The Black Lotus Omega Always Wraps His Tail Around Me - Chapter 24
Ji Yanwan had no idea what Fu Suihe was thinking. She turned her head to look out the window and sighed inwardly at how far she had strayed from her original mission.
Both of them were lost in their own thoughts as the car moved steadily through the night.
By the time they arrived home, it was already past midnight.
Ji Yanwan led Fu Suihe inside. The house was completely dark. All traces of her two sisters had already been removed.
Holding Fu Suihe’s hand, Ji Yanwan guided her into the living room and finally allowed herself to relax.
“No one else is home. You can go upstairs and choose whichever room you like.”
Fu Suihe looked around carefully. The expansive flat stretched out of sight. The first floor was decorated in cool tones, and every piece of furniture and decor was exquisitely chosen. Every corner silently reflected the power and status of the Ji family.
It was a standalone three-story villa. Since Ji Hesong had trouble walking, there was an elevator installed at the entrance.
Fu Suihe didn’t dare look around too much. She quickly lowered her head.
Ji Yanwan noticed her nervousness and stepped closer, gently holding her hand.
“This is the elevator. There are guest rooms on the second and third floors. Where would you like to stay?”
Fu Suihe didn’t answer right away. Instead, she asked softly, “Which floor is your room on?”
“My room is on the third floor,” Ji Yanwan replied.
Fu Suihe nodded, stepped forward and pressed the button for the third floor.
The third floor was Ji Yanwan’s main living area. The walls of the sitting room had been removed to install large floor-to-ceiling windows. The curtains were drawn to the sides, revealing a wide view of the bustling city. From here, you could see the countless lights and constant stream of traffic below.
Fu Suihe blinked and quietly followed Ji Yanwan while listening to her speak.
“If you don’t mind, you can sleep in this room,” Ji Yanwan said as she stopped in front of two doors in the hallway. She pointed to the one across. “That one is mine.”
Fu Suihe nodded and thanked her politely.
“All right. You’ve had a long day. Go ahead and get settled so you can rest,” Ji Yanwan said with a yawn as she stretched. “There are new towels and a robe in the bathroom, along with some toiletries. Just make do with those for now. We can buy new ones tomorrow.”
Fu Suihe listened to her instructions and only responded with quiet nods and soft words of thanks.
When she entered the room, she found it spacious and tastefully decorated. The bedding was brand new. There was a large wardrobe and a writing desk. Everything she might need was already prepared.
She walked up and opened the wardrobe, discovering that all the items Ji Yanwan had bought for her were already neatly placed inside.
Ji Yanwan’s room was just next door.
Fu Suihe gently pressed her lips together, then turned and walked into the bathroom.
Later, Ji Yanwan finished her shower. Exhaustion overwhelmed her. She closed the curtains to block out the night and clumsily climbed into bed.
A soft knock sounded at the door. It was quiet and hesitant.
“What is it?” Ji Yanwan called out as she got out of bed to open the door. “Do you need something?”
She was stunned by the sight before her.
Fu Suihe stood there, freshly out of the shower. Her hair was still dripping, and the water traced down her pale collarbones. The front of her bathrobe was damp, clinging to her skin and faintly revealing the curves beneath.
What caught Ji Yanwan off guard the most was that Fu Suihe had not put on a scent blocker. The soft fragrance of blue cypress flowed through the doorway and quickly filled the room.
That delicate and almost sheer outfit from the dressing room now hugged Fu Suihe’s figure tightly, leaving little to the imagination.
Dark fabric wrapped around her fair skin. A small bell at her neck swayed and chimed gently with her every movement.
“I just want to repay you,” Fu Suihe whispered as she bit her lip. Her ears flushed red with embarrassment.
Ji Yanwan’s eyes darkened. She felt something inside her shift and loosen.
She reached out and closed Fu Suihe’s robe, gripping it tightly with one hand. Slowly, she pulled her closer.
There was barely any space between them. Fu Suihe’s warm breath landed on Ji Yanwan’s chest. Whether from nervousness or the cool air, her whole body trembled slightly.
“I don’t need you to repay me,” Ji Yanwan said calmly.
She held on to the edge of Fu Suihe’s robe but didn’t do anything more.
Turning her head to stare at the wall, Ji Yanwan struggled to suppress the growing desire rising within her.
“Put on a scent blocker. Dry your hair. And don’t come out like this again.”
Fu Suihe blinked, her face full of confusion as she asked softly, “Why?”
“Do what I said first, then come back to me,” Ji Yanwan replied, releasing her hand and retreating into her room as if fleeing.
Ten minutes later, there was another knock at the door. Fu Suihe had already changed into proper clothes and applied a scent-blocking patch.
“Do you know what it means when an Omega knocks on an Alpha’s bedroom door in the middle of the night?” Ji Yanwan let out a deep sigh, trying to calm her emotions. “Are you hoping I’ll mark you?”
Fu Suihe held the doorknob in silence and simply lifted her eyes to look at her.
“The first time, you used an inducer on me at the hotel. The second time, you dropped your key card for me at the bar,” Ji Yanwan said quietly. “The third time was in the fitting room. And now, is this the fourth?”
Fu Suihe’s face turned bright red. She bit her lip and mumbled, “Uncle said, if you want to capture an Alpha’s heart, you have to…”
Ji Yanwan frowned and interrupted her. “What on earth has your uncle been teaching you? Don’t listen to him.”
“As an Omega, the most important thing is to protect your own gland. Don’t ever do this again. Always wear a scent-blocking patch, no matter what, understand?”
Her tone turned firm and a little nagging, almost like a scolding guardian.
Fu Suihe nodded obediently.
“It’s late. Get some sleep,” Ji Yanwan said after giving her final warning. Then she quickly closed the door.
The room was still filled with the lingering scent of pheromones. Ji Yanwan took several deep breaths before she managed to calm down. The fire that had not been quenched during the day now flared up again. At this rate, she would lose control sooner or later.
Without hesitation, Ji Yanwan sent a message to Meng Jiayu, saying she would be staying over at her place. Then she began packing her things.
Inside the room, Ji Yanwan moved quickly and chaotically. But outside, Fu Suihe remained motionless.
Staring at the closed door, the once fragile and gentle expression in Fu Suihe’s eyes quickly turned cold.
She reached up to touch her dormant gland and sneered to herself. At the age of eighteen, when she first differentiated, her normally stingy uncle had spent a fortune to arrange for her surgery.
The procedure lasted three days and nights. She had hovered at death’s door countless times. Every heat cycle afterward had been a torturous ordeal.
It was the price she had paid for this custom-designed gland. And now, even when she delivered herself to Ji Yanwan, Ji Yanwan still chose to pretend otherwise.
After pretending to be soft and gentle for an entire day, Fu Suihe no longer bothered to hide her true self. Getting into this house was only the first step. The next would be getting engaged.
Now that she had moved in, Ji Yanwan falling for her was only a matter of time. She could dodge her once, but not forever.
Fu Suihe took one last deep look at the tightly closed bedroom door, then smiled coldly and returned to her own room.
What she didn’t expect was that the next day, Ji Yanwan had completely vanished from the house.
