Studying Is Such A Damn Thing - Chapter 25
“Who are you?! What do you think you’re doing?!”
The surroundings were pitch black, and You Cheche couldn’t even tell how many people were there or who they were. He was being held in a tight grip, and aside from shouting, there was absolutely nothing he could do.
A thin young man walked over and patted You Cheche’s face. He leaned in close, breathing hot, damp air against Cheche’s ear.
“Cheche, you made me wait a long time. Qi Yuan made me look like a fool today, so as his person, how are you going to compensate me on his behalf?”
As soon as the man spoke, You Cheche knew exactly who he was.
“Lin Ruinuo! You lunatic! Don’t you know kidnapping is illegal?!”
“You’re not an Omega, and I’m not killing or beating you, so how is it illegal?”
You Cheche ground his teeth so hard they nearly shattered. “Then what the hell do you want?!”
“Take a guess. You’re not ugly, and you’re a Beta too. Perfect, why don’t we start a Beta-Beta romance, okay?”
You Cheche’s pupils shrank, and his face went deathly pale. “Pah! Get lost! Don’t touch me!”
“That’s not up to you.” Even in the darkness, the sickly, pathological light in Lin Ruinuo’s eyes was disturbingly bright.
Lin Ruinuo waved his hand, signaling the large thugs to strip You Cheche’s clothes off.
You Cheche fought back desperately, screaming until his throat was raw, but no one passed by.
Meanwhile, Qi Yuan and the others were going frantic looking for him. Shen Yiyi had called dozens of times, but no one picked up.
Qi Yuan and Song Chaolian, along with Tang Yuwei, had scoured the entire campus but couldn’t find a trace of You Cheche.
Li Yuyu and Shen Yiyi were outside the school, desperately asking passersby if they had seen him.
But it was all for nothing.
Li Yuyu was already in tears. The five of them ran to the security booth to check the surveillance footage. The cameras showed that You Cheche had headed toward home at 9:00 PM.
The group followed his route home, constantly asking around and searching.
By this time, You Cheche had been mostly stripped. Late autumn nights were naturally freezing, and standing in the street with barely anything on was brutally cold. He shivered, cursing Lin Ruinuo as a beast, but every time he tried to struggle, he was pinned down.
“Looking at you like this, your body is actually pretty good,” Lin Ruinuo said, surprised.
A playful, twisted smile crossed his face. “If I record a video of me taking you and show it to Qi Yuan… do you think he’ll go crazy?”
You Cheche’s eyes widened, turning bloodshot. “You wouldn’t dare?! Damn you! There’s no way I’m letting you touch me today! I’ll curse your entire family tree! You brainless, low-life scum!”
“Why is the little rabbit still biting? That’s not right.”
Lin Ruinuo gestured for the men nearby to gag him.
Right at that moment, Li Yuyu heard a commotion coming from the alleyway. She covered her mouth in disbelief, tears streaming down her face, and quickly found the four Alphas to enter the alley together.
Just as Lin Ruinuo was about to commit his foul act, a furious roar interrupted him.
“Dammit! Lin Ruinuo! Get your hands off him!” Qi Yuan rolled up his sleeves and grabbed a nearby club, his eyes red as he charged forward like a madman. Song Chaolian frowned and remarked, “Too reckless,” before elegantly picking up a brick, blowing the dust off it, and stepping forward.
Seeing a thug about to swing a club at him, Song Chaolian dodged to the side and moved swiftly behind the man. Before the opponent could react, he brought the brick down, knocking him unconscious.
Qi Yuan faced three men alone. He struck the first man’s leg with his club, then spun around to hit him in the back. After a brief stumble, he swung the club against the second man’s head. Qi Yuan kicked the first man away, knocked the second one out cold with another blow, then slammed his fist into a man’s face before kicking him hard in the stomach.
The third man tried to ambush him from behind, but before his brick could land, Qi Yuan had already turned and blocked it with his club. With a quick sweep of his leg, he tripped the man, straddled him, and landed a direct hit to the face with the club.
K.O.!
As for You Cheche, Lin Ruinuo had bolted the moment the five of them burst in. You Cheche was left standing in the corner. Li Yuyu rushed forward heart-brokenly, taking off her coat to wrap it around him. His original clothes were torn to shreds and unwearable.
The four Alphas quickly finished off the thugs and hurried over, worriedly checking if You Cheche was injured.
Qi Yuan stood to the side, looking grim. The darkness swallowed his features, leaving only the faint glint in his eyes and the glowing ember of the cigarette in his mouth.
Amidst the drifting smoke, Qi Yuan stared at You Cheche through the haze. His hands were clenched tight, his heart overflowing with rage—rage toward Lin Ruinuo.
If it weren’t for the need to comfort You Cheche first, Qi Yuan would have wanted to kill Lin Ruinuo right then and there. With Song Chaolian and Tang Yuwei present, the Song and Tang families wouldn’t even need to combine their strength to keep him safe for the rest of his life.
The night quietly faded away, and the light was about to arrive.
