Pei Nan no longer resisted the lips that Xue Xingqi pressed against his. He lay comfortably on the bed, cushioned by the soft bedding, with Xue Xingqi pressing down on him. While he felt the weight, he also felt an indescribable sense of security, as if he weren’t worried at all that Xue Xingqi might use this opportunity to do something else. Both his hands cradled Xue Xingqi’s head as he kissed him back with abandon.
Pei Nan was good-looking; every one of his features could be called beautiful. However, because of his personality and the aura he carried from years of athletic training and swimming, people rarely noticed his beauty at first glance. Instead, they saw the dashing and handsome demeanor that everyone acknowledged and had to admit.
At that moment, his lips were swollen and rosy from being kissed, and the traces of moisture overflowing from the corners of his mouth dampened half of his chin. His lips, which could not close, were parted as he gasped for breath. His handsome brows were slightly furrowed, and his eyes were blurred and dazed. Looking at him like this, Xue Xingqi felt a tightening in his lower abdomen.
“Open your mouth, one more time.”
Xue Xingqi had developed a taste for it. Blocking any words of refusal Pei Nan might have, he once again invaded Pei Nan’s mouth to seize territory. Xue Xingqi had always been a good student; when Pei Nan had actively kissed him earlier, he had already figured out Pei Nan’s sensitive spots.
He knew Pei Nan liked his tongue-tip to be sucked and enjoyed deep kisses. He also knew that Pei Nan couldn’t handle his palate being touched it was so sensitive that a single touch would make his whole body tremble. He meticulously looked after all the spots Pei Nan liked before sweeping across his palate at the moment Pei Nan was most lost in it.
“Mmph!”
The moment his palate was licked, Pei Nan almost sprang up, but due to Xue Xingqi’s suppression and the stimulation, he lost most of his strength. As Xue Xingqi continuously swept over the sensitive zone of his palate, his eyeballs uncontrollably rolled upward, creating a genuine illusion that he was being “f-ed” dry by Xue Xingqi’s tongue.
Out of desperation, Pei Nan tried to bite down, but before his teeth could harm the intruder, Xue Xingqi gripped his jaw to control him. He widened his eyes, staring at Xue Xingqi in disbelief. Perhaps out of sheer anger, Pei Nan finally gathered some strength. He reached out to grab the hair on the back of Xue Xingqi’s head and, with bloodshot eyes, pulled him away. “You motherf—”
“Be good,” Xue Xingqi chuckled. He pulled Pei Nan’s hand down, opened his five fingers to slide between the other’s, and after interlocking their fingers, pressed them down beside Pei Nan’s head, firmly locking the person beneath him.
Pei Nan’s head was spinning and his face was flushed. “Good, my ass! Have you motherf—ing kissed enough yet? Get off me!”
“Not enough,” Xue Xingqi said. After speaking, he lowered his head and lightly brushed his lips against Pei Nan’s.
Pei Nan was suddenly left speechless. If Xue Xingqi had bickered with him or said something nonsensical, he definitely would have had a comeback for everything. But because Xue Xingqi didn’t say a word and honestly answered his mindless question, he actually felt a bit embarrassed.
Besides, why was this kiss so innocent?
They had clearly just had an intense make-out session, and his lips were swollen from this “gentleman’s” kissing, so why was he playing the “light peck” game now that it was over?
Using the bedside lamp, Pei Nan took a serious look at Xue Xingqi. The face was still that strikingly handsome face, but the upright, cold “high mountain flower” vibe was gone. He felt his own lips were just burning, but looking at Xue Xingqi’s, he felt they might even be painful; the bead of blood emerging from the center of the other man’s lip seemed to be expanding.
Noticing Pei Nan’s gaze, Xue Xingqi chuckled and flicked out his tongue-tip to sweep the bead of blood into his lips.
Pei Nan stared unblinkingly at the movement. The contrast was too great; he was almost seduced by the other’s teasing and playful expression. He held his ground and muttered, “You’re like a male fox spirit.”
Xue Xingqi couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Pei Nan’s blunt metaphor was too characteristic of him anyone who could seduce others was a “fox spirit,” regardless of whether they were male or female.
“What are you laughing at!” Pei Nan retorted in thin-skinned anger. “You know exactly what you’ve done. Have you been trying to seduce me all along? And when seduction failed, did you resort to a thousand schemes and a hundred tricks?”
“So you knew. But you got the last part wrong I haven’t even used a tenth of my schemes yet before you agreed to date me.” Xue Xingqi’s eyes were filled with shimmering light and the complete reflection of Pei Nan. As he spoke, he couldn’t help but kiss him again. Even though Pei Nan was putting on an “only talk, no touching” attitude, he still had to steal a kiss.
Pei Nan felt Xue Xingqi was cheating. Falling in love seemed to come naturally to this guy; he was like a kissing fish, always using his mouth to block Pei Nan’s words. After finally regaining the use of his own mouth, Pei Nan spoke like a machine gun: “When did I ever say I’d date you? Don’t flatter yourself.”
“I’m very traditional when it comes to dating. It’s all about a slow transition from holding hands to hugging to kissing. And every time I date, it’s with marriage in mind. Can you marry me? If you’re just curious about this kind of relationship, I can give it a try with you, but I hope we can part on good terms wait, wait, wait—”
Seeing Xue Xingqi’s face darken as he prepared to kiss him again unreasonably, Pei Nan quickly stopped him. “Let me finish. I know you’re a good person, but being a good person doesn’t guarantee a permanent commitment. Think clearly before you answer me.”
Pei Nan’s family background determined his attitude toward relationships and marriage. He didn’t think children of single parents lived poorly, nor did he think his parents were wrong to divorce for a better life. He just felt a sense of longing and caution regarding the concept of a “home,” hoping to be treated with consistency from beginning to end.
His eyes were watery, bright, and clear.
With immense treasure and affection, Xue Xingqi rested his forehead against Pei Nan’s. His heart felt soft, and a moist emotion enveloped the two of them in the late night. In the quiet space, there was only the sound of each other’s heartbeats. “Pei Nan, I don’t think I’ve told you yet I fell for you at first sight.”
“There’s a recent theory called ‘physiological liking.’ It says that what a person likes is a choice of genetics; it is long-lasting and stable, making one choose the same thing over and over again among all options. I like you. Every gene in my body favors you.”
“I don’t know how to run a perfect family, but I am willing to experience and explore our own life together with you. When I look into your eyes, I feel my heart beat and I find myself making concessions for you time and time again. I feel nothing proves my love for you more than this.”
Pei Nan’s eyelashes trembled. He reached out to wrap his arms around Xue Xingqi’s neck, and the voice he let out was soft and gentle a tone he wouldn’t have used before. He felt embarrassed just hearing himself. “I want to kiss you.”
Xue Xingqi pulled him close, and they rolled into the blankets.
The two of them slept late and woke up even later. Pei Nan’s biological clock functioned briefly, allowing him to check the time before falling back asleep. By the time he was fully awake, it was already past 10:00 AM.
Xue Xingqi was sitting by the window with a laptop from who-knows-where, typing away. Of course, the “clatter-clack” was just something Pei Nan imagined while watching his fingers move rapidly across the keyboard; in reality, he didn’t hear any keyboard noise at all.
“Awake?” As soon as Xue Xingqi noticed Pei Nan was awake, he immediately stopped his work. He walked to the bedside, stroking Pei Nan’s hair which was sticking up from sleep, his heart filled with sweetness. “Go wash up. I’ll order breakfast to be brought up.”
With that, he kissed Pei Nan’s cheek.
Pei Nan let Xue Xingqi kiss him as he pleased. Since they had already acknowledged their relationship, it was normal for couples to be a bit clingy. Learning from Xue Xingqi, he gave a kiss back. “I won’t eat. I’ll just have lunch in a bit. Why did you get up so early? Didn’t we go to sleep together?”
“There were some urgent matters to handle this morning, and once I was up, I didn’t want to go back to sleep.” Xue Xingqi was delighted by Pei Nan’s initiative, and the last traces of apprehension in his heart were dispelled by Pei Nan’s actions.
“Okay, then. Thanks for the hard work.” Pei Nan wasn’t one to lounge in bed; after a few words, he felt more awake.
He habitually flipped back the covers and stepped into his slippers, only to feel a chill all over his body. Looking down, he realized he was only wearing underwear. He looked at Xue Xingqi, remembering that the bathrobe he had been wearing last night had been stripped off and tossed aside while they were fooling around.
Xue Xingqi stood by with his arms crossed, watching Pei Nan with amusement. His appreciative gaze was blatant, and as it landed on Pei Nan, it felt even more intense than before. Tilting his head, Pei Nan asked with a smile, “Do you have any more clothes?”
“I do.” Xue Xingqi actually had seasonal clothes prepared here; he just hadn’t put them by the bed for fear that Pei Nan wouldn’t want to wear them. “I’ll go get them for you. This bathrobe is new; you can make do with it for now.”
He pointed to the one on Pei Nan’s headboard.
Pei Nan stood up grandly and shook out the bathrobe, flipping it over his shoulders. He was too lazy to tie the belt, intending to let it hang loose until he finished washing up and could change into clothes directly. Xue Xingqi’s hands felt itchy watching this; as Pei Nan passed by him, he reached out and hooked his arm around his waist.
“What are you doing?” Pei Nan asked, puzzled.
Holding him, Xue Xingqi’s fingers nimbly smoothed out the belt and tied it for him. “It’s more convenient this way.”
“What ‘convenient’? I didn’t have these formalities when I used to come out of the pool after training.” With a “I’ve seen right through you” look, Pei Nan said cockily, “You just want to take the opportunity to take advantage of me.”
Xue Xingqi couldn’t love this side of Pei Nan more. He nipped at the jade-white earlobe in front of him, his tongue-tip pushing and sucking. Before long, the earlobe had turned a deep crimson from the blood flow. Just before Pei Nan reached his limit and tried to dodge, Xue Xingqi squeezed his waist and said with a melodic, laughing voice, “You’re right.”
“Cough, cough, cough—!”
Chen Bin didn’t want to disturb his two “dads,” but he was truly terrified by the dialogue and choked on his own spit. His face turned beet red as he clutched his throat, coughing so hard he almost passed out.
Pei Nan still had some “father-son” affection for Chen Bin. Although it was a bit embarrassing for his “eldest son” to see him dating, there was no reason to let the son lose his life. He ran over in two or three steps to pat Chen Bin on the back. “Xue Xingqi, come look! He won’t be the first person to choke to death on his own spit, will he?”
Chen Bin gripped Pei Nan’s wrist. “You… cough cough… wish me… cough cough… some luck.”
Seeing that he could still speak, Pei Nan felt relieved. He gave a few more pats and handed the guy over to Xue Xingqi. “I’m going to wash up.”
Xue Xingqi looked at Chen Bin, then at Pei Nan, and took over the mess with a sigh.
“Dad Xue, I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean it.” Chen Bin was coughing so hard he was almost crying.
Perhaps because Pei Nan said it so often, Xue Xingqi looked at Chen Bin through the lens of an “eldest son” as well. Seeing how miserably he was coughing, he didn’t have the heart to say anything. He patted him to soothe him, saying, “Alright, no one’s blaming you.”
“Xue Xingqi, come here quick! Look at what this thing on my stomach is?!”
