Reborn as an Alpha and Still Wanting to Engage in Lesbian Relationships - Chapter 30.3
Just when the adults think they must be exhausted, they run around wildly without a care. But when the adults think they still have energy to spare, they collapse and fall fast asleep the moment they step through the villa’s front door.
Watching the energetic little ones, Liu Ying couldn’t resist recording their antics and posting the footage on her StarNet account.
A blurry, out-of-focus video filled with the little ones’ cheerful laughter went viral on StarNet.
Many of the “aunties” who had followed the F4’s journey were drawn out by the video, pushing Liu Ying’s casually filmed clip to the top of the trending list.
Watching the little ones run freely on screen, the former viewers couldn’t help but feel their hearts melt.
Those little chubby babies were growing up well in places unknown to them, bringing immense comfort to the audience.
Soon, one comment rose to the top of Liu Ying’s comment section:
【ThinMintNotMintToothpaste: One person’s humble request, give the vlog camera to Manman!】
【ThisGreenPlumCandyIsRefreshing: Seconded!!!】
Seeing everyone’s excitement, Liu Ying asked Jiang Man about it during dinner.
“You mean attaching a camera to my clothes?” Little Jiang Man, the country pup, was hearing about “vlogs” for the first time and was utterly confused.
After her mother nodded, Jiang Man nodded along.
“Okay!” The adorable little one sat in front of her mother, swaying her head. “As long as it doesn’t get in the way of my fun, it’s fine!”
So, the next day, a new video suddenly appeared on Liu Ying’s StarNet account late at night.
The energetic voice of the little one at the beginning instantly transported viewers back to the summers of their childhood, washing away the fatigue of the day and healing them with her sunny, cheerful tone.
During the summer after graduating from the toddler class, Little Manzai became a novice vlog blogger.
The little one knew nothing about filming techniques or script setups; her camera simply captured her daily life running wild on the lush green lawn, climbing to the rooftop with friends to count stars under the chorus of cicadas.
There were no elaborate shots, and many scenes were out of focus due to the child’s lively energy. Yet, this seemingly unprofessional vlog became a source of spiritual nourishment for countless people.
Though she was a comfort to many “cyber aunties,” the little one had her own worries school was about to start again!
Thanks to the management of the principal of Green Jinjin Kindergarten and investments from four parents at varying levels, the once precarious and peeling main gate had finally been replaced with a new one.
At the same time, the number of students had increased.
Previously, the entire kindergarten had barely managed to gather thirty children in total. Now, a single grade had twice that number!
With more children came an inevitable issue: class division.
Fang Jin and Mu Qian were fine; though they might feel a bit sad if separated, they would soon cheer themselves up.
What gave Jiang Man a headache was Wen Qing, whom she saw as overly delicate and fragile.
Sometimes, Jiang Man felt Wen Qing was like the Lin Daiyu of this world delicate and pitiable. She couldn’t understand why so many children misunderstood Wen Qing, avoiding her whenever they played together.
Having once been a child herself, Jiang Man knew the pain of isolation and didn’t want Wen Qing to go through the same.
After much thought, Jiang Man decided to take the initiative and help Wen Qing build relationships.
On the first day of school, Jiang Man’s small backpack was stuffed so full that the little one nearly toppled backward under its weight.
Luckily, Liu Ying and Jiang Feng reacted quickly, steadying the child and helping her remove the backpack.
Though it looked small, the backpack was surprisingly heavy.
Jiang Feng lifted it, let out a surprised “whoa,” and unzipped it. Snacks, somehow crammed inside by the child, immediately spilled out from the opening. “Manzai, are you trying to move the entire snack room to kindergarten?”
Jiang Man shook her head very seriously. “No, this is to help my sister make friends.”
Perhaps because she often accompanied Jiang Feng to the office, the little one had picked up some habits and, like giving a report, had earnestly prepared a plan.
Jiang Feng raised an eyebrow, listening to the child’s proposal titled “Helping Wen Qing Make Friends and Avoid Isolation.”
After finishing her report, Jiang Man, the project planner, looked up at her mother and asked, “Mom, what do you think?”
Jiang Feng stroked her chin and thoughtfully offered her opinion, “I think, is it possible that your ‘delicate and pitiable’ Wen Qing simply doesn’t want to play with other children?”
“Impossible,” the child shook her head like a rattle drum, counting out instances where she had observed Wen Qing being “isolated.”
These included, but were not limited to: no one riding the rocking horse with her, no one swinging with her, no one building blocks with her, no one playing games with her.
Even during mealtime, if Jiang Man and the others were just a step too slow, they would see Wen Qing sitting all alone at a small dining table.
During naptime, unless Jiang Man was clutching her little pillow and sleeping next to Wen Qing, the space around her felt like a vacuum zone.
According to the little cub’s description, it really sounded as if Wen Qing was a pitiful, isolated young one.
But Jiang Feng didn’t believe it.
With her sharp eyes, Boss Jiang had seen through this pretty cub from the very first meeting, she was definitely no harmless creature!
Even later, when Wen Qing got injured saving Manzai, it only slightly softened Jiang Feng’s attitude toward her, but her impression remained unshaken.
Jiang Feng was absolutely certain that this seemingly well-behaved cub, Wen Qing, was like a deep abyss calm on the surface but turbulent beneath.
Sometimes, this cub’s beautiful eyes revealed a depth that didn’t match their age.
But since she seemed harmless to Manzai, Jiang Feng couldn’t be bothered to intervene and was content to watch the drama unfold.
In the end, Jiang Man’s pile of snacks was carried off to kindergarten.
When the two cubs were in the car, Wen Qing noticed the large backpack in Jiang Man’s arms and reached out to take it. The weight of the backpack startled her, and she looked up at its owner with a puzzled expression: “Manman, why are you bringing so many snacks? Don’t you like the cafeteria food?”
Jiang Man shook her head with an air of profound wisdom.
Watching the large backpack being set aside, Jiang Man reached out and patted Wen Qing’s shoulder: “Don’t worry, little sister. After today, all the kids will really like you!”
Why would she want them to like her?
Wen Qing didn’t understand, but seeing Jiang Man so enthusiastic, she smiled along and raised her fist in encouragement.
Her emerald eyes sparkled with laughter, overflowing with affection as she gazed at the cub before her.
I like her so, so much. I really like Manman.
Auntie Driver steered the car smoothly, picking up two other cubs along the way. The little ones sat in the back seat, chattering about the class assignments for the day.
Observing Wen Qing’s calm composure, Fang Jin grew curious. Based on their impression of Wen Qing, if the class assignments were going to separate them, she should have been the most restless cub.
But now, why did she seem the least worried?
Fang Jin poked Jiang Man, and the two cubs leaned in to whisper: “Manzai, why does Wen Qing look so unbothered and unhurried?”
Jiang Man turned to look at Wen Qing and saw the pretty cub with her eyes closed, leaning against the seatback, her face indeed devoid of the excessive anxiety and sadness that Fang Jin was displaying.
After a moment’s thought, Jiang Man turned back: “Maybe it’s because little sister has always been mature. She’s not afraid of the class assignments.”
“Don’t you remember? On our first day in the toddler class, you and the other kids were crying your eyes out. In the whole kindergarten, only me, little sister, and Mu Qian didn’t cry!”
Suddenly having her past embarrassing moment exposed by her best friend, the cub who now considered herself a mature and steady big girl quickly covered her ears, muttering: “I’m not listening, I’m not listening to Manman’s chanting. You must have remembered it wrong! I’m a big sister, how could I possibly cry?”
Seeing Fang Jin deny it, the mischievous Manzai couldn’t resist stirring up trouble. She pulled Mu Qian to testify about Fang Jin’s bawling episode when they first entered kindergarten.
Mu Qian, who often played along with the mischievous Manzai, was certainly no innocent cub either.
She placed her hands on her knees, stared at Fang Jin, and nodded seriously: “That’s right. I even have a photo of you crying with snot bubbles. Do you want to see it?”
“Aww!”
Enraged, Little Chick Fluff let out an “aowu” and pounced on the two mischievous pups who had been teasing and bullying her.
The three little pups tussled with playful growls, while the lone coiled snake pup nearby would step in to help whenever it saw its beloved pup at a disadvantage.
Exhausted from being teased by the three troublemakers, Fang Jin’s clumsy pup collapsed onto the seat, hoping to rest, only to be reminded by Auntie Driver that they had already arrived at the kindergarten gate.
“Bye-bye, Auntie!”
Carrying her large backpack, the little pup hopped cheerfully out of the car and bid a lively farewell to Auntie Driver.
She then joined her little friends, playfully roughhousing as they made their way into the kindergarten.
On the first day of school, the pups were still gathering in their original classes.
However, with many new pups enrolling this year, the Sunflower Class, which originally had only eight pups, had suddenly expanded to twenty.
Jiang Man curiously peeked around, observing the unfamiliar pups who thought they were being discreet as they stared her way.
Although Pup-Watching Diary had ended a year ago, its popularity only continued to grow.
In many households, even if there were no photos of their own pups, one could always find a group photo of the four families, their four pups, and all the production crew members.
Some lucky ones even had autographs from Liu Ying and the others, along with the pups’ paw prints on the back of the photo, a special thank-you gift prepared for the audience at the end of the edited online version.
Many pups, just two or three years old, had already been fans of Man Man for a full year.
Upon seeing the very same Man Man they watched daily on their mothers’ tablets or in framed photos at home, the pups grew excited yet shy, fidgeting and unsure how to approach the little star.
But there’s always a brave one!
Amidst the crowd’s attention, an exceptionally beautiful pup strode confidently toward Jiang Man and the others.
This pretty pup had a clear goal, paying no attention to Wen Qing or the others, and walked straight up to Jiang Man, extending her hand gracefully. “Hello, Man Man! My name is Yi Yi. Can we be friends?”
Jiang Man was taken aback, gazing at the beautiful pup before her, and slowly reached out her own hand.
Just as their hands were about to meet, another pup suddenly intervened.
A figure stepped in front of Jiang Man, and its owner spoke in a somewhat cold tone: “Hello, I think you’d rather get to know me.”
Frowning, Yi Yi glared at this unexpectedly intervening pretty pup, feeling annoyed. “I don’t want to know you. I want to be friends with Man Man!”
Suddenly, Yi Yi winced in pain as her hand was squeezed, her pretty face contorting in discomfort. She yanked her sore hand back and glared angrily at this rude, troublesome pup.
Yi Yi wanted to step forward again, but Fang Jin and Mu Qian, two well-behaved pups, subtly held her back to prevent her from being bullied further by Wen Qing, urging her to stay away for now.
What a brave soul! Daring to call Man Man “Man Man” right in front of Wen Qing!
“Why not! Man Man isn’t just hers alone!” Yi Yi protested loudly, shouting at Wen Qing, “Wen Qing, you’re a bad pup! So annoying!”
With that, she stomped away angrily.
Shielded behind Wen Qing, Jiang Man was completely oblivious to their confrontation. All she knew was that Wen Qing had tried to make friends with that pup, only to be inexplicably labeled a “bad pup.”
What did that little one mean by saying “Manman doesn’t belong to her alone”?
Jiang Man furrowed her tiny brows, tilting her head in confusion.
Before she could figure it out, the pretty little one in front of her turned around with a fragile, delicate demeanor, frowning in a pitiful manner.
“What’s wrong?” Jiang Man stepped forward and gently touched the beautiful face, her voice unconsciously softening: “Why is little sister unhappy?”
“Not little sister.” Wen Qing lowered her eyes, raised her hand to hold Jiang Man’s hand, and nuzzled her cheek against Jiang Man’s palm, saying plaintively: “Manman, am I really unlikable? Why did Yiyi say I’m a bad kid?”
The pitiful little one obediently nuzzled against Jiang Man’s palm while looking up at her with pleading eyes, making Jiang Man’s heart melt completely!
Seeing Wen Qing’s moist eyes, Jiang Man quickly used her other hand to stroke Wen Qing’s green long hair: “Who said that!” You’re so beautiful and well-behaved, how could you possibly be a bad kid!”
Wen Qing’s shimmering eyes fixed on Jiang Man’s: “Am I a good kid then? Does Manman like me?”
“Of course!” Jiang Man declared firmly, “Little sister is so pretty, I like you the most!”
Jiang Man tightly embraced the little one, happily nuzzling against her.
Fang Jin and Mu Qian sat nearby with accustomed expressions, calmly building blocks by themselves.
No matter how much the children resisted, the time for assembly and class division had finally arrived!
A group of children wearing little yellow hats gathered in the kindergarten’s small square.
Chirping and chattering noisily, they resembled a flock of chattering zebra finches.
The gentle and elegant principal stood on the stage, softly trying to calm the children’s emotions, with limited effect.
But there was one group of children that stood out as an exception.
In the Sunflower Class, led by the adorable King Manman holding their class sign, every child kept their mouths shut and stood as straight as little pine trees.
They absolutely couldn’t embarrass Manman!
Every child in the Sunflower Class had determined fire burning in their eyes.
Seeing how well-behaved the Sunflower Class children were, teachers from other classes came to consult with Teacher Li, Jiang Man’s homeroom teacher.
Surrounded by the other teachers, Teacher Li crossed her arms and proudly chuckled: “If your classes had a sweet, well-behaved treasure like Manman, you’d have this many good children too!”
When a teacher raised her hand to ask why, Teacher Li lowered her voice and whispered: “Do you know why they’re standing so straight and well-behaved? Because I told them that Manman likes good, obedient children the most.”
“Oh, and Wen Qing is excluded, she’s been labeled as a bad kid by them.”
