with the dark sheets.
Driven mad by the pheromone surge, she had clawed at her own neck, leaving visible red streaks. Her wrists were bruised too—evidence of the silent struggle she had endured alone.
Su Yi’an’s heart ached with pity. As she stepped forward, Lan Yan—seemingly weak a moment ago—smelled the Alpha’s wine pheromones. Her eyes turned red with desire. She lunged forward with surprising strength, wrapping her arms tightly around Su Yi’an.
Hot, shallow breaths fell against Su Yi’an’s neck. Su Yi’an’s backpack slipped from her shoulder, hitting the floor with a thud. Then, a cold hand slid beneath the hem of Su Yi’an’s T-shirt.
“Sister… you…” Su Yi’an tried to speak, but her words were swallowed by the red lips she had coveted for so long.
The two scents tangled. Su Yi’an felt like she was walking on clouds; she was drunk on Lan Yan. The black bed dipped under their combined weight.
No one noticed that as the backpack fell, a black plastic bag spilled open. Its contents scattered across the floor—boxes clearly labeled with the words “Condoms” and “Lubricant.”
Su Yi’an’s legendary self-control disintegrated the moment Lan Yan took the lead. Influenced by the pheromones, she pinned Lan Yan’s hands with one of her own and leaned in to bite the back of her neck.
This time, the bite was deeper. A flood of wine-scented pheromones poured into Lan Yan’s gland. Tears pricked the corners of Lan Yan’s eyes from the intensity, but the shock of the marking brought her back to her senses.
“Don’t…” Lan Yan gasped, her hand weakly gripping Su Yi’an’s.
“I’m sorry, Sister!” Su Yi’an snapped awake. She frantically pulled the quilt over Lan Yan and scrambled out of bed, searching for her T-shirt under the bed. Her hands shook as she dressed.
She had almost crossed the line.
“Sister, I… I’m going to the bathroom.” Su Yi’an couldn’t bring herself to look at Lan Yan. She bolted from the room.
Standing at the sink, she splashed cold water on her face. Her heart was still racing. She smelled her own hand—the scent of Lan Yan lingered there. She isn’t as cold as she pretends to be, Su Yi’an thought. Maybe with more time, I can truly have her. I can’t rush this. A woman like Lan Yan has to be won over heart first.
Once she calmed down, she sat on the living room sofa. She thought about messaging Jiang Mu but decided to wait for Lan Yan to come out and speak first.
Inside the bedroom, it was silent. Lan Yan stared at the ceiling, curled into a ball.
Being marked again by the “little sister” made her realize she had almost lost the defense she’d held for thirty years. Aside from the final act, they had done just about everything else.
She felt a mix of shame—at her own body’s reaction—and fury toward Zhang Baiyang. That greasy man had been sending Alphas into her path all week, and though they hadn’t touched her, the sheer volume of pheromones had triggered her heat cycle early.
At least she had chosen the injured “little sister” over him. That thought made her feel slightly better. But now, she faced a three-day “special period.” How was she supposed to survive it with the girl in the next room? She felt like a Big Bad Wolf repeatedly leading a Little White Rabbit into a trap.
She sat up, the quilt sliding down to reveal the fresh, stinging marks on her skin. She clenched her fists. The girl is young, but her teeth are sharp, she thought.
Lan Yan walked to the closet for a change of clothes. A breeze from the window caught the black plastic bag on the floor, blowing it across the room. Lan Yan’s gaze followed it, and her face instantly turned cold as she saw the two boxes that had tumbled out.
