Chapter 6: Want Me to Let Go? Beg Me
Lu Siyang’s face was scorching hot. He tilted his head back and proactively pressed his lips against Fang Lv’s, smothering all those rebellious words. The torrential rain outside the car window became the perfect veil, hiding the sensual scenery within the cabin…
By the time the car slowly came to a stop outside the villa, Lu Siyang had already straightened his shirt with a composed expression. Without even looking back, he said in a flat tone: “Thanks.”
Having said that, he prepared to open the door and get out.
“Wait.”
Fang Lv reached out and grabbed his wrist in a firm grip.
Lu Siyang turned his head and immediately saw the light purple bite mark on Fang Lv’s collarbone; he himself was the culprit. Pretending not to see it, he looked away: “What, does Boss Fang still have business?”
Fang Lv’s gaze, however, looked directly into his eyes without any evasion, carrying a sort of suppressed heat: “Aren’t you going to invite me in for a cup of tea?”
Their eyes met, and both saw surging undercurrents in each other’s gaze. After a long while, Lu Siyang looked away: “Sorry, there’s no tea in my house.”
With that, he pulled his arm from Fang Lv’s hand and got out of the car without mercy.
However, before he could take more than a few steps, his back fell into a burning chest.
“No tea, then—” Fang Lv rested his chin in the crook of Lu Siyang’s neck, his magnetic, low voice ringing against his ear, “plain water is fine too.”
Fang Lv’s breath brushed against his earlobe. Lu Siyang’s whole body trembled; he cleared his throat and said with a feigned normal expression: “Suit yourself.”
As he spoke, he used his fingerprint to unlock the front door.
Just as the door swung open, the person behind him impatiently circled his waist and pinned him against the wall.
“Ugh—” In a moment of mental chaos, Lu Siyang used his last shred of reason to say, “Wait… close the door…”
Fang Lv ripped off his suit jacket, a light laugh escaping from between his teeth: “Doesn’t President Lu like a thrill?”
Lu Siyang ignored Fang Lv’s nonsense. With burning cheeks, he tried to reach for the door to close it. Unexpectedly, as he turned, Fang Lv pinned his hands behind his back and pressed him against the doorframe, while one hand reached for his belt.
Lu Siyang let out a cry of alarm: “Let me go!”
It was broad daylight and the front door was wide open. His clothes were a mess and his face was pressed against the doorframe; if a passing neighbor saw this… He struggled violently twice, but the strength in the arms pinning him was staggering; he couldn’t move at all.
Lu Siyang said angrily: “Fang Lv! You’re crazy! Let me go, quick!”
“Want me to let go?” Fang Lv looked at his humiliated and angry expression with composure, intentionally saying: “Beg me.”
Lu Siyang bit his lip and glared fiercely at Fang Lv.
“Not going to say it?”
Fang Lv clamped down on his arms with one hand and made a move to undo the button of his trousers.
Lu Siyang’s eyes widened in shock: “What are you doing!”
Fang Lv’s fingers circled around his belt: “If you don’t beg me, by the time I count to three, I’m undoing them. One, two—”
“Wait!”
Damn it! Fang Lv… Fang Lv was simply a lunatic!
Lu Siyang breathed rapidly. The feeling of being potentially watched at any moment made his heart race, but to say words of supplication to Fang Lv…
“Please…” He opened his mouth, but the voice seemed stuck in his throat. He simply couldn’t utter such embarrassing words.
Suddenly, there was the sound of a vehicle driving nearby. Lu Siyang’s pupils constricted—it was the property management’s cleaning truck!
He said in terror: “Fang Lv! Close the door, quick! Someone’s coming!”
Fang Lv blew a breath against his neck, his tone still unhurried: “Then aren’t you going to beg me soon?”
From the corner of his eye, he saw the green cleaning truck had already turned the corner. In just two or three more meters, they would see his wide-open front door. Perhaps a staff member would even get out to check; then, they would see this humiliating sight…
Fck…
Lu Siyang bitted his teeth and simply went for it: “I beg… I beg you, Fang Lv, please! Close the door!”
Fang Lv pulled him back into his arms and closed the front door with one hand.
“Fang Lv,” Lu Siyang shook off Fang Lv’s arms, his words carrying suppressed anger, “you’d better get the hell out of here before I call security.”
“What, you didn’t like it?” Meeting Lu Siyang’s gaze full of irritation, Fang Lv’s eyes swept downward, saying with deep meaning: “Your body certainly liked it a lot.”
“You—” Lu Siyang’s words choked in his throat, and his entire face turned red.
Fang Lv pressed in again, his burning lips moving to the side of his ear, his voice so low it made him shiver: “Baby, I was wrong.”
His heart leaped violently. Lu Siyang felt even his fingertips become scorching hot: “What are you shouting!”
He frowned and gave the other man a push back, though there wasn’t much strength in the motion.
Fang Lv’s light gray eyes gradually deepened. He suddenly grabbed Lu Siyang’s waist and pinned him onto the sofa.
“Buzz buzz buzz—”
The sound of vibration rang out from the floor. Lu Siyang lifted his head from the pillow. He looked at the room which had already grown dark, then at the digital clock on the bedside, and was stunned for a moment.
It was actually… nine o’clock? He clearly remembered that when he came back, it wasn’t even noon. Is it already dark now?
He wanted to roll over and sit up, but felt something heavy pressing on his lower back. He fumbled around and found it was a firm, muscular arm lying across his waist.
The sound of deep breathing seemed to be right against the top of his head. He turned his face, his nose almost brushing against Fang Lv’s lower lip. Warm breath sprayed against his cheek.
Fang Lv’s cold, hard features, his slightly furrowed thick brows, his sharp jawline, and his chest rising and falling with his breath… Scenes that made one’s face flush flickered through his mind like a movie.
Lu Siyang buried his face in the pillow. Absurd… simply too absurd… how did he…
“Buzz buzz buzz—”
The phone, which had fallen onto the carpet at some point, was still vibrating, its screen emitting a dim light in the dark bedroom. Lu Siyang lifted Fang Lv’s arm, crawled to the edge of the bed, and grabbed the phone from the floor.
When he saw the name displayed on the screen, his brain instantly snapped out of its blank state—it was Assistant Zhang.
Assistant Zhang was a professional assistant assigned to him by his father. He was serious, rigorous, and meticulous—and he treated working hours the same way, never doing a bit of extra work during his time off. If he contacted him after hours, it was absolutely about something major.
The last time he called at this hour was not long after his father, Lu Gang, had passed away. His eldest uncle, Lu Minghe, had misappropriated shares and used despicable means to threaten several other shareholders, preparing to call a board meeting to kick Lu Siyang out. After Assistant Zhang got the news, he called him overnight to tip him off.
Thinking of this, Lu Siyang’s eyelid twitched. To call this late today—could something have happened again…
He hurriedly scrambled out of bed. Ignoring his aching back and waist, he grabbed a bathrobe and went to the balcony.
“Hello, Assistant Zhang.”
“President Lu, sorry to disturb you so late.”
Judging by Assistant Zhang’s tone, he didn’t seem as anxious as imagined. Lu Siyang breathed a faint sigh of relief: “What happened?”
“Do you remember that incident last month at the Qingyun District branch of the AM hotel chain?”
Hearing this, Lu Siyang remembered immediately. AM is a hotel chain under the Lu Corporation. Last month, the manager of the Qingyun District branch had privately withheld three months’ wages from all employees and fled with all the funds. He remembered this matter had already been handed over to the legal department, and the follow-up had been handled by the police. Had there been another turn of events?
Lu Siyang’s brow tightened: “I remember. What’s the problem?”
“Yes, President Lu,” Assistant Zhang continued, “those dozens of employees from the Qingyun District branch had originally reached a compensation agreement with the legal department. However, for some reason, they all suddenly came to the Lu Corporation building this evening to cause a scene, even hanging banners to demand their unpaid wages.”
Hearing this, Lu Siyang’s tone couldn’t help but rise a few levels: “Hanging banners? What, they think the compensation is too little?”
Assistant Zhang said: “That is a possibility. But… President Lu, in the final analysis, this matter is a problem on AM’s side. If we really look into it, it doesn’t have much to do with our Lu Corporation. But what’s strange is that today, the employees leading the group kept insisting that our Lu Corporation owes them wages. Furthermore, that group also brought several reporters to stake out the Lu Corporation building…”
“Reporters? You mean—” Lu Siyang’s scalp tingled. His body, which had been leaning back on the balcony sofa, slowly straightened up. “Someone is manipulating this behind the scenes? The goal is to target the Lu Corporation?”
Assistant Zhang replied: “Yes, President Lu. However, I only suspect it; I have no definitive evidence.”
After a long silence, Lu Siyang spoke: “Go investigate who those employees have been in contact with lately.”
“Yes, President Lu.”
Hanging up the phone, he took a deep breath and leaned back into the sofa seat. After a bout of autumn rain, the late-night air already carried a bone-chilling cold. The misty night carried the bleakness of early winter. The streetlights in front of the villa glowed with a warm white light, illuminating the yellowed fallen leaves on the marble path.
Lu Siyang maintained his current posture, staring blankly at the moths battering themselves against the streetlights. Since taking over the Lu Corporation, in just a few short months, he had lost count of how many nights he had sat here until dawn.
He had entered the Lu Corporation after graduating from university and had achieved significant results, but achieving results and standing on one’s own were, after all, different. His father’s sudden death pushed him hastily to the forefront. After dealing with his greedy uncle, he gritted his teeth to prop up the massive Lu Corporation. He began attending cocktail parties he previously looked down upon, patiently read through dense contracts word by word, and learned to speak high-sounding platitudes in front of business partners.
Little did anyone know that for the Lu Corporation to barely maintain the status quo, he had already exhausted his efforts… it was only now that he truly understood his father’s past pressure and hardship.
A gust of cold wind blew, and Lu Siyang shivered. He tightened his bathrobe and buried his face in his arms with exhaustion. In a daze, he only felt his surroundings grow warm, as if something warm had enveloped him. He closed his eyes, his body instinctively leaning toward the heat source, and fell into a deep sleep…
